I went in there just hoping to inspire and be real with them. I talked to them as if they were my friends, I mean we are pretty close in age.

I may be young but I have experience, knowledge, insight and advice about the TV industry.

I talked to them about my high school, college experiences including my NYC BET internship, and my latest achievement, being The Face of FOX Toledo.

It just made me happy to know they were interested but it makes me have faith in our future generations.

They asked many questions, gave me feedback. It was a great experience.

My goal was to inspire and them to be able to leave with something they could remember.

Zumba is a latin inspired workout class. It is so easy to follow.

I take my classes at The Lutheran Home of Toledo and have 3 great instructors to follow during class.

In the first week of Zumba, I went 5 times, I lost 5 lbs, already!

My new love!!!

His name is Baby…for now. I can’t think of a good name because every time I talk to him, I call him BABY. I don’t think it’s a manly enough name for a boy dog, so I must come up with a new name! HELP ME!!!

As I’ve grown, my mother has truly became my best friends. She always puts everyone before her. She is my number one. I remember when I was a bratty teen, we used to fight about everything because I wasn’t mature and ready to listen to her. She has always been right.

Most of the time, I don’t think she knows how much I appreciate her and need her. She has helped me with everything in life, from walking to college. I just wanted to take the time out to say Thank you, I love you. You are my number one. I hope to be, at least, half the woman you are someday.

Today, I went to Blessed Sacrament Elementary School to read a story to a class of 5th graders. I really did not know what to expect because I don’t remember how it was to be in 5th grade. Was I mature? Was I hyper? I really can’t remember. I was so anxious and nervous cause I was hoping they’d like me and my story!

I read to them a book called “The Boy Who Stuck Out His Tongue” written by Edith Tarbescu and illustrated by Judith Christine Mills. It was a short story with many lessons. I asked them what lessons they learned from the story.  I was so proud when I heard all of their answers. They were saying things from ” Do what you’re told” to “Respect people”. I was so happy!

The class was so great. I asked them what they want to be when they grow up. I got a variety of answers from a pediatrician to an athlete to a news anchor.

I stressed to them the importance of reading and how it everywhere in your life….for the rest of your life. I told them how important reading is for being the Face of FOX Toledo. I also told them, if they wanted to learn a different language – reading is a great way. A lot of them wanted to learn Japanese, Spanish and French!

I truly left the 5th grade class reassured that our future generations have great heads on their shoulders!!

 No, I’m not heart broken and yes, I am single. These are things I think about if I were in a relationship. Yes, from the beginning – I told you. I am a hopeless romantic! I wrote all of these because I hope they can help people who may be in these common situations.

• No matter how many times you’ve been hurt, how many failing relationships & rejections you’ve had..There’s happiness & someone out there for everyone. It’s just a matter of time & patience waiting for the right one.

• It’s fun to be single, carefree, & receive attention from others but there’s nothing like being taken by someone who cares about you & gives you their genuine attention & time. Appreciate their love & them.

• Some don’t appreciate what they have until they’re about to lose it.

If this was your last year of living – what do you want to accomplish?

Answer:  I want to be able to be recognized by others when I’m in the streets. I want to be comfortable with myself and where I’m at. I also want to be the best person, friend, daughter and sister I can be. I want to publish a book or create a website of my poetry….oh & stil be on TV!

How would you live your last year?

Answer: I think I would live a little more on the wild side. If I have the green spend it a little more, because who cares – the world is ending. I’d probably skip paying back all my student loans too. LOL I’d also try to travel more, I haven’t seen LA or Atlanta yet.
