WINTER IS COMING TO TAMPA BAY!

What a blast from Mother Nature… another cold front. We went straight from summer temperatures to winter temperatures with no in between, and it is going to make the big fish move back into the Bay.

INSHORE - Good reports from the inshore anglers this week. We had a lot of action from the spanish mackerel, bluefish and jacks that are in the Ft. Pierce Inlet and around the local bridges. These fish have been taking just about any kind of bait however the best has been a 1/4oz. silver spoon.

Exclusive Report

Marathon locals Jim McDermott (L) and John Yaquinto enjoyed a half day of reef fishing with SeaSquared Charters.

Conditions were excellent with wind and current running in the same direction. There was a nice breeze out of the northeast and the visability at 50 feet was crystal clear.

Well, tropical storm IDA has come and gone, but have no fear, the reds are still here. I had a short 4-hr trip today, and as predicted, the bite was very good. We caught some good fish and fought a few that pulled the hooks, but all in all, had a great day on the water. Today’s biggest fish was around 22lbs, and the fight it gave my client was awesome, especially on light tackle.

November 20th, 2009

Guatemala now a Golf Destination as well as world class fishing !

When you are thinking of golf destinations, Guatemala may not be the first that comes to mind.

For a population of about 14 million living in a country roughly the size of Tennessee, golf remains largely an elitist sport, but that is starting to change. The country is home to five courses and to date has comfortably accommodated the country’s two thousand or so active players.
