Look, creating a site or blog is a simple task. Don’t get scared if you are not from technical background. It doesn’t require any prior technical knowledge. Any person having knowledge of internet can create a site or blog.

While starting I was too worried about website creation. Believe me, I am really poor at designing and I wanted stay away from creating site of blog even though I am from technical background. Seems interesting, isn’t it? LOL I was worried and that is why I wasted my lot of time searching for some income source where we don’t need any site. Even I wasted money purchasing one garbage product and finally I realized the real truth: “You have to have your own sites or blog to make a living online. There is no other way to do it.“

Why I am saying This?

You will see lot of products where they claim you don’t need to have any sites. Just don’t give importance to them and follow rule 1. Of course there are ways where you don’t need but those can’t generate passive income.

I believe you are and congratulation on making a great decision. Note that we are going to create Blog, not site actually. Wordpress blog are much more easier than craeting HTML site. With wordpress you don’t need to have any HTML knowledge. It’s as easy as clicking few buttons.

How To Find a Good Niche?

If you are beginner then you might have difficult in understanding what does Niche means. You can refer Wikipedia for this. But in a simple word a niche means the topic of your blog.

Finding a good niche is not really easy and you need to do proper market research before selecting any. If you select wrong niche, chances are you won’t make money at all.

What Is a Good Niche:

1. It should have demand. I mean people should search about this online. In coming tutorial I will tell you how to judge the demand.

2. People should spend money on it.

3. You should be passionate about it and should have some knowledge. However there is one exception here and read below to know more.

Let me elaborate the 3rd point. See, if you are ready to spend few hundred dollar then it is fine if you don’t have knowledge about the niche. You can easily outsource the complete content. But I don’t recommend any beginner to this. Even though you have money, simply avoid this. Start at least one blog of your own choice so that you get better experience. Internet marketing is all about experience and we can learn more and more from our mistakes.

Few Good Niches:

Let me give you some idea of good niches which has been generating money from past and will continue making money. You can think of this as evergreen niche. Few of these are my favorite too

However these are very broad niches and don’t create blog based on this. Select sub niches to create your blog. I will show you how to do that.

1. Health

3. Self-Help
4. Software and Electronics
5. Home Improvement

These are only few and all are broad niches. Now lets have a look at how sub niches can be generated from this.

Broad niche: Health

3 sub niches under Health:

1. Disease 2. Fitness 3. Beauty 4. Wellness

1. Diseases: Now again this is broad niche and you need to analyze it further. Lets see how I do it:

There are different types of disease and people always want to know the best treatment to overcome their disease. Means, there is demand and money and these should be the niche for your blog.

1.1 Arthritis
1.2 Asthma
1.3 Bad Breath
1.4 Bipolar disorder
1.5 Dandruff
1.6 Depression
1.7 Ear Infections
1.8 Eating Disorders
1.9 Eczema
2.0 Erectile dysfunction

And so on… If you do a study, you can find lot of niches on which you can create a site. You can refer this page to find a complete list.

Similarly, let us analyze the second sub niche under Health

2. Fitness

2.1 Reduce Belly Fat
2.2 Reduce Thai Fat
2.3 Get six packs abs
2.4 Build Muscle and so on.

Like this we need to analyze each niche. Once you do it properly, I am sure you will see lot of opportunities.

The above part give you some general idea about good niche. Now let me show you some real ways to find out hot niches:

1. Amazon.com: Check products which have lot of positive review. More positive reviews means, the product is famous. Don’t forget to check out the best selling products

2. Ebay.com: You can also browse Ebay for different niche ideas.

3. ClickBank.com: Here you will get idea about lot of products. Product with gravity above 30 is a good indicator. But not every time though and in my next tutorial you will learn more.

4. Reviews.cnet.com: I hope you already know about this site but did not think to use it for niche research

5. Consumersearch.com: Great website to do market research on physical products

6. Epinions.com: Same as Consumersearch.com

7. Flippa.com: Basically it’s a auction site where people can sale/buy websites or domain. Check out the Auction lists. Definitely you will be able to find sites making money. Why can’t you create a site on same niche and make money? Definitely you can.

8. Different Affiliate Networks such as: MarketHealth.com, MoreNiche.com, Offervault.com etc: You can find more information of various products, niche using these networks. MarketHealth is preety good and it has some really good products.

Why Should You Select a Sub Niche and Why Not a Broad?

Broad niche are not targeted and those are really tough. To make money we actually need targeted traffic, not just any traffic. Means, if I have a site about how to make money online then I want to get only those people interested in making money online. Not those who are searching about Saving Money Tips. You will learn more about targeted traffic in my next tutorial.

I am sorry for the delay. There was an SERP update on 14th October and this update created a lot of problems for me. Before this update I was making $3K+ from ClickBank. But sadly, the update destroyed 60% of my income. From October I have been working so hard to recover my loss. So far 80% is recovered and thought to update my blog. Hopefully everything will be sorted soon.

One big lesson I learned and that is - Never put all your eggs in one basket. Means, don’t invest your everything only in one source. We should try to diversify our source of income. My 90% income was based on Google. I was making money from all those sites which are ranking in top 5 in Google. Only one update vanished my 8 months of hard work. Lot of keywords fall down to #8-#10 which created big loss for me. So, if you are planning seriously, then don’t do like me. Never depend only on one source. Try to diversify income as much as possible.

What Did I Do To Recover?

It was not so easy. I had to spend more than $4K to recover. Initially I worked on my most profitable sites so that my income comes to a manageable point. Invested in another source of income source which should bring at least $2K per month. Practically I diversified my source of income.

I have only one request to you. Don’t be a victim of all those program which promises to make you rich within 48 hours and without any investment. No, it’s not like that. Even day by day it is getting more and more tougher. You can make money online only and only if you take it very seriously like any other business. There is no any short cut, period.

To make money, you have to invest first. Of course there are some ways where you don’t need to invest initially. But those are short term and you can’t dream of a passive income based on them. To be successful you have to have a complete plan.

If you can do any one of above, you can make money. However this is not limited only to those work. I gave only few example of works which you can offer as a service. Basically with services you are helping other people to make money and you are getting a part of it. For example: Initially I used to write lot of articles for my own sites. But now I don’t. I outsource all articles since I can invest article writing cost from my profit. So, my writer is getting some part of my profit.

Where You Can offer Your Service?

There are lot of Freelancing websites where you can bid on any available job. It’s not so easy to get work initially since people hire employee with good reviews. Definitely you need to earn good review of your service. But don’t be negative, be positive always. Try and you can get good work. If you are capable of something, then definitely job is there for you.

The next great place to offer your service is Fiverr.com. Fiverr is a place where people can order any services for $5. I believe I don’t have to write more about Fiverr here. Instead you can directly visit website and check what others are doing.

Follow what others are doing and if you do, I don’t see any reason why you won’t be able to make money.

I have changed Title of 3 of my major sites and I did when all of them were in Top 3 in Google.com. Among these 3, I changed 2 of them 8 months back and recently I changed this blog’s Title. Already you might have noticed that.

Did I Lose Ranking?

Till now I did not lose any rank. It’s ranking even better. Anyway that was the aim of changing Title. I wanted to rank my main domain for one secondary keyword and because of that I added the secondary keyword in Title. But few thing you need to keep in your mind while doing this and they are:

1. Do not change your main keyword for which your domain is ranking. Otherwise your site might lose rank. For example: My this blog’s main keyword is Earn Money Online. I did not wanted to change that since I am #1 in Gogole.com for earn money online. I have added other keyword Make Money Online in my Title.

2. Google display maximum 70 characters from your Title in the SERP. So, try to utilize all those 70 characters using the best and related keywords in Title. Below is one example:

Suppose you want to rank for Make Money Online. So, instead of using only Make Money Online in Title, You can use as below:

If you use Title as above, you can target your domain for various keywords such as:

make money online, how to make money online, make money online fast, make money online from home etc. I hope you got my point.

I do this always with all of my sites and I am getting good result following this approach. While doing this, I usually try to rank for the main keyword first, then for the second and third. Also make sure to use secondary keywords in content as well. This will definitely help you to rank your site better.

3. While building links, use your main keywords in anchor text. Do not vary them initially. I know this is a great point to debate, but I want show you the method that is working well for me. Once your site started to rank for main keyword, give your site sometime to settle down. Then start varying anchor text as 50% primary keyword, 25% second keyword and 25% third keyword. Also track down your result properly. If you notice any ranking drop for the main keyword, then stop varying keyword in anchor text for sometime and use only main keyword in anchor text.

Usually it doesn’t create any problem for an old site if we vary keyword in anchor text while building backlinks. Problem occurs only for new site and you should be careful while building links for any new site.

Actually I have been busy in a project of my own. It’s not yet completed and I am doing my best to complete it within June. During this time I learned a lot and I will share everything in my blog once it’s done.

But today I thought to write a post about why I quit my day job. The reason is simple like many of us and if you have been working in Corporate field, I believe you can already guess the reasons Anyway if you are not interested to know about my story then please skip this post because you may get bore. 1. I was Sad: Like others, I was also having a great dream of doing job in good IT company. For that I completed BCA(Bachelor of Computer Application) and MCA(Master of Computer Application) with 82% of aggregate. Of course 82% is not much but I was happy with my performance. Then College Campus started and only 2 guys from our class got selected in IT companies. Luckily I was one of them

I was very happy being selected and I was thinking I will be able to explore my knowledge to the next level once I start doing job. Days went and I joined to the company in June 30th 2008. There was 1 month training program for us. I did my best to learn as much as possible during training. After the completion of training I was assigned into one project like my other colleagues. Till this everything was moving very well and I was hoping the other coming days will be also very exiting.

Sadly, I was not assigned into a development project. Instead I was assigned into a maintenance based project. What the F**K? I am a technical person, not just to check websites and send the status email to team leader and other members. In that project there was not much technical work. It was involving only checking website status,server status, sending email and managing little technical issue. There was no any development work. What the hell. For this why they need a person like me? Any person who have good English, they can also perform the same thing. There was also no chance of improving my skills. We all freshers were being treated like small kids. LoL

I was surprised to see the very very low quality of knowledge of few person working in the same project. Even people after having experience of 4-5 years. People like who doesn’t know to write a simple Java program, was working in that project. Anyway most of the Indian IT companies has the same story. Most of them are doing Maintenance Based Project. I started searching in Google about how to make money online at all my free time. I spent lot of time searching and  then one day I started my own website. It was just a start. Money came after a lot of struggle.

All those days were very painful for me. The job timing was from 2PM-10PM. Usually I used to reach home at 11PM and from then to morning 5-6 AM I was doing my own work. I used to get up by 12 AM next day, check the emails and then get ready for office again. Of course it was effecting my performance in my job. But who cares! I don’t had intention to continue that job more. Lol..I was just waiting for the right moment. Frankly speaking they are making money from us and not returning us what we deserve. If they think, it’s all about business then let me also think the same. Why they hell I will take my day job from my heart if they don’t?

2. My Marriage: Shocked? Don’t be. After getting the job, my GF was asking me for our marriage. We love each other so much and even there was no problem from both of our family. So, we got married on 14th December 2009.

3. Desire To Be successful: To be successful yet I have to do a lot and I am happy since I am on my way. I already came to know that I won’t be able to be a successful person if I continue the job. So, I had to think about  better alternatives. Please note that success depend on person to person. My success may not be the same with you or vice verse. It is unique for each person. I will think myself successful if I can grow a company of at least 200 members and right now I have only 8 members. You may have higher goal and you may think of growing a Multinational Company. It’s all about our thought.

The Time When I Finally Took Decision…

After may marriage I was continuing the same. But life started to be very tough to maintain both day job and my own work. I was unable to give proper time to my newly married wife. More over till then I was already earning double than my day job. After thinking a lot, I decided to quit the job even though it was not an easy decision. But I was confident. February 28th of 2010 was my last working day. I felt sad since I had good colleagues there. Few are Mohan, Prashant, Arpita, Isha, Dominica. They all are good friend of mine and I missed the time I spent with them. Anyway it’s life. We have to sacrifice something  to get something.

Life After Quitting Day Job:

1. Independent: Yes, now I am independent. I can work whenever I want and how much I want. It’s all depend on me. I am my own BOSS. No one else can fire me from work like other company do during recession time. That
is the thing I hate most in Job. Whenever they want they will hire people and whenever they want they will throw off people like anything.

2. Rewards: The more I work, the more achievement for me. I feel happy when I complete a new project and get the desired result. But it was not same with my job. There was no any rewards or appreciation for good work.
All goes to higher authority people. Look, I am a work-a-holic person and I like to work more. Even sometime I work 48 hours continuously. No sleep for 2 days and I enjoy it since I am doing it for myself. Remember, you can work for yourself more and more and you will enjoy each of the moment.

3. Earning: If I were in job, till now I could have earn $10,000 - $12,000 per year(But while I was at job, I was getting less than this). If you are not from India, then let me tell you that this is a good amount of money in India. But right now I am making around $36,000 - $40,000 per year. I am hoping till the end of this year I will be able to reach $50,000 per year.

Few lines for newbie, for my previous colleagues and to other Indian friend(of course if anybody is interested)

Newbie: I already wrote one blog post regarding this. Please and please remember that there is no magic bullet to online success. One $27 product can’t make you thousands of dollar without hard work. So, don’t waste your money simply purchasing those product. Instead invest your quality time in your work with a goal. It takes time to make money online and it usually take 3 years to rich a six figure income. So, have patience and work on it.

My Previous Colleague and Other Indian Friend: Okay, since we are all from India you may think that making money online is not possible. But I am sure you know about Facebook, Gooogle, Amazon, Ebay. They all are making billions of $$ per year online. You can waste time in Facebook but never try to understand or simply ignore how they are making money.  I can understand that you don’t have interest in making money online. Fine, but you can do something better than your current situation. Create or develop your own software or think about growing one software company. Why you want to waste your knowledge and energy working for someone else?

Don’t feel bad for this. I just want the growth of India and this can be done only and only if every Indian realize their potential and work harder to make India something different. Remember, we can all make our India great. I feel sad knowing that India is still known as Third World Country.

Last Line: Please don’t get me wrong. I am not showing off here and I don’t have any intention to do that. I also have to do a lot still and I am doing it and one day or other day I will make it happen. I am on the way to my success.

In this post I want to share with you about how I managed to rank in Google’s first page within 48 hours. I hope it will be helpful for those who are struggling and unable to rank their site. SEO is not difficult actually. Of course there are so much to learn when we come to SEO and it takes time.

If you have noticed I made my last post on 4th May. I actually work up to late night and I posted in between 11-12 PM on 4th May. Yesterday I was checking Google for my post status and I found that I am already in first page.

Please type in Google as - Magic Article Rewriter Review and you should see my post on 4th or 3rd position. Below is the screen shot:

The above result I got in Google.Com. If you are living in UK then for you it will be Google.co.uk. So, based on your location, position may differ.

Here it is how I did:

1. Onpage Search Engine Optimization: Whenever you are posting anything make sure to do the Onpage SEO very well. There are so many factors and they are as:

Title - Make sure include your keyword in Title. This is the most important factor.

Meta Description - Write description including your main keywords and not more than 150 characters. Even thouhg Meta Description doesn’t help too much in ranking,  yet you can write something attractive including main keyword.

Keywords in the Header Tag - Try to include main keyword and variation of your main keyword in Header tag. In my example I used two sub-keyword in my blog post and they are Magic Article Rewriter Features and Magic Article Rewriter Benefits.

URL - Try to keep the main keyword in the URL. In my example the URL is
http://earnmoneyonlinehub.com/my-reviews/magic-article-rewriter-review. Note that I have used the main keyword in the URL.

2. LSI Keyword (Latent Semantic Indexing): LSI keyword is the keyword that is related to your main keyword. For example - my main keyword is Magic Article Rewriter Review. So, I have used some keywords those are similar to mymain keyword such as - article submitter, article rewriters, Magic Article Rewriter etc. You can find LSI keyword using the Google Keyword Tool.

3. Backlinks: This is the most important factor for ranking. Whenever you are trying to rank, you should see your competitors backlinks first. Find out how many backlinks they have and the quality of their backlinks. If they have less backlinks, then you can easily beat them. There are so many ways to get backlinks.

Basically I did all these above mentioned steps very carefully. Even though I have pointed out the main factors, only these are not enough. Ranking depends on situation. There are some other factors as well such as Domain Age, Domain Backlinks, Page Backlinks etc. Right now I am writing one guide covering the Complete Search Engine Optimization.
