Chris Chapman is one of the foundational people in the Seattle swing scene and his Thursday night dance at the Russian Center on Capitol Hill is the longest running weekly swing dance in Seattle!

What with there being so many AMAZING opportunities for us all to attend weekend events locally (Balboa Boot Camps, Camp Jitterbug, Seattle Lindy Exchange) or nationally (Camp Hollywood, The Balboa Rendezvous, ILHC, etc.) or internationally (Herrang Dance Camp, Balboa on the Promenade, Rock That Swing Festival…) we have decided to move our group classes to exclusively weeknights!

Our Friday schedule will remain as it is: Balboa Fundamentals at 6pm, Lindy Hop Fundamentals at 7pm, Beginners Drop-In Lesson at 8:15 (included in evening dance admission) and dance from 8:45 til 1am.

Tuesdays will be the new home for our Beyond the Basics Classes: Balboa Beyond Basics at 8pm and Lindy Hop Beyond Basics at 9pm. The evening dance will start at 9:15 with the usual drop-in lesson and will still run until midnight, featuring Ben White and other local up-and-coming Swing DJs, as well as occasional live music! The Tuesday Classes will also be home to our visiting, different-each-month Featured Follower guest instructor! In March: REBECCA BRIGHTLY!!!

And ALSO: Once a month, the Featured Follower of the Month will be teaching a workshop in the subject their heart desires most… We will also have Weekend Workshops with other teachers and amazing subjects, including Mike Faltesek, Laura Shigemitsu, Solomon Douglas and… Ben White and Peter Flahiff from time to time!
