Hello! my hosiery fans! I continually had a special thing for Italian tights for the way they look and the amount of comfort they give me. I am wearing a long, blue dress to my hubby's company Christmas party tonight (it is semi-formal). I am also wearing strappy, open-toed shoes. I will also give myself a pedicure and I'm going to wear sheer tan hose as hubby thinks I shouldn't go for stockings and garter belt. I simply want to be able to show off my shoes! But as always it is always a problem trying to find the right coordination of clothes and colors to match with the outfit.

For those like me who haven't attended very many upscale events I would go with an evening dress and open toe shoes, and a pair of pantyhose I feel all the pantyhose etiquette is indeed confusing, because I've read and seen lots of contradicting stuff. I mean, yeah, not only pantyhose but for example garter belt and stockings can be ok for this kind of event.

Pantyhose are acceptable, but I would suggest in favor of stockings and a garter belt…which can be very elegant, very sexy, with none of the "sexy factor" that some persons seem to associate with them.

If its a short cocktail dress, you might do better with wearing a pair of tights. But then you could go with pantyhose that don't make you look to grandma like and very many designers are pairing tights/leggings/colored pantyhose with short/mid length dresses.

Closed toe shoes would be the best for this kind of event for some, but if you are not trying to impress anyone, you could wear open toed shoe with pantyhose just not with a reinforced toe. Hanes for instance, makes a toeless pantyhose. The rule of thumb is: just be comfortable in what you do.

And as long as you get the sheer toe and heel stockings you will look absolutely perfect. You will find that stockings that need a garter belt are nearly always more sheer and sensual than any pantyhose or thigh high stockings you can find. That's since they don't need all that heavy Lycra in them to hold them up, the garter belt does that. I wear them to work much of the time, and they are very classic looking, plus powerfully eye catching if you let anyone see the tops.

Last but not least, NEVER wear shoes a lighter shade than (the bottom of) your hemline unless you are going to the mart or something. I found this out in a personal image class I attended some years ago. If you have a multicolored skirt, go with the darkest color or brown or navy or blackhosiery, whichever would go with it that you enjoy. Simply avoid any breaks in it: black shoes, suntan knee highs and black skirt is not very fashionable. Probably best would be to wear black tights. Pantyhose in unnatural colors is out in this kind of event.

If you are wearing matching red on the bottom and happen to have found matching red shoes (lucky you to find a match!) then you can go with nude. Keep the total number of colors in your clothing down to 2 at most. These are the rules of business attire at it's most stripped down that I learned.

There is nothing more fabulous than seeing a woman in nice dress together with stockings and high heels. When I wear heels I relentlessly wear stockings but then when I wear flats i prefer not to wear stockings but pantyhose.

Hose does wonders for woman with their legs whether they are dark colored or pale skin and also adds a classy touch. What Kind of Skirt and Pantyhose to Wear

This is something many women are debating about, especially during the holiday season. I often like wearing a pleated skirt and black pantyhose, but you can't do that all the time. I do sometimes accidentally display something, if that comes to happen I would rather be wearing sheer or control top pantyhose.

When choosing what to wear with a skirt and pantyhose, it is often a problem of what and what not to make obvious. I usually go with the sheer. They offer more comfort and they can be sexy. I do know how men (and women) notice these things when you are either bending over, doesn't have her legs crossed when sitting down, or sometimes just have your panties and tights pulled up too high where it is visible. If your skirt is at least at knee length, it may not be as visible to see compared to if your skirt is shorter, but I know that most often when sitting down, my skirt does tend to ride up.

The combination of a skirt and pantyhose are infinite. I for instance like to wear skirts with white pantyhose. My skirts are all dark and preppy. Wearing white pantyhose with a dark preppy skirt is alright as long as the pantyhose are not too opaque or too bright white. White pantyhose are not a preferred look with dark colored skirts. It also depends on your complexion.

I Just got back from a weekend at my in law's taking a walk in the city and even if there were not that many of us wearing a skirt and pantyhose, there were a lot of women wearing either opaque hosiery or tights. I personally like stockings with a mini skirt, but it in fact depends on where you're going, like for instance if you're hanging out with friends or at work; in the latter case things start to change.

I denote that it is convenient to wear knee high skirt and pantyhose with control top when you are at work or at a formal meeting as the panty portion is thicker and will hide what ever undies you wear. In spring/summer, wear sheer pantyhose in colors that matches your skin tone. Nude or suntan colors are nice. In fall or winter, you can go for thicker hose (opaque hose), to give you added warmth.

At Church wearing a skirt and pantyhose could be ok, it all depends on how conservative your church is, but in almost all cases, you should be fine. I just wouldn't go too far past mid-thigh, and be sure the top is suitable as well. An suitable top for church should have sleeves and not be too low-cut. Shirts or dresses with straps instead of sleeves are acceptable in very many churches (and numerous bridesmaids dresses are now strapless), but if you are not sure about the particular church, it is a safe bet to keep your shoulders covered as much as possible.

In eastern Europe women prefer to wear a skirt and pantyhose all the time. As a result, if you're going to wear a skirt and pantyhose its up to you to decide which color and brand to choose from. Only wear black hose under a mini in the wintertime or when it's cold.

The Problem of Hold Up Stockings falling down

Sometimes you're faced with an embarrassing problem: You're not sure if its your thighs or what but you cant find any hold up stockings that don't gradually roll down when you walk. Its in actual fact annoying having to keep pulling them back up a bit every hour or therefore with no one noticing.

When wearing hold up stockings with elastic tops you may quickly end up with one stocking down at your ankle, if not both at the same time. On the other hand, silicone bands, definitely, stay up all day as long as you don't get cream or something on them and are more comfortable than elastic. Sometimes though,even the thigh high stockings with silicone bands tend to slip down.

You have to make sure they have the elastic band of the hold up stockings in the internal. I believe it also has to do with the size of your thighs. If you don't purchase the right size of stockings they can be too tight which will get them to roll down and if they are too big they can roll down also. I relentlessly have to use garters with any of my stockings. The question could be: Are you getting the right size? If you are too tall for them you need to move up a size or two.

But then you could use a little breast tape to help stick on the hold up stockings. You could also purchase smaller stockings than what you currently get could be a little big or try pulling them up a little higher up your leg and see if that helps. The ideal thing in the world would be DOUBLE SIDED TAPE!! its amazing!!! trust me and its in fact cheap too.

I usually wear Aristoc hold up stockings and have never had any issues with them rolling down. make sure that your legs haven't got any creams or lotions on when you put your hold ups on, because so the latex doesn't stick to your thigh.

Also try DKNY/Donna Karan hold-up stockings. I find they stay up with no problems at all; you might need to try a size larger than normal in any stockings you get. My top advice? find a standard underwear shop, and ask them for LaPerla hold ups. They are gorgeous! My friend Cassie won't wear anything but LaPerla - their thigh highs are like charmed.

I recently wore a pair of black Aristoc Ultra Shine 10 denier at the restaurant with friends. My best friend wore a lovely satin pink and black lace group from anne summers for her boyfriends birthday last night, . He must have had the most idyllic and breathtaking birthday yet!

This evening, I will be wearing taupe hold-up stockings by Leggs. I am going to a movie with my hubby and consequently we are going to go dancing at a local club for a few hours. When I wear wear hold up stockings I always think a bit naughty!

The Convenience of Wearing Suspender Pantyhose

I know that nowadays a lot of women and my friends also have confessed to wearing suspender pantyhose as they are very practical in today's society. I recently bought more than a few pairs of this hosiery to see if they were "really"practical as they claim, and I found them convenient in a number of women's issues.

This may sound a little ungraceful but they are "panty"-hose. No other underwear is required with them. They are not to be confused with common stockings which do not have panties built in. If you have to wear panties relentlessly put them on last! that way it is easy to use the bathroom and easy to change to fresh pair without having to take off the suspender pantyhose. Whenever I have worn suspender pantyhose, I have worn the panties more than them or no panties at all (depending on the length of the dress).

If it's in actuality warm outside, I generally wear just the suspender pantyhose. My occupation requires me to wear pantyhose (or stockings) each day. As long as my legs are covered in nylon, that's all that matters to me.

But suspender pantyhose is not for everyone. My cousin Michelle got them as a gift once but she didn't like them. She said they're pretty much pantyhose with the high waistband and all, and you have to pull them way up high to keep them from bagging. The nylon is cheap and rough and stretchy, and you can't adjust the tops them up to keep them tight. She prefers her adjustable garter belts, much easier to wear with lo-rider skirts and minis.

I on my part, rather like ultra sheer stockings and the satin garter belts with adjustable straps, as a result I can pull the stockings way up high therefore I can wear them with my mini's. Real stockings are way silkier too.

Those women who are interested in suspender pantyhose for a special night out, can try ann summers I had quite a lot of from there ages ago also type in sexy underwear on the internet and it comes up with loads of websites that do them and alternative wonderful stuff too.

They are made in France and England, and the issue is that most have reinforced toes and heels which is great for boots and closed pumps, but impossible with open toes and sandals.

The 100% ultra sheer nylon stockings have to be worn with garters considering they have no stretch, they are especially delicate, and really slippery .They are extremely sexy for that reason I wear them for notably special occasions, and very many times never take them off until they're torn to shreds. They are sincerely delicate, but it is so much fun ruining them, its worth the extra cost. You can purchase them on the Internet quite easily too.

The truth of the fact is, the more sheer the stocking the sleeker it will look and feel. regular stockings are thicker and more opaque. I must warn you, even if these are the sheerest, and the most awesome stockings you will ever wear, they self destruct very easily. Tell your boy friend or spouse to put them on his credit card because they are quite pricey.
