Isn’t this frame super sweet?

I heard about this shop from an Etsy Item of the Day shop submission.  The seller, Trisha Koontz, has a wide variety of handcrafted items in her Etsy shop.  Seriously - everything from frames and jewelry to hair accessories and cards can be found in TAKCreations on Etsy.com.  You can visit the shop by clicking the shop name (TAKCreations) at the top of this feature.

Trisha told me she is fairly new to Etsy and has really enjoyed creating and selling her handmade products to people all over the world. “The challange and the succsess is what really drives me!” she told me.

When she is not crafting, Trisha says she has another project on her hands.  “Working on my new house which I just bought and am now remodeling! Working, going to the beach, relaxing with my husband, or hanging with friends,” she says.

I am always curious to see what other sellers are peeping on Etsy.com.  Trisha says she loves Ouma, a fabulous clothing designer selling on Etsy.  “This shop blows my mind, not only are her clothes amazing and original, but her pictures are captivating!” she told me.  I absolutely love Ouma!  I featured Ouma’s Tutu Dress back in February of 2009, and I check back on this shop often.  Trust Trisha – this is a shop to check out for sure!

Lamixx.  “Mostly because I want to buy everything in it! But she also has amazing designs and pictures to match,” she said.

Trafalgarssquare.  “This shop is so amazing the artists work is to die for darling!” Trisha says.

BeadsNSupplies.  “This is my favorite shop to buy supplies from! She is an amazing seller and has high quality products!” she told me.

Trisha tells sells to make sure to do research!  “Once you get a hold of how Etsy works and what your target market is you can really hone in on your listings and self promoting! Be patient, don’t get down if sales drop for a week- thats just the way it goes. Do all of the social marketing- twitter, facebook, flicker, etc! It really works and subjects you to a wide range of people who may add one of your items on a blog and all of a sudden you’re getting 300 unique visitors a day,” she advises.

Can’t wait to see what’s next for TAKCreations?  Trisha says she is going to continue to try to get closer and closer to her niche and continue to push her artistic ability into her work.  I cannot wait to see the new items Trisha will be adding in the coming months to her Etsy shop!

This  month, I am featuring a new Etsy seller each day who comes my way via my Etsy shop submission page.  Yesterday, I featured the work of SimonDesigns, a great jewelry shop on Etsy.com.  Today, I have another awesome jewelry shop to share called GazelleJewelry!

The designer and crafter behind this Etsy shop is named Zvia Dropiyvski.  This seller has a great website outside of Etsy that you can visit to learn more about her.  You can also connect with Zvia on Facebook and Twitter.

“Gazelle Jewelry is a fashion jewelry brand that combines classic style with contemporary urban touches,” Zvia told me.  “My Jewelry is created out of profound thought and extensive research in order to create a unique Jewel that incorporates the new and contemporary with classic elements. The Jewelry is adapted to modern life style the way we experience it in our everyday lives. Extra attention is given to adapting the jewel with the body by using high quality materials and unique shapes.”

There are so many great items in this shop, but I thought sharing a jewelry item for men would be cool. I love this ring Zvia created, pictured above.  It is selling for $90.00.  This ring is made of oxidized sterling silver.  I love that this ring comes in a beautiful gift box, which makes it easy to buy on Etsy and give.  Keep in mind that each of the rings Zvia makes is handmade, so each one is a bit different.  So cool!

When she is not crafting, Zvia says she loves photography, scuba diving, and 4 * 4.

Definitely give this shop a peek if you love jewelry.  There are so many styles in this shop, I can guarantee you can find something for yourself or for a gift.

When I heard about Or Simon though her Etsy Item of the Day shop submission, I knew her shop would be a great shop to showcase.  All this month, I will be sharing a new shop that comes my way via a shop submission.  Join in the fun and submit your shop!

Or Simon created SimonDesigns, a jewelry shop on Etsy.com.  My favorite piece is this Love Letter necklace selling for $35.00.  Isn’t it cute?

“My name is Or Simon,” she told me in her shop submission.  “I am a crafter, mother and a wife (not in order). I love to craft and I get inspired by all beauty around me.”

When she is not crafting, Or tells me she likes to travel with her family and craft with her kids.  If she has extra time, she dances in a studio!

“For the last 2 years, I buy all the gifts at Etsy for my family and friends,” she told me.  “I like to suprise them with special presents.”

Etsy.com shops she frequents include PinkPerch, christystudio, and OneElf.

If you are new to Etsy, Or Simon has some great advice for you.  “Forum…forum…” she tells me.  “I learn everything from this great Etsy community.”

Blame it on me getting stoked about my October get-away to Hawaii, but this lovely blue whipped soap caught my eye!

I learned about the seller behind StarletGlamBathBody, Peggy Paliotta, through a shop submission to Etsy Item of the Day.  This entire month, I am featuring a new seller each day that tells me about their shop on this page.  Here are some of the other great shops I have featured this month:

StarletGlamBathBody is filled with great bath and beauty products.  Peggy runs this small home-based boutique in Rhode Island.

“I’ve always had a passion for healthy bath & body products and all things pink and glamorous!” she told me.  You will see lots of pink in this shop.  The packaging is darling – and I would give a friend a StarletGlamBathBody product in a heartbeat!

So how did the shop get started?  “I was browsing a magazine article about handmade lip balms back in 1998. That article also mentioned handcrafting soaps,” Peggy said.  “That’s when I got my start and launched “A Splash of Renaissance” while living in NYC. After relocating back to Rhode Island, I started fresh under a new name — with new products. And I haven’t looked back. My elegant products include glamour soaps – such as a corset shaped soap titled “Bombshell Marilyn Corset” inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and an “Antique Rose Garden Soap”, a Rose shaped soap.”

Peggy says her boutique has grown to include glamour soap, LeBoudoir bar soaps, shimmer shower gels, body butters, hand & body lotions, lip balm shimmers, bath crystals, LuxWhip cream soaps, sugar scrubs, bath fizzie powders and perfume oils.

But don’t think she’s stopping at that already long product list.  “There will be additional products/scents in the near future,” she told me.  “My passion and inspiration for Old Hollywood led to the creation of my elegant bath & body products. It’s all about pampering you and making you feel special! Simple, yet glamorous products that will fly you to the stars!”

Peggy says she hopes to include additional products and scents to her Etsy shop in the future.  “And in addition to doing high end juried craft shows, I’m also browsing gift boutiques on the East Coast and West Coast for wholesale accounts,” Peggy said. “My dream is to one day open up my own retail boutique.”
