I found this little trick on accident. Here is how you can stow a Z6 Rotary Cannon on your back.

1. Pickup the Weapon
2. Go to pause screen, SAVE your game, then immediately LOAD your game.
3. It should reload you with the gun on your back.

You can only stow the weapon in safe areas though, as the game won’t let you save in a conflict zone.

The Fix was to just do a factory reset on the headset through the swarm 2 mobile app.

Everything else that I tried did not fix the headset. I tried new drivers and a fresh windows 11 install, but it wasn’t a windows issue… something with the headset. Something got corrupted I guess?

Hopefully my struggles here help you out, try the factory reset on your headset first.

You can bypass the microsoft account sign in when installing Windows 11 by hitting Shift + F10 when you’re at the sign in screen.

A command window will open then type in start ms-cxh:localonly and hit enter.

Then it will open up a create local user windows… create a local user and you’re good to go!

Logged in one morning to find my buggy gone from my garage. It was stored in an enclosed space with a shield wall 600m on a mountain above open sand. Checked the event logs and it says Shai hulud destroyed my buggy. I put a bug report in and later found out that half the server I was on had their stuff stolen or hacked/deleted… nobody knows and I can’t get any answers.

Later on I watch shroud play and there’s a bug he exploits where you can just fly a thopter through another players shield on their base and take their stuff or move their vehicles around my shoving.

Fine whatever, I just count it as a loss and I’m not going to build another buggy… you won’t even get the buggy till 50hrs in if your’e actually doing the missions and not just running to pvp.

A day or so later I get to basically as geared as you can be in Hagga Basin and after the PvE change to the DD I figure I’d like to at least check it out and explore. I’m a PvE guy who likes missions and doesn’t mind coop, but the DD was just a absolute toxic mess.
I was just flying around exploring, happened upon a testing station? in row D on the map… go in, some people are already doing it so I join in, kill some enemies and get some rewards… then that group leaves and I start heading out… as I’m leaving another group shows up and I’m like sweet lets do this Again!
The dude legit first thing out of his mouth is, “if you’re solo get the fuck out of here, you won’t get shit. This is a group activity.” His guild is DDPD, deep desert police dept… these people are losers lol… So he waits for me to be outside the room and starts the activity which locks the room, then hes just mocking me… this is in the PvE zone btw… everyone gets loot. There’s just too many pathetic losers in the PvP area making life miserable for smaller groups or solos who legit are just trying to collect resources to build a new thopter or whatever…

So I respond in kind… I shouldn’t have but the guy was a douche for no reason.

Why the Endgame loot and resources are locked behind just trash groups of bullies I have no idea. Why do devs feel the absolute need to allow a space for any toxic nasty behavior is beyond my understanding… maybe sadists are bad with their money? And you can’t do the Deep Desert without a mic or chat going because you’ll be pleading w people to allow you to farm if you’re solo.

My recommendation is if you enjoy missions and doing single player stuff, Hagga Basin is amazing. But the endgame stuff will be miserable for you… so maybe wait for a sale if you have no interest in PvP or getting a sandcrawler or the endgame thopters…. you’d need an escort group to protect you.

Other problems I encountered were, the Dynamic HUD doesn’t work correctly and sometimes the HUD is just up all the time… also the HUD is super cluttered, especially on a big screen and there are 0 options to change it. No OLED considerations either or opacity settings. Controllers have minimal support, it took me a couple hours to try and fix the issue of Free Look not working when you use a controller and you need free look especially for the Deep Desert or maybe just enjoying the scenery while flying.
Also Nvidia had to make a hotfix patch to fix a issue and then the official most recent driver after that ran even worse than the hotfix driver, So I put the hotfix one back on… The game has some serious lag issues and frame skipping/stuttering.
I just built a new PC 2 weeks ago, 9900x3d with a 5070, so it’s not my machine.

Also this game doesn’t work on a second monitor with a controller, the cursor just drifts to the edge of the screen, it’s not my controller because when I play it on the Main display it doesn’t drift, and when I play it on my bigscreen tv from the couch it doesn’t drift.

Camera Shake setting keeps reverting back to on now matter how many times you change it, I tested this on two diff machines.

The Advanced Level 3 Planetologist quest also didn’t reward me with the special still suit he gives you. Supposedly if your inventory is full it just drops on the ground and anyone can pick it up, or if no one does, the sandstorm wipes them away…
I don’t remember if my inventory was full or anything, I wasn’t even notified of a reward so I just kept on playing… later on I watched a guide and realized oh I get a reward?!

In finality, for me, having your progress deleted is a game breaking bug and I put in for a refund twice now and was denied, so I contacted my CC company

Here’s how I fixed it.

The Dualsense Edge has two little Fn buttons on the front… they are remappable in steam.
In the steam app on pc, go to the controller settings for Dune and set either of the Fn buttons to a random key on your keyboard and then In the Dune Awakening game go to Keyboard rebinding for the Vehicle and change Free look to the same key. Now you can just hold the Fn button when you want to look around.

I’m hoping eventually they will get full controller support for all the controller when they port this game to consoles.
