The original source of the photos is not entirely clear, but the Photobucket account that published them has known to make revelations in the past. before Apple's new iPad was launched in March, the same account revealed that the next-generation iPad would be slightly thicker than the iPad 2.

There have been numerous reported leaks of Apple's upcoming iPhone 5, but some critics believe that this may be one of the most credible.

“In this case, it's the most comprehensive assembly of a leaked iPhone 5 to-date,” writes Chris Davies of Slash Gear.

Davies continued to write that the placement of each component makes this photo particularly believable.

“The handset's LCD frame, front-facing FaceTime camera, and home button are all in place, showing the camera's new central position and the elongated display expected to increase the smartphone's screen resolution to better compete with sizeable Android and Windows Phone devices,” he writes.

Although the iPhone 5 could be Apple's first smartphone to feature NFC connectivity, there are numerous devices on the market that offer this service. Competitors Samsung and Research in Motion comprise a decent chunk of this list with their Galaxy and BlackBerry devices. Manufacturers Nokia and LG are also on this list, according to Near Field Communications World.

Near Field Communication is another variation of short-range wireless technology which allows users to quickly exchange information between devices. when smartphones or tablets supporting NFC are touched together, they can swap data such as texts, images, URLs, and more by holding the gadget up to various “smart tags.”

As usual, Apple has been keeping quiet about its plans for the next-generation iPhone 5, and NFC support is another one of the device's rumored features. the reveal of the Passbook feature that will be coming with iOS 6 is the closest thing to a public announcement that Apple has made regarding the feature. It is likely that the next iteration of Apple's mobile operating system will also come with a digital wallet building on this Passbook system, and previously discovered Apple patents have revealed that NFC may be used for ticket sales and other data transfer purposes.

Although Apple has not official revealed the release date for its iPhone 5, the device is believed to launch next month on Sept. 21. the Cupertino, Calif.-based company will reportedly be unveiled the device at a keynote ceremony on Sept. 12 along with an iPad Mini, but this has yet to be confirmed.

This news was initially reported by iMore, and it seems as if service providers are preparing for the rumored launch. On Sunday, Tech Crunch reported that AT&T has scheduled a vacation blackout for employees from Sept. 21 through Sept. 30.

“We've received yet another bit of evidence confirming the next iPhone's September 21 launch,” the report read, citing an unnamed source from AT&T. “Our source also mentioned that blue carrier employees are undergoing training for an 'iconic release.'”

This is nearly identical to Verizon's alleged plans, as it was recently reported that the cell phone service provider would schedule a vacation blackout during the same time, according to Tech Crunch.

Fans will have to wait until next month to see if the release date rumors are true. other features that are speculated to come with the iPhone 5 include 4G LTE connectivity, a longer 4-inch display, tougher glass, a new dock connector, OLED display, in-cell touch panels, and more. The superstar songstress, aka Stefani Germanotta, swapped the stage for the stand and a six-hour videotaped deposition on August 6 in connection with a lawsuit filed by her former personal assistant, Jennifer O’Neill, Celebuzz has learned.

O’Neill is claiming Gaga’s Mermaid Touring Company owes her $380,000 in unpaid overtime. she has alleged in her suit there were no breaks for meals or “even sleep” and she was required for “spontaneous, random matters in the middle of the night” for Gaga.

“I have been very pleased with the outcome of discovery thus far,” O’Neill’s attorney, Paul Millus, of the law firm Snitow, Kanfer, Holtzer and Millus, told Celebuzz.

“Just by her (Gaga’s) responses, I believe our case is strong.”

O’Neill, 41, has claimed she worked for the “bad Romance” singer for 13 months and was at her beck and call including “ensuring the promptness of a towel following a shower and serving as a personal alarm clock to keep (Gaga) on schedule”.

She also alleged she was on duty at all hours of the day, leaving no time for “breaks, for meals, or otherwise… even sleep.”

According to court documents, O’Neill estimated she worked 7,168 hours of unpaid overtime. her base salary was $75,000.

Millus told Celebuzz he believes the case will go to trial.

“At this point, there’s nothing to stop it from going to trial,” he said, adding that if that happened, Gaga would be required to take to the witness stand.

“She absolutely will,” he said, adding: “Lady Gaga and Jennifer knew each other as friends before they worked together professionally.

“Anytime there’s litigation that may have a more personal element, they may be more difficult to resolve.”

Millus said his client only has one intention — to be paid the money he said she earned.

He said: “Jennifer’s motivation is pure and simple — to obtain payment for hours worked. It doesn’t matter if you work for a star or it’s glamorous. Work is work.”

O’Neill’s attorney added that Gaga’s motivation in the lawsuit could be more spiteful.

“She has indicated she would like to contest this matter in court,” Millus said.

“if that’s what she wants — and my client wants — I am more than willing to go there, 100 percent.”

Millus said he will be meeting with the judge in the next couple weeks and at that point, he said, it’s possible a trial date will be set.

When it comes to Italian restaurants, New York City has some pretty amazing ones. Of course, it does not compete with the great cities of Italy, but it just may be the next best place. Regardless of the type of pasta you are looking for, there is somewhere to get it in New York.

At the moment, the following restaurants serve up my favorite bowls of ravioli, tagliatelle, gnocchi, fussilli and others.

I will start off with one of my overall favorite restaurants, Convivio. This place is just awesome. Chef Michael White pulls out all the stops with this pasta, serving up amazing dishes like maccheroni a la carbonara, which might be the best version of the dish I’ve ever tried.

Another must try place when visiting New York City is the legendary Il Mulino. This place is too good. You will leave so full you will not want to eat for days. one piece of advice: do not fill up on the breadsticks.

Down in TriBeCa is the wildly popular Locanda Verde. You can’t really go wrong with the pastas here, but one of the best dishes they offer is the Orecchiette with homemade duck sausage, broccoli rabe and piave.

If you find yourself on the lower East Side, a great place to try out is Falai. Located on Clinton Street, this place serves up specialities like Gnudi, with ricotta cheese, baby spinach, brown butter, crema di latte and crispy sage. Enough said.

Another place that is worth mentioning is Max. With three locations in the city, this place probably serves up the best pasta for the price. The portions are huge and you can get out of there for under $20.

These are just some of the best pasta places the big Apple has to offer, but with so many options, there are many others that are worth writing another article about.

In a press release, LG Electronics announced that its upcoming smartphone will make use of Qualcomm’s latest quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor as well as component technology from various sister companies. These include battery, panel and touch technology from LG Chem, LG display and LG Innotek, respectively.

LG Chem’s contribution will apparently give the new smartphone a battery that is 60 percent more efficient than similarly sized batteries. it is also claimed to have a lifespan of 800 recharge cycles, an improvement over the standard 500 charges in batteries today.

The new True HD IPS+ display will have a resolution of 1,280 x 768 pixels, and boasts of generating 470 nits of brightness, while supposedly consuming 70 percent less power compared with AMOLED screens when displaying a white background. This screen will have a pixel density of 320ppi, so working backwards using the formula for ppi calculation, it’ll sport a 4.7-inch display.

Related to this is the touchscreen technology that will eliminate the gap between the glass and the LCD panel. This is not completely new since HTC has something similar in the HTC one X Android smartphone.

While that’s all we know officially, the phone has unofficially been leaked through AndroidMx, which got hands-on time with it. Codenamed Optimus G, other noteworthy features include 2GB RAM for running programs, a 13-megapixel camera and Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)–though we hope that last item may change since Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) is already available.

LG has not said when this product will be announced. if it’s soon, this phone needs to really impress as high-profile smartphone announcements from Apple, Nokia and Samsung are all expected in the next three weeks.

Ever see that video with the guys dancing on treadmills? It is one of the videos that caused the general population to realize the power of YouTube. here It goes Again just keeps going, getting over 53 million views since 2006. If you haven’t seen it, just Google treadmills and it will come up very high in the results. four guys are dancing on and between six treadmills while singing to the beat.

How did this happen? Why did this three minute video get so many views? It can only be because it is so amusing to watch that people sent the link to their friends. The video has often been used in Internet marketing circles as a prime example of a video going viral and being passed around with such amazing speed that it opens minds up to similar possibilities.

The Los Angeles band that made the video is called OK Go. The band was formed in 1999 and the song in the video is from their second album, Now 23. The video took twelve days of rehearsal, seventeen takes, and many falls and bruises to get it all down in the final takes. It features bassist Tim Nordwind lipsynching the words. The dance was choreographed by the sister of OK Go member Damion Kulash’s. It is the band’s only single to make to Billboard magazine’s Hot 100, where it entered the top 40 at #38, mostly due to the video. The video won the 2007 Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video. The treadmill dance on the video has been parodied in a number of places, most notably in the TV show The Simpsons entitled Husbands and Knives where Marge has difficulty finding the right gym for her and one gym has four people doing the treadmill dance.

After all this, it wouldn’t be surprising that the band would want to move past the treadmill stage of their careers and explore new ground. I used to use treadmills for exercise. I have moved from treadmills to ellipticals – not because of the million views online, but because my knees can’t take the impact anymore, said OK Go bassist Tim Nordwind. There probably was a period in time when if someone had asked me, I would’ve been like, ‘ I don’t care if I ever see another treadmill again.’ But I’m sort of past that point.

When the band performed the dance routine from the video at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards, it did so without the treadmills. There was also no treadmill onstage during a recent live performance of the There It goes Again song. Will the video live on longer than the band that made it? In attempt to get past the prospect of being a one-hit wonder and typecast as treadmill artists, OK Go has released new music. they have produced a somewhat similarly-styled video, without a treadmill, that has been viewed about 20 million times, called this too Shall Pass. It features a Rube Goldberg-like machine, an intentionally complex contraption that uses chain reactions to perform a simple task.

San Jose, Calif. — Nine Silicon Valley residents who presided over the epic three-week patent trial between smart phone titans Apple Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. began deliberating the multibillion-dollar case Wednesday.

Apple is demanding Samsung pay it $2.5 billion for allegedly stealing the design technology of the iPad and iPhone to create illegal knockoffs. Samsung counters that Apple stole its technology and is demanding $399 million.

During closing arguments Tuesday, a lawyer for Apple said that Samsung was having a “crisis of design” after the launch of the iPhone, and executives with the South Korean company were determined to illegally cash in on the success of the revolutionary device

Samsung’s lawyer countered that the technology giant was simply and legally giving consumers what they want: Smart phones with big screens. Lawyers finished their closing arguments late Tuesday.

The competing claims came after last-minute talks between chief executives failed to resolve the dispute.

Apple Corp. argues that Samsung Electronics Co. should pay the Cupertino-based company $2.5 billion for ripping off its iPhone and iPad technology when it marketed competing devices.

Samsung has sold 22.7 million smart phones and tablets using stolen — “infringed” in legalese — Apple technology since June 2010 on sales of $8.16 billion, Apple’s lead attorney, Harold McElhinny told jurors Tuesday.

“The damages in this case should be large because the infringement has been massive,” he said.

McElhinny said Apple confronted Samsung about the alleged copying and sought a resolution before filing its lawsuit last year.

“Instead of doing the right thing, Samsung decided to gin up claims of its own,” McElhinny said of Samsung’s counterclaim seeking $399 million from Apple for allegedly using Samsung technology in making the iconic iPhone and iPad.

Apple and Samsung combined account for more than half of global smart phone sales. Apple is also demanding that Samsung pull its most popular cell phones and computer tablets from the U.S. market.

“Apple is asking what it is not entitled to,” Samsung’s lawyer Charles Verhoeven said during his closing arguments. “Rather than competing in the marketplace, Apple is seeking an edge in the courtroom.”

Verhoeven argued that the state of technology has led most phone makers to design simple-to-use products with large, rounded rectangular faces. he conceded that Apple makes great products but said it doesn’t have a monopoly on the design it claims it created.

“There is nothing nefarious about this, it’s the way technology has evolved,” he said, showing jurors a slide of a Best buy advertisement with photos of similar-looking phones made by several different companies. “It’s not against the law in this country to be inspired by your competition.”

Verhoeven implored jurors to reject Apple’s claims as a way to preserve competition in the United States for smart phones and computer tabs. he said a verdict in Apple’s favor could reverberate throughout the marketplace.

“Consumers deserve a choice,” the lawyer argued.

The jury of nine people will consider the case after hearing three weeks of testimony from technology experts, patent professionals and company executives.

Apple’s damage demands, if awarded, would represent the largest patent verdict in the U.S.

From the beginning, legal experts and Wall Street analysts have viewed Samsung as the underdog. to begin with, Apple’s headquarters is a mere 10 miles from the courthouse, and jurors were picked from the heart of Silicon Valley where the company’s late founder Steve Jobs is a revered technological pioneer.

While the legal and technological issues may be complex, patent expert Alexander I. Poltorak says the case will likely boil down to whether jurors believe Samsung’s products at issue look and feel almost identical to Apple’s iPhone and iPad.

“Most jurors will probably say they look alike,” said Poltorak, who is chief executive of General Patent Corp.

In June, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh called Samsung’s Galaxy 10.1 tablet computer “virtually indistinguishable” from Apple’s iPad and banned its sale in the United States until the resolution of the case.

“There was some evidence that Samsung altered its design to make its product look more like Apple’s,” Koh found two months before the trial started.

To overcome that hurdle, Samsung’s battalion of lawyers has been arguing that many of Apple’s claims of innovation are either obvious ideas or were actually stolen ideas from Sony Corp. and others. Experts called that line of argument a high-risk strategy because of Apple’s reputation as an innovator.

“Saying Apple is a copyist is going to be a hard sell,” said Ellen Brickman, a New York-based jury and trial consultant. “Apple changed the world when it came to computers. Apple changed the world when it came to phones.”

Poltorak said a verdict in Apple’s favor would cost Samsung a lot of money but wouldn’t dramatically disrupt the smart phone markets. he predicted that Samsung engineers would quickly redesign the company’s smart phone and computer tablets to compete if Apple wins the lawsuit.

Apple lawyers argue there is almost no difference between Samsung’s products and those of Apple, and presented Samsung’s internal documents they say show it copied Apple’s designs. Samsung lawyers countered that several other companies and inventors had previously developed much of the Apple technology at issue.

The U.S. trial is just the latest skirmish between the two over product designs. the two companies have been fighting in courts in Australia, the United Kingdom and Germany.

The case is one of some 50 lawsuits among myriad telecommunications companies jockeying for position in the burgeoning $219 billion market for smart phones and computer tablets.

Coming soon: A collaboration between Skrillex and Kanye West?

Well, it seems the answer is yes, though we’re not exactly sure when (or even where) that collabo will materialize … though we suspect that’s because even Skrillex himself doesn’t know the answer to those questions.

“I did some music with Kanye,” he told The Daily Beast. “And from what I know, it’s actually going to be the first song on his new album.”

Cool. of course, the only point of contention seems to be what new album Skrill was talking about … their team-up could either appear on ‘Ye’s upcoming G.O.O.D. Music release, Cruel Summer (due September 4), or his sixth solo album, which producer no I.D. recently told MTV News is also in the works:

“I’m not working on that [Cruel Summer] album, I’m working on his album,” I.D. said. “This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn’t missed yet, so don’t expect him to miss … It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect.”

And a Skrillex collaboration would definitely fit with that description. And perhaps we’ll be able to get an answer at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, where both Skrill and ‘Ye are up for Moonmen. Skrillex’s reps have “no comment” on the collabo, and at press time, MTV News’ attempts to seek comment from West’s reps proved unsuccessful.
