A superb performance by Stockton Town as they encountered Darlington Allstars B for the first time. The visitors were quick off the mark dominating possession in the early stages and it was only a matter of time before Stockton took the lead. Lewis French went on a rampaging run down the right hand side and squared to Conner Rennison who in turn laid back to Alex Greenhough. Greenhough slammed it home for his second left footed goal in successive matches.

The away team were passing the ball around well on a difficult pitch and Rennison added his teams second with a fine finish at the near post He was on the spot again moments later and made no mistake by smashing it past the keeper. Hugo Abrol was spraying the ball around brilliantly from centre midfield and he set up French for his first of the game. French ran onto a fine pass and fired it just inside the post from a tight angle. Rennison, who seemed to be everywhere capped off a magnificent first half display by clinching his hat trick just before the break. Moving into space he controlled another great ball from Greenhough and hammered it into the roof of the net for a 5-0 half time lead.

Darlington fought back at the start of the second half trying to close the ball down quickly but there was no way past Ruddock and Reney at the back who were tackling fiercely and feeding the midfielders with some lovely passes. Greenhough made it six when he again cut in from the left and drilled a right foot shot past the despairing keeper.

The home team appeared to be a bit shell shocked and things didn't improve for them when Pierre Cerisier and Adam Dovaston made their appearances. Cerisier was making some great runs down the left hand side and it was only some frantic defending that prevented another goal as he slid the ball across the edge of the box. Dovaston was unlucky to get on the score sheet himself when he drove forward and rocketed a shot just over the bar. It was French though who snatched his second of the game latching onto a ball from Cerisier and sliding it underneath the advancing keeper. 7-0 was the final score which was well deserved with a commanding display from Stockton.

Stockton came up against Mount Pleasant for the first time in this second round League Cup fixture. The home team were clearly up for the game and closed Stockton down quickly from the kick off with the midfielders and forwards working hard. The Visitors were not getting into their rhythm and the early stages of the first half were a bit scrappy with few clear chances. It was Stockton who struck first though with a fine move started by Hugo Abrol in defence and played out to Pierre Cerisier who took on his man and squared it to Adam Dovaston. Dovaston controlled well and smashed it past the keeper to make it 1-0.

A rare lapse in defence saw Mount Pleasant equalise a short time later and this was followed by a nervy few minutes where Stockton were sloppy in possession and couldn't seem to get a grip on the game. Any chances created were dealt with calmly by the home keeper who was superb all morning. As the half time break approached, Lewis French received the ball and prodded it through for Cameron Wrench to chase. Wrench reacted quickly and slotted the ball past the oncoming keeper to give Stockton the half time lead.

The second half saw Stockton playing more fluid football and it was Dovaston who extended the lead following some more great work by Cerisier. Wrench made it 4-1 a short time later with another cool finish. A triple substitution of Greenhough, Rennison and Reney gave Stockton some extra enthusiasm and the newcomers combined brilliantly to close out the game. Reney won a great tackle on the left touchline and fed Rennison down the wing. Rennison took one touch and fired a superb pass into the penalty area to Greenhough. The ball was played in at pace but Greenhough killed it with his first touch and drove it left footed into the corner of the net. Dovaston was denied his hat trick moments later when his right foot strike flew just past the post. Mount Pleasant kept fighting but any chances were pounced upon by Phil Greenbank in the Stockton goal who distributed the ball well throughout and the score at the final whistle was 5-1.

The new look Stockton Town Yellows Under 10's were faced with a strong swirling breeze for their first league fixture of the season. The difficult conditions resulted in a scrappy start with both teams struggling to get the ball under control and neither side managed to capitalise on a couple of half chances. As the half wore on Stockton began to see more possession and some neat interlinking play between Alex Greenhough and Hugo Abrol led to the first goal. The Seaton defence failed to get the ball clear after a clever exchange on the edge of the box and it was Conner Rennison who reacted first to drive the loose ball into the corner of the net.

Stockton started the second half with the wind behind them and Lewis French was causing all sorts of problems down the right hand side with some great runs and crosses. It was French who added the second with a magnificent goal shortly after the break. Controlling a fine pass from Abrol just outside the box, he moved the ball from under his feet and hit a fantastic shot past the keeper into the top corner. Seaton were battling hard to get back into the match but they were meeting strong resistence with Adam Dovaston and Conor Reney putting in some strong challenges and distributing well. It was Reney's defensive partner, Sam Ruddock who created the third with a driving run from the back. As the visiting backline came to close him down he threaded the ball through for French to bag his second of the game with a neat finish .

Pierre Cerisier replaced Rennison midway through the second half and made an impressive start in his first game for Stockton. The home side continued to press hard but there were no further goals and the game finished 3-0.

A Tristar Homes tenant has been jailed for 28 days after regularly breaching an injunction to curb his anti-social behaviour.

Derek Johnson, 76, of Rosslare Road, Roseworth, had been accused of drunken behaviour, use of foul language, threats against a neighbour and general noise disturbance. It was also alleged he verbally abused Police and Tristar Homes Anti- Social Behaviour Reduction Officers.

Initially at Middlesbrough Combined Court, a Judge granted an anti-social behaviour injunction for 12 months.

In spite of the order, it was alleged Mr Johnson breached the injunction several times by shouting and swearing. He re-appeared before Court where he denied the breaches.

Following a full hearing, the Court found that Mr Johnson had breached the injunction and imposed a 28 day suspended prison sentence.

Mr Johnson again caused a disturbance by shouting and swearing and appeared at the Court, where he admitted the breaches. As a result, the suspended sentence was re-invoked and he was jailed for 28 days.

Paul Noddings, Housing Operations Manager for Tristar Homes, said: "The sentence sends out a clear message that both the courts and social housing providers will not tolerate repeated acts of anti-social behaviour.

"Activities that affect the peace and quiet of our communities are not acceptable and we will take whatever action is appropriate to deter people from engaging in anti-social behaviour."

Tristar Homes now is considering taking further legal action by starting eviction proceedings against Mr Johnson.

In December 10,250 homes were transferred from Stockton Borough Council to Tristar Homes, a newly created housing association with the power and resources to invest in large scale home improvements throughout the Borough.
The authority for the transfer has been granted following a ballot of all tenants in summer 2010, in which 89% approved the proposal.
Tristar Homes which has been the Council's arms length management organisation since 2002, now has the ability to unlock £140 million for an investment programme which will upgrade properties, improve the lives of tenants, and invest in homes for future generations.
Tristar Homes is part of Vela Group, which began operating on December 13 2010 and also embraces Housing Hartlepool.
Tristar Homes and the Mayor of Stockton teamed up to help residents clean up the area around their homes.

The clear-up took place in and around Staindale Gardens flats after Tristar conducted an estate walkabout to ask residents how they would like to improve their living environment.

Councillor Paul Baker, Mayor of Stockton, joined residents, Tristar Homes, Shaw Trust and Community Payback staff, along with Stockton Council's 'Care for Your Area' team, to dig out weeds, pick up litter and give the area a makeover.

The council's team also planted winter flowering plants, donated by Shaw Trust, on the estate which is managed by Tristar Homes.

Grahame French, Neighbourhood Manager at Tristar said: "Our staff, partners and residents were honoured that the Mayor joined the team to help with the clean up. Bringing people together is very much at the core of what we do as an organisation, to ensure our residents' environments are well-maintained."

Councillor Baker said: "The idea came after Tristar staff met with residents and discussed their ideas. The community spirit shown on the day was inspiring. It demonstrates that Tristar Homes supports residents' interests to help them take pride in where they live."

Stockon hosted St Francis on a pitch in reasonably good condition despite the recent heavy rain.

The game was very competitive with both sides fighting for every ball but Stockton started the stronger. After 5 minutes Isaac Fletcher hit a fierce shot from outside the box which the keeper failed to hold. Harry Healy reacted first to prod the ball home and put the home team 1-0 up

Healy was looking sharp and causing lots of problems to the visitors defence and it was no surprise that he grabbed his second a few minutes later. Receiving the ball and turning at the same time he evaded his marker and drilled the ball into the corner of the net. St Francis continued to press forwards and their persistence resulted in a clear chance which the striker fired wide. Healy was on fire though and sealed a first half hat trick with another clinical finish putting the game out of reach.

Stockton continued to pass the ball well in the second half with Fletcher and Green having a lot of possession in midfield. Ruddock and French were dependable as ever in defence allowing the away team few opportunities. Shortly after the break, Fletcher turned superbly on the half way line and headed towards goal. A clever exchange of passes and a cool finish put Town 4-0 ahead. More chances were coming the home team's way and Green made it 5 with a powerful drive from inside the box. Healy grabbed his 4th of the game with another neat strike moments later and and an unfortunate own goal from Green's cross resulted in a 7-0 victory.

Another solid performance from Stockton against a resilient St Francis who did not deserve the final scoreline.

Stockton visited Newton Aycliffe for the second time this season in the Challenge Cup Quarter Final. The away team started strongly creating a number of chances and the midfield trio of Greenhough, Green and Gowan were controlling most of the posession. A typically flowing move saw Gowan break down the right and whip a vicious cross into the centre It was Harry Green who rose first and his powerful header found the corner of the net. Despite further chances for Stockton, the Newton Aycliffe Keeper was in fine form and 1-0 remained the score at half time.

The Visitors brought on midfielder Isaac Fletcher at the break for defender Sam Ruddock. The influential Fletcher had missed the last couple of games through injury and made his presence felt immediately with some powerful attacking runs. Stockton were now surging forward with increasing regularity and Harry Healy was looking sharp in the opponents box but they still couldn't find a way past the impressive home keeper. The pressure had to tell and it was Healy that made it 2-0 with a clinical finish that was well deserved. Shortly after Greenhough put the game beyond reach with a great strike to make it 3-0.

Stockton weren't finished however and Green grabbed his second of the game after a fine move involving Greenhough and Conner Rennison. There was still time for a finale and it was Healy who capped off a fine performance with his second and stockton's fifth. Collecting the ball on the edge of the box he turned his defender superbly and hit a stinging shot just inside the post. An impressive overall performance from Stockton to book their place in the Semi Final.

Despite a cold, wet morning, Stockton Town encountered an excellent playing surface on their first trip to Billingham Rangers.

The visitors started strongly having the lions share of the posession however they were unable to deliver a quality final ball and did not manage to create many clear cut chances. Billingham were working hard, attacking down the right hand side but Hugo Abrol kept the home team at bay with some strong tackling and good distribution. Stockton continued to push forward with Lewis French breaking down the right at every opportunity and delivering some dangerous balls into the penalty area. Just before half time Harry Green picked up the ball in central midfield and played a pass into Harry Healy on the edge of the area. Healy turned quickly and hit a powerful shot into the corner of the net leaving the away team 1-0 up at the interval.

Stockton were more dominant in the second half with the midfield trio of Green, Abrol and Conner Rennison controlling the game, regularly supported by some surging runs from the back by French. Rennison was a constant menace to the Billingham defence and it was his cross, turned in by Green that put Stockton 2-0 up. Green manufactured another chance for himself moments later and fired home from outside the box. Stockton's No.9 Healy was putting himself in position to take advantage of the balls from midfield and he grabbed his hat trick with two well taken goals putting the match beyond reach. There was still time for a sixth and it was Green again who notched his third with the best goal of the game. Picking up the ball outside the opponents area he jinked right and smashed it into the top corner.

An eagerly awaited clash between the only two teams in Division 1 with 100% records. Stockton were restricted to 7 fit players but started strongly forcing Bishop Auckland onto the back foot. After a couple of near misses, Harry Healy fired in a shot which was blocked and ran out to the edge of the box. Alex Greenhough followed up with a clean strike which rocketed past the keeper to put the home side 1-0 up.

The visitors reacted by pushing forward trying to create chances of their own. Stockton's defence stood firm however and they were unable to generate any clear openings. Lewis French and Will Gowan were linking up well for Stockton down the right and delivering some dangerous balls into the box. Just before half time they doubled their lead after Gowan cut inside and smashed the ball into the top corner.

The second half was another battling affair with both sides fighting hard to win posession. Harry Green, who was superb throughout, was winning tackles in midfield and distributing some great passes wide and to Healy in attack. The pressure was also coming down the right with Gowan torturing the Bishop Auckland defence everytime he had the ball. Midway through the half a rare mix up gave the away side an opportunity but they were denied by Connor Rennison in goal who comfortably handled everything that came his way.

Stockton were striving to extend their lead and, predictably it was Gowan who skipped past a couple of challenges and scored again with a powerful shot that the keeper couldn't hold. The hat trick was sealed a few moments later with a similar effort, capping off an excellent individual display from Gowan and another solid performance from Stockton.

A tough encounter eventually shaded by Stockton and plenty of action despite only a single goal.

On a tight pitch, space was always going to be limited and so it proved with both teams being closed down quickly once in posession. Nevertheless there were several chances created, Harry Healy going close for the Visitors following a clever through ball from Harry Green. A loose pass at the other end gave Darlington a clear opening but that was also fired wide. Every challenge was fiercely contested throughout a non-stop first half which ended 0-0.

The second half begin in similar fashion with both defences seeing plenty of the ball. Stockton were beginning to find more room but were either unable to hit the target or denied by resolute defending and some impressive goalkeeping. With time running out Sam Ruddock won a great tackle in the centre of the field, the ball breaking to Isaac Fletcher. Fletcher surged forward and drove the ball across the box where it deflected just inside the post following a desperate lunge from an unfortunate Darlington defender.

The final few minutes were tense and a long clearance from the home keeper saw the Darlington Striker sprinting into the box but shooting wide from about 10 yards out. That was to be the final chance and Stockton clinched a deserved 3 points in their most challenging game of the season so far.

The second game was another well contested affair, again edged by Stockton. Alex Greenhough was finding the Stockton forwards with some superbly weighted balls from midfield and Lewis French hit the back of the net twice, the second a fabulous volley from outside the box. Darlington continued to work hard and Hugo Abrol had to make some timely challenges to prevent a comeback, distributing the ball intelligently and calmly from defence. Both sets of players should be proud of their efforts.

Torrential rain greeted the 2 young teams for their first cup fixture of the season. Stockton started strongly forcing several early corners but were not able to turn their dominant posession into goals. Norton fought back creating chances of their own but the away team defended well with Sam Ruddock and Lewis French proving difficult to pass An entertaining first half finished goalless.

The second half started in similar fashion with Stockton continuing to heap pressure on the Norton backline. The ball was being moved quickly from defence to attack with Lewis French passing the ball cleanly and supporting the midfield at every opportunity. Despite an impressive defensive display from the home side the chances were now coming thick and fast for Stockton.

Midway through the second half Isaac Fletcher picked up the ball just inside Norton's half and surged forward past 2 players. As the defenders tried to close him down Fletcher jinked to the right and slammed the ball into the back of the net. A fantastic goal to break the deadlock and no more than the visitors deserved.

Stockton continued to press in the last 5 minutes with Harry Green pulling the strings in midfield. Will Gowan was a constant threat down the right and seeing more of the ball. With the game coming to a close he won posession on the right and accelerated past 2 players forcing his way into the box. The angle was tight but Gowan didn't hesitate and hammered a shot into the roof of the net sending Stockton into the Quarter Final of the Cup.

An extremely enjoyable contest thankfully not ruined by the conditions. Both teams should be commended for their efforts on a very wet day for supporters and players.
