Customer Review: Certainly much more of what we've come to expect from Charlaine Harris. Mystery, excitement, betrayal, and bonds that should or shouldn't be broken. Although Sookie Stackhouse seems to have lost her naivity to the supernatural world, which I found to be one of her endearing traits, she showed a little of her vulnerability that was loved in the first few volumes of the series. Certainly a "page turner" of a book that I could not put down. The reintroduction of Barry Bellboy working with Sookie and continued torment of Sookie's "love" for both Eric and Quinn will certainly make for a intriguing sequel.

Customer Review: I had read of Nalini Singh's work but hadn't tried any of her books before. I decided to buy her work because I really like the fact that she's from the Pacific or Oceania. My choice settled on this particular book because the excerpt seemed to promise a challenging and feisty resolution between the heroine and hero. Disappointing. At times, I found the heroine irritating and unreasonably stupid in the guise of being "tough." I read this book in one "go" and so skim-read a lot of the conflict / interactions concerning the Psy Council and the changelings. I plan to read another couple of books in the hope that I will like both hero and heroine better.

Customer Review: This is certainly the saddest and most nostalgic Agatha Christie novel. It also has one of the most surprising endings. In his last case before his eventual death, Poirot is on the track of an "indirect" murderer, X, who has acted as a catalyst in several murders. As usual, Poirot kept his thoughts to himself, refusing to satisfy Hastings' curiosity (and the readers' curiosity at the same time). With romance aplenty on top of an "accidental" shooting, a planned murder that never materialises, two murders and finally Poirot's own death, the reader will not be disappointed and will be puzzled till the end although I'm sure all fans of Poirot will feel a great sadness when he finally dies. Poirot is certainly the greatest fictional detective ever created, being the only fictional character ever to have an orbituary on the first page of the New York Times! Read the Biography section by Charles Osborne at the back of the e-book for an excerpt of the orbituary. For this reason, it's worth getting the e-book instead of the physcial book which does not contain the excerpt. Fans of Poirot certainly should not miss this one.

Customer Review: I have read almost all of the Lisa Kleypas novels. The contemporaries are my favorite, but of all the historicals this book has been my favorite thus far. McKenna was the most passionate character. It was all or nothing with him and the way he displays his emotions was inspiring. I read it not once but twice. Great read...
