What's this? A new egoeccentric post??

Well, sort of...

Although this site has been long since retired, it continues to sit here in cyberspace- going nowhere soon, merely gathering dust and the occasional crazy comment.

For as long as Blogger keeps it here unarchived, I figure it would be a good idea to leave some forwarding addresses. You know- in case of emergency.

So here's what we'll call the egoeccentric 'Where are they now?' episode.

(b) In fact, I never realised that a lot of these sounds were samples at all.

Clockwork Noise Get Christmassy

Clockwork Noise are headlining The Twisted Pepper tonight, with support from BellaJane, and Biggles Flies Again, AKA Conor from The Gandhis (The Civilians are listed on the poster, but have unfortunately had to pull out).

With the season that's in it, Clockwork Noise have decided to go all festive, and record a Christmas song. The track, a cover of Elvis’ ‘Blue Christmas’, will be given away for free at the gig, along with a super-special-bonus track, all wrapped up and Christmas present-y. Yay.

Things kick off at 8PM, and tickets are €7- gig goers will also get free admission to the awesome Mr. Jones club night which is on afterwards in the Pepper.

Because it would be very 'bah-humbug' of us to deprive non-dublin folk of the chance to hear a christmas song, you can download it here. Go nuts!

yes you did read the title of the post right. Originally, GZA was featured over a remix of the song “Keyboard City” done by The Hood Internet. Now, Dan Deacon took that remix and dissected it into this an awesome blend of Vocoder / electro madness.
This collaboration was inspired by the idea of GZA and Dan Deacon working together and Salvador Santana a platform was set for more original material between the two in the future. GZA first caught wind of Dan Deacon earlier this fall and after a connection via their publicist, Dan ended up taking GZA and Salvador's remix and putting his own twist on it.

If your feeling the need for a more trippier Deacon remix well Dan also made a separate ambient piece of Salvador’s Vocoder line layered 120 times or so with slightly different start times and LFO’s on the panning

BEAK> were formed in January 2009 by three Bristol musicians, Billy Fuller(of Fuzz Against Funk), Matt Williams (of Team Brick) and Geoff Barrow (of Portishead).

The band have very strict guidelines governing the recording and writing process of their work. The music was recorded live in one room with no overdubs or repair, only using edits to create arrangements. All tracks were written over a twelve-day session in SOA Studio’s, Bristol.
