One thing I haven’t tried yet, only because I feel like I am so stuffy I would choke, is a neti pot. Waterpik sent me this one (how did they know?!?). I am going to give it a try, but I am telling you right now – I can’t even put my face under the shower for fear I will get water up my nose – and you want me to WILLINGLY put water up there?

Have you tried a neti pot? Does it help? Do you have any other home remedies for my misery? Yes, I know, it’s just a cold, but it’s no fun having an empty house for 3 hours a day when you spend it curled up with a box of tissues…

Wait – that was my dream last night. But I am headed to Hollywood this weekend to sit in the red carpet bleachers at the emmys, courtesy of Duncan Hines. They are the official dessert sponsor of the Governor’s Ball this year, and they had a contest to create a cupcake to be served at nominees reception, and a delicious-looking red velvet cupcake won. I am so excited to see the Emmy red carpet. You see the beautiful women and the GORGEOUS gowns on TV, but I can imagine they are even MORE beautiful in person! I love to see all the behind-the-scenes goings-on too, so I am sure I will be trying to look 50 different ways at the same time…

 Ok, we can be friends, but I won’t stop bugging you to watch it…just the clothing and set design alone is reason enough to watch.

I’m adding this post to “Sweet Shot Tuesday” on My 3 Boybarians -

Tonight we’re off to our next adventure – the boys first ever baseball game!

I decided to take a semi-retirement from design this summer, so I could take care of my oh so neglected house, and more importantly to enjoy my last summer with my boys before they are BOTH in school (wah!!) . I am actually looking forward to spending lots of time at the library, the park, and in the backyard. We are getting a little pool, shmancy new beach towels and lots of popsicles…do you need anything else?

I am going to try something different this summer, and I hope it will get my blogging mojo revved up again – I won’t promise anything, cause you know how that works…

PS – I PROMISE I will post about THE cutest pillow in the world soon – how can I not???

I feel like every time I post I am explaining why I haven’t been here, and I know you all are as busy as I am, and trust me I have MANY conversations with you in between posts – I think of things to write like:

Ooh, I should give a caring for curly hair tutorial (while in the shower)

Or

Mmm…this dinner would look yummy on the blog (while snarfing food at the coffee table between client chats)

Or

I should share this picture on my blog! (while I hopelessly search for the cord that connects the camera to the pc)

I still have to tell you about the LA mom Bloggers Brunch (SO much fun!), and a few local bloggy events coming up and oh yeah I get to do a mad experiment with a MOP (bwa-ha-ha-ha)

One thing I HAVE been remembering to do is stop and smell the roses…

How can I not stop when these beauties are a foot outside my door, practically begging to be enjoyed??
