A new iPad application makes Twitter and Facebook feeds a whole lot prettier.

Flipboard, a start-up that is unveiling its iPad app on Wednesday, builds a personalized magazine full of updates, photos and articles shared by a reader’s friends or by people they choose to follow on Twitter and Facebook. Soon it plans to incorporate material from other sources, such as Flickr, Foursquare, Yelp and perhaps e-mail messages and attachments.

“It’s something print figured out years ago, how to visually declutter,” said Mike McCue, chief executive of Flipboard who founded the company with Evan Doll, a former iPhone engineer at Apple.

• Windows Key – Launcher
• Alt-Tab – switches between apps
• Alt-F1 – Terminal
• Alt-F2 – Application Text Launcher
• Alt-F4 – closes the current app
• Menu Key – the old application menu
• To do a quick search, go to your Launcher, hit tab, type an app’s name, select with the up and down arrow keys, and hit enter.

All existing iPhone accessibility features will be available on the iPad. This means VoiceOver, screen zoom, white-on-black display, mono audio, and closed-captioned content will all be supported on every iPad. It seems from the iPad specifications that fewer languages will be supported, at least initially, which will impact some VoiceOver users.
