The old gang is back together after the success of last year’s “The Force” with a new spot called “The Bark Side” featuring 11 very cute dogs barking “The Imperial March” and one very ridiculous AT-AT. All of the crew at Endless Noise were extremely excited about working on this one with our friends at Deutsch LA. We acted as “Barkestrators” composing and arranging this canine chorus. With Arf Vader leading the pack we may all be headed for The Bark Side…

If you’re a football fan (or have been watching TV at all lately) you’ve probably come across our latest spot for the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid called “One Less Battery.” Endless Noise composed the original score as well as creating the sound design track which was really essential to the commercial’s concept. We got to spend a day on set with Lance Accord capturing all of the funny and frustrating sounds you hear. The commercial may stir up bad memories of your own smoke alarm woes, but we think it’s healthy to laugh about it. Enjoy!

Last month, Endless Noise had the pleasure of working with our friends from McKinney on a PSA for Urban Ministries of Durham (UMD) – a community-based organization that provides resources and services to people in need in the Durham area. McKinney’s campaign to raise homelessness awareness crosses many mediums including print, online and television where Endless Noise was able to lend a hand. The song chosen for the commercial was “The Hill,” composed by Market Irglova from the film “Once.” Irglova granted UMD permission to use the song and it was Endless Noise’s job to re-record and arrange the song to fit the spot, replacing the vocals with a cello (played by our good friend David Low).

The two :30 spots, directed by Johnnie Semerad, are titled “Veteran” and “Family” and were filmed locally in Durham. The commercials use stop-motion animation to depict the bustling streets of Durham. This footage acts as a stark contrast to the tiny motionless figures that the camera zooms in on over the course of the spot which are eventually recognized as a homeless man (“Veteran) or a homeless mother and child (“Family).

We are thrilled that the guys over at McKinney thought to get us involved for such a worthwhile cause and couldn’t be more pleased with the final spot.
