Why This Matters

Different NLS settings can cause:

Enable Duplicate Page Submissions

This property determines whether a page can be submitted more than once.

• Yes – Enable page to be re-posted
  The page can be submitted multiple times. This means if a user clicks the submit button twice or refreshes the page, the request will be processed again. While this may be acceptable in some scenarios, it carries the risk of duplicate inserts or updates in the database.
• No – Prevent page from being re-posted
  APEX prevents the page from being submitted again once the first submission is complete. This is the recommended setting for most transactional forms, as it ensures data integrity and avoids duplicate records.

Best Practices

• For transactional forms (such as inserting or updating records), always set Enable duplicate page submissions = No.

Note: If you are using Oracle APEX version 24.1 or higher, you can take advantage of this feature by setting Show Processing to ON for the Submit Page action.

1. Go to Install → Viewer Options
2. Add a New Entry with the following values:
   • File Format: Text
   • MIME Type: application/txt
   • Description: Text File
   • Select Allow Native Encoding checkbox
3. Still under System Administrator, navigate to User → Profile
4. Update the profile option Viewer: Application for Text to: Text File
5. Logout and log back in to the EBS application
6. Retest by submitting a concurrent request with text output

To ensure the output is treated as a downloadable file:

• The concurrent program’s output_file_type in fnd_concurrent_programs must be set to 'TEXT' (uppercase).
• If set to 'text' (lowercase), the output may be rendered inline in the browser instead of triggering a download.

If you want the extension of the source file included in the compress file you must include the source file extension also in the filename of compress file. 

• Navigate to “Application Developer” Responsibility and choose the menu Attachments > Document Entities. Identify Document Entity exists or not. If exists then do nothing otherwise create new.
• You can create a new Document Categories or use the existing categories assign to the Oracle Forms (Attachments > Document Categories)
• Setup attachment at Form or Function Level and make sure Enabled checkbox is checked (Attachments > Attachment Functions) 
• Assign categories (ex: Miscellaneous), click button Categories on Attachment Functions Form

• Setup blocks, click button Blocks on Attachment Functions Form. Method can be Allow Change or Query Only. You can secure by Organization, Set of Books and Business Unit, None (No Security). Context will be displayed on the title of form
• Choose the new custom document entities that we have created above (Indirect Item / HDR_ID) and set the primary key for this custom form that will be stored in table FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS, column pk1_value to pk5_value.
• Open the custom form and click Attachments icon, form attachment will be appeared 

We have to define concurrent program with the following parameters:

1. Type (value are Sample or Receipt, using value set independent (ex: “EY_TYPE”))
2. Run_Mode_S (use SQL Statement with value “select ‘S’ from dual where :$FLEX$.EY_TYPE:null in (‘Sample’)“, and the parameter is  not display)
