Customer Review: If I have any criticism to make, it is that the action is so fast and relentless, that it can be a bit overwhelming. Nevertheless, the author's sense of humour shows through as in all her books and I loved reading this book, it's just a bit confusing to move from location to location, and time to time so quickly.

Customer Review: I can't wait for the story of Mercedes and Adam to continue! In this book Mercedes is still recovering from her attack. As strange as it sounds, following her through the process has helped me get that much closer to closure from my own assault. Mercedes isn't perfect, but she does at least have the best interests of "her" people at heart. It is definitely not a book in the series that you can pick up and understand if you haven't read all the previous ones. This one seems to help tie up many of the loose strings from previous books. Now if we just get to see what happens with Samuel.

Customer Review: ...all she wants is to go back to her normal life as a seeker with ok magical ability, but her bond with the Saghred changes everything. Her powers have grown exponentially but she tries to do everything without help from the Saghred. She uses her abilities to help with the investigation of the kidnapped spellsingers and Piaras is a big target because of his overwhelming abilities. It was a fun read and I highly recommend it - my only problem with this book is that there isnt much progress with her relationships with Mychael and Tam, [both of whom I am quite fond of - esp. Mychael as he's such a good guy and too often they finish last!].

Customer Review: I loved the passion and suspense that Laurell creates. Her heroine Mari is always up for the challenges that face her in this series, and this book is not a let down in any way. Frosts character is so much more developed in this book than in the previous books.
