There are few things in life that are beyond description. Have you ever thought about how amazing it is, that in all of the known universe, our planet is the only one with life? Have you ever thought about how the earth is perfectly positioned to sustain life? The earth is close enough to the sun to keep us warm, but not too close, so that life could not exist, or too far away making it too cold for life to exist.

Genesis 1:16 says “God made two great lights- the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.”

Hi pepz'...omg it's been quiet a long while since I have never been updating my blogs tsk, tsk, tsk...been busy with my online work, it's a actually a home-based online work about pensioners in USA who would like to sell their pensions. I was there for 4 months and was not about to resign until I got a eye strain and astigmatism, geee...never thought that i could resign. I value my health so much that I prefer to rest for awhile and get back soon for another work to apply. :)...anyhow< it"s good to be back again.

5 Leadership Lessons from Former Pres. George Bush

This past week, he was here in Tyler, TX speaking to a large group of people. My wife and I were able to attend, and draw the following nuggets of leadership wisdom from his speech:

1. Lead by example. This is not something he spoke on, but what he didn't speak on. After a wild enthusiast yelled from the crowd, "We need you back, George," he stated simply that it is inappropriate for a former president to criticize a sitting president, so he would not be talking about President Obama. What a great model.

2. "You can't lead without optimism." From day one in the presidency, he talked about his view for America was optimism. He wanted everything, including the rug in the Oval Office, to reflect this. In light of everything this country went through while he was president, I could see why this was so important to him.

3. Make decisions based on principle. I knew this about him already. I didn't know the depth of how this impacted his decisions. He said, "I believe in the Almighty and the gift of God to every man, woman and child is freedom." This was the foundation of his foreign policy. Many people don't agree with this. What I drew from it was that his decisions were based on a principle. My decisions as a leader should be based on something as well. If not, popular opinion will dictate them.

I thought the most telling story of the evening was about September 12, 2001. Sixty years prior to that date, Bush's dad was fighting the Japanese in WWII. But after the Trade Center attacks, on Sept. 12, the Prime Minister of Japan called Bush. In the brief call he let Bush know that the Japanese were close friends with American, and pledged to stand by us as we sought to eradicate these terrorists. Who would have thought 60 years ago that this could ever be the case? Bush believes in freedom for all, and that Iraq could be a democracy in the Middle East. What might that look like in 60 years?

4. Leaders read. He joked with the crowd that most people didn't believe he could read. However, he read often as our president. I read in a different book about him that he and Karl Rove had a competition one year on how many books he could read. I think Bush read a little over 100 in a year, while Rove read around 130.

From there he talked about the fact he read his Bible every day as president. Some days I don't get in God's Word, and I chalk it up because of busyness. Hearing him say this helped put it in perspective for me. If he can read his Bible each day while in office, it shouldn't be too difficult for me to do the same.

5. Know who you are trying to please. When asked about what he thought about people who said he wasn't conservative enough as a president he said, "There is no such thing as an accurate short-term history." To follow up, he said: "And as far as a long-term account, I don't really care. I won't be here." I was fascinated that he came across so secure.

As I lead, I don't want to try to please people, but I want my life and leadership to please God. It is He who I seek to serve. I left the night inspired. Inspired to stand on the Foundation of my decisions, and to boldly lead where He leads me. As my son grows up, I look forward to letting him know why we named him what we did, and the charge for him to lead based on principle, for an audience of One.

5 REASONS WHY YOU DON"T HAVE A DATE ON V-DAY!

When was the last time you had a date on Valentine’s Day? While it’s considered a holiday for women and kryptonite for singles Valentine’s Day should be celebrated no matter who you are. Not as a day to buy gifts and flowers but as a reminder of how much love all of us have in our lives. I’m sorry if you think that’s incredibly cheesy. I’m often asked, “What do you do if you don’t have a date for Valentine’s Day?” The answer: nothing. The dating truth is, you’re not going to do anything differently on Valentine’s Day that your stubborn behind wasn’t willing to do 45 days ago. What many singles insist on doing is taking an inventory of their love life. How did they get here? Dateless and lonely? How have they managed not to have a date, not just on February 14th but every other day of the year? Some singles can’t help but wonder why they don’t have a date on loves’ most celebrated day. Well if you must know, here are a few conclusions I’ve drawn from experience.

It’s not a priority. If you don’t have a date on Valentine’s Day maybe you should admit that it just wasn’t high on your to do list. Some people are last-minute Christmas shoppers, dating is no different. You can spend so much time waiting for the perfect gift to jump out at you all the while the date is ever approaching and you’ve bought nothing. Telling yourself that something is important is not the same as making it a priority. Whatever we focus on in our lives the universe creates. If you harbor and being single, that is how you will stay.

You missed an opportunity. It’s possible that you overlooked someone who was really interested in you. Perhaps you failed to engage them; maybe you convinced yourself that they weren’t flirting with you after all. There are numerous chances singles get to meet potential dates but many fail to seize the moment and take advantage of the occasion. Some might call it obsession but when you’re single keeping an eye out for chance encounters with possible dates is just smart. Speak up, make eye contact with strangers and if your intuition tells you someone might be interested, go with it!

You’ve spent too much time with the wrong person. Often singles don’t listen to their gut. Sometimes they listen to their heart and not their head. Even when we know we should move on some singles waste their time on people who are no good for them. When the relationship goes south or red flags are raised instead of moving on, as we know we should, many singles stay in unhappy relationships making it unlikely that they will find who they’re meant to be with.

You didn’t make an effort. Hot men and women don’t go around knocking on doors asking for dates. When singles are looking for potential partners it takes making an effort not only with your looks but also being outgoing, open-minded and aggressive. You have to set yourself apart from others and stand out in a crowd. I’m not suggesting that you overly pursue every attractive person you see but at least show signs of interest. It’s ok if the feelings aren’t reciprocated. Knowing that you made an effort and didn’t let yourself down trumps the feeling of rejection any day.

You didn’t give yourself a chance. So many single men and women approach dating thinking, “What could this person possibly see in me?” or maybe you’re one of those people who are afraid others will lose interest eventually. It’s common to sabotage ourselves with potential date to avoid, what we think, is inevitable rejection. The truth is, you can never really know what someone else sees in you. You have to believe that once you think someone is amazing they will feel the same. You can never believe that you’re not good enough, which is the exact dialogue that keeps many singles…well, single. While being single on Valentine’s Day might not have been your choice it is your fault? Are you guilty of any of the mentioned behaviors? Well, just be yourself and never lose hope that one you will meet the right person for you.

I felt good today coz' Karen (niece) and I have resumed our walk/jog exercise at the People's Grandstand here in our city. Actually we have started it last October of 2011 but we stopped by December and yesterday February 1, 2011, we decided to do what we love to do. We started by 5:45am and by 6:30 am we hope to finish. I just wanna share the advantages of walking or jogging from the net.

The benefits of exercise 30 minutes a day:

Walking is believed that the systems are one of the best fitness and the benefits of walking 30 minutes a day or only for 15 minutes a day, health to make a big impact on her.

Physical training is an important factor for the general welfare of the human body. You can improve your health and live a better life if you spend some time each day. Studies show that people who lead a physically active life, a much healthier life than those living a sedentary lifestyle. You do not have hours to spend heavily in a gym or working. In fact, you can improve your health and enjoy all the benefits of exercise, then spend 30 minutes a day of training. There are several benefits of exercise 30 minutes a day, the physical, sociological and psychological benefits include. The mutual benefits that relate to the exercise include improved strength, balance, agility, coordination, agility and speed, and bone strength.

Tired but Happy all for ASTIG PINOY

Today (September 19, 2011) starts the beginning of a 2-day Latin dance workshop that Gingoog Sining Foundation has facilitated and sponsored. Each participants paid 200 pesos for the registration. And I'm happy coz' many elementary and high school students have attended the workshop. The proceeds of the seminar will be given to ASTIG PINOY group, who qualifies for the grand finals of the SHOW TIME, an ABS-CBN noontime show. Ten percent of the net income will go to tourism office, twenty percent will be given to Albert Olaer, then the forty percent
will be given to ASTIG PINOY Group for them to use it on the Grand Final Dance contest at SHOWTIME in Manila. Just an update, I know I've written this last September 2011 and the Grand Finals for Showtime was in December 10, 2011...just wanna share that the ASTIG PINOY Group was the grand champion. Indeed they brought pride to the city.

Galatians 5:1~It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Do not allow yourself to slip back into a life that is driven by the expectations of others! In this passage Paul is writing to people who have spent their whole life driven by religious legalism, religious guilt. Even though they have come into the freedom of Jesus Christ, there is the constant pull of the way of thinking they grew up in—a way of thinking that wants to grip their emotions. The constant feeling that the guilt is right, even if I rebel against it. You may have grown up driven by religious guilt too, or maybe it is relational guilt that drives you because of the family environment you grew up in. Yes, the Bible teaches that we have broken God’s moral laws and are legally guilty before God and deserve His judgment. But for believers in Jesus, that legal guilt has been completely removed by Jesus, who took our guilt and died for our sins on the cross. Your Christian life is not about being guilt-driven into a life of religious performance. No! It is about loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Reject any attempts to guilt you into a religious way of life. Instead, just start loving Jesus. His word will show you the way.

Alabaster Jar

Alabaster was very expensive in Bible times, and if a person bought an alabaster box, it was only used for very important purposes. So the Pharisees considered it a waste when a woman poured perfume from an alabaster box on Jesus' head in Matthew 26:7-9. Alabaster historically was a symbol of purity and great honour. It is also thought to have been associated with the Egyptian Goddess Bast (hence alaBASTer). So in some sense, the Woman with the Alabaster Jar may have been associated in the author's mind as connected to ancient forms of worship, particularly of the Goddess. It is significant in this connection that, just before this passage in Luke, the text says 'Wisdom is justified in all her children". Now, the author of Luke would have known what he was referring to as Wisdom ie the Sophia, the Feminine Aspect of God and Bride of Christ. The New Testament, contrary to what most organised Churches will tell you, is full of veiled references to other spiritual cultures - eg Hellenic Alexandrian ones, Egyptian Mysteries ('out of Egypt have I brought my son'), Eleusinian Mysteries (corn and wheat imagery), Zoroastrianism (the Three Wise Men)... So this moment with the Alabaster Jar is very significant in terms of Christ and the Feminine/Sophia. What we are seeing is how, in fact, the Woman with the Jar is much closer in spirit to Christ... The lyrics of this song is just a reflection of what I want in life to offer myself as an alabaster jar, the greatest offering I could ever have is myself and I want to start it giving my whole self by starting my day early through worship in the morning and by praying out loud at least fifteen minutes every day. So dear Lord please strengthen me. I offer myself to you. If God is for me, then who can be against me?

T.W.O. True Worship Offering (Worship Conference)

At exactly 1:20pm I went to Arturo S. Lugod or ASL Gymnasium in Gingoog City to attend a Worship Seminar but it really started at almost 2:45pm and so by the way the speaker is Ptr. Jason Santos, who is a civil engineer and had worked in Australia before he decided to serve the Lord. He shared that he had been diagnosed w/ a cancer of the bones but God talked to him in a dream asking what if God is going to prolong his life, would he be willing to give his life for HIM? He was not able to answer right away. It was in the morning that he decided to say 'yes' and so that began his journey in the Lord. The atheist female doctor told him that he only have 3 months to live so that's why he was scheduled for surgery but when it was about a week for his scheduled operation, the doctor called him and apologized that she was mistaken, that he has no cancer. He also told his doctor that 'I don't think that you were mistaken doctor, it really happened that I have a cancer for me to share to you that God is a God of miracles and HE is my healer. So that became an avenue for his atheist doctor to believe that there is a GOD and since then she became a believer of Christ. Ptr. Jason also shared about becoming a God-seeker, he defines the meaning of seek, and the characteristics of a seeker. He describes that one characteristics of a God-seeker is that he knows what he is looking for, and he can go where others cannot go. Basically, Ptr. Jason spoke about how he met his wife, and what are the places that God leads him to go. It was encouraging to know that if only we are sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and hear the inner voice in us and follow HIM, then God can really work wonders in each of our lives. After that he encouraged everyone to come in front and he prayed for everybody. It is hoped that tomorrow he will discussed about God-chaser. I am interested to listen to God's revelation to me for tomorrow. And he also corrected that Filipino time is 15minutes before the time set. So if the program will start at eight o'clock tomorrow then everybody must be at the gym by 7:45 am. The worship will start at exactly 8Am even if there's only 5 persons. Hmmm, that is good to know and I hope they will start on time tomorrow. That must be a must see!

Life, oh life :) I'm kind of don't know really what to say as I began myself into signing in dating sites such as date in asia and christian cafe. And yes, there were few men who have tried chatting with me, sending emails, winks and interests but as I begin chatting with them, I realized that most men love the sex topic. So with this kind of discovery that I found out, I can't help but think, how can I ever establish a godly, Christ-centered relationship? If even the most so called Christians on the net that I've come to talked with are not acting, saying or displaying a christian character? I just really hope and pray to meet that someone who has a strong foundation in faith and character in Christ. It's my second time of worship at Charismatic Full Gospel Church. Jayram Achacoso, family friend, invited me to fellowship with them and I'm so thankful to receive God's word this Sunday. I went there 8:40Am and good that they have just started their Praise and Worship (PAW). And yes, I soo miss this kind of worship. I can feel the presence of God in the midst of PAW. I can't just help but cry. After the PAW, is the introduction of their guest speaker Ptr. Raymond Carillo from Manila and in his message, his emphasis was on the coming of Christ. God so wanted to strengthen our fellowship with Him. He further said that no one knows when will the Son of God will return and that the world will become worst and worst and that unless the Prince of peace will reign in our hearts there will always be chaos in this world. He encouraged the church to focus on the things eternal not on temporal for our citizenship is in heaven. Also, he reiterated that the church should not worry what to eat or what to drink coz' the Father in Heaven knows what you need. All you need to do is rest in His love and continue to do His will. And if you truly love God you should show it through your deeds. You must be doer of the Word not mere hearers. If you love God, you must obey His commandments. And you can show this by coming to church on time, loving each other even those who hurt you and support & pray your pastor and family. You should let your light shine to all men so that men will praise your father in Heaven. After that, he then made an altar call for those who wanted to be filled by God's presence. Then after that the giving of tithes and offering. I gave my offering then later said goodbye to few friends.

I went home full of hope and strength. Thank you dear God for still you are great in my life. I shall continue to TRUST in you with the HOPE that You begun a good work in me will continue to complete it in me. God is indeed good all the time!

I can't wait to see the result of the daily walk/jog and exercise with my niece, Karen. It's been our 21st day of walking and jogging at the Gingoog City Sports Oval, just a 3-min. walking distance from home. We leave at 5:50 or 6 am then finish by 7 am. Usually we walk for the 1st round then on the second round round we combine the walk with a jog. We walk again on the third round and walk/jog again on the fourth round until such we finished the 10 laps of a 1200 sq. m. oval shaped track. Then we went home, do a 30-40 minute abs exercise then eat Nesvita and Energen cereal/oats drink with biscuit crackers. This is our daily routine from Monday to Friday only. By Saturday and Sunday we rested and do exercise by our own pace.

This is good for me since I already weighed 130 lbs. I never have thought that I could weigh like this big since my height is only 4'11 wahhahaha...I hope to get back my old high school body weigh of 98-110 lbs. :) Is this a mission impossible for me? hahaha I hope not coz' there's nothing impossible with God. I hope to weigh myself by the 30th day of our walk/jog. My goal is at least shed 3-5 lbs of my weight or more for the first month as a start. So wish me all of your best luck but indeed all I need is your prayer that I will be able persevere and be determined to go on and never stop!

2 Day Latin Ballroom Dance Workshop

This coming Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 18-19, 2011, The Gingoog Sining Foundation (GSF) group, will sponsor a 2-day dance workshop in cooperation with the Gingoog City Tourism Office as it is a Tourism Week Celebration. Albert Olaer, trained and worked as a ballroom dance instructor at Malaysia for 2 yrs., will be the one to facilitate and the rest of the Sining members and officers like Roel Pasoquin, Elmer Magalzo, Ronald Villanueva, Arvin Ambal, Marie Jane Tabamo, Verlina Omandam and me will assist him. The said dance workshop is supported by the Department of Education superintendent, Mr. Domingo V. Samson, and that we are expecting 3-5 pairs of both public/private elementary, secondary, college, and teacher participants.

The program has been properly well-coordinated. Ms. Tabamo is in charge of the making of program and diploma, Mr. Villanueva and Mr. Ambal are in charged for Logistics and decoration, Mr. Magalzo is in charged for i.d.'s and tags, Mr. Adran is incharged of the music and sounds. And my assignment is to make the goals and objectives of the dance workshop which has already been submitted at the superintendent's office by the President of the GSF, Roel Pasoquin, Marie Jane Tabamo (V-Pres.) and Joy Mangubat (P.E. Dept. Head of GCNCCHS), also a Sining member. The three of them made an appointment meeting with the schools superintendent of the city.

This is indeed another day to look forward to!

Everyday is a new promise of something to look forward. I am sooo happy today coz' I was able to sign back in to blogger.com. It has been a long long time since I wasn't able to blog. I hope that this time I will be able to write regularly as it is my desire to write almost anything that will come up to my mind esp. the things that made me happy, excited, sad, or alone. Thanks to Karen, my niece, who helped me remember my account name. :))

There has been a lot of happenings in my life that I've sooo misssed to write simply because I totally forgot my username and password. omg! hahaha I wish I could have easily change my password. What took me so long???? hehehe hmmm, well maybe I just don't have the time to explore and made changes on the things that needed to be attended as right as it is. Sometimes, I have this habit that when I wanted to do something but when somehow something went wrong there's a tendency for me to just drop the matter or subject then just have the thought doing it another time and day. And that's what happened to my account here hehehe :0
Oh, how I wish I have never wasted so much of my time on trying to log in and out at blogger.com then actually done nothing at the end of the day coz' I never retrieve my password. I simply lagged. Ouchhh! but I'm just being true to myself.

Well, here I am...another day and a new beginning for me to count on and thrive to do meaningful things in my life. I hope that today, more things will be accomplished.
