I would suggest that you are also what you think. I don't think it's just me who feels there is just to much nasty, mean, and pointedly propaganda, demeaning news out there. A quick example of this, A 65 year old man comes to his door, finds a black teenager standing there and simply because he has his hand on the screen door shoots him point blank range. What does this man feed his mind everyday? Fox News 24/7. Mostly bigoted, opinion "Entertainment" admitted by the Network. Individuals who have the polished panache of a TV Personality. And the ability to get large following because of a pretty face and nice voice. Yet do not even believe the propaganda they feed their viewers. A constant daily barrage of death, destruction, slanted political banter, dangerous opinion, and no moral issues with the consequences of their actions. A primary motivation of simple greed & money is king.

Some lower level primates cannot seem to realize that by constantly exposing themselves to this they are actually changing the humanity level in their thoughts and actions. So years ago I decided to try and focus on 4 basic things. Love, Generosity, Kindness, &

Beauty. I have found that simply by doing this I have become a better, kinder man. I can disassociate the bad things everyday and take them with a grain of salt. And with fore thought and 30 years of experience have learned to fabricate my own kinda propaganda LoL. That it is OK to love others, it is acceptable to be kind & generous, and that the appreciation of natural beauty can enhance our souls and the human experience. For this I will never apologize, and I urge everyone I come in contact with to emulate the example.

Living In Fear: I have faced what I thought was certain Death 3 times. Been attacked out of the blue for no apparent reason. Have a broken rib, a permanently damaged shoulder, and took a trip through a windshield at 55 mph. Yet I am still here to talk about it. So many in life get jaded, they stop living because they are afraid. I have traveled the country 3 times. Been places few have ever seen. Learned to open my eyes and see. Even at 70 I refuse to live in fear. ............... Learn To Wash It Away 💓

Arrogance: Often times I find, especially with younger men. My precepts and beliefs challenged. At 30 and 40 they know it all. Believing they have a handle on it all, that their solutions are the only ones. Or that they are the only ones to perceive the direction of a society or the world. That what they see is reality, when the facts often times contradict their opinion. They have never awoken to their best friend dead in his bed next door. Lost a child, a parent or even grandparent. They have never gone hungry or suffered homelessness. Never suffered a great calamity. Never been to war. Wordy explanations using words which do not even reflect what the dictionary defines them as. Heady and great sounding sentences which reflect poorly on the ideal of real writing. Never having read the greats of literature, politics, history, or economics. But they know things and damn it all you had better listen. At one time I was such a man. But I outgrew this phase of living. Aged and realized I will never know it all. That what I think and feel is simply an opinion tempered by age. And that all I can really offer is my experiences. The knowledge which I earned from them. And a relation to the immense reading I have done daily and still do. No I cannot think for you, no I might not be able to change your mind. But I toil in the hope that you might one day see my point of view. That I might bring to the table something you have never fathomed or seen before. I have lost the arrogance of youth to think I have the answer, but to propose more questions & "possible" solutions. I have grown to know that what I don't know, forever will exceed what I do know.

Police your comments, yet encourage them. Today’s world is a phone world… encourage 1 or 2 word comments.

Stop looking for perfect world, accept the flaws. And Block the bad guys.

Axioms Of Truth: Sometime I wonder at some of the responses I get to meme. Typically I try to make them share friendly by not embellishing them to much with to many words. Most of the ones I share I find to be self evident truths. Learned over an almost 7 decade life span, years and years of reading and after raising 18 children over time and operating 5 Business's and working at several others. But my thinking today is not the same as it once was. Experience & Life Long Learning, have tempered some things into a form of benevolent kindness. Sometimes realizations of a more spiritual nature. And then the face it realities we all have of a mortal life and an in your face kinda living. With the possibility of death every single day. As an Elderly white guy alone I get lots of assumptions made about me, my thinking, and where I might be coming from. Or assumptions made about my "Value" because I am not driving a Rolls with a chauffer 🤣 . Though truthfully many people prefer my company. I have had large numbers of followers over many years because I try to do 2 basic things. Entertain & Enlighten. And I do it daily for the most part. It is kinda like my second life occupation. I realize that I am far older than some here. And perhaps you look at things like I might have 30 or 40 years ago. Visions of reality are never written in stone. But they do change over time. This is just the nature of life itself. So when you look at simple meme with simple thoughts connected to them. Try to not to put to much "Heavy Thinking" into them. Most are considered basic axioms of simple truth by the majority of people. And like all life truth, not everything fits into a simple equation. These things are offered as a beginning, never an end. And truthfully I hope one day perhaps you will find what I have. The desire and ability to help millions of others see these things. If only for the sake of trying to help create a better world, and better ways of thinking. ❤ -Gary

You became sick and dying, You asked for help, I chose to answer the call. You needed help with simple things that at one time we all take for granted. Perhaps you could no longer wash a dish, clean your clothes, or make a bed. You would look in the mirror and be saddened by what you saw. The once healthy happy person became a shell of what once was. Nothing you can do will stop this process. It is a function of time, and simple living. For some it is faster than others. A product of life style and choices we make. For some those choices were worse, and so is the result. A Day came when you looked at me with a tear in your eye. You told me I will be dying very soon. I must do this and this and this to stay alive and I can't. It just is not in me any longer, It is time to say goodbye. I honored your choice, realizing that at some point in time. I also would be facing my own mortality and making the same choices. I wept that night at the loss of a friend and comrade. Knowing they would not be the last. The following day you took your last breath. They came to claim your body, I sat outside looking off in the distance. I started to cry uncontrollably. So very sad at the loss of someone who grew to mean so much to me. The following day I packed up your things, Some were thrown away. Some kept as a cherished memory. My good bye became complete, and waited for others to come. As my own mortality starts facing me, I see the choices. I see what I want and do not. Preparations are slow but deliberate. It might be a year, perhaps two or even 5. One never knows for certain. The call comes when the fight becomes futile. My only hope is that when it comes, The one Who will be sadly left to put my existence to rest. Will have the same wonderful memories of me. As I did of those I helped lay to rest. I will always love them. ❤

True ❤ : It has to end, you know the self-hatred, collective shaming, disdain for others, repressed trauma, fake positivity, meaningless materialism, the forgotten hearts. We are all tired of these patterns. We are not built to carry them, never were. They pervert and distort us. These emotions are far too heavy for tender hearts. It has to begin, with self-love, collective healing, love for others, and kindness. An honored story with authentic feeling, meaningful purpose and an open heart. We need to learn to surrender these patterns to a deeper love, of self, of other of earth. It’s why we are here. To rejoice in our time together. It’s time to lay down our weapons and welcome every precious human life into our arms like a new born. Every human cradled in compassion and kindness. Each person honored as a true reflection of the Divine. Every human loved like our life depends on it. Because it does. We are lost without each other. It is time to reclaim humanity. I get written to a lot. I sometimes find it hard. It's like people expect something to rub off if I chat with them. The reality is that as a person I am pretty ordinary in my ways. I have had my moments in life, but do not foresee any monuments LoL. My goal has always been pretty simple. Help others see the beauty in living, try to find some happiness in a day. Look for something more in life than an easy chair. Take a tiger by the tail if you will. Many are at home unable to venture out into the world, so I try to bring pieces of it back to them. Create a smile, open a heart & mind. Use what I know how to do to brighten another's day. But I try to never let go. I know when some miss me. ❤ -Gary

A mechanical man was found in a cave. He was created to look like a man. And when activated he seemed to act like one. He could think, talk, relate. Yet he was not a man. Upon self inflection this mechanical man longed to be human. But realizing this was not possible he chose the next best thing. A Leap Of Faith that he was. God has never introduced himself, shook my hand and said hello. But there are things in my life I would call an awakening. Over time and with effort over 20 million people have seen a least a small part of it. I do not know that God, is white, black, green. I do not know if he is a fatherly spirit, or his name was Mohammad. I know only for a fact that millions upon millions over time have needed and sought a higher power to help ease their pain. His name perhaps is far less important than his purpose. To help create a connection, to channel the power of love. To inspire that which is good, kind and loving. To create a spirit of fellowship amongst us all. That we are all equal and all loved. And that mortality can be more than just a quick power ride of compulsive consumption. Joy matters, Love is still the way, Peace means freedom. Caring about everyone can mean a better world. And Faith of any kind is better than the arrogance of total self indulgence. I Love The Earth: It Is My Home, I Adore It's Wonderful Creatures. I want to protect it, cherish it's beauty. Maintain what is and always has been. Yet at the same time I know the nature of man. Some will choose a path which might lead to destruction. It is born of "Self" with little regard to "Others". So I toil knowing that what I do is righteous, loving and giving. I can only change things within the sphere of my reach. I can only hope that others might see what I see. And change the way they do things, or have chosen to do. But as any man, I will die. And the world will take the path which eternity has written for it. I do my best, I hope others will see light in darkness. But in the end I cannot change what will be written. Only do my best in the hope that some will see a glimmer of Hope & Light. And that is good enough. I TRY. And only hope that in time past me others might pick up a banner and carry it forward. Are We All Lost Stars Trying To Light Up The Dark?:

It was 1973, attending Michigan University for my first year. I grew my hair out, studied hard. But partied Friday Nights. Believed in Peace & Love. Started to help fight for equal rights and a different kind of world. Tv was black & white, Music was giant boxes which weighed tons LoL 🙂 . Clothes were tied dye, bell bottoms were in. Concerts were massive. Jobs were good and paid well. Slowly over time women by the millions started to enter the work force. Blacks were slowly given more equality in larger cities. Love was focused on more in many places. Though things always change slowly & with deliberation. They did change some. Millions voiced their opposition to World Wars and the industrial military complex. Electronics took a giant turn with the development of the micro-circuit. Housing started to grow by leaps and bounds. The economy grew at the fastest pace ever in history. The United States grew to be the largest economy in the world. And recognized as a world leader, with morality and honesty at it's core. Ships went from tiny vessels to almost mammoth cities crossing the oceans around the world. Man landed on the moon. Jets started to traverse the skies at super sonic speeds. The world itself grew by leaps and bounds. Every year fewer went hungry and more had homes. And though this seems long ago. The reality is that for many the world is a better place. And though nothing can grow for ever. The dreams of that time are not dead, just different. Hope is eternal, Love still matters. Peace can still be the way. And the world can still be a better place. Never feel like a lost star. You can still make a difference in the world we live in. ❤ -Gary

Hey Mister? : I have a neighbor, she is just 19. Still a teenager really. She found herself as an adult early. She got pregnant with a little boy. Never went to college. And is working as a manager of sorts at a local Taco Bell. She is making a tiny wage really. Less money by two thirds than I made working out of college at part time jobs in the auto industry. But she is managing. Sometimes I try to help her out with a secret grass cut. She had a boyfriend, who I think was the father of her child. He also was a quite young man. And truthfully as a Dad to 18 kids over 35 years not very responsible. They split up, and she came over one day to "check on me". Which I thought was sweet. But what she really wanted was affirmation, that she was still pretty & desirable. I am old enough to be her great grandpa really. But I gave her verbally what she needed to hear. That she still was a beautiful young women and that things would improve with effort, and one man is never the end. I tried to get across the need to improve her work skills and find something better for herself in life. Teens being what they are I think it kinda missed the mark. They always "Know Better", LoL. While we were talking her very young son, maybe 4. Kept trying to talk. But we kinda ignored him and just kept talking. Finally in supreme aggravation he looked at me directly and said very loudly Hey Mister Can I Talk To You?. I looked at him and smiled. I said Yes You Can Sir 🙂 . He told me a few things about his life, and suddenly was content that "He Had Been Heard" and was acknowledged as a sentient human being. It made me realize that young or old all we really want in life is for someone to say, yes I see you. Yes I understand that you have feelings and emotions, and YES YOU MATTER. You have value and are as important in life as I am. It was a simple equation that sometimes most of us miss. It's a function of Love. That I am real and have a need to be heard. Though far removed from being 4 years old. I was handed a wise lesson, even from a child. ❤ -Gary

Perceptions: No one is ever perfect. We can dress one in white robes. But it will not change their true nature. We can learn to use the techniques of reaching a persons mind and soul. But over time the true nature will surface, into moments of time which reveal it to others. From wealthy and powerful preachers, to dynamic politicians who have learned the art of swaying a mind towards their will. Light and sound, color and imagery can be used for good or evil. They say the Anti-Christ will be someone who almost looks and feels like God himself. That millions will follow in his path of anti-righteousness. Men of power often times use the power of emotions and speech to sway millions to unholy and evil actions. So if in life you find yourself seeking, be careful, look at the true nature of the beast. An open heart and mind, are seldom led astray when we use not just our feelings, but also our intellect to find true and genuine meanings.

Don't Let Life Become A Crumpled Board

A Crumpled Board: I have this warped and crumpled board in my bathroom. It was made as a patch for a wall. But time and moisture has caused it to warp and crumple. I removed it to use as a pattern to cut a new one. I have this very old tool box. Full of very heavy tools I used to use when I ran my auto diagnostic business. And occasionally repaired cars & trucks. I decided to put this box on top of the crumpled board. Hoping it's weight would straighten this board to be a better template. It has sat there for at least a week. But every time I lift the box to check to see if the board has straightened it curls up into it's old shape. People sometimes are very similar to this crumpled board. You talk, you plead, you beg. You try to get them to realize their life is their own. That they must do the things in life to make it better, straighter. With fewer curves and bends of misery. Sadly sometimes you realize they are just like this crumpled board. You can spend years, yet their trials and tribulations never end. They never straighten out. They refuse to straighten out of their own accord. And seem to constantly expect others to fix their problems for them. Never taking responsibility for themselves. So eventually most of us throw up our hands give up and walk away. Sanity seems to require this. So when you evaluate your life and what keeps happening to you. Think of a crumpled board. And those who have tried to help. But YOU never straightened out. And they found no choice but to give up and throw you away. Don't allow your life: ..........to become a crumpled board. ❤ -Gary

A Beautiful Room

The Pretty Room: Tis a room full of pretty things, though none ever enter. Antiques, beautiful tables. Ornate light fixtures. Baubles of beauty. Occasionally the owner will walk by the room peek in and think oh how beautiful. There has never been a child's joy in this room. Never a morning Christmas of glee. Never a wonderful conversation between friends. Nary a family gathering of cheer. Not even a drunken evening of loneliness and fear. The front door sits solidly, beautiful in weight. It's stained glass partitions letting in colors of late. Yet no one ever see's them. For 30 years this room has sat empty, sometimes the air a tad stale. And now it's owner has left, forever a bad smell. Don't try to fill your life ...... with beautiful empty rooms. ❤ -Gary

Sad Chats: What do you do?, where do you live?, How old are you?, It's like a job interview for are you my perfect mate. So you play along....then a request. Todays was, I need a man to get me out of my parents house. First came the block button. Then 1/2 hour of sad thoughts. This is the 21rst century. On March 22, 1972, the Equal Rights Amendment is passed by the U.S. Senate and sent to the states for ratification. First proposed by the National Woman's political party in 1923, the Equal Rights Amendment was to provide for the legal equality of the sexes and prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex. That is almost 50 years ago. Equal rights means the right to work, to go to school, to vote. To have ALL THE SAME RIGHTS A MAN DOES. Todays man wants a life partner. Someone willing to be an equal. To share the burdens of an increasingly more difficult life. To be willing to sacrifice for a shared future. To grow as an individual, and be as much a bread earner as a life partner. Not just a woman who will complain when life gets tough. And wants the nearest exit when things are hard. A better life means growing inside of it. Being the best you can be, not the laziest. ❤ -Gary

A Crooked Stove

A Crooked Stove: I wake up many days, decide I am hungry and make breakfast. BUT I have a crooked stove. It irritates me sometimes because I will cook things like eggs which will pool to one side in the pan unless I keep turning it. I have had perfectly level stoves, no stove at all, big stoves little stoves, fancy stoves and cheap ones. I was watching a video of a young man who appeared to live in Asia. Cooking his meal over a fire in a Wok. Blending various vegis, herbs, and small amount of meat to create his own personal delicacy. Smiling and happy because he was going to eat well that day. He had no shoes, was living in the dirt. Poor clothing yet carried a smile. My counter holds this stove so making it level again would be a pain. I accept the irritation. Because after watching this young man, and moments in life when I had no stove at all. I have learned to accept what is, find joy in the moment. And enjoy what I have instead of what I might want. Today both he and I will eat. I turned a button, stuck a clean pot on a clean stove. He had to find firewood, cook in dirty wok, and find the food he was going to eat. I just raided my fridge. We both live in very different worlds, but we both enjoyed our meal. He smiled in adversity I would find almost intolerable. The key is to realize, happiness comes from inside. Take joy in daily life no matter what. Look to the future, and improve it if you can. If not accept what you cannot change. And one day, perhaps you can still be happy with a crooked stove, or a dirty Wok. ❤ -Gary

Every Christian holiday I lose followers because I post religious symbols of belief. But I have never deleted a Buddhist, Jew, Muslim, Jainism, Shinto, Sikhism, Taoism, Wiccan or Zoroastrianism. Because they were not my religion. At the foundation of an earthly life is community. The need to get along and find peace with each other. Even an Atheist or Agnostic can still find harmony if they believe in peace as a fundamental truism of living. And ever lasting life has it's own promise. But while I am here in an earthly capacity. What matters is can we accept each other & each others beliefs and still live in Harmony. That is the precept of life in America.
