I have loved fairies ever since I was a little girl, they have always had a magical place in my heart. Fairies will never get old or go out of style, their beauty seems to be eternal! As a kid, I always deeply wished they were real, and could always somehow just barely convince myself of the logic: how could all of these different cultures and story sources describe fairies in such a similar way? It “must” be because there were real fairies at some point in history! Evidently I’m not the only one to think that – surprisingly, there are some “real-life” sources for fairy folklore, including many legends of a lost race of beings that might not have been human, or at least normal human beings by the standards set forth hundreds of years ago. An example would be the African pygmies.

Here are all of our fairy coloring page collections all in one place, which my daughter wants to color over and over again. The butterfly and flower fairy collections are more intricate and detailed, and better for older children. The wings and dresses of the fairies on these pages are – you guessed it, butterfly wings and flower petals. The cute, pixie and Tinkerbell collections have several options with simpler shapes that will be more suitable for younger children to color. And by the way, I drew up the Tink coloring pages myself, and there are several of the other Disney fairy characters (Irridessa, Rosetta and Silvermist) – so you’ll only find those on the Woo! Jr. Network.

Printable Snowflake Winter Birthday Party Decorations

January is a month that needs far more excitement than it can generate on its own. It’s actually my least favorite month of the year! So if I had a little girl with a winter birthday, I’d totally glam it up and go all out – there’s just not much else to do these days! (Except for cleaning and organizing per my New Years resolution – but who wants to do that?!) These winter party printables could be used for other parties besides birthdays – just use the snowflake versions instead of the birthday lettering versions. They include our standard four uses found in all of our free printable party decoration kits – cupcake toppers, water bottle wrappers, mini candy bar wrappers, and thank you tags for your goody bags.

Cute Owl Birthday Printable Party Decorations

I’ve been looking forward to posting this set of our newest printable party decorations – because I have a total ‘thing’ for owls! As it is with all of our party decoration kits, this set includes cupcake toppers, water bottle wrappers, thank you tags and mini candy bar wrappers. Simply click on the thumbnails below, print out the pages, cut them out, and use either tape or a glue stick to attach them to your items! You can also easily attach the thank you tags to goody bags by using a hole punch in the corner and tying it on with a coordinating string or ribbon.

“Dia de los Muertos” Day of the Dead Party Printables

Halloween is just around the corner… but just around the next corner is the Day of the Dead! Día de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1 in which families and friends gather in a day of remembering loved ones who have passed away. The day is celebrated in different ways in different parts of the country, but there are a few things that many celebrations share – mostly festivals, parades, and honoring the dead with beautifully decorated sugar skulls and marigold flowers.

We’ve created a cute set of party printables for you to celebrate Dia de los Muertos in a simpler way – cupcake toppers, water bottle wrappers, mini candy bar wrappers and thank you tags decorated with a wonderful skull , AKA a calavera. Pumpkin Stencils for Halloween

Our Disney pumpkin stencils and our scary pumpkin stencils have been a big hit in the past, so we’ve created 6 12 more original pumpkin stencils found only on Fantasy Jr.! These pumpkin stencils are a little more silly and fun, and are also making it very difficult for me to choose what to carve this year on our own pumpkin!

Easy and Medium Difficulty Pumpkin Stencils

Make these pumpkins last by carving them into artificial pumpkins!

How to Transfer Stencils to Your Pumpkin

Make sure you choose a stencil that matches the overall shape of your pumpkin. Choose taller carving designs for tall pumpkins, wider carving designs for short and fat pumpkins.

Print out the pumpkin stencils and make sure they will fit. If it is too small or too large, use your browser’s “Print Preview” setting and experiment with printing out the stencils at different percentage scale sizess.

Temporarily tape the stencil to your pumpkin, then use the tip of a nail to outline the black areas by poking holes through the paper into the skin of the pumpkin. Remove the paper and you have the outline of the stencil left on the pumpkin to carve. If you are old enough to use a razor blade, this is also a good way to transfer the design – just know that the razor won’t cut all the way through. This is just for transferring the design to the pumpkin surface.

Use a very sharp knife to cut out the black areas along the lines you transferred. Using a narrow, serrated, strong knife really does make pumpkin carving a ton easier.

Halloween Bingo Cards

I’ve been wanting to make a set of Halloween bingo cards for over a year. I’m so excited to finally put this post up today! I know the room moms at my kids’ school will be using this for their Halloween classroom parties, and I’m probably going to bring a set to my friend’s Halloween party so that the kids can keep themselves entertained.

There are a dozen bingo cards along with calling cards – use mini pieces of candy for your bingo markers!

2012 Election Pumpkin Carving: President Obama and Governor Romney

I must admit that I get a little passionate about politics. So this year during the 2012 election, I thought it might be a popular idea to carve some pumpkins in support of the candidate I will be voting for. Who is that, you may ask? I’m not tellin’.

I think it is very patriotic and important to vote and support the candidate we feel is best for our country, and I think our children should have every opportunity to learn about the process that makes our country so great! So no matter who you are voting for, please VOTE – and carve a Halloween pumpkin in support of your choice and display it proudly along with the yard signs that are appearing everywhere at this point!

FYI – there is no difference between the black and white and color face stencils, except for the fact that the black and white ones are a bit larger. Since the light and shadows in these portraits are shown in reverse, it is a little difficult to tell what they will look like when finished unless you can see them in action on a pumpkin – hence, we’ve posted both. You can choose whichever one you find will be easier to work with – they will look the same when completed!
