Sorry I guess I should explain: My name is Dietz, I'm 27 and have been spinning records since 2000. I googled DJ Evergreen actually to see if anyone else had the name that I use and I found your MySpace. I left you message there explaining how I have used that name for about four years now, in clubs, raves and local CDs here in Florida and in NY. I never really made a myspace or a homepage cuz I wasn't really into the internet, so I'm not saying you need to change it or that I'm mad or anything, just that people were shouting that name from the rafters LONG before you thought of it. Good luck with going Green, keep switching it up.

What up!!? Haven't been here in a minute so let me get a quick post in. Basically I just got back in the studio. The last greenmix took alot out of me so I've just been chillin waitin for a song to come my way so I can murk it haha.

Looks like "Freeze" by T-Pain & Chris Brown is next on the list. I know its a little dated, but come on now! You know I wont dissapoint! (Atleast I hope not ;) Ha I'm letting the smile be the end parentheses as well. Basically Freeze is in the studio right now I'm tryin to mess with it, do somethin I haven't done before. I never want to get predictable.

It's about 3:17 AM right now. I have school in the morning. In fact, my alarm is set to go off at 6AM so I can finish some homework. After school I have track, so its going to be a long day. I probably won't get home until about 6ish? Yeah so that's going to suck. ALOT!!

The reason for that explanation is to let you know (whoever it is that reads this..) that I have spent about the past hour, hour and a half?, maybe even two hours making a remix to "Houstatlantavegas" I'm diggin the track alot and I'm a huge Drake fan. Ha plus all these people are coming to my site for the lyrics to the song. I figured you guys are obsessed with the song as I often am when I search for lyrics.

This is a great song about moving on in life and the glories of success. Even though life hasn't been as great as it could have been in the past you have to move on. No time to stop, stopping equals death.

-Houstatlantavegas
Fantastic story about a struggling woman. A woman who has dreams and goals in life, but the only way for her to make money is to strip, even though its degrading. She needs the money, she's stuck in the position selling her body. Its beautiful, Drake comically pokes fun, "and shes dances to this song" both to his song and the one that plays in the strip club, "Rodeo" by Juvenile. A song about sex and stripping. Drake seems to beg the listener to continue to throw their money at the stripper. "Throw your ones up in the air" the throwing of money is what will eventually allow this woman to escape the horrors of stripping.

Successful
This is a simple song, with a simple title. Successful. Its what we all want to be and what we strive for. These songs on the album seem to coincide with one another. "Lust.." ends with the lines "throw your ones up in the air" which is once again repeated in "Houstatlantavegas" Drake seems to be trying to conveying a message. Don't get me wrong I'm not claiming that these are the answers, they are simply what I see in the music. This song follows after "Houstatlantavegas" and seems to say that life is about success. Drake wants to be successful, Trey Songz who collabs on the track wants to be successful as well. Who defines success, its it "money, cars, clothes, or the hoes?..I suppose.." as Trey says. Each person wants that but is that what we all desire or is it what makes us "successful" in the eyes of this young society

Lets Call it Off I cant explain why I even like this song. I'm sorry, you just have to listen to it to understand. It is one of those tracks where you either feel it or you dont. It's certainly creative and definitely worth listening to.

Ignant Shit
On the majority of these tracks Drake switches between his smooth R&B demeanor and his gritty conversation-styled rap. However on "Ignant Shit" he lets loose with Lil Wayne. He takes Jay-Z's track "Ignorant Shit" from American Gangster" It is a sample from the beautiful Isley Brother's track. Drake kills the track, even at times mimicking Jigga's flow. He lets Wayne loose on the track, but its safe to say that his first verse keeps Weezy pretty contained, Wayne does not outshine Drake at all.

I have been talkin alot of trash about bringing back the party mix, so here it is. I made two of them. I've been messin around with Adobe Audtion lately, so I took the original mix, " O's" and turned it into "Rise" I tried to take my favorite parts out of it and shorten it up. It's about half the length but its also missing half the songs. So pick whichever one you want. Ha inspiration for the mixtape: Larry Fitzgerald Jr. The man is unreal haha damn I wanted the Cardinals to win the Super Bowl! I still think he should have one the MVP even though they lost. Quick post before i'm off to bed... Some of you might have heard the Unstoppable Remix with Drake, Lil Wayne and some dude that doesnt even matter..Santogold? idk maybe thats his name haha who cares. So I have given Drake the overused, illustrious title of Best Rapper Alive. While his counterpart Lil Wayne, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, Weezy F Baby, Weezy, BMJR, and whatever the hell else he wants to be called claims he is the best alive, I think he has passed the crown (or lost it) to Drake. However, I will say this is one of the worst Drake verses I have ever heard and Weezy rips it, so idkkkkkkk. So guys I decided that 2009 + January 20th = Time for me to change my blog..haa. So I decided to "step my game up" I guess you could say and get a layout that looks a little more professional. It takes alot of work each gadget I had to play around with to see where it looks best. Yeah, so I just uploaded the entire Geometric CD..its kinda late I had it ready for release but got swamped with other stuff. But hey! thats just life right? So I've been workin on something else. I'm calling it "Limited Edition". Let's see if I can effectively do an album preview with this one haha!
So coming soon, look out for it. I tried to do something similar to my idol GirlTalk and try some mashups. A couple sound nice and I'll put em on here. Obviously the kid is back. I've been chillin lately on vacation, enjoyin the new year, etc etc. I haven't been in the most mixing of moods haha but the other night it hit me and I just started going wild; I decided I'ma come out with a CD. Titled "Geometric" just cuz its gonna be crazy but its gonna have some balance and its gotta be smooth and even. Its 2009 and I'ma change it up. No more long mixes time to start doin songs. So on top of mixing, being such a boss DJ and all (haha cuz u know EVERYBODY knows me..ya right) ha so anyways another hobby of mine is film making. That being said, I was out in Cali this summer at a film camp..yes I still goto camp i'm only 17. But so I was out there this summer; to be specific Berkeley. I made a documentary about the tree protest that was goin on out there. If you're from that area or just keep up with the news you know what i'm talkin about. If not heres the sparknotes version:

the university of cal wanted to cut down some trees to build an athletic facility closer to their stadium. but the trees were endangered in the area, and it was illegal to cut them down. a group of protesters found out what was going on and staged a tree sit; since they were living in the trees they couldn't be cut down. it was an ongoing battle when i got there they had been in the trees for 565 days. so they weren't backing down. the court reviewed the case and decided the university has the right to do whatever they want on their own property, the building just had to be earthquake safe. that means trees gone, people kicked out, 567 days and they lost.
