'Gangnam Style' passes 2 Billion YouTube Views within 2 Years

The Most visited Song by PSY - The "Gangnam Style" has passed a Whooping 2 Billion YouTube views and to the surprise it has managed to reach this milestone within 2 years.

YouTube in its Google+ Page wished PSY and posted like this - The most-viewed video on YouTube just hit another jaw-dropping milestone. Congrats on your 2 billionth view, PSY!

Celebrating this milestone, YouTube has placed two dancing PSY's one to left and other to right of View counter and clicking any of those PSY Gif Icon will trigger an animation at top of the video with multiple people in form of present count (2 billion+) dancing in Gangnam style.(See Image below)

Whats more interesting was The official "Gangnam Style" video was published on July 15, 2012, and reached one billion views before the end of 2012 and now it has managed to reached 2 billion views which is staggering as the milestone was reached well within 2 years.

But however the Video Statistics for the video still shows less than 2 billion views and it has managed to get 1 million subscription to "officialpsy" YouTube page and the video has been shared over 2 million times. Motorola especially has made a huge sales from Moto G in India when it launched and just 3 months passed as it gears up for another Android phone which is much more cheaper than Moto G keeping in mind of low budget Android Fans and it comes up in the name of Moto E (Economic - I guess :P)

You will be surprised to hear the specs of Moto E considering the fact it works on latest Android - 4.4 KitKat. Tata DOCOMO Domain has expired

Tata DOCOMO, Indian cellular service provider has forgot to renew some of its domains and has expired, which is surprising.

If you are a Tata Docomo user and by chance have visited one of its domain (tatadocomo.com) on April 22, you can see it gets redirected to a page mentioning the domain name has expired with some ads showing up at bottom which is ideal to any expired domain.

But this quite surprising as Tata Docomo has huge user base in India and considering the fact its a facepalm moment for the service provider and to the fact, the domain was created on 22nd April 2009 and the last updated date was till 22nd April 2014 valid for 5 years. Only after it was realized by the registrar, the domain was updated or extended a day later on 23rd April as per whois info which is quite normal as it takes a day for DNS Info to get updated making the site not accessible for a day.

Also its .in domain - tatadocomo.in was still not accessible as of now and again it was expired with its .com domain.Recently Another domain - Yatra.com was not renewed and expired on August 9th 2013.

From this its evident that all blog or website owners to take utmost care to make sure the domain's deadline is on safer side and blog owners must make sure to check his/her mail :)

Moto G Forte is now Available in Mexico

Motorola has revealed Moto G Forte, The rugged version of Moto G is now available in Mexico and listed on Motorola's Mexico website.

Before reading further, Don't assume that this is a newer version of Moto G which is less exciting for any Moto G Fans but rather it's a Moto G with a rugged Grip Shell case pre-installed, Which makes the Phone more protected thus justifying the word "Forte" means "Strong" in Italian.

Below Quote as mentioned in Motorola Mexico website -

Moto G Forte is designed for everything you want to do. Your Motorola Grip Shell with rubber frame provides improved grip and impact protection.

Although the Grip Shell is offered for an extra $19.99 in the US, Motorola wanted to make sure this Masterpiece to come up with Grip Shell in default, which would rather attract lots of Mexican users to go for it blindly rather looking up for some other case or buying the Official case separately.

As the Grip Shell is rubberized “for extra grip and protection against impact”, I feel this is a great move from Motorola but as an ardent Moto G Fan, I am rather slightly disappointed that there is nothing new in actual phone.

WhatsApp Sets Record by handling 64 Billion messages In a Single Day

WhatsApp the famous Messaging Service Sets new daily record by handling 64 Billion messages within 24 hours.

We all Know WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook for a Whooping $19 billion dollar and here it sets another record in Billion, The billion dollar baby has started making news after the acquisition by Facebook and it made a huge buzz when it went down on February 23 causing a major Outage and now it sets another record for messages sent and received in 24 hours.

Here's the tweet from WhatsApp's Twitter account stating the record.

new daily record: 20B messages sent (inbound) and 44B messages received (outbound) by our users = 64B messages handled in just 24 hours.

The Previous Record was on Dec 31st 2013 - 7B messages inbound, 11B messages outbound = 18 billion total messages processed in one day, But the recent one broke it by a huge margin which equals -- 3.5 X previous record

This record has lead to another outage like situation where most of the users are experiencing some issues early morning today, Although there isn't any Official confirmation from WhatsApp yet. But When verified from the site isitdownrightnow.com -WhatsApp It shows a ping of 4267.7 ms On April 1st around 9 AM PT which shows its encountering heavy usage during that period of time and well that might be a spark for this Outage.

iPhone Sales by Apple have crossed Half a Billion Or 500 Million (500,000,000) and can you believe that?..

Apple launched iPhone in the year 2007 and on 2008 Steve Jobs have predicted a Sales of 10 million iPhone's for that particular year and to the surprise 13.7 million iPhone were sold out which is a huge success for Both Apple and Steve Jobs.

100 Million - February 2011
200 Million - February 2012 (Exactly after a year)
300 MIillion - Before End of 2012
400 Million - July 2013
500 Million - March 2014

Here's another fact, Apple has sold 500 million smartphones in less than 7 years. Also there is another Statistics from BGR which states, Spring iPhone Sales are looking extremely weak.

Lets hope iPhone 6 gets released soon or Apple will make sure the iPhone gets sold out more in developing countries which accelerates its Sales closer to 600 Million and more.

Turkey ahead of elections has blocked Twitter as the social media platform became platform for allegations of government corruption.

Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said like this "Twitter and the rest, we will root out all of them. I don't care what the international community says, they will see the power of the Republic of Turkey". This literally shocked all users in Turkey as It is one of the top 10 users of Twitter world-wide with millions of users.

But the Good thing is all Turkish users can still send tweets by using text messaging feature. And this move
literally triggered a huge Tsunami as everyone has started using Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4), VPN's, TOR.etc to access Twitter.

The hashtag #TwitterisblockedinTurkey became the top trend world-wide within hours after the government blocked Twitter access in Turkey. According to WSJ, Twitter is currently blocked in China and has faced restrictions in Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Libya, Pakistan and Syria.

Moto X 16 GB to be Released in India via Flipkart Starting from Rs. 23,999

Motorola's Moto X is coming to India on March 19th via Flipkart for the base price tag of Rs 23, 999. And this is quite a best buy for all Indian fans who wants to purchase Moto X.

Motorola was launched in US last August with Jelly Bean and literally rolled out KitKat in November. And For your Info, Its a customizable Android Phone.

The Moto X features a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon processor along with 2GB of RAM.

Mark Zuckerberg, Founder of Facebook in his Post today has expressed his frustration over the threat to Internet and said he has called up Barack Obama about this.

Here's what he has posted on his Facebook Wall -

As the world becomes more complex and governments everywhere struggle, trust in the internet is more important today than ever.

The internet is our shared space. It helps us connect. It spreads opportunity. It enables us to learn. It gives us a voice. It makes us stronger and safer together.

To keep the internet strong, we need to keep it secure. That's why at Facebook we spend a lot of our energy making our services and the whole internet safer and more secure. We encrypt communications, we use secure protocols for traffic, we encourage people to use multiple factors for authentication and we go out of our way to help fix issues we find in other people's services.

The internet works because most people and companies do the same. We work together to create this secure environment and make our shared space even better for the world.

This is why I've been so confused and frustrated by the repeated reports of the behavior of the US government. When our engineers work tirelessly to improve security, we imagine we're protecting you against criminals, not our own government.

The US government should be the champion for the internet, not a threat. They need to be much more transparent about what they're doing, or otherwise people will believe the worst.

I've called President Obama to express my frustration over the damage the government is creating for all of our future. Unfortunately, it seems like it will take a very long time for true full reform.

Moto G gets USB OTG Support for KitKat with new Software Update

Motorola's super hit Mobile - Moto G which is released in many countries has even got the latest Android Update - KitKat and here's a new software update from Motorola for fixing USB OTG support Issue and Other issues.

Moto G Users seems to be happy with the Preloaded Jelly bean update but Motorola has already announced that the device will get KitKat update and now users seems to be facing some issues such as cellular network loss, Battery issues and to the special USB On The Go (OTG) support which seems to be not working in KitKat update but working seamlessly in JellyBean

Also i can see a Motorola forum post about OTG breakup in KitKat upgrade and also in Other Android forums, But Along with that Motorola seems to be so keen on other issue and have released a new Sofware update which fixes below issues-

Fixed an Issue which caused temporary cellular network loss for a small number of Moto G customers
Fixed Wallpaper cropping issue
Resolved USB On The Go Support issue with USB drivers.
Fixed low call volume experienced by some users.

Motorola has justified for the cause of users agony and to the addition of that the release seems to be quite surprising on. Now the latest System version is 174.44.1.en.US (Global GSM) whereas the Older version was "172.44.4.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US."

All you got to do is Navigate to About Phone - System Updates - Yes, I'm in - Download and Install.. Voila. Here's the detailed Release Notes about this new Software Update.

Now View Taj Mahal via Google Street View

Google has brought the great Indian Monument Taj Mahal on Google Street view. Now people can have a look at it anywhere from the world.

According to BBC, Google has teamed up with the Indian ministry of culture to bring the Taj Mahal and 99 other heritage sites to Street View. And its really a great move to see Taj Mahal via Street View and excited to look for other monuments and places through Google's Street view.

Google Street view is already available for exotic places like Grand Canyon and Burj Khalifa in Dubai - World's tallest Skyscraper. And good to see Taj Mahal is under Street view's Coverage. Suren Ruhela, geo product manager for Google India, told the BBC: "We are creating a digital record of these monuments and those records will live forever.

What's really exciting was people can have a look inside closed rooms especially the tomb in the basement.

Google in its +Google post has shared like this - "Just in time for Valentine's Day: Nexus 5 now in bright red on Google Play:" Also has introduced a contest where anyone can win new Red Nexus 5 Phone.

After making a rocking entry by releasing Nexus 5 both in White and Black color, On account of Valentine's day it has released the new Bright Red Nexus 5 and it's absolutely stunning. Also LG says the new color will be available from this month in the U.S., Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Korea," with broader European availability by the end of the month.

Even I feel envy about the phone which was released today in India, considering the cost which doesn't have much difference. Microsoft names Satya Nadella as CEO

Lots of Changes happened in Microsoft as Bill Gates would step down as chairman of the board of Microsoft and its new CEO is Satya Nadella.

Bill Gates is now Founder and Technology Advisor and John W.Thomson is the new Chairman. Satya Nadella, An Indian born, Started his career as a member of the technology staff at Sun Microsystems. In 1992, he joined Microsoft and has became third CEO of Microsoft after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

Nadella, 46, was born in Hyderabad, India. Growing up, playing cricket was his “passion,” and he played it competitively as a member of his school’s team. “I think playing cricket taught me more about working in teams and leadership that has stayed with me throughout my career.”

Satya Nadella has wrote a lengthy mail to all Microsoft Employees telling them who is he, why are we here and what do we do next, Here's the lengthy mail below.

Today is a very humbling day for me. It reminds me of my very first day at Microsoft, 22 years ago. Like you, I had a choice about where to come to work. I came here because I believed Microsoft was the best company in the world. I saw then how clearly we empower people to do magical things with our creations and ultimately make the world a better place. I knew there was no better company to join if I wanted to make a difference. This is the very same inspiration that continues to drive me today.

It is an incredible honor for me to lead and serve this great company of ours. Steve and Bill have taken it from an idea to one of the greatest and most universally admired companies in the world. I’ve been fortunate to work closely with both Bill and Steve in my different roles at Microsoft, and as I step in as CEO, I’ve asked Bill to devote additional time to the company, focused on technology and products. I’m also looking forward to working with John Thompson as our new Chairman of the Board.

While we have seen great success, we are hungry to do more. Our industry does not respect tradition — it only respects innovation. This is a critical time for the industry and for Microsoft. As we start a new phase of our journey together, I wanted to share some background on myself and what inspires and motivates me.

Who am I?

I am 46. I’ve been married for 22 years and we have 3 kids. And like anyone else, a lot of what I do and how I think has been shaped by my family and my overall life experiences. Many who know me say I am also defined by my curiosity and thirst for learning. I buy more books than I can finish. I sign up for more online courses than I can complete. I fundamentally believe that if you are not learning new things, you stop doing great and useful things. So family, curiosity and hunger for knowledge all define me.

Why am I here?

I am here for the same reason I think most people join Microsoft — to change the world through technology that empowers people to do amazing things. I know it can sound hyperbolic — and yet it’s true. We have done it, we’re doing it today, and we are the team that will do it again.

I believe over the next decade computing will become even more ubiquitous and intelligence will become ambient. The coevolution of software and new hardware form factors will intermediate and digitize — many of the things we do and experience in business, life and our world. This will be made possible by an ever-growing network of connected devices, incredible computing capacity from the cloud, insights from big data, and intelligence from machine learning.

This is a software-powered world.

It will better connect us to our friends and families and help us see, express, and share our world in ways never before possible. It will enable businesses to engage customers in more meaningful ways.

I am here because we have unparalleled capability to make an impact.

Why are we here?

In our early history, our mission was about the PC on every desk and home, a goal we have mostly achieved in the developed world. Today we’re focused on a broader range of devices. While the deal is not yet complete, we will welcome to our family Nokia devices and services and the new mobile capabilities they bring us.

As we look forward, we must zero in on what Microsoft can uniquely contribute to the world. The opportunity ahead will require us to reimagine a lot of what we have done in the past for a mobile and cloud-first world, and do new things.

Qi Lu captured it well in a recent meeting when he said that Microsoft uniquely empowers people to “do more.” This doesn’t mean that we need to do more things, but that the work we do empowers the world to do more of what they care about — get stuff done, have fun, communicate and accomplish great things. This is the core of who we are, and driving this core value in all that we do — be it the cloud or device experiences — is why we are here.

What do we do next?

To paraphrase a quote from Oscar Wilde — we need to believe in the impossible and remove the improbable.

This starts with clarity of purpose and sense of mission that will lead us to imagine the impossible and deliver it. We need to prioritize innovation that is centered on our core value of empowering users and organizations to “do more.” We have picked a set of high-value activities as part of our One Microsoft strategy. And with every service and device launch going forward we need to bring more innovation to bear around these scenarios.

Next, every one of us needs to do our best work, lead and help drive cultural change. We sometimes underestimate what we each can do to make things happen and overestimate what others need to do to move us forward. We must change this.

Finally, I truly believe that each of us must find meaning in our work. The best work happens when you know that it’s not just work, but something that will improve other people’s lives. This is the opportunity that drives each of us at this company.

Many companies aspire to change the world. But very few have all the elements required: talent, resources, and perseverance. Microsoft has proven that it has all three in abundance. And as the new CEO, I can’t ask for a better foundation.

Moto G Release in India might be on Feb 5

Moto G the latest Android Phone released by Motorola, Google owned company has made a buzz all over the world, And getting ready to be released in India.

Pretty much disappointed with the fact, why India is being Ignored by smart phone companies till this time, when it comes in releasing the phone. And as Moto G is making headlines all over the world as being named as best budget phone, Most of the people in India were expecting this phone to be released in India sooner.

And Motorola Mobility in its twitter account has revealed the details about the launch of Moto G in India and it said, the launch details for India will be announced on February 5. So It Might be released after February 5 and this is purely my thought. Let's see how it goes and people in India have to wait for some more days as everyone were expecting it to be released by last week of January.

Drag Photos and Links Into your Facebook post

I was wondering some time back, when i am trying to upload an image to schedule a post in blog's Facebook page, was wondering it would be much more easier if there is an grag-drop option.

And to the surprise, Again when i trying to construct a Facebook post at blog's FB page - Technotipsblog found this option being introduced by Facebook and Yes, It seems like a Dream comes true. Dragging and Dropping a Link or Photo is much more easier compared to upload the image via dialog box and this feature enabled to simultaneously add more than one picture by just a drag and drop.

All Facebook page owners and all Facebook users would be happy about this feature and it's really interesting to see some new features being rolled out in Facebook to facilitate easy access and usage by all.

Cheap and Affordable Android Phone - Moto G is being shipped starting from December 2 in US, UK and Canada and Indian users can order it via eBay India.

For all those in Western Countries who have ordered Moto G last week would have got their pieces today but Indian Android fans who wait for this Phone should wait till January to get their hands on it as Motorola has planned to release it after a month.

But folks who like to get it now, can order it right now from eBay India.

Motorola's New Mobile - Moto G Released in US today for very Cheaper price tag of 179$ and 199$ and it's a biggest buzz currently among Android Users in US.

To say about Motorola, We never expect Motorola may come up with a pretty cheap Android Phone with amazing features and the only reason we can say is "Google" which acquired Motorola in 2011. And to Justify that Moto G has been a good revelation from Motorola and all you got to do is check for amazing features which you can expect in higher end mobiles in Moto G and "Just Buy it".

So you may ask what are the features? It comes with Stunning 4.5" HD display with Android 4.3 and a guaranteed upgrade to Android 4.4 Kitkat. All i can see here are the numbers 4.3, 4.4, 4.5. Seems to be pretty fancy. Also it's been most anticipated Phone and that's the reason it's been released pretty soon before Holidays in US as it was supposed to be released by January.

It's powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with quad core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor along with Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery and 5MP camera. Apart from these main features, Google is offering 50 GB cloud storage for two years.

So what about the price? As stated in Intro, It comes in two variants - 8 and 16 GB with 8 GB being sold for 179$ and 16 GB for 199$ (Plus Shipping and tax fee). Thats one hell of a piece you get for a very cheap price tag. And i Bet if it is released on the same price conversion ratio in India which is a growing Mobile market, Motorola gonna make a pretty good ride along with Samsung, Micromax and Nokia..
