Phase 3 is now live

This week we've launched phase 3 of the site with changes to the home page and some design tweaks.

The dedicated product directory page has been removed and instead there's a new section right on the home page with recently updated, highest rated and popular tags for both software and hardware. There's also a new Recent Activity section where comments, reviews and new fans of products will show up. The Recent Tweets section now fades in rather than typing on letter by letter, which is hopefully easier on the eyes!

What do you think of FinalCutters?

Well time certainly does fly. FinalCutters has now been launched for over a year and we're planning to make some changes to the home page and add new features. But before we get carried away...we'd like to find out what you think of the site as it is and how it should move forward.

We have set up a brief survey which should only take a few minutes and we'd very much appreciate any feedback you can offer. To take the survey just click the link over on the left of the page.

Thanks for your time and we look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Introducing the Rig of the Day Gallendar

Having recently made all previous Rig of the Day photos available to view individually, we thought the next logical step was to allow you to see them all at once. So we've come up with something a little different.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to bring you the Gallendar. "The what?" we hear you say. Sorry but as a cross between an image gallery and a calendar it was a temptation we just couldn't resist.

To view the new Rig of the Day Gallendar click on the 'All' link above any individual Rig of the Day photo or the 'View All' link above the photo on the homepage.

Previously published rigs are now viewable

We just added a new and much requested feature to the FinalCutters site.

If you click on the Rig of the Day photo on the home page then you'll now see Previous and Next links above the individual rig photo. These will take you through previously published photos, so if you missed a day there's no need to worry!

Comments on Rigs

It's now been just over a week since the launch of the FinalCutters site and we've been bowled over by the fantastic response. Over 150 rig photos have been submitted so far and there's still plenty of time to get yours in before the prize draw closes on 15th May.

We also have a new feature - it's now possible to post comments on the Rig of the Day photos. If you don't already have a user account, you'll need to create one to post a comment.
