Hi! It's been too long... but I'm back on here with an update on my ETSY SHOP. I've just added some Breast Cancer Awareness cards in hopes of raising some money for the Weekend to End Women's Cancers coming up in Montreal this August. I donate all profits from the sale of my breast cancer awareness cards to this event in an effort to support my friend who has "walked the walk" for three consecutive years now!! I lost a very special Aunt to cancer only a week ago, so this has really touched home with me this year.

Spread the word!! There may be a walk in your own city as well...and if not, there are many ways to help raise awareness, and help fund research to find a cure!

Remember, it's everyone's fight!

Sweet little Geisha Note Cards

I love making sets of mini note cards. I picked up this stamp recently at my local scrapbook store; I thought she was just so sweet, this mini geisha girl. I used some lovely DCWV mat stack card stock that I've had for a while (kind of hoarding it I guess). It's called FAR EAST and seemed to fit perfectly with this image! I love the subtle shifts in color and pattern it has in each piece of paper, making each note card more unique.

BUTTONS buttons buttons, I love buttons!

I've made these ones from chipboard, a punch,decorative papers, varnish, and a crop a dile! I love using buttons on my projects, and I like the idea of creating my own to match the project I'm working on. I think I will offer a selection of these in my ETSY SHOP. Hmmm, now what colors should I work on next?

Paper Pack Kits

I found these gorgeous papers by DCWV at my local scrapbook store not long ago, called Garden Party. Most of them are glittered and so pretty!!

I just love paper packs and kits. They make creating a quick project so simple, don't you think? Especially if you are easily inspired by papers, like I am! I thought I'd use some of these lovely papers to bundle up with a few accessories to create some pretty paper packs for you. The embellies are coordinated with the papers, so it's a snap to get a cohesive look for your scrapbook pages, or cards or any other project you might have in mind. Keeping things simple and easy is how I work these days. When I get inspired i just want to run with it! I'm a busy mom of two busy boys, so time is of the essence, you know what I mean?

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a good weekend! Today was the first really hot day of the summer here in Montreal!! It's about time!! We had an outdoor party to attend (my babysitter's sweet 16) and it could not have been a better day for it! The boys swam in the pool, and we lounged in the sun. It was a lovely day

Just a short post today to let you know that I'm introducing the LOONIE BIN to my Etsy Shop. What's a loonie bin? Well, we Canadians call our $1.oo coins loonies! We all want a great deal, especially in times of recession, right? So, I've decided to offer a selection of my greeting cards for only $1.oo!! These cards will be clean and simple, with vibrant colors and varied sentiments. I will be adding a variety of cards to the LOONIE BIN soon, so have a look and check back often! Chairs For You!

I put this new set of 3"x 3" note cards in my shop yesterday. I'm in luv with images of chairs! Aren't these chairs from Flourishes the cutest? They are hand stamped in a rich cocoa ink on whisper white card stock, with a mat layer of soft pink. Clean and simple. What do you think?

Would you like to promote your Etsy shop or blog? Finding ways to get your brand name noticed is not always easy and I find advertising is not an affordable avenue for all of us.

One way that I have found to promote my shop is to sponsor challenge blogs. There are many out there! Have you heard of them? Sure you have! How do I know it's a good way to promote your shops? Well, every time you find a new place on the net to leave a link to your shop, you are opening a through way for traffic, and traffic is good for sales! You are also targeting other artisans that know and appreciate the work that goes into your handmade items! These are often the people that are interested in buying handmade!

Crafty Creations Challenge blog invites artisans every week to join in a new challenge to push their own limits, and to explore new ideas by stretching their creativity. It is a fast growing challenge spot with a great team behind it! :) Yes, lol, I am on the team! I enjoy designing for and participating in the challenges. Most crafters join in the challenges because they are creative and passionate about their art, but, as we all enjoy finding a pot at the end of the rainbow, we like to offer some goodies to the weekly winner. That's where the sponsors come in! Offering a small handmade item or craft supplies from your shop not only showcases your work and promotes your shop, but you also benefit long term from the link to your shop that the blog will keep on their site.

So what do you think? Crafty Creations Challenge blog is certainly not the only challenge blog on the net that you can sponsor, so start poking around the challenge spots for yourself! Some may be more suitable to showcase your work over others, and you may enjoy entering the challenges too. Of course, I'd love it if we (CCC) were to be your launching post to your promotional adventures!!

Thought I would show you this bright little birthday card I made today...a cheerful sort of card for a dreary rainy day here in Montreal.

I used the sketch from this week's birthday challenge on Rosie-Dee's blog. I made the ribbon flower embellishment, so I am also entering this into the Creative Card Crew Challenge to use ribbon.

I've also been busy trying to keep the boys from getting too bored. We made an UP adventure booklet with badges that I downloaded from disney.go.com today which they enjoyed and will now be busy trying to earn their badges.
