The Jedi are characters in the Star Wars universe and the series’ main protagonists. They use a quasi-telekinetic power, known as the Force, and weapons, known as lightsabers, which emit a controlled energy flow in the shape of a sword, to serve and protect their Republic and the whole galaxy from conflict or government instability. They sometimes moderate peace negotiations between planets and, if necessary, use their formidable fighting skills to quickly end unrest. The Jedi are led by a Council of 12 members consisting of the most powerful and wise members of the order. The Jedi are bound to a code of morality and justice and are trained in the use of the light side of the force but not the Dark side.

Guilty as charged!

I got dropped off at Dash’s place on Saturday night because our hoomans decided to go out without us! So while Dash and I were sitting on the sofa together, minding our own business, behaving like picture-book dogs, watching the Tour de France on TV something moved in the hallway… That awakened our guard-dog instincts straight away and we, brave as we are, went to check it out! It was the “door-sausage” that had suddenly turned into a snake that was about to open the door for another intruder. The case was clear! We could not let that happen! Together we faced the enemy and exterminated it. All in the name of protecting our hoomans property with our lifes. WE ARE 2 REALLY GOOD DOGGIES!!!!

Although we are not entirely sure why my people were laughing at the sight of the battlefield?!

PS: The doggie bed and pillows were moved into the hallway to continue the nights watch a little more comfortable, now that we were missing out on the tour de France.

PS from Tealc’s hooman: Usually the doggies stay outside when they are together but it was just too cold on Saturday. Well, cold for Aussie dogs anyway. We went for a 5 hour walk with Teal’c and Dash was cycling with her person during the day so we really thought those 2 doggies would be far too tired to do any damage… Well, never underestimate 2 Staffies and an attacking “door-saussage”!!! Not sure if that is the English word. I mean those thingies you put by the door to stop the cold air from getting in. When my husband and I came to Dash’s place to pick Teal’c up we couldn’t help but laughing at the sight. We decided to get rid of all the evidence and make it look as if nothing had happened before Dash’s family came home. It worked! After 20 min it was all gone and Dash was allowed to sleep in the bedroom this very night because she has been such a good dog, all on her own for so long and no damage! Until her hooman got an MMS at 11 AM…

What is worse then going to the V-E-T?

Going to the V-E-T when you actually aren’t sick We went to see Anne Fawcett (still the best V-E-T in town) at Sydney Animal Hospitals yesterday because I was due for my vaccinations. Guys I tell you – vaccination: all good! Getting my temperature again?! NOT FUNNY! I tried to make a run for it but there was just no escape. Sigh. But anyways the verdict was that I’m all healthy, in a good shape, at the right weight and incredible handsome! Full score. Me happy.

Fresh food for dogs or Schort Trip?! Without me?!

I feed fresh. Fresh meat and fresh veggies. And I think it is easy… So when we decided to get out of the big city for a few days, without Master Teal’c I just opened the fridge and turned everything veggie-like that wouldn’t have survived the 4 days into a mash. Why a mash?! Because dogs can’t digest cellulose and feeding them big pieces doesn’t do them any good – it comes out the same way it got in – undigested, vitamins wasted… So what was on the menu?

Carrots, pear, radish, chickpeas, avocado, linseeds and apple. I wasn’t there to watch it but apparently the puppies loved it – mixed under their mince, decorated with some chicken necks and fresh bones: perfect dinner for dogs! :)

That’s what hoomans seem to call it… Schort trip! PAH! Without me… Quality time – blabla… How can it be quality time without me? And why am I not allowed on those flying machines??? Hmpf!

It all started with my mom using everything she found in the fridge to pre-prepare my dinners. So I got woken up from my morning snooze by dinner-sounds. Cutting and blending. I went downstairs for a bit of a cute look and beg but I didn’t get anything. That made me suspicious! I’m not easily tricked. Even though my hoomans tried to behave as if it was a normal day and didn’t pack before they had dropped me off at Dash’s house I could feel there was something going on! Well – and the moment we went for walkies with my doggie bed it was kinda clear – something was going on! I would be left behind…

Ok – enough crying here! I had fun! I stayed for 3 days at my girlfriends house and I enjoyed myself. 24 hour doggie company is cool… As much as I love my people they kind of don’t play with me as much as Dash does. So a big thanks you and slobbery kiss to Dash and Dash mom!!!! xxxxxxx

Little Miss Independence

Happy Birthday Dash!!!!! 4th of July… No other date would suit her better! My hooman actually promised me to design a nice card I can give to my favourite girlfriend and one for my bloggie-friend El’bow but as usual – no time! But she told me she will try and do it next weekend.

Anyway – I had a great weekend! We went to Dash’s place for her Birthday party. There was me, Dash and lots of hoomans… Not a real doggie-party hey?! Well the reason is that Dash isn’t as good with other dogs. She only loves me and one other Staffy guy. But guess what – I DON’T LIKE HIM! Me, who gets on with all the doggies in the park… I think I’m allowed to dislike one doggie. The one my girlfriend kinda is in looooooooove too when I’m not around. Fair enough – me thinks!

So the hoomans had Glühwein (German winter thing – spiced hot red wine) and we had doggie cupcakes! YEAH! My hooman say that she will post the recipe in one of the next posts.

I think you shouldn’t give your dogs shoes to play with. It only teaches them bad habits… But come on, a pink high heel for the princess!? How could I resist?!

Tealc’s hooman here! I almost forgot about those pictures but I think they are well worth posting. When we went away we rented quite a big holiday house. There is no such thing as a 2 people holiday house in Australia. They are all made for rather big families and sleep at least 6 people. The one we stayed in last time was for 6 adults and 2 kids. Perfect for us – 2 adults and 2 fury kids … The first thing I did was to close all the doors to the rooms we wouldn’t need. That included the kids bedroom as I thought the dogs would be more than happy with the huge sofa.

So when I got up the first morning I was wondering why the kids bedroom door was open. I checked for doggies but they weren’t in there. Although I could see a rather large “dent” in one bed… Kinda the size of a 65 kilo dog Next morning I was there with the camera and the morning after too… Soooooo cute! My guess? Teal’c decides during the night that the sofa isn’t good enough and that he wants to be with the pack. So he jumps into our bed. Max follows and realises that he is just to big to fit in. He feels suitably sorry for himself and goes looking for his own bed. He bumps into the kids bedroom door on his search and it opens… He is just such a big suck!!!!!

6 AM is not a good morning!

My mum can be rather annoying at times, especially at 6 AM in the morning. My dad agrees on that one with me, although he finds her annoying most of the time . There is nothing worse than waking up to a bright light in your face and someone who had already had a shower saying: “Good morning! Time to get up! Walkies!”

IT IS EARLY! IT IS COLD! IT IS RAINING! I REALLY DONT SEE THE POINT!!!! And what is her answer? “I certainly don’t go top the park at this time of the day and weather for my own pleasure. So move your fury arse!!” PAH! PAH! Just show me how the toilet flush works!

My mum is soooooo busy at the moment that she thought “the easy way out” would be to post a few more pictures from out trip down south. We have an article about out holiday-foodables lined up as some of my friends have asked how I stay on a raw diet while being away from home. But articles like that always take a lot longer then posts with happy pictures So here you go! Culburra, dog-friendly beach goodness and some really bad rain!

PS: I’m all happy and healthy again and allowed to play with my friends!!! YEAH!

Hello everyone out there! While I was at home being sick I had some time to read through all my bloggie friends blogs and found something really interesting on Mayzie’s blog! My friend Mayzie is always busy helping other dogs and I wanna do my bit too! Mayzie had a link on her blog to a blog called OH MY DOG and there is something on called a camp-pain against BSL in Denver… Now, we are far, far away from Denver but I made my mum design a card anyway because that is what it is about – she wants to collect a mile of postcards to hopefully stop this madness.

It is really easy! You go to her bloggie, download the postcard template and put a nice pic in there and a few words… And I think every doggie should convince their hoomans to help! It doesn’t matter what breed you are – you might be next!

You also have to read this post on OH MY DOG – it is sooooo cute!

SO HERE IS WHAT MY MUM DID AND I TAG YOU ALL!!!!!!!

Quarantine sucks!

Tealc’s hooman: It is the first time ever the Teal’c isn’t allowed to play with other dogs for such a long time and he doesn’t understand why he has to stay away. It gets worse every day. He is a good dog – he doesn’t pull the lead or anything but by now he doesn’t just sit down starring at the other dog he starts shaking. That is how badly he wants to say hello… Poor little beast! I’ll keep it up for another 2 days and then I’ll unleash him again…

Meanwhile, we go in the industrial area nearby for walkies…
