After considerable thought over many months, I have decided to stop keeping score of cases on my blog in a statistical sense. I will still write about cases, and share my thoughts, as well as keep you up-to-date on the outcome of cases.

I feel this is the best choice for me at this time.

I am extremely proud of my track record to date. I have clearly maintained a statistically exceptional average over the long duration of 7.5 years. That's a feat that stands unchallenged by anyone today.

While I wanted to show my abilities to the public when I first started, I don't feel I have anything to prove anymore. I think my history and track record to date speaks for itself.

Thank you for all of your support. I hope you continue to enjoy the blog!
There is a news conference scheduled for today. You can read more here. I don't doubt the police have the right guy from what I have read.

I found Sierra's mom's behavior very odd when she spoke out about her missing daughter. You can read my original thoughts here. I didn't believe she was being honest with us, though I have said just because someone is not honest it is does not mean they committed murder. I cannot tell anyone with any certainly what a lie is about as I am not psychic, I can just spot them. This situation has caused me stress when writing this blog for a while now. How do I make this clear, and yet still measure my accuracy? Is it even possible to do? I am not sure it is.

I wonder if the days of keeping score on this blog should end because of situations like this. There will be more cases like this.

I set out to prove that you can spot deception with high accuracy from watching people talk, and I think I have accomplished that goal.

What do you think we should do? Did I miss this case? You tell me. I'm happy to mark it wrong if people feel this is the right option. There is no clear cut answer here.
It's been almost eight months after little baby Lisa disappeared. Her parents are back in the news. The last public appearance they made was in February on the Dr. Phil show, and they haven't spoken again until today.

They talk of wanting police to investigate a fraudulent charge on Jeremy's credit card that was made on a UK website one month after baby Lisa disappeared, where they allege someone purchased a service where one could change the name of a baby.

In this interview, what I find is strangely missing is any pleas on their behavior for people to look for their daughter! If they believe she is alive, why aren't they asking people to look for her? Why aren't they identifying her unique features and asking people to keep an eye out for her? Most parents would be begging.

I have always found the parents of baby Lisa's behavior very suspicious from day one. You can read my original thoughts here.
For those of you who are in a difficult relationship, there is an excellent book that has come out that I believe is a must read for you!

With more than 50% of marriages
ending in divorce, and more and more women ending up in jail after
altercations with spouses and boyfriends, what you don't know can
seriously hurt you. Author Janie McQueen educates women on the perils
that can destroy a woman's life if she is not aware of the laws, the
legal system and how it works when couples fight.

If you are unaware, a
simple scratch on your partner can leave a permanent mark on your
record that can not only scar you emotionally, but it can devastate you
financially. Many companies do not want to hire a woman who has an
arrest record--think Internet search--forget about a conviction!!

Expert reporter and
author Janie McQueen writes not only a riveting story of her time in
jail and having the police come to her house believing she was suicidal
when she wasn't - all because her husband was framing her-- she teaches
you the laws, and what you need to know to be prepared. She also shares
the stories of other women who went through exactly what she did, too. She sat in jail all because of a scratch!

Did you know if your kids see you fighting in some states that it is considered "cruelty to children"? It's true!

Don't
wait until it's too late for you, and you are scarred deeply by a bad
argument or a bad relationship. Get educated, be knowledgeable and be prepared!!

Janie interviewed me for this book and included a section on how to spot a liar. I hope you find this book as interesting as I did!

I sincerely believe it is a must read for all women. Most women have little knowledge about how the legal system works and what you don't know CAN hurt you.
(You can hear the unedited calls here)

In the phone call to 911 by Sergio Celis, I think everyone can hear that his demeanor is not in line with the events he wants us to believe happened. We hear no fear, stress, anger, panic or emotion in Sergio's voice whatsoever.

I am also immediately tripped by his words.

Sergio says, "I want to report a missing person." There is no urgency is Sergio's voice whatsoever! He also says, "I BELIEVE she was abducted from our house." He BELIEVES? Who would say that in a critical time like this? If you know something happened, such as foul play, you state it clearly, but what Sergio does here is hedge. He can't quite commit to his story: either consciously or subconsciously.

When you listen to Sergio's son talk to the police he says it like he believes it. He says, "Hey, I need someone to come. My sister's gone. Someone broke in and grabbed her." Do you notice there is no hesitation?

The 911 operator asked Sergio why he thinks his daughter was abducted, and I find this answer perplexing as well. He says "I have no idea." Most parents at this point would be saying "because I found the screen pushed out!!! Someone broke into my house and stole my daughter." But Sergio never thinks of this and thinks in broader terms instead, but most parents at this stage wouldn't even think beyond the break in at this point.

When Sergio talks, he almost sounds upbeat to me. His sentences end in positive notes.

When Sergio says about Becky, "I called her and told her to get her butt home," he laughs sinisterly. It's chilling as many of you have pointed out. This is not a nervous laugh at all. It's a laugh in the lines of "I got her." It further supports my theory that Sergio is a controlling and manipulative man, per my facial profiling.

When I listen to Becky in the 911 call, I hear stress, fear, worry and concern. You can hear the adrenaline in her voice. You can feel her urgency to get to her daughter, yet something happened between this and the first TV interview she did with Sergio. That urgency was gone. Why? What happened between her and Sergio?

When Becky is crying out in a high pitch, and she says the words, "I'm sorry" you can hear her voice quiver. I hear several quivers which indicate true emotions.

At this point, we know Sergio has been separated from his boys and Becky, and this could be a strategy to get Becky away from Sergio so she can relax and open up. Let's hope it works! I'd be curious to review her interviews to find out if she knows something because her behavior after this 911 call changed dramatically. Clearly, as I have said before, Sergio holds the key to this case, and poor Isabel's fate, and it isn't looking positive.
An Expert in Deception
Becky Celis was seen by reporters outside of her home yesterday on Mother's Day without Sergio. It is reported that one parent lost custody of the two remaining Celis boys, and I suspect that parent is Sergio.

What is fascinating about this interview is that we see Becky actually showing true stress in her face for the first time at length when she talks. We see a different Becky compared to when she is with Sergio.

As I mentioned when I did facial profiling last week, Sergio's facial features reveal he has potential anger and control issues. If I were assisting on this case, I absolutely would have investigated this further. And now seeing Becky without Sergio, her demeanor has taken a complete change in direction compared to the other interviews we've seen. While she shows more stress in her forehead, she seems oddly more relaxed.

I have to wonder if Becky is afraid of Sergio now. As the police are honing in, I think Sergio holds the key to this case.
An Expert in Deception
If you saw 48 Hours this past weekend, it was a fascinating story about a couple, Chris and Sheri Coleman, who were married twelve years, and supposedly became a target of hate mail. They started receiving threatening letters targeting Chris because he worked for Joyce Meyer, a well known religious televangelist. The letters hit Chris up to stop "preaching the bull".

Move forward six months later, and the family is still receiving hate mail. Chris goes to the gym one morning and tries to call his wife. He couldn't reach her, so he calls a neighbor who happens to be an investigator at the local police department, Detective Justin Barlow.

Detective Barlow sadly finds the entire Coleman family murdered in a house.

This case was littered with clues about who did this, and the police correctly picked up on it and prosecuted Chris Coleman who is now behind bars and rightfully so.

At the end of the 48 Hours show, I found it fascinating what Chris said. Chris is asked if he knows who murdered his family.

Chris responds, "I have absolutely no clue, believe me. I've racked my brain to try...for two and a half years to try and figure that part out (laughter). I just had to stop and give it to God--just release that and do my best to forgive that person and move on."

Oh. My. God.

That is the most absolutely ridiculous thing I have ever heard: bar none.

If there is one statement that puts the nail in the coffin for Chris, this has to be it!!!

No innocent man who is sitting in jail for killing his wife and kids is going to give it to God and move on. Hell no!!! They are going to want to get justice for what was done to themselves and their loved ones!! They aren't going to forgive a person who wrongly put them in jail!!!

It's amazing to me how the mind thinks it can fool people. If this guy had any clue how a real victim would feel, he would have NEVER said this.

Unbelievable.

If anyone had their doubts about Chris, this should close the book for sure.
An Expert in Deception
The most notable element of both parents is their lack of urgency to find their daughter. They are as relaxed as a Sunday brunch with friends when I would expect them to be on edge and very stressed considering their daughter has been abducted.

Furthermore, they are emotionally as flat as ice cubes when it comes to expressing fear, sadness and concern, yet they tell us their heart is breaking. If their heart is breaking, they would be giving us indicators (oblique eyebrows, frowns, tears, etc), but we see absolutely nothing. It's hard to ignore. Faces do not lie.

Becky says without any emotions whatsoever, "...we break down every night. Sorry that we are not breaking down in front
of you guys every five seconds. I am very private. I am not one to
show my feelings in front of people. You can ask anybody. I need my
friends and family. I am very closed person. And I cry by myself. I
break down by myself. I don't even break down in front of my kids and
my husband. That is my thing, my private -- I'm sorry, that is just the
way I am."

Yet when she says this, I see a glimmer of positive emotions as shown below. How can she feel positive emotions in a time like this?

Becky and Sergio were asked if they had any suspects in their minds and listen to Becky's answer: "From the get-go, we...I don't think we ever...eh....I mean, its all been so...(shoulder shrug)...we just don't understand. We don't understand who would take her. There is no reason to take her."

Becky shows what are called false starts. She starts a sentence in one direction and then change directions multiple times. This means that Becky is thinking on her feet as she talks and changes her thoughts constantly. Becky and Sergio both do this repeatedly through this interview. Then Becky finally says, "There is no reason to take her."

I find Becky's answer odd. There is no reason to take her? Of course there isn't, but it doesn't take long for any adult to figure out why a child could be abducted and none of them are positive, yet they don't seem to even consider this, which is highly abnormal.

Sergio talks further about who could have taken Isa. He says, "We literally wanted anyone whose been in our home to go through all the questioning, because yes, how are we going to trust anyone whose been in our home because we really don't know."

Its interesting that Sergio is saying they suspect everyone, yet if someone took their daughter out her window, wouldn't that support a stranger abduction? Which one do they believe it is? They don't ever seem to clarify this.

Becky continues that they want everybody... anyone who has been in their house to be held under the same scrutiny as they were. When Becky says this, she shows disgust. Why is Becky disgusted? Sergio continues, "To be held under the same scrutiny as us."

If you notice, they don't want people questioned to get to the truth. Instead, they make it clear they want people scrutinized just like they were. That seems to be most important to them. It's very odd.

Parents of abducted children could careless about being scrutinized about the missing child so long as police hone into the right direction, and Sergio acts like its no big deal to them, yet Becky shows clear disgust when talking about this.

What these two say versus what they express emotionally are two different animals!

Sergio goes on to says, "And now its giving thanks to the community". Giving thanks? This really flags me. No one has found Isa!!! How can you thank people before you get results? Most parents of missing children don't think about thanking anyone until they find evidence and get an outcome. It's the furthest thing on their mind until they get answers! They continue to beg for help and they don't want people to think they're done and finished with a thank you!

It's like these two don't seem to need answers, do they?

Becky is asked and talks about the funding that is being raised for Isabel. She says, "We've asked that it goes straight to them, to find Isabel. I mean we're okay, financially, we will make it. We've made it through worse, and uh, financially, and uh, there's no...we'll make this though. What we want is all the effort towards Isabel, finding Isabel" and this point she shakes her head no, and gives a blended contempt disgust expression!!!

I was blown away!!! See a screen capture below.

Furthermore, if you notice Becky says they've been through worse? REALLY? Then she corrects herself by saying financially. Becky is self-censoring herself. Why does she feel the need to do this?

Why does Becky have such contempt and disgust about money being used to find Isa? This disturbs me. Its like she doesn't want people searching and looking for Isa nor for the money to be spent, or she is disgusted and contemptuous at the reporter, but why?

Sergio then talks about the ransom and gives us many false starts when he says, "I wanted to be clear that nothing had been mentioned...there was no, you know.......I wanted....if there were demands, please let us know something...let us know something. Why is this happening? What is the reason behind it? And the fact that nothing has been mentioned about that--that's why we're even reaching for that. It's like they're not even mentioning anything....as far as a reward, or anything like that. And even the reward money when we were first saw it and 88 crime put up their reward, and to this day everything as far as we know is an anonymous donation."

Does that even make sense to anyone? Sergio is talking nonsense in all directions, isn't he? What's up with these two? Ransom and reward money are two different things!!! And he suggests he is reaching for a ransom. What?

I can't believe they laughed at what ransom money they would have when asked. "I guess we could get rid of our cars and our house," says Sergio. He guesses? Would you ever say that? Most parents would say if this comes down to a ransom, we will come up with whatever money is necessary! Or they wouldn't even entertain this concept, but these two make you feel like they wouldn't give up a dime for ransom, don't they?

It seems they want a ransom, but none has been mentioned. Why would they even entertain this? It seems absurd to me.

I do not believe Becky or Sergio at all. I think they feel very differently than they are telling us.

I absolutely love looking at people to see what I can discern from their attire, facial expressions, facial features, demeanor, etc. If we are cognizant, we can actual glean a lot of information about a person before a word is ever spoken, and this information is usually quite reliable.

This man is fascinating. He is in a photo taken by a stranger and he doesn't crack a smile. The photographer wrote that he saw the man sitting outside a bar in the U.K. and just asked if he could take his picture and the guy said yes, and then afterwards, the man in the photo bought the photographer a drink.

He shows a serious side by his expression, and yet his attire is anything but serious, if you ask me. It is very flamboyant--almost over-the-top, if you will. His attire makes a bold statement that this man is willing to push the envelope, he is willing to step outside of societies expectations, and that combined with the flamboyancy of his clothing, we can speculate he is a man who likes attention. We can further support that by the fact he let the guy take his photo and then bought him a drink. He wanted to talk to a man who was interested in him!

His posture, jewelry and attire also suggest a bit of self-admiration. This man could be slightly arrogant, and perhaps insecure. He likes to portray a serious face that is somewhat foreboding: "Don't mess with me" Yet he gives mixed messages with his clothing. His attire tells me he'd crack a laugh without too much effort, and probably is quite the jokester.

I call what I have done here facial profiling. Science is researching this and finding that people do thin-slicing quite well and accurately. Read more here.

When I first look at Becky and Sergio, I immediately notice their demeanor. It stands out to me. They are both extremely somber and hopeless looking. There is no urgency in them whatsoever to find their daughter. Why? Why have they given up? It seems they have been this way from day one. How do you give up if you believe your daughter is abducted and could still be out there?

When Becky first talks, I feel like she is making a conscious effort to
talk about her daughter in present tense, and as soon as Sergio slips and uses
past tense, he corrects himself. It’s notable. The last time Becky talked about her daughter, she used past tense, and while that can be a clue to deception, it isn't always, but the change in her behavior now is what stands out. You can just feel her thinking as she speaks.

Sergio doesn’t seem to have a solid last memory of his last
time with Isa. He doesn't talk about tucking her into bed, hugging her good night, getting her ready for bed. I don't hear him have recollection memories like "I didn't tuck her in to bed that night and I so regret it." Instead his memory is one of her walking past him not wanting to eat. He says, "I was asking her..." instead of "I asked her...". He doesn't talk in terms of what he remembers. His memories are... "She just was ...she was...she is..."

Becky does a lot of shoulder shrugging as she is talking, which is showing a
lack of confidence in what she is saying. Why doesn't the woman have confidence in what she should know to be true? That they are innocent, that someone took their daughter, that she is out there and can be found, if people work together and no one gives up!?

For Sergio to say that Isabel doesn’t deserve this is
odd. “Deserve” is a weird word for a
child that he believes was abducted. I don't think any parent would think in these terms if their child was a victim of a crime. However, if something happened to Isa under their watch which caused her harm, they might use these terms.

Sergio is asked if he believes his daughter is being held somewhere by the Today Show. If you notice, Sergio doesn't answer the question, but he does say they have a reward ready. Are you kidding me? There there has been nothing said about a
ransom! Where does this come from? Most parents don't automatically think of a ransom when a child is abducted. This is very strange!!

Sergio says when talking about being looked at in this case, "We do feel sometimes that they're wasting time with us
even though we know we have to be under, you know, scrutiny, absolutely,
understandable: but my goodness, she's still out there."

When he says this, he actually
breaks out into a smile. How could he
ever find that funny? Most people would
be upset if the police were wrongly looking at them. They also wouldn't feel that "sometimes" they are wasting time. They would feel like every time they look at the them, they are wasting time.

Clearly, their answers are not consistent with what they want us to believe.

I also find it odd that Becky only wants “prayers” to bring her
daughter home instead of volunteers to search, people to look for their daughter
at gas stations, supermarkets, convenience stories. Most moms would say anyone
who you think looks like Isa, please call police. No lead is unimportant, but
no she just wants prayers. That is stressed way more than their desire for people to search. Very strange.

Becky specifically says she wants prayers to “bring her…to help us bring her home.” You almost feel they are asking for prayers
for someone to find their little girl’s body, to help them get her home without
implicating them so this whole ordeal can be over with.

I have no doubt the parents know a different story than what they are telling us about Isa right now. Very sad.

It stands out to me. They are both extremely somber and hopeless looking. There is no urgency in them whatsoever to find their daughter. Why? Why have they given up? It seems they have been this way from day one. How do you give up if you believe your daughter is abducted and could still be out there? When Becky first talks, I feel like she is making a conscious effort to talk about her daughter in present tense, and as soon as Sergio slips and uses past tense, he corrects himself. It’s notable. The last time Becky talked about her daughter, she used past tense, and while that can be a clue to deception, it isn't always, but the change in her behavior now is what stands out. You can just feel her thinking as she speaks. Sergio doesn’t seem to have a solid last memory of his last time with Isa. "She just was ...she was...she is..." Becky does a lot of shoulder shrugging as she is talking, which is showing a lack of confidence in what she is saying. Why doesn't the woman have confidence in what she should know to be true? That they are innocent, that someone took their daughter, that she is out there and can be found, if people work together and no one gives up!? For Sergio to say that Isabel doesn’t deserve this is odd. “Deserve” is a weird word for a child that he believes was abducted. There there has been nothing said about a ransom! Where does this come from? Most parents don't automatically think of a ransom when a child is abducted. This is very strange!! Sergio says when talking about being looked at in this case, "We do feel sometimes that they're wasting time with us even though we know we have to be under, you know, scrutiny, absolutely, understandable: but my goodness, she's still out there." When he says this, he actually breaks out into a smile. How could he ever find that funny? Most people would be upset if the police were wrongly looking at them. They also wouldn't feel that "sometimes" they are wasting time. They would feel like every time they look at the them, they are wasting time. Clearly, their answers are not consistent with what they want us to believe. I also find it odd that Becky only wants “prayers” to bring her daughter h</itunes:summary><itunes:keywords>Missing Person, The Today Show, Sergio Celis, Becky Celis, Isabel Celis, Isa</itunes:keywords>

<feedburner:origEnclosureLink>http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640</feedburner:origEnclosureLink>

Latest Update on Ryan Ferguson Case

Here is the last update to the Ryan Ferguson case. If you aren't familiar with it, you can read my original post here.

Ryan Ferguson was locked up seven years ago for allegedly murdering Kent Heitholt, a newspaper editor in Missouri. Two people testified against Ryan during his trial and now both have recanted their stories.

First, Chuck Erickson, Ryan's friend, recanted his story that he was with Ryan at the murder, and now Jerry Trump, an employee at the newspaper where Heitholt worked has recanted his story as well as that he saw Ferguson.

I have said from the first time I saw this case that Ryan (& Chuck) are innocent, and hopefully a judge will agree after this evidentary hearing is ruled upon sometime in July.

I absolutely LOVE Kathleen Zellner. She is brilliant!

The person who I believe should be a person-of-interest in this case is Michael Boyd. I agree whole-heartedly with Kathleen!

The original prosecutor in this case needs to be held accountable, if you asked me for abusing the system, and Ryan needs to be set free.
An Expert in Deception
This has to be one of the most bizarre stories I have seen since writing this blog for seven years! Jeffrey Locker was found stabbed to death in Harlem, and what police uncovered in the search for the killer was bizarre. Video footage quickly lead them to Kenneth Minor as their suspect and murderer, but Minor's story was like a twisted nightmare like no other I have ever heard!

Minor claimed that Locker asked him to kill him because he was involved in a ponzi scheme and was in serious financial trouble. Minor said that Locker wanted to be murdered so his family could collect on his insurance policies. According to 48 Hours, his insurance policies totaled a staggering twelve million dollars.

When I watched Minor tell his story, I have to admit, I was going back and forth like a ship rocking: I believe him here, he's lying here, and then I didn't know what to think. I had to absorb everything to make sense of it all. As with many cases, the truth and lies are often blended together, and I suspect that is the case here.

Clearly, Minor has no remorse for what he did, and would have no problem killing a man for money. We can see he went out to cash in immediately. He also hit me as someone who could lie to anyone without worry. I wonder if he is pathological.

In the end, I personally do not believe Minor's version of events that Locker plunged himself into a knife that Minor held. I think that was a story concocted by Minor to say it was suicide, and only suicide--thinking he could get off. I believe Minor outright stabbed Locker, but I also believe that Locker did have a plan and wanted to be murdered because of the evidence uncovered by police--specifically the email from Locker's son and the bizarre behavior of Locker's wife and kids when the police alerted them about his death.

You can't write fiction this crazy. You simply can't!

48 Hours reported that during Minor's trial, no one from the Locker's immediate family came to the trial. The Lockers haven't done any interviews about this story at all, which I find suspect. If their beloved Jeffrey was killed by a stranger, without their knowledge, you would think they would want justice and would want to call out a liar, but they don't. They keep out of the public eye, and have pursued the insurance money.

How I would love to see Jeffrey's widow speak about this!!!

48 Hours also mentioned that Jeffrey's wife is suing one insurance company for $4 million dollars. The other company that issued $8 million dollar policy refused to release if they paid the Lockers or not. I suspect by that statement alone that they did pay, and that combined with the fact Mrs. Locker is only suing the company, supports that, too.

Can you imagine allowing your husband to get "murdered" so you can live a rich life?

Can you imagine allowing your husband to get "murdered" so you can live a rich life? How creepy is that?An Expert in Deception www.eyesforlies.com www.eyesforlies.blogspot.com</itunes:summary><itunes:keywords>Kenneth Minor, 48 Hours, Death Wish, Jeffrey Locker</itunes:keywords>

<feedburner:origEnclosureLink>http://cnettv.cnet.com/av/video/cbsnews/atlantis2/cbsnews_player_embed.swf</feedburner:origEnclosureLink>

Isabel Celis Parents Plea for her Return

In another unfortunate twist this week, we see more parents pleading for their child's safe return, but the problem, again, is we are seeing feigned emotions.

I am troubled by many things in this plea:

Their focus is on themselves--"We just wanted to let you guys know..." "We are cooperating to the fullest extent.." These are their first thoughts!!

Becky slips and says, "We do not want you to focus...or...we don't want the focus to be taken off of Isabel." Is that a subconscious slip of the tongue?

The higher pitch of Sergio's voice...

The lack of tears when they appear to be crying.

The lack of oblique eyebrows at key times when they attempt to express true sadness.

The lack of urgency to find their daughter. They start the interview by thanking people instead of pleading for people to keep a lookout for their daughter, give her description, etc. Which would be more important to you if your daughter was missing?

Their complete despair and lack of hope.

While both of these people are undeniably feeling stress, they are trying to express sadness and fear, but show no sincere expressions to support it.

I also notice how they are fine before they talk, but get "emotional" when they are speaking, but as soon as the camera is off of them again, they go back to being normal. This is called emotional turbulence and is not a good sign.

Becky also uses self-soothing gestures when she rubs her neck. While these are not an indicator of deception, why does she have the need to self-sooth when she speaks to the media?

I am also troubled by how these two are extremely clingy. They act like the need each other desperately. Are they hiding a horrible secret? Most parents of children who are missing legitimately are not clingy. They are strong, resolved, hopeful and plead for information to bring their child back. These two seem troubled internally much more than they are about their missing daughter, if you ask me.

I suspect we will find out these two know more than they are telling us...how sad for Isabel.

Sierra Lamar went missing on March 16, 2012, from her home in California. She was not seen by any of her friends or on the school bus that morning, but her cell phone was found along the road the following day. Sierra's mom, Marlene, has been in the media talking about her daughter's disappearance, and her emotions and demeanor clearly stand out as inconsistent.

If you watch her in this interview above, she wants us to believe she is sad and worried, but she shows no clear scientific evidence that she is really feeling this way.

I do not believe Sierra's mom is feeling like she wants us to feel. It's a notable red flag.

In the interview below with Nancy Grace, Marlene confuses facts and gets very defensive with Nancy Grace when talking about her boyfriend and if he was home the morning Sierra disappeared. Then she cuts the interview off with a ridiculous line that she had other things she had to do. It's absolute rubbish!

If finding Sierra was Marlene's number one priority, she would have stayed on the phone with Nancy Grace, but she didn't. It seems her number one priority was taking the questions off of her boyfriend!! She wanted everyone to believe he was cleared, but as Nancy Grace finds out after Marlene is off the line from the sheriff that no one is cleared.

Why is Marlene so defensive about her boyfriend? I sure would like to see him speak. If anyone finds a video of him, please let me know.

I also listened to Marlene recall the last morning she saw her daughter, she couldn't give us any details of their last encounter. Instead, she recalls the night before. This is another red flag.

She also is what I would call emotionally turbulent in some interviews. That's another red flag.

Do I trust Marlene? I do not. I believe she knows more than she is telling us.
(Not actual photo of house or builder)

I was talking to a builder in my neighborhood yesterday who approached me when I was taking a walk. We had a very interesting conversation. He said he was improving the house he was working on and it would, in turn, improve the value of the houses in the neighborhood. He promptly handed me his business card.

Since he was friendly and open, I decided to probe him for information. I saw wood boards being put up in a vanilla color, and I asked him if that was the color the house was going to be.

He looked at me and said no. He didn't offer any information about what color the house was going to be. He seemed to be avoiding it, which piqued my interested even more. He just said, "It's going to be vinyl siding."

So I hit him again, "What color will the siding be?"

He looked at me and said, "It will be a beautiful color. The house will look really nice."

I though what is up with this guy! So, I asked him again.

He evaded me again! He said, "It will be a neutral shade."

That involves a lot of colors, I thought!

I asked again, "What color? Tan, brown, coffee ice cream?"

He looked at me and said, "It will be a swirl."

I was dumbfounded at this point. Swirled vinyl siding? I kept envisioning little hurricanes in brown and tan all over the house. That would kill property values, if you ask me--if such a horrible product existed!

He certainly got me to stop asking questions because I thought maybe there is some new product I have never heard about. I wanted to go home and read about it to see if I was missing something.

What I've found it there may be a swirl pattern to the siding, but not in the color, so the builder completely evaded me! When I think about it, I suspect he will be getting whatever he finds on sale and he didn't want to commit to a color to me in case I shared it with the homeowner. The homeowner might be asking more questions that he doesn't want. He is trying to do something underhanded!!

I mean if the homeowner hadn't picked the color, he certainly would have volunteered that information by saying he didn't know just yet. So he is likely telling them he'll get this great new shade--they just have to wait until he can get a sample. Yeah, that great new shade will be whatever shade is cheapest for him when he needs it!!

I certainly smell a rat!

If this builder thought he was selling his services, he swiftly close the door in his own face!
An Expert in Deception

If you didn't see Dateline on Sunday night, and you are a parent of a teenager, I highly recommend it. If there is one group of people who I meet who consistently tell me they are good at spotting lies, its moms. They watch their children lie and feel confidentially they can call it out, but in the presence of many, I can tell you they don't see the clues as often as they think they do, and often misjudge the situation.

Here is an interesting article from Psychology Today: Is Your Teen Trustworthy? Can you Tell?

Quoted from the article:

57% of the time mothers believed that adolescents were telling the truth, teens really were

33% of the time mothers believed adolescents were lying, teens said they were telling the truth

What do you think? Do you trust your teenager not to get in a car with a drunk driver?
An Expert in Deception

If there is one group of people who I meet who consistently tell me they are good at spotting lies, its moms. They watch their children lie and feel confidentially they can call it out, but in the presence of many, I can tell you they don't see the clues as often as they think they do, and often misjudge the situation. Here is an interesting article from Psychology Today: Is Your Teen Trustworthy? Can you Tell? Quoted from the article: 57% of the time mothers believed that adolescents were telling the truth, teens really were 33% of the time mothers believed adolescents were lying, teens said they were telling the truth What do you think?
George Zimmerman says in this video as he appears to be looking at his attorney that he is sorry that Martins lost their son. You quickly realize Zimmerman is not sorry that he killed Trayvon, only that the Martin's lost his son.

There is a huge difference between the two, and it makes Zimmerman's apology fall short, if you ask me.

Zimmerman appears to have planned to say this statement, and rehearsed it with his attorney. Hence that is why he looks at his attorney from what I can see when he begins the statement and when he ends it.

This was not the appropriate time for this apology nor was it done with any sincerity. It was clearly for image control than anything, if you ask me, and it came across exactly in that manner, as it was intended.

We can certainly conclude that Zimmerman is not remorseful about killing Martin -- neither his words nor his emotions support this.

George shows notable inconsistencies when he is asked by the prosecuting attorney if he ever made an apologetic statement after the incident to police. He firmly says, "No, sir."

Yet within a second or two, he realizes what he said and he changes his answer. He says, "I don't remember what I said...I believe I said that." Then Zimmerman tries to convince us he did say it, but he doesn't remember much. He continues, "In one of the statements, I believe I said I was sorry." Yet when questioned who was present when he spoke, he can't confirm who it was.

Do I believe George? I do not.

When I saw this story in the news that a woman stripped at an airport, I was naturally curious to see who would do such a thing.

The first image I saw of her was of her back with privacy bars to cover her bum, and I was stunned at her body language.

She stood proud, with her hips notably forward and her legs relaxed as if she were standing at a beach concession stand. It jumped out at me! This woman was calm--at least when these photos were taken. How bizarre.

She stood there like she was fully clothed. There was no modesty at all. She was as relaxed and as confident as one could get.

It's like she has no idea whatsoever what was going on.

The woman supposedly complained of a lack of sleep. You have to wonder if her brain was so exhausted it blurred a dream-state and confused it with reality. They suspect it was a mental breakdown of sorts. And by her body language alone, most women wouldn't stand with this posture in an airport butt naked unless something went wrong mentally.

I'm glad she was taken to the hospital.

Once she becomes full cognizant, I am sure this will be a whopper to comprehend.

Do you find her body language telling?

Harvard researchers did a study to find out how honest doctors were. I think the results will surprise you!

A whopping 34 percent of doctors don't think they should disclose "serious" medical errors!
