As such, we'll be shutting this one down soon after we've migrated all this lovely information over to the new space. Months and months in the works, but now happily live! We're really proud of this new site which has a host of great new features:

Fabric search system allows people to see what's coming, what's shipping, what's likely in-stores and what we've done in the past.
It also allows search by designer, substrates and division.
Designer page with easy links to their collections and personal sites
Make It Sew projects, suitable for the beginner to intermediate sewist, are featured for nearly every collection and can be used for kitting and/or classes
Zoom to a 500 dpi image without leaving the page (images can be used for online retailers for their own sites)
Pinterest buttons make it easy to record your favorite Cloud9 prints.
Amazing new store locator which allows search by collection as well as location and retailer type
Streamlined FAQ's
Refined contact page with a new directory
Wholesale links that are easier to navigate
A new scrapbook for our press features
Our blog {still in development} is now housed within the site - with a clearer category system to make it easier to spark imaginations and find news bits

And finally, in a few short weeks our online wholesale shop will see a facelift which will better reflect our new branding and stylistic themes.

Especially useful on this cold polar vortex-y day. Simple to make. We whipped this up, but there's lots of tutorials for similar. {like this one from Martha Stewart}

We modernized it by making 1/3 one print (in this case Smile & Wave | Magenta) and 2/3 another print (It's A Plus).

Field Trip | Hawthorne Threads

We don't get out of the office nearly as much as we'd like and visiting shops happens even less often. So, we were excited to take advantage of Hawthorne Threads Charlie and Lindsay's invitation to visit their shop and meet the staff. This was our first venture to see an exclusively online business and it is a really impressive operation.

Here's some peeks of the goodness we found.

Co-owners Michelle and Gina: This is just as we got on an Amtrak train. About 1 hour later, when we still have not left the station due to delays, we did not look so pleased, but we were happy not to be at the office so it's all good!

One of the areas where our fabrics are stowed. This array rivals our own studio!

This is one impressive cutting table! {we're a little jealous}

Neat to see our quilt patterns made into kits! This one is for Up Up Away's Soaring High Quilt by Maureen Cracknell.

These two cuties are Charlie and Lindsay's sweeties. So adorable!

She left with some indelible imagery which she's translated graphically into Enchanted. A clean, stylized take on southwestern motifs that give it a light feel. Shipping March '14.

Quilter and teacher, Charles Johns' interpretation for a seasonal makeover in Dem Bones really impresses us!

Firstly, he did this duo of pennant projects, which can really translate for any season, but work so nicely with the scale of Dem Bones. It's subtle and easy to live with paired with a variety of gourd-colored solids.

The credenza and window treatments drip with festive triangular bunting. Download the triangle pattern PDF here.

Valance comprised of triangular pennants bound by binding tape tacks into the top of the window frame with ease.

Quilter and teacher Charles Johns created this quilt-as-you-go table runner. This somewhat improvised project is great a great scrap-buster, too. Here's a great tutorial on this style of quilting for this simple project if you're looking for a starting point on making one for yourself!
