Eigen 2 is a C++ template library for linear algebra (vectors, matrices, and
related algorithms). It is:
* Versatile. Eigen handles both fixed-size and dynamic-size matrices and
vectors, without code duplication, and in a completely integrated way. It
aims to provide not only vectors and matrices but also many algorithms.
* Fast. Expression templates remove temporaries and enable lazy evaluation.
Explicit vectorization is performed for the SSE (2 and later) and AltiVec
instruction sets, with graceful fallback to non-vectorized code. With
fixed-size objects, dynamic memory allocation is avoided, and the loops
are unrolled when that makes sense. For large matrices, special attention
is paid to cache-friendliness. This Benchmark shows Eigen's outstanding
performance.
* Good API. Expression templates allow for a very clean and expressive API.
Implementing an algorithm on top of Eigen feels like just copying
  pseudocode.

The Mayavi project includes two related packages for 3-dimensional
    visualization:
        * Mayavi2: A tool for easy and interactive visualization of data.
        * TVTK: A Traits-based wrapper for the Visualization Toolkit, a popular
          open-source visualization library.

These libraries operate at different levels of abstraction. TVTK
manipulates visualization objects, while Mayavi2 lets you operate on your
data, and then see the results. Most users either use the Mayavi user
interface or program to its scripting interface; you probably don't need to
interact with TVTK unless you want to create a new Mayavi module.

Mayavi2 seeks to provide easy and interactive visualization of 3-D data.
    It offers:
        * An (optional) rich user interface with dialogs to interact with all
data and objects in the visualization.
        * A simple and clean scripting interface in Python, including one-
liners, or an object-oriented programming interface.
        * The power of the VTK toolkit, harnessed through these interfaces,
without forcing you to learn it.

Additionally Mayavi2 is a reusable tool that can be embedded in your
applications in different ways or combined with the Envisage application-
building framework to assemble domain-specific tools.

TVTK wraps VTK objects to provide a convenient, Pythonic API, while
supporting Traits attributes and NumPy/SciPy arrays. TVTK is implemented
mostly in pure Python, except for a small extension module.

Developers typically use TVTK to write Mayavi modules, and then use Mayavi
to interact with visualizations or create applications.

With fuse-zip you really can work with ZIP archives as real directories.
Unlike KIO or Gnome VFS, it can be used in any application without
        modifications.

Unlike other FUSE filesystems, only fuse-zip provides write support to ZIP
archives. Also, fuse-zip is faster that all known implementations on large
        archives with many files.

Ant is different. Instead of a model where it is extended with shell
based commands, it is extended using Java classes. Instead of writing
shell commands, the configuration files are XML based calling out a
target tree where various tasks get executed. Each task is run by an
object which implements a particular Task interface.

Granted, this removes some of the expressive power that is inherent by
being able to construct a shell command such as `find . -name foo
-exec rm {}` but it gives you the ability to be cross platform. To
work anywhere and everywhere. And hey, if you really need to execute a
shell command, Ant has an exec rule that allows different commands to
be executed based on the OS that it is executing on.

Unison shares a number of features with tools such as configuration

uni-directional mirroring utilities (rsync, etc.) and other synchronizers
(Intellisync, Reconcile, etc).

This package includes multiple versions of Unison: 2.9.1, 2.10.2,
2.13.16 and 2.27.57. The Aqua interface is only available for the
latter two.

Note: All variants can be installed simultaneously. This package uses the
update-alternatives system so that the command 'unison' automatically uses
the best-available UI for the highest-available version. Other versions
can be run using 'unison-[version]' or 'unison-[version]-[uitype]. Type
'ls %p/bin/unison*' and 'man update-alternatives' for more information.

Joe, the Joe's Own Editor, has the feel of most PC text editors: the key
sequences are reminiscent of WordStar and Turbo C editors, but the feature
set is much larger than of those. Joe has all of the features a Unix
user should expect: full use of termcap/terminfo, complete VI-style Unix
integration, a powerful configuration file, and regular expression search
system. It also has six help reference cards which are always available,
and an intuitive, simple, and well thought-out user interface.
.
Joe has a great screen update optimization algorithm, multiple windows
(through/between which you can scroll) and lacks the confusing notion of
named buffers. It has command history, TAB expansion in file selection
menus, undo and redo functions, (un)indenting and paragraph formatting,
filtering highlighted blocks through any external Unix command, editing
a pipe into or out of a command, and block move, copy, delete or filter.
.
Through simple QEdit-style configuration files, Joe can be set up to
emulate editors such as Pico and Emacs, along with a complete imitation
of WordStar, and a restricted mode version (lets you edit only the files
specified on the command line). Joe also has a deferred screen update to
handle typeahead, and it ensures that deferral is not bypassed by tty
buffering. It's usable even at 2400 baud, and it will work on any
kind of sane terminal.

libtool-2.2 is a major change from libtool-1.5. On darwin shared
libraries built with this version will have only one symlink
libfoo.dylib -> libfoo.2.dylib, not two links like on branch-1-5.
There are many many major changes in this version, and very likely
some bugs, please let me know if you come across any.
