The Shimano Cruxis Baitcasting Reel features Dartainium drag for the smoothest Shimano drag performance ever. And that's not even the half of it: Lo-Mass drilled spool system reduces the spool weight and lowers start-up inertia for more manageable casts with this Shimano fishing reel. The Super Free bearing supported pinion gear system eliminates friction between the pinion gear and spool shaft. This Shimano fishing reel also High Efficiency Gearing, a Variable Brake System that uses centrifugal force rather than magnets to control the cast for increased distance, and a Super Stopper 1-way roller bearing eliminates backplay for solid hooksets. The Assist Stopper acts as a back-up anti-reverse system to reduce the stress placed on the 1-way roller bearing and increase durability.

The Shimano Cruxis baitcasting reel also offers a Turn-key access side plate and a drilled handle shank that reduces the weight of the Reel.
