Sorry for being out of commission for a bit. Back in action. Artemide has recently come out with new ceiling lights called Mercury Ceiling and Mercury Suspension. The difference between the two is in the name themselves. The Mercury Ceiling is connected directly to the ceiling while the Mercury Suspension is suspended from the ceiling. The luminaires are run by halogen lights, and are made from thermoplastic and die-cast aluminum materials.

“A ceiling fixture that places a floating assembly of large pebbles below a simple modern aluminum disc. These in turn reflect each other, bouncing light between their taught bio-morphic surfaces and reflecting the environment around them. During the day, the piece acts as a sculptural object reflecting the dynamics of natural light and movement of people around them.”

Armoire and Media Cabinet

This is a classic wooden armoire and media combination with a fresh design from Antoine Proulx. In this combination the bottom armoire portion offers drawers for storage use, while the top has adjustable shelves to accommodate your media needs. The cabinet does have a maximum television dimension of 27″, but nowadays most televisions can just be wall mounted giving you extra storage space in this cabinet. I really like how the cabinet appears to be hanging in air.

Decorative Pillows from Inside Avenue

ALNOPLAN Kitchen

I have written a previous article about the ALNOCLOU kitchen but I came across another great looking design also from ALNO, the ALNOPLAN. Not only does it give off that “home” feeling but it looks classy too.

The ALNOPLAN kitchen is thoroughly uncomplicated and extremely low-maintenance. The edges are available in the same finish as the doors or with a continuous stainless steel-look. The doors are crafted from sand maple laminate, and the carcase is constructed from grey Quartz. The worktop is also crafted from grey Quartz with a direct coat finish for easy maintenance. The kitchen also features pullout storage cabinets like the one in the image below (I really like that feature).

Pilar Faucet from DELTA

I saw a commercial today about this faucet and was completely amazed by the technology put into it. Delta has created this faucet with Touch2O™ technology which adds a great function to it. By the tapping anywhere on the spout or handle, the water will automatically turn on for hands free use. By implementing this technology it helps prevent bacteria which is definitely a plus when working with food. The faucet also includes a pull-down section for even more functionality and is available in two finishes: Chrome and Brilliant Stainless. A video of the commercial for the faucet is located below.
