CTVGlobemedia will extend the current contract for The Brandon (Manitoba) Sun to print the Globe and Mail through September of next year. But the Sun will no longer publish the Toronto-based national daily's Manitoba and Saskatchewan edition after that, ending a 25-year business relationship. Sun printing also may move to Winnipeg.

The Daily Times, Wilson, N.C., has replaced analog platemaking with a system based on Southern Lithoplate's Viper 830 thermal plate. Plates are imaged on a Screen 2000LE acquired through Southern Lithoplate in a package that included Presteligence workflow software. The computer-to-plate system was installed in July.
