Party for the Planet!

The City of Surrey brought back it's Party for the Planet this year. The headliner was Spirit of the West (whom put on such a good live show!). The other acts were Hannah Georgas, Aidan Knight, George Leach and some others.

Surrey Winterfest 2011

The City of Surrey usually holds an annual event in Surrey Central called Winterfest. It was put off last year for their Olympic Celebration concert series, but they brought it back this year. Hot Hot Heat were the head liners while The Knots, The Latency, Kyprios, and Shaun Verreault of Wide Mouth Mason played.

This is a DIY stop motion music video for the song "Some Will Have To Go" by Vancouver raised, Montreal based canadian pop songwriter Char2d2. The song is taken from her debut EP "Small Vampires" co-produced by Tegan Quin (Tegan & Sara).

the music video is all about the analogy between love and weather, seasons and (time)travelling. it's a never ending cycle.

when making this video i had this quote in mind (can't remember where it's from) "love, it's over when it's ending but it's ending from the start". yet again there is enough surprises around so that the end of one thing will be the soil for the next thing to grown onto. starting all over again. rising phoenix, ashes and all that jazz.

Youth in 57's Battle of the Bands

Youth in 57 held a battle of the bands contest, http://www.y57.ca/events/BOTB.html, on Thursday August 26th at Vancouver's Heritage Hall, that I attended. The bands that were competing where: All the Way, Hello Sir, Ouderkirk, Verspertine and High Life Scenery (whom competed in Youthink's Best BC Teen Band Contest back in May).

When I arrived there around 4:30pm with on the the volunteers from Youth in 57, bands where arriving and setting up and sound checking. So while all that was happening, I walked around and took photos (that didn't really turn out to good, ha). The bands, while waiting for the doors to open, where talking with each other and playing games on their computers while some where getting their instruments ready. There wasn't much to do until the first band got on.

When 6:00 rolled around, the doors finally opened and friends, family and fans started to pour in. The show didn't officially start until 7:00pm, in which the first band came on. The order the five bands had to play in where: Ouderkirk ,Verspertine, Highlife Scenery, Hello Sir and All the Way.

The first band, Ouderkirk, had a nice mellow tone going on with their set that was filled with both fast paced and slow paced songs. Their drummer was even playing with one hand, and did a damn fine job of it! The next band, Verspertine, had a real unique vibe going on with them, which is why I recommend checking them out. They have a show coming up as well. Up after them was Highlife Scenery, who are a pop punk band. They're set was full of energy which got the crowd into the set and filled the venue up with energy. I too recommend checking out these guys, who are up and coming in the Vancouver music scene. They too have a show coming up.

Though, I had to leave after Highlife Scenery, I heard both Hello Sir and All the Way put on great sets.

Surrey's Fusion Fest

Surrey's annual Fusion Fest happen on the 17th, and 18th of June. It was a jam packed weekend filled with acts from cultures from all over the world. It was an awesome weekend, with lots of rad talent and awesome food from all these cultures. This festival can even re-unite bands together, such as the Grapes of Wrath (whom killed it by the way). This festival brought acts such as Arrested Development, Brasstronaut, Grapes of Wrath, Inez, Joey Stylez, Lee Harvey Osmond, Red Eye Empire, We Are the City, and many more! They all played well, and made for an enjoying event. Instead of writing up a bunch of boring text, I'll save you from that and just get straight to the photos!

Canada Day; Surrey Style!

Every year now, Surrey celebrates Canada Day with a large one day festival that has more then 100,000 people pass through each year. The day starts off with children musical acts, to a parade with the Mayor in which leads up to the Mayor and council giving out cup cakes which formed the Canadian Flag. From then, it goes on into acts that appeal to more older audiences as the day goes on, usually ending with a band that appeals to the 30+ crowd.

I was there to cover it this year, for my school and the City of Surrey. It was a long 12 hour day, but it was filled with fun. Around 3:45pm, the first of the two country bands came onto stage. First up was Ridley Bent. While I'm not a country person, I actually enjoyed this guy. He makes some good music. Next up was Jessie Farrell. She wasn't all that bad either, and covered one of my favourite songs too. Van Halen's Jump!

After that, around 5:30pm, Dragonette came on. Now I've heard of her, but never actually listened to her music. One she got on stage, and started to play her music I was stoked. It was some great stuff. Different to my usual listening pleasure. I highly recommend checking her out. Next up was the ever so popular Stereos. They made it HUGE after being on MuchMusic's show DISBAND. Before this band went on stage, the pit in front of the stage got crazy! So many people filled it who were special guests/VIP's that security had to intervene and push them all to one side. You can see almost all of them in the photo below.

Stereos put on a pretty good show, despite me not being a big fan of them. I give them props. I give the nine year old kid props who called out the lead singer of the band, telling him he had a bad voice. If only more people had the same guts as that kid! I think the crowd was the most lively during Stereos set, it was nuts out there!

After them, came the Odds. Now it was my kind of music. These dudes killed it on set. I never actually heard of them until I saw them perform. Then I knew I have heard their music. That seems to be a joke for them, as it happens a lot! If you've ever seen the show Corner Gas (it's a Canadian show), then you've heard their music. They were on a long hiatus before this as well. If you ever get a chance to see them perform on stage, I recommend it. Their set is filled with energy, and they make great music.

Now was for the headliner, Honeymoon Suite. One for the older people, hahah. This band has been around for a long time, and it shows as they are great on stage. Full of energy, and they make good music as well which is always a plus.

Surrey's Canada Day Celebration is one of the biggest in Canada, and is the biggest in Western Canada. They put a TON of work into this event, and I recommend going to it. It's a blast.

Youthink Best BC Teen Band Contest

Saturday, May 1st was the final of Youthink's Best BC Teen Band Contest. The Knots, Split the Silence and High Life Scenery all battled it out with a 4 song set composed of 1 Canadian cover songs, the song they submitted to the contest, and two new original songs. They battled it out for judges, who are in the music industry currently.

The day started out for these bands with them showing up early for a meet and greet with music industry people of all sorts from Production companies, to LiveNation, and getting in an before set interview with a Youthink Student Reporter. They got to learn a bit about the industry and what may be in the future for them from chatting with these industry professionals, and learning a thing or two what an interview may hold for them. Then as the day progressed from this, family members, friends and fans started to pour into the venue, which was Tom Lee's Music Hall on Granville Street in Vancouver.

The more people that came in, the closer the show arose for these bands, which they would be playing one of their most important sets of their life. The bands rushed backstage, into the worlds smallest dressing room that could barely hold one band in there. Then, the house lights dimmed, stage lights came on and the MC (Shaun from Wide Mouth Mason) came onto the stage to discuss what is happening and what the bands would be competing for. He left the stage, and Split the Silence took it in full force.

They performed their hearts out, and put on a killer set. They covered Arcade Fire's song, "Wake Up" but with their own added twist to it. Slayed that song. Their other songs where also great, and were about many things like the bass player's girlfriend from Grade 9. He wasn't all that happy with the mention about it, which made for a laugh! Their set ended and High Life Scenery took the stage.

These guys won the online part of this contest, which was fan voted. It showed in the audience as well, with how many fans that tagged along to show up for them! In their set, they covered K' naan's song " Wavin Flag" and although a few vocal notes got a bit mixed up, they fought through it and ended their set with the next song that got the crowed pumped up for the rest of the show and the last band, the Knots!

The Knots, whom are an indie-alternative band, are from Burnaby. They opened their set with an Arkells cover song, which was "Deadlines" and then went on to play their most valuable set as a band for them currently. They also made it clear that their set was all about the music, and not the contest, which is what it would be all about. The music! They finished their set, and left the stage as then everyone had to wait with anticipation for who would be the first winner of Youthink's Best BC Teen Band.

All these bands absolutely played great, and I think will have great success in the future with their music! Congrats to the Knots on the win.

Balconies Interview

Lets get this started by asking, how are you?

Great! We’ve been enjoying our time in Vancouver. We went bowling last night with some friends. Today, we worked on some new songs! Yay!

Who are some of your musical influences?
Growing up Steve and I listened to what our parents were listening to – Tom Waits, Alice Cooper, Dr. Hook, The Beatles, Supertramp, Beach Boys, ABBA, Jackson 5... Our grandparents also encouraged us to listen to a lot of classical music since we were studying classical instruments – they were always buying us new records they thought we’d appreciate (which we did). Both Liam and I ventured into punk music when we were teenagers: Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Specials etc…

What are some current bands you are into?
Zeus, The Golden Dogs, Bahamas, Beach House, Dirty Projectors, Leif Vollebekk, Parlovr, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fleet Foxes, Owen Pallet, Yukon Blonde, Dinosaur Bones, Sandman Viper Command…but we’re still listening to a lot of classic music…as listed above…

What about Canadian ones?
see above…most of them are!

Since you played at Canadian Music Week, what was that experience like?
Exciting! It was really cool sharing the stage with so many other amazing musicians especially at the Horseshoe tavern. We felt really fortunate to be on such a great bill.

What got you into music?
When I was four years old I saw a girl playing violin on Sesame Street and I was in complete awe of the instrument. I bugged my parents for years to get me a violin. They couldn’t afford to get me one at the time so I would strut around the house with a coat hanger and a stick pretending I was playing violin. Finally, when I was six my parents found a second hand violin and enrolled me in lessons and I haven’t looked back! Growing up, my dad was always writing and listening to music - he’d play piano, guitar and sing a lot at home so he is definitely my primary musical inspiration. When I was 13 my family moved out to the country, about 30 minutes outside of Ottawa. Because there wasn’t much else to do, I picked up the guitar and started teaching myself. Once I learned a couple of chords, I started songwriting, which really helped me find my voice, and made being a teenager much easier to deal with.

What inspires you to make music?

Listening to a good record or watching a good movie inspires me to create more music. For me, writing music is like therapy and it’s a release for built up energy, thoughts and emotions. Working with Liam and Steve definitely encourages me to continue improving as a guitarist and songwriter. I also feed off people’s energy and since I love people watching – I often create scenarios up in my head about them and then write about it…

What is the best thing about touring? The worst?
I never really have to feel homesick because I have my brother and boyfriend on the road with me. I miss my bed, friends and parents.

In the next 5-10 years, where do you see the Balconies?
Hopefully, no more day jobs! Busy touring the world with at least four albums under our belt.

What are some challenges you face as a band?
Trying to balance between having day jobs and still having time to be creative and tour. It’s a definite challenge to be funding all the bands expenses including our personal ones. Dealing with unexpected expenses such as van repairs can also make it hard to keep up. But somehow, we always find a way because we know it’s all worth it.

Outside of music, what are you into?
I love learning new languages I speak French, German and Italian. Crafts, reading, art galleries, photography, movies, eating good food. We all love biking and skiing/snowboarding. We are also into meeting new people.

How would you describe your bands sound?
High-energy, up-beat rock music that combines classic guitar tones with solid driving danceable beats and hooky bass lines. We put a strong emphasis on powerful delivery and three part vocal harmonies.

How do you think social media sites (Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, etc), and the rest of the internet help new artists with getting more known?
Everything is so much more accessible now and music/information is at our fingertips. It’s definitely much easier to promote yourself since you can reach so many people so quickly.

When you played your first ever show, were you nervous and what kind of fears came with playing your first show and how did you overcome them?
Our first show together was really exciting. We weren’t necessarily nervous, since we all had several years of performance experience with other bands. We all felt comfortable on stage and the first show really made us feel that this was the beginning of something special.

What do you hope people will take away with them when they hear your music or see your live show?
We want people to feel good – to have fun and feel involved in our music. We strive to make our live shows as action packed as possible.

If you were to give advice to bands that are just starting to play shows and open for other acts and that, what advice would you give?
Be prepared to work hard.

Jonsi April 2nd- Vancouver

Jonsi (of Sigur Ros) started off his tour for his new album 'Go' (which is wicked), with two dates in Vancouver.

The show was magical. The only downfall I had was that I had to wait in the rain for a good 40 minutes due to my ticket not being at will call when I showed up. At 8:00pm, the opening act went on. He was not that great, but he wasn't super bad either. Right at 9:00pm though, Jonsi took the stage. It was just him and his guitar during the first song, which was 'Stars in Still Water.' After that, the rest of his band took the stage along side with him.

Jonsi sung his heart out with his beautiful vocals, which awed the crowd. Mixed in with the beautiful voice and words of Jonsi, was an amazing backdrop that mixed with the most incredible visuals for a show I have seen. It was a story, that followed very closely along with the story Jonsi was singing through out his set. 59 Productions did an incredible job at creating this.

Paper Routes/Lights/Owl City Vancouver Show!

Friday was a wicked night. It was the night of the Lights/Owl City concert. A show that sold out so fast, I couldn't actually buy a ticket. Thanks to Paper Route's rad management though, I managed to secure a ticket and a photo pass and watch the epicness get put down! I also made some rad new friends this night as well. Lights fans are some of the raddest people ever!

Thanks to them, they secured me a spot right at the front of the longggggggg line up as well so I would be guaranteed a wicked seat in the GA area (thanks Mike!). Once the time reached 6pm, the line up went nuts as the doors opened and people rushed in to get through security so they can get a good seat, ha. Thankfully I did not get crushed, nor my camera gear get hurt. I finally got in, and managed to secure a spot right at the front. Front, right to be exact.

Once 7pm hit, and the lights dimmed, the crowd went wild (okay not super wild, but they were real excited)! Paper Route hit the stage. This band was so, so good live. I'm going to be honest that I never really heard much of their music, but after their set, I wanted to go and buy their CD. I realized I had no money, so I couldn't (Bestbuy/HMV/Future Shop, here I come)! Seriously, everyone needs to check out Paper Route as they are so good. I just wish the lighting for their set was slightly better for my photos. Oh well.

After the set break, it was Lights time to shine and she shone bright! Even though Owl City was the headliner of the show, I think that the majority of the crowd was there for Lights. As soon as she stepped on stage, the crowd went nuts. Way louder then for Owl City. Right before she played Pretend (Reprise), she asked the crowd to name her piano/keyboard which is one that she rarely gets to use and was the one that helped her start it all! The crowd named it, Vancouver! She also covered Phil Collin's song "In the Air Tonight" and did it beautifully. When she 'finished' her site, the crowd went nuts for an encore. She did, and played Drive My Soul. Her keytar had a malfunction during mid set, and they replaced it with another one, but that one didn't work either cause of no batteries! Hahah. They fixed it for the encore though. Her set was wonderful, and I can't wait for her to come through Vancouver again and have another rad time.

Now, it was time for Owl City. I'm going to be honest here, and say I'm not that big of a fan of him. Well, I came in expecting him to not be all that great. He proved me wrong, very wrong. His set was full of energy, and it sounded great! He had some cool lighting go on in the background as well. When he played Fireflies, the crowd went nuts and started to sing along to every word. It was awesome. I'm not all that familiar with his songs so I can't really say which ones he played when, but for the encore he played "Hello Seattle", but changed up the words, so he sang "Hello Vancouver." Though he made that change midway through the song.

State of Shock Interview (Alley)

Let’s start things off by asking how are you?

I'm doing great, in need of a shower though.

How did you know music was your thing and that you should pursue it further?

I just loved it, as long as I can remember, always wanted to learn new instruments.

What was the first bass you got?

It was a Fender Prophecy; it actually got stolen from a show last summer in Brandon Manitoba. My least valuable bass, but the one most important to me. I was just gunna retire it too, so that it would be safe at home. That crushed me, but hopefully some little kid has it now and will put it to good use.

What got you into playing the bass?

I actually started out as a guitar player, but back then it was tough to find a band that wanted a chick guitarist, so I saw an add in the paper that was looking for a girl bass player and gave it a shot. It stuck.

What are your musical influences?

That’s a really tough question, I think my taste in music is quite broad, but initially I was really into metal, then punk rock.

What bands did you grow up listening too?

Metallica, Slayer, Primus, Janes Addiction, Dead Kennedy’s. That’ll give you the idea, hahaha.

If you never got into music, what would you think you would be doing?

Roller Derby!!! But who knows, what you’d like to do and what you end up doing aren’t always the same thing.

What is one item you need to have with you on tour?

My Mac, I love video games and movies.

What was it like playing your first live show and what kind of things did you have to overcome, like fears/nervousness?

My first show was a bit painful and exciting at the same time. I had just joined the band, so didn’t really know the songs yet, I winged it. But I was super jacked. It was my third band “Another Joe” that brought on all the nerves, because I actually cared about it. I was proud of that band and was invested in it. It was my only other serious band other than Shock. But that’s were I learned not be concerned with failure, have fun and put on a great show, cause in the end that’s all that matters.

What is it like winning an award for your music?

It’s pretty exciting, to be recognized for all your hard work. We feel very fortunate. Especially when you really don’t expect it, then you’re all marbles marbles marbles.

Have any ‘wild’ tour stories?

There are soooo many stories, but what am I aloud to say? Lol. . On our last trip to Halifax, before we got on the plane, Jesse posted on Craigslist that there was a 50 inch flat screen and children’s toys for FREE. He then listen Kadooh’s name and number as the contact. By the time our plane landed at the first lay over Kadooh had 70 voicemails. And it didn’t stop all day.

2 summers ago I broke my ribs while wrestling on the tour bus, we still had a week of shows left to do, so our tour manager had to load me up with a bottle of wine before each set so I could make it through. I thought I played awesome, hahaha, pulling off all the sweetest “matrix” style moves, but really I think the ground was just moving cause I had to be so smashed. If you’ve ever broken your ribs you’d know that it’s hard enough to breath, never mind sing.

When not playing music, or on tour, what stuff do you enjoy doing?

Long walks on the beach….. Haha, I guess all the normal stuff. Its funny, when we’re off tour the band hangs out a lot socially. So not much is really different. I do love to cook though, if it was up to me id have friends over for dinner every day.

What are some challenges being the only female in State of Shock?

Having 4 big brothers, hahaha, but, in the same sense it’s a good thing, I’m the safest chick around. I don’t think there are many challenges, there are the obvious differences between men and woman, but in the end we’re a family so there is a definitely a high level of acceptance. We all see each others good, bad, ugly and beautiful. There’s nowhere to hide, its liberating. But I think if I was the type of girl that was maybe not confident or pre-occupied with impressing men, things would be a lot different.

What is one thing you wish you were really good at?

I really wish I’d learned how to play the piano, I hope to take lessons one day.

What was it like seeing your CD for the first time for sale in a store like HMV, etc?

Awesome and it still is. The only difference now is realizing that having your record in a store doesn’t mean you’ve made it. There’s so much more to it. I miss the simplicity.

What is in your pocket(s) right now?

I’m actually in my bath robe… so no pockets?

What is one of your favourite cities to play in?

There’s so many different ways to answer that, but, I do love playing at home in Vancouver, you get to see all your family and friends.

Do you think the internet, and sites like MySpace and Twitter helps out new artists with gaining exposure and showing off their music to other people?

Absolutely. So many artists are discovered that way now.

How is the new album shaping out, and sounding?

We’re all very excited about this next record. Its coming along awesome, have had some great feedback and we can’t wait to get it out there and start touring again. There have been many new stories for us to tell about our lives over the last few years, the new songs cover a lot of them.

What advice would you give for people starting new bands or making new music?

Do it because you love it. It’s not easy. The best advice we ever got was that “nobody care’s”. I know that sounds harsh, but as soon as you realize that and take matters into your own hands, you’ll be better for it.

Airboure's No Guts, No Glory Album Review

Far away from top 40 songs, Airbourne’s album delivers with a hard rock punch.

With three albums and big tours with big name acts under their belt, Airbourne release their forth full-length album “No Guts, No Glory”, that holds nothing back amidst the heavily filtered music industry. They use things that are missing from the top 40 play lists to their advantage, such as guitar solos, like in the song “Get Busy Livin'”. Although their lyrics are simple, such as in “Back on the Bottle”, they are catchy. It is a thirteen album track that is a must listen for any hard rock fan.

Against Me! and Cancer Bats

Before embarking on the Billy Talent Canadian tour, which Alexisonfire is also on the line up, Against Me! and Cancer Bats played a one off show in Vancouver on March 2nd at the Rickshaw Theatre. I finally got to see these two bands, which I was stoked on. After both of them coming through here before, I could not see them due to the shows being 19+, but they came and played together! Haha. This was also my first true punk show that I have been too. I was a little scared at first of going, but I should not have been. It was wicked.

First was before Cancer Bats was this band named Jaguar Love. I was not really fond of them, due to mixing electronica with hardcore/screamo music. Wasn't a good mix Plus the entire crowd being a bunch of douches yelling through out the set saying get off the stage, queer. That was not helping the cause. Though, I do give the lead singer of that band respect for calling out the main person making all these gestures.

After their set was a 15 minute break while the Cancer Bats set up. The energy in the building was growing, quickly might I add. Cancer Bats came on the stage, and opened their set with Hail Destroyer. Once they did that, the crowd exploded! I have never witnessed people explode into head banging and into a mosh pit so quickly from being so tame during the first band. It was wicked to watch. They also played their Beastie Boys- Sabotage cover and a new song from their newest album "Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones" (which is suppose to be released on April 12th, 2010). Next up was the eagerly awaited set from Against Me!

The time between Cancer Bats set, and Against Me!'s set was long. Well, not that long but like 30 minutes long, haha. They finally came on though, and the crowd went wild, for the second time! While I only stayed for 4 songs, it was well worth it. What I heard was so good live. They played New Wave, and Cliché Guevara. The other two songs, well they are just a blur in my head as I don't remember the names. Trying to fight my way out of the crowd though, that was hard until one guy helped me out of there! Thanks for that, haha. I would have stayed the full set if I didn't have to rely on my parents for getting me home (ha!). Against Me! has a new CD coming out soon, which I totally recommend everyone getting. The album is titled White Crosses, with a release date that I do not know of. Thanks again to Against Me!'s manager Tiffany for all your help!

Wintersleep, Hey Rosetta, You Say Party, We Say Die! and Tokyo Police Club

This day (Feb 27th) was the last day of the event that I went to, and it had the raddest line up of them all.

Hey Rosetta was on first, and they are a rad band that seems to always get air time on CBC's Radio 3 (where I first heard of them). They also were nominated for the 2009 Polaris Awards, but lost to Fucked Up. These guys took the stage strong, and put on a wicked set. The crowd, albeit small, was really feeling it, it seems and were pumped! The rain held back no one from having an exciting time. Recommend anyone to go and see this band, and check out their music.

Next up was You Say Party, We Say Die!, whom I found out about through Tegan and Sara on their twitter. Haha. These guys are great. They are different, but have their own unique style of music and performing on stage which makes them rad. The rain started to rain harder during this set, but that didn't hold the crowd back from unleashing energy and have a mini mosh pit form in the middle. I don't have much to say about their set as I'll let the photos do the talking.

After them was Tokyo Police Club. Though I have not listened to their music much (which is a shame on my part), they make great music. Their live show is stellar as well. I'm just so bad at remembering song names and what they played, but I know they played their hits as I remember that. To all who have not heard this band before, check them out!

Now, the band that I have been really waiting for to see, especially after doing an interview with Tim. Wintersleep. Last time they came through I couldn't see them as it was a 19+ venue, which was a bummer. Now though, I had my chance. This band is wicked live. They played songs like Orca, to new ones off their album which will be out soon. It is called New Inheritors, and you all should pick it up and support this kick ass band!

With that and this place now finally closed and all of this has come to an end, I want to say thanks to all of the volunteers for helping out here and be super nice and rad. I want to say thank you to the Mayor and council for putting this event on. It was well worth it, and I hope the city continues with fun little festivals like this with rad music. My last thank you is going out to the security people here. You were all so rad and nice when it came to helping other people, and especially me out. Thanks for keeping me safe, especially from crowd surfers in the photo pit and thanks for keeping me entertained when bands were not playing, haha.

illScarlet and Marianas Trench

On Friday the 26th of February, it was illScarlet and Marianas Trench that took a hold of the Surrey Celebration Stage at the Surrey Celebration Site.

Originally on this day I was suppose to see/shot Inward Eye, but there was a last minute schedule change because of the Canada vs. Slovakia hockey game. Which I was fine with as we won! But right after the game illScarlet came one. I have seen these guys live once, when they opened up for Blink-182. They were great then, and they were as great, if not better now! The crowd was a lively one here, which was great. The energy was high as well, and the lead guitarist had the raddest hair that made for rad photos.

After their set, Marianas Trench came on. Before they came on though, I ended up talking with a security guard and he said that little girls have been waiting since 6pm for the band (they played at 10pm)! That is nuts! A mosh pit was forming, well not really a mosh pit just a tight crowd, but little girls were getting pulled out as some had injuries. Some bad enough to seek first aid! I have never seen so many little girls (13-16) in one area in my life! Once 10pm rolled around and the band took the stage, the crowd erupted and bras were flying onto the stage. I still don't understand the point of doing it... While I am not a fan of this band, they do put on a decent show. There is not much to report on, as I left after 3 songs, so I'll leave you with photos!
