I bought this because I loved the color! It doesn’t take pictures well with any type of noise back ground. They all seem to be blurry. It takes great pictures outside, but this camera is very sensitive to lighting indoors. I love the big screen to view pictures, but wish that it had easier viewing options. I also bought this camera in pink and orange for my sister and mom. They all have the same issues with their cameras as well. Overall it works just fine.

This camera is the WORST - T. Ehmcke - San Francisco
I cannot tell you how terribly disappointed I am in this camera, each and every time I load the photos in my computer. Yes, managing the settings is very easy and the thing is very cute and small so fits into any pocket. But what good is a camera with results that can’t be predicted? What good are the special settings if you know they will produce a blurry photo, all except the very brightest settings? When it was brand new, I got one nice landscape shot but portraits, parties, friends, special occasions, including my San Francisco debut, was ruined because of a very poor quality camera. Don’t waste your money on this one. Save a little more and spend it on a Canon or, better still, a good Nikon or Canon SLR. I cannot wait until I’ve saved my pennies enough to be able to buy a decent digital camera and dump this one.

I use Canon DSLR’s for my business but I always carry the fuji in my pocket when I am out and about and it has never disappointed me. It is a great camera

It has all the goods of a portable P&S, but the photo quality is bad with poor colors. Menu selection is not user-friendly either.

We have had many Kodak cameras in our extended family, so it was a natural for me to get one for myself. Read the reviews and decided that this is the one I wanted. Just the right size for easy carry. Simple to use and it works as advertised. I added a 2 gig memory card.

One problem to note are some system crashes on my laptop that are associated with the software. I assume that it will be fixed in an update or I will dig in and find the problem. I won’t blame Kodak because sometimes I just have too many things happening with my PC.

This is a great camera/printer combo for someone who is a casual photographer. Simple to use and get quick prints from your camera without having to send them in to get photos from a store. Bought five of them to give as gifts, and had to return one because the camera quit working. Would still recommend for the price.

I bought this camera in June to take with us on vacation. The camera I was pleased with, it took great pictures and was easy to use. The printer dock however I was not pleased with. I set it up as the instructions stated, first thing paper jam, fixed the problem and the cartridge was ruined. I bought another cartridge installed it and it too ripped after almost finishing one pictue.

I’ve had the Nikon Coolpix 4100 for about 2 years and I have to say that I love it. At this point I’m familiar with its many modes and have experimented with taking different kinds of pictures and different situations. It has turned me into an ansul adams! This is my first digital camera and I have never enjoyed taking pictures this much.

Two gripes: the LCD screen is small by today’s standards which makes it hard to see your picture. There is a noticeable lag between pictures, where you have to wait for the camera to ready itself before you can take the next picture. This isn’t always a problem unless you take a lot of pictures of subjects in motion.

not so great, even for everyday photos - Anna L. Breininger -
I’ve had this camera for quite some time and have never been able to get it working quite right. It’s only pro I’ve found so far is that it takes very nice outdoor photos. If you’re using inside, for action shots or for anything with straight edges you don’t want slightly warped, move on and find a different camera.
When using the flash, the lens is delayed so any indoor shot have to be of completely inanimate objects. No parties, no kids, no pets. If you’re not using the flash be prepared for the shot to be blurry, discoloured or grainy. I’ve also tried to use the camera to photograph some of my artwork and anything with square edges comes out slightly bowed in the photo.

If paying under .00, go ahead and get it… and know that you’re getting for a .00 camera.

Positives: it has a lot of features to alter the tint of the photos, has simple on-camera photo editing, red-eye reduction, good zoom, etc. All the very basic essentials you need. And a descent little working camera if you don’t pay to much.

Negatives: The flash is way to bright for most subjects and bleaches our the foreground easily (i had to tape a tissue over my flash), has a MAJOR tendency to be extremely blurry if you opt not to use the ridiculously bright flash, gives indoor (using flash) photos a plastic, shadow-less, unnatural look, has a Looonnggg delay after you press the shutter (you WILL miss most your shots by 2 seconds), you must hold it EXTREMELY steady on some settings to produce a half-way decent non-blurred picture, many of the settings don’t do what they claim (for example, the ‘fireworks’ setting has never got me decent photos of fireworks– they are always blurred, way too dark, and the shutter button delay causes you to miss the explosion every time).

Don’t buy this if youre looking for a nice aesthetic (tone, shadow, etc) to your shots or quick camera response. Do get it if you need something to mess around with or aren’t picky about picture quality. This would probably be a great gift for a child or young teen who would love his/her first digital camera– its simple to figure out, has the basic features, lots of settings to play with, and cheap.

Was a great camera for a few yrs. It ultimatly turned on in a bag and since the lense comes out its gears that operate the lense focus got messed up. It took great pics when it worked. I will by another canon powershot soon. 3.2 megapixels was barely enough for photos. Plenty for web only but not for print. I dont think you can even buy any new cameras with much under 5 megapixels now anyway. Bottom line Canon makes great cameras buy one you wont be disappointed.
