We wanted to let you know about an exciting new feature on EXAMEN.me!

As our community of users has grown, we’ve noticed our ability to quickly and thoroughly respond to email and answer questions has slowed.   Because we believe you are extremely important to us, we have been working hard to fix this issue.

Which leads me to revealing our new support feature.   This new feature fixes three things.

1. A new layout allows you to easily find the category and issue you may be needing.
2. An easy to use search bar that allows you to use keywords and easily search for an answer to your question.
3. If you are unable to find your answer using the keyword search, we have implemented a new ticketing system that allows us to quickly respond and answer to all emails.

We truly are so thankful for each and every one of you and are working hard to ensure your experience with EXAMEN.me is positive.  We pray this improved feature will help!

Do you ever get in a slump with your time with the Lord?  You get out of the habit of reading the Word and before you know it, days, weeks, or even months have gone by without you spending time with our Savior.

Here at EXAMEN.me, we want to help you get out of those slumps!

We have recently added an option on your “My Profile” page which allows you to sign up for an email reminder if your account has been inactive for 14 days.  This is something you must opt into.  You will not automatically be signed up for the email reminders.

So if you’re ready for those slump days to be over, sign in to EXAMEN.me, click on “my profile”  (found under your name at the top right of the screen), and choose to receive the email reminder today!

EXAMEN.me just released a new feature that allows each reader to pick from a variety of 30 different reading plans.  When you hear the words “reading plans”, you may cringe as you remember all the plans in the past that you have not fully completed.  Don’t worry, we have built this feature to help you succeed!  Here are the top three reasons why EXAMEN.me’s reading plans are unique, beneficial, and completely achievable.

1. There are a variety of plans offered.

We have year long plans, 90 day plans, 30 day plans, 14 day plans, and 7 day plans.  Each plan varies in its purpose.  For example, there is a year-long Bible reading plan that goes through the Bible chronologically, one that goes straight through from Genesis to Revelation, one that focuses just on the New Testament for a year, one that goes through the Epistles, and one that goes through the New Testament as well as the Psalms and Proverbs.    There are 30 and 14 day plans that take you through specific people or ideas in scriptures and various shorter plans that deal with life topics.  There literally is a reading plan for every personality and life circumstance.

2. The days of the reading plan are not divided into actual calendar days.

Instead, you can go through the plan as fast or as slow as you wish.  For example, if you signed up for 7 Days on Focusing on Marriage and began Day 1 right away, the second day would be available immediately upon completing the first day.  This allows you to complete a 7 day plan in one day, 7 consecutive days, or 7 days spread out throughout the month or year.   Typical reading plans confine you to completing the plan in consecutive days.  The flexibility of EXAMEN.me’s plans allows you every opportunity to succeed in the reading plans you signed up for.

3. You can sign up for as many plans as you want.

If you want to go through 14 Days on the Life and Teaching of Paul at the same time as you are going through the Bible in a year and 7 Days on Money, you can.  When you login, you just choose which plan to begin at that moment.

These are only the top three reasons why these reading plans will be worth your time.  You do need to create a free account in order to access the reading plans, but it will be well worth your time.   Go to EXAMEN.me and start your 2011 with a plan in place to help develop an intimate relationship with Christ.

We have put together year-long plans, and plans that will finish in 90 days, 30 days, 14 days, or 7 days. Each reading plan has its own focus and covers different Biblical characters, books, and life topics.

You can continue to log in and do the scripture and prayer examens, but in addition, we encourage you to try out a new reading plan as well.  These reading plans will enable you to focus on topics you may be dealing with, areas of life you may need encouragement in, or books you desire to read through.

If you have been a Christian for 30 years or 30 days, chances are you have received the memo that says, “If you want to be a good Christian, you need to read your Bible and pray.” In my experience, most Christians desire to read their Bibles and pray, but often do not know what to do when they get in a quite place to practice these spiritual disciplines. When reading the Bible, they do not understand the Scriptures or know how to apply it to their lives. When praying, they do not know what to pray for and loose focus. Slowly and surely, the believer feels defeated and gives up.
