The Clothing Fair commitee is proud to announce the dates for Second Life’s 4th Annual Clothing Fair benefitting Relay for Life. Events are set to launch on Saturday, March 13th at 3pm slt and run 24/7 through Sunday, March 21, 2010 when the doors must close at 9pm SLT.

The Clothing Fair began as a dream three years ago with 34 stores participating in this event for Relay for Life. Since that date, it has grown to over 150 designers over 9 sims and has raised over 11 million Linden Dollars for RFL.

This year is no different. Prepare to be immersed in 8 of the greatest “Fashion Cities of the World” surrounding a center sim patterned after the UN Sculpture Gardens containing sculptures from some of SL’s most talented artists.

We have some of the cream of the crop coming together in the fashion world of Second Life bringing designs from all over the world to this virtual shopping experience. Each of these designers dedicate months of time getting ready for this event. They are all committed to raising as much money for Relay for Life as possible.

This year we are again inviting the Live Musicians and DJ’s of Second Life to join us. Covering 24/ 7 through-out the fair, fundraising, and letting us all know just what can be found through-out the 9 sims.

RFL Clothing Fair 2010 Flickr Contest

The RFL Fundraising season is now on its way. This gives us an opportunity to have an amazing fundraiser as part of the fair . So…Its time for the 2nd annual Clothing Fair RFL Photo contest!

Category name: RFL exclusive style (both categories: Male and Female)

Goal: Mix and Match the exclusive items available from the RFL-kiosks during RFL Clothing Fair to create a composite style.

Each Item must be purchased from the fair.
The look must include items from at least 3 different designers.
The person must add on the description of the photo the reference of store name and item name for each RFL-item that comprise the final look, so other people can buy them if they wish have the same look.
Theme must be considered in each photo – Theme this year is ” Fashion Cities of the World”
HAVE FUN!
Mix and Match

Prizes will be given to the Best Male and Best Female COMPOSITE. This event is sponsored by the designers of the fair and Glitterati. Each winner will recieve a 5000L gift card to Glitterati and a wonderful gift bag from the designers.

All photos must be PG rated, absolutely NO nudity
May be post processed. We want your best work
Focus of the photo must be a of RFL outfits purchased at the fair
No more then three entries per person

It’s a shameful thing when, due to life and all, little pretties from long time supporters and friends fall victim to the curse that is Second Life(tm) inventory; just because said inventory is big enough to lose GOD and SL has a way of making things disappear when you crash often enough like it had with the Bare Robin booties that dancer Dallagio of Stiletto Moody had sent me!

Deep breaths! Have no fear! I did manage to locate the present, albeit days later and I just have to share it with you… in case you may have been amongst the few caught under that rock and not hear of the grand event!

As many who follow me, inworld or out, may know I’ve got a little thing for shoes. I’m very picky when it comes to my footwear and Stiletto Moody has been a favorite from near the very beginning. As one of the pioneers to bring us the prim feet series of shoes (at least those that got past my uber picky radar), Stiletto Moody only gets better with every new release.

With the smooth leather detailing, the diamond quilting and, of course, the ability to store your presets, can anyone go wrong with a pair of SM’s? I don’t honestly think so. Gifting is available at the main store so… ladies? Gentlemen? I’ve got mine. Time to get your own!

I love New York… It’s a refrain that turns over and over in my head as Dave Casanova of DCNY tickles my fashion fancy with more pieces that can fit as well in SL as they could walking down 42nd Street, or at a Madison Square Garden gala.

Sleek and very NYC, DCNY’s Madelene, in black, epitomizes the urbanesque juxtaposition of business mode and playful sex appeal with the flirty, open button down and fitted mini. I was completely thrilled to add this to my wardrobe… and it comes in a blue, pink and black (shown).

Ah! But the treats don’t stop there!

New York is, of course, the city that never sleeps… and so is SL! That means that a formal could fall into your lap at any time and what better gown to suit than the totally sexy Nedara.

While the front falls in a graceful drape across the shoulders, the sleeves slipping delicately over the the wrist,it was the back that took my breath away. Daringly low and cross laced… They’ll hate to see you go but LOVE to watch you leave!

Still in the process of catching up from my downtime, someone let slip that I might be passable at photographing jewelry. This is the point where I giggle but try my best nevertheless. Again, I hope Sanura Snowpaw of *Dreams* isn’t too miffed that my fried graphics card had me sidelined for an extended time. I’ll try to make it up by sharing these latest treasures with all of you!

Those who know me know that I try to remain a blank canvas, jewelry-wise, for whatever a designer may have in mind. I have to admit, though, that when it comes to those sorts of accessories, I’m a bit of a homegirl; simple hoop earrings, a name chain and, of course, my wedding ring. Sanura, though, gave me a bit of a delight with her series of belly rings ranging from Zodiac (shown) to delicate crosses, open hearts and paw prints; all well crafted and unobtrusive.

Matching the belly rings, are equally well crafted lip rings to give you that little bit of urban edge and pull that look together; both are color change and easily handled for perfect fit. All in all it was a sweet little surprise and one that I’m happy to share. Get out and get yours today!

Celebration time! Finally, my computer is fixed and I can get back into the proverbial saddle to share the goodies that still managed to fall into my lap! Thank you, designers, for your patience while Sager fixed all the nasties in my computer; who’d have thought one could fry a graphics card so easily.

Depending on what part of the country, or what country, you’re in you may have been hit with a monster snow storm like I’ve been here in the north eastern coast. With snow piled up to my knees and winter seeming like it would never end, it was a pleasant surprise to have Applonia Criss of CHANTKARE drop her latest creation into my waiting (albeit lagged at the time) hands.

Always classy, and classic, Spring Affair 2010 is a perfect breath of fresh air to push away the winter chill. You’ll fall head over heels for the large scaled floral print, flattering round-cut neckline and flirty keyhole cut out design in the back. It will make the perfect ensemble to welcome in warmer weather.

My good friend Charmie, owner of Cat’s Cradle and CRAVE, Inc, dropped a cool male outfit on me the other day. They’re unreleased right now, but they should be in her shop in a few days. The set includes a grey/black striped polo shirt with cuffed jeans, skull belt and matching scarf. She knows I love scarves so she fed my scarf lust with another striped sculpty scarf and pair of Emo jeans. Cat’s Cradle offers a huge variety of female and male and even kids baggies, sneakers and tats. Charmie has also designed alot of the costumes we’ve worn in “Dazzlers” for performances. And she’s fast

Next up, check out W&Y for new hair. They have a few male styles, my favorite being the cap/hair. The hat and hair are color change within the menu and the fit was quite good. Make sure you check though when you buy. The price is right at 200L per pack of 4 colors with the fatpack at 450L.

Explosion of the hair creators on Second Life. I logged on to find Tukinowaguma had sent me loads of new male hair. Ok there’s loads of it, seriously. So I’m going to start with a few and over the next few days I’ll add them with other reviews Lots of new dread styles for the Rasta in us all. But I fell in love with the short gelled up “Brii” and “Zkan”. If you can pull it off, definitely try Brii in the gold. Bah even if you don’t think you can pull it off, do it anyway.

Street Glam in Dark Blonde from no.07

I didn’t even get to finish taking photos of these when Aeon Jiminy’s updater sounded the alarm notifying us no.07 addicts of new hair at his shop. Buzzed in the back with mops of hair on top, “Street Glam” was just what I was looking for. Comes in 4 color sets of brown, blonde, red and black and priced at 199L each. Now heads up, no.07 is on an Adult sim, so make sure you are age verified.
