Just recently I wrote a similar article on how to find high paying adsense keywords that I published in an article directory. However since that article was pretty much general and I never went deep into details I decided to write one for my blog and share it with my visitors, only that in this article we will concentrate more on high paying AdSense keywords for your niche website and we will get into more details.

Whenever I build the site I use a similar strategy, however I tend not to build the websites for AdSense only and I have some specific criteria that I do follow and one of those is that the site must be somehow related to products and that have a decent market but it doesn’t have to be to saturated. But from the other site, it is also a good strategy to build a few mini sites that would bring some income to pay the bills or even to fund the “main” sites economically too. Since these smaller sites purpose is not only informative but as well to generate a decent income and mainly from AdSense it has to;

Have a decent search volume – means it there are people showing interest for this type of product/information

AdWords advertisers should BID a certain amount per click – usually I track down those that have over $1.50 USD per click or even $2 per click

The site should also be also product driven – in case it shows successful and exceeds my expectations I could then integrate more programs to generate even more revenue

Researching High Paying Keywords for our Niche site

Now that we have got a clean view of what type of site we want to build and that we have a clue on what market we want to build our site what we should do is perform a search based on the main keyword so we can find a more specific niche keyword in the market field that will have a high enough PPC bid. In this example we will use as main keyword “car” and with the use of the Search-based Keyword Tool (or rather, SKTool)we will try to dig deeper and find the perfect keywords for our site.

Once landing in the sktool homepage we see the form as in the above image. Insert you main keyword in the Word/Phrase field and hit the Find Keywords button. Sktool will then perform a search and display results of suggested keywords for our main keyword together with monthly search volume data, competition, suggested PPC bid and some other information’s as shown in the bellow image.

Now that we have the results and keyword ideas based on our main keyword all what we have to do is click on the Suggested Bid tab (which is highlighted in the above image) to organize the display of the results from the highest suggested BID result to lowest, you might also want to align the same results based on monthly search volume to make sure you chose a keyword that does indeed have a decent search volume otherwise we might be just wasting time building a site over a keyword that nobody searches for. You might also want to use a SEO software to perform an analyse over the competition for a certain keyword, check the market samurai review, a seo software that I strongly recommend.

With our results in front of our eyes all what we have to do next is check through the list and find some keywords with decent search volume, that has advertisers bidding over that keyword and make sure that the competition over that keyword isn’t too strong so we can get the site in the top 10 rankings and if possible by just using the free & effective internet marketing strategies so we keep our investment as cheaper as less as possible.

Expanding your site based on other high paying keywords on the same niche

We have our main keyword, we have checked the competition and everything looks good enough for us to jump in and build our site. But don’t rush, the next step you should do is perform yet another search on the keyword you have picked and find other keywords that are related to that niche so you can expand your site based on other high paying adsense keywords on the same niche, drive more traffic and of course generate more revenue.

In the following article under the make money online category I will write on how to check the competition for certain keyword and ways we can expand our site by integrating relevant programs to generate more income, so don’t forget to subscribe to my RSS feed (it is completely free, but you already know that) and get updated when the article gets published.

As a follow of the free internet marketing strategies post, today I will blog on blog marketing for newbies through blog commenting as internet marketing strategy, the benefits, how to do it and where to do it so your time doesn’t have to be wasted but instead well invested and effective.

Most likely you have read this advise over and over again, comment on other related blogs for SEO.

The next thing you did was listened to that advise and then jump from one blog to another to leave comment, even if useless, just because someone said it is good for search engine optimization if you get in the top commentators list since you would get a dofollow link. However, that type of game is over now, it never was effective actually but it is definitively over since Google is becoming pretty good in devaluing those type of links.

Now that this type of game is over, you need to take one step back, blame whoever advised you to promote your blog by just leaving useless comments and start with the main purpose of leaving comments, and that is comments that do add value to the topic AND to you, as each comment you leave reflects to your knowledge, personality and professionalism.

The entire point of commenting on relevant blogs is to get connected with other people, get to know people that share the same interest to you, to find people that have similar blogs and great posts from where you can learn something, to read through the comments and find valuable information’s.

When I first started this blog I did the same, made a list of blogs that had “interesting and valuable” posts where people like me would hang out, made sure the blog has some authority and a decent number of followers. The blog I ended up commenting more often was johnchow.com, the blog covered “some” interesting posts, it had a decent amount of followers, it had some controversial comments (which is good to get into a discussion) and at the time everyone would talk about that blog, so it was in buzz mode.

During the period I used to comment I got like 300 unique new visitors to my blog, and my RSS feed started to slow increase, but the most valuable thing for me at the time was that I got hooked up with new bloggers like Paul Barlow of Money Making Schemes, Catherine Lawson and some others.

The results of these new bloggers with which I connected with were the next:

They would subscribed to my RSS or simply come back and visit the blog for new posts, even tho I had stopped commenting on johnchow.com

They would participate on the content I publish and leave a comment, create a discussion which turned out to be very informative as well

They would link to my posts as reference whenever it made sense

They would help me out when I needed, like in the 2008seocontest

If you didn’t realized already, blog commenting if done only for the purpose of driving traffic it will sink at the moment you stop commenting. But instead, if you do it in the proper way, and that is, helping out someone with your comment, clarifying a doubt, showing that you do have knowledge over your topic, then that comment would be 10 times more effective then a simple blatant “thanks nice read”.

3 Points to keep in mind when leaving a comment with internet marketing purpose

Do you really have to comment on that post?

If you do, what will be the value of your comment? Would you add an additional tip to help other readers?

Are you willing to also continue the discussion if someone responds to you?

If you have at least two of the three points in mind when you are about to leave your comment then you are doing the proper marketing of your website/blog online, while leaving a comment that helps others and show that you know the subject, when people read interesting comments are they are also willing to ask questions, if you follow up it shows that you are dedicated to help out others and chances are they will follow the link and land to your website and not only, would subscribe to follow your new posts or comment on older interesting posts, half of the job has been done, you now just passed from None to Some visitors that will follow you.

Things I didn’t do at the time, and that I regret now

At the time, when the new visitors would come to my blog and get hooked up with new bloggers one thing I regret for not doing is, keeping in touch more often and in a more personal way. When I stopped blogging, they stopped following up and we never even exchanged emails to ask for help or share ideas. Never connected with them through Facebook, MyBlogLog, Twitter or any other form except emails, if you are new, make sure not to do the same mistake.

I have to admit it, but I feel a bit annoyed that I am already back even tho it was planned as short vacation due to work flow that I usually receive during the month of July. The time I spent in Malaga, Spain was excellent, even tho in the area where I was it didn’t seemed like Spain at all but instead i felt like as if I was in Little Britain. The rural indications where the only thing you could read in Spanish, all the rest was in English, starting from advertisements of business, to restaurants, super markets etc.

But that is the past and now I am back in Italy, no sea, no pool in the backyard .. and my computer in front of me with my work waiting for me, scheduling projects and organizing my day the best way I can to keep up with everything from client projects, to own projects and some free time for me to relax and do whatever I feel like doing, and with this hot weather cold beer is what suits most I would say (cheers).

New Updates on DNseo.net Blog

Before the vacations I left few things started out but never finished, like the effective internet marketing strategies series which still needs to be completed, and I will during the next days. So you can expect new posts from that series in the next weeks, I will keep it slow but thats mainly because I want the posts to be with as much details as possible and to give you real examples and reasons why you should not ignore those free marketing strategies at all. Right before I started the series there was a change of a categories permalink from marketing-and-advertising to internet marketing tips, so if you have any link pointing to the old permalink I would appreciate if you can update it to the new permalink structure.

The other change you might have notice in this blog is a new seo software reviews category that currently has only the market samurai review as a reviewed software, which can also be found in the SEO resources page as I highly recommend this software. You should well expect more SEO softwares and tools to be reviewed in feature. The good thing about this category is that I can show you some of the tools most of internet marketers and SEOs use and what are the benefits you could have by using these software.

About a year ago when i realized that I will not have that much time to blog and won’t be able to closely monitor the blog and fight spam I decided to use the “automatically close comments” for posts after 15 days as I really do hate logging in and finding out hundreds of spam comments, even tho I put a good use of the comment discussion option for wordpress and blacklist the keywords that mainly spammers use. However that is history, I have extend the “auto close comments” option to 120 days, that means the posts will be open for comments up to 4 months after the date they get published.

I guess this would be all for now, ah before I forget, remember that you are always welcome to guest blog on this seo blog so do not hesitate to register (and don’t forget to confirm the registration by clicking the link that you will receive in your email) and publish your article in one of the next categories: internet marketing tips, make money online, search engines, google search engine or seo tutorials.

After a stressful year it is about time that I relax myself even just for a little bit, so I decided to take a week off and head over to Spain, Malaga and enjoy the sun. My plans are to remain from 23rd June (Tomorrow) until 28th of June but knowing me, if I like it I will most likely extend my vacation for a longer period, perhaps not all the time in Spain as I want to go visit some friends here in Italy too (near the coast).

For me it is kinda sad that I have to give a break from this SEO Blog again for a week, especially now that I started blogging again as I managed to organize my time a little better and bring back some attention to this blog. This means i will have to post pone the free effective internet marketing strategies series of posts until I get back.

The other thing I might be missing during this period are the mega discounts for products that companies release during this period, hope they will be still valid until I get back. If your vacations aren’t planed for this period then you should definitively check my market samurai review, it is truly a powerful keyword research and SEO software that can help you out big time. You can also download the free version and check it out if it works for you.

One other thing I would like to offer you is guest blogging on my blog, if you have the time and would like some self promotion by also contributing to this blog and the community of this blog then register now, confirm your registration and submit your article (I will make sure to read it and publish it even while I will be on vacation). Until I am back, register to my RSS feed and be the first to know my (or my guest bloggers) next post.

See you soon.

Those are not the only features that Market Samurai has, but we will see the other features in a second in this review.

I don’t remember exactly where I heard about Market Samurai the first time, but the truth is I never regretted the money I invested purchasing this software. Not only it has helped me to find high search volume keywords with less competition but it also helped me to determine the weakness that the competition has so I could take advantage over that and outrank those 10+ yrs old sites with my very new site. But lets take a look at the features that this SEO software has and the benefits you could have from its features.

Rank Tracker

Keyword Research (this is a very powerful keyword research tool)

SEO Competition (yet another powerful feature of this seo software)

Domains (NEW feature added just recently)

Monetization (useful for make money online websites and landing pages, easily integrate affiliate links and find products to promote)

Find Content (i rarely use this option, but it is a good one if you intend to find content, spin it and republish the spinned content)

Publish Content (feature to publish content to your website)

Promotion (easy find articles and places based on your keyword search where you can comment and leave a backlink to your site)

AdWords (soon to come feature)

Rank Tracker Feature

With the rank tracker feature you can setup all the keywords you intend to rank for and monitor your search engine optimization success. You can update the ranking data any time you want with a simple click (I would recommend not to overuse that button..).

Market Samurai Keyword Research Tool

This is the feature I mostly like with this seo software. You can simply create a project based on the core keyword, select few features to filter the data, based on daily search volume, AdWords CPC, SEO competition, number of words in phrase and many other parameters that can refine the results and help you focus only on easy to rank and high paying keywords for your niche website. You can also assign negative keywords to refine your search and speed up the process to gathering seo competition data.

In the above video tutorial on keyword research with market samurai you can see the features and how this software works. Pretty neat, isn’t it?

SEO Competition

Once you have found your niche keywords that you believe are worth to rank for then it is time to check for the SEO competition for that keyword. What this feature does is check the first 10 ranking websites in the first page of the Google SERPs and pull all their data. Including age of domain, last time site was cached, number of pages indexed, number of inbound links to a specific page, overall inbound links to the root domain, on page optimization factors and much more. In addition, with this feature you can also pull a precious information, spying your competitors inbound links and find out which sites link to them and with which anchor, this makes it easy to “replicate” their seo effort and improve it to out rank them.

Knowing what has worked for those sites that are already ranking, is a really precious information, and doing all that manually could take hours, but with Market Samurai you can pull that data in just about 5 minutes and start searching for links from those sites or similar ones (or even better if you can).

Domain Research Based on Keywords

If you are an old visitors of my SEO blog then you have most likely come across to one of my most visited posts regarding keywords in domain. There are rumors spreading out (mainly from the seo gurus) that keywords in domain doesn’t help, yet, the same people suggest you use keywords in your permalinks. The truth is that, keywords in domain DOES help, however if you are after branding mostly rather then just ranking for a certain keyword then keyword rich domain is not something you should aim for.

Kinda went off the topic, however, the domain research feature of market samurai will give you results of free domains to register based on your keywords. Thing which makes it much easier to find good and keyword rich domains for your niche website.

Conclusion

These are mainly the features I do like and do use very often when starting a new project or expanding the site into different sections and tracking down keywords with less competition and good amount of search volume. I strongly recommend you purchase Market Samurai.

The video bellow is 1h long it might be quiet long, but trust me it is worth watching the entire video as it does contain a lot of useful information and things you can learn from the sites being reviewed from Matt Cutts, Tiffany Lane, Greg Grothaus and Vanessa Fox. The seo site reviews aren’t concentrated ONLY on seo aspects and performing with the search engines, but as well as usability, how to present important things to your visitors and how to make visitors to like your site (with like, I mean, easy to navigate site, easy to understand and give them the information’s for which they came to your site in first place).

One thing I did notice on this video was the “keyword stuffing of google webmaster tools”, i am teasing, not really a keyword stuffing as you think, but the google webmaster tools is being promoted quiet a bit, guess why?

I have categorized this post under seo tutorials as I believe from this video you will be able to learn some new things, they aren’t explicitly pointed you (and most of them are) and if you can read a bit between the lines you will get some valuable information’s.

If you finish watching the video entirely, let me know what are the new things you learned from this video that you didn’t know about earlier.

Have a website but don't know where to start from? Read this article on internet marketing strategies to promote your website during the first months of the launch and how to drive more targeted traffic to your website with less effort and completely free, all it requires is your time investment and a good solid internet marketing promotional plan. The internet marketing strategies mentioned in this article have been repeated over and over again, but this time I will get more in details on how to turn these free marketing techniques into effective internet marketing for your website as well as have the SEO benefits too.

These free internet marketing strategies have been mentioned over and over again during these past few years, however since these are also effective internet marketing strategies I decided to write about it and perhaps remind you about them, in case you have forgot.

The reason why you have build a site is so that people could see it, know about it, buy your product or even just simply click on your affiliate links or advertisements and make you earn money. If no one knows about your site, then all the time you have invested to build it is nothing but a big waste of time. Of course, you could have other reasons to build your site, but still, without proper marketing on internet nobody will come and see what you have in your site, nobody will know that your site exists.

You could simply concentrate on SEO to bring targeted traffic to your site, visitors that found your site based on the keywords they searched for, but this could take months (and if it is a very competitive term or you target the wrong keywords, your site might never make it to have that desired visibility, anyway you can check out my seo articles archive and get to know with seo if you are not familiar). But, can you really wait that long until you generate your first sale? Or if you have a fat budget to invest, you could also jump in PPC marketing and have targeted paid traffic.

Free internet marketing strategies that work

What if I would tell you that there are methods with which you can benefit on both ways, drive targeted traffic and improve your search engine rankings? What if I tell you that you have ALWAYS knew this, but never thought it was worth, or thought that it was just time consuming and waste of time? I believe you already know where I am heading to in this article, and most likely you are right. So lets take a look at these free and effective internet marketing strategies, but before we proceed, you might want to subscribe to my RSS feed as this will be a series of posts, explaining more in details each of bellow mentioned marketing strategies.

Directory submission (old style, but good for the first links to kick-start you)

Follow & participate in related blogs

Participate in related forums

Use social networking sites

Use of the social bookmarking sites

Write and distribute articles (or rather, article marketing)

I know you have heard about this too often, and you might be thinking: hey, but you are not telling me nothing new. The point is, after reading all this for so much time did you took the time to actual do it, or you just kept reading and reading and reading. And if you tried to do all (or some) of the points above mention, were you doing it the right way?

In this series of the articles I will go one step further and not just tell you to do it, but will actually try and show you HOW TO DO IT IN A EFFECTIVE WAY to get the real benefit from these free and effective internet marketing strategies and how to organize everything so nothing would be just a waste of time. Don’t forge to subscribe to my RSS feed and follow me and the series of internet marketing strategies.

Things to do before you start marketing your website

In order to put in use in a effective way these free internet marketing strategies you need to first do your homework and plan every single step. You need to organize the time you want to invest in your site, double check the list of things to do and start preparing your to-do homework in groups.

Just a short example of how work plan should look like

Identify keywords that are related to your product and search for alternative keywords too that don’t have too much competition. Once you have found all the possible keywords that you believe are worth investing time and effort line them up based on priority. Identify blogs/forums that are related to your. Identify article directories that are worth submitting your precious content. Then pass on second stage, the process of internet marketing through free methods.

Week 1: 30-60mins a day to submit your site to web directories. Most likely 10-15 directories a day would be more then enough, so that would be even less then a hour a day. We will see in the next article why this old method isn’t something you should ignore, or you can check the previous post on how old style seo works.

Week 2: Start to slowly participate in blogs that are related to your niche and forums too. More tips on how to make an effective internet marketing strategy out of this in the upcoming article.

etc..list goes on, based on your priorities

Without a solid plan and clear ideas of what your target is, what is that you really want to achieve you are going nowhere. Non of these (nor other techniques) will help you out, you will burn all your enthusiasm you had for your site or business in couple of months (if not weeks). Most importantly once you have done your homework and scheduled your to-do list of free internet marketing promotion you will need to STICK to your plan and keep up with the free internet marketing strategies even when you will get a solid amount of traffic.

Just a short blog that hope will benefit you all and get a directory listing (or contextual advertisement) for a cheaper price by using the V7N coupon code. V7N Network (owners of the V7N Directory) are getting prepared for summer and already releasing coupon codes from which we can all benefit and get a nice discounted prices.

I have blogged several times about their directory section, the V7N Directory and I even have them listed in my seo resources page as well due to the quality of their directory and the seo benefits of that directory. I have recommended V7N directory since the first time I submitted a site of mine, and then followed by submission of a second site to make some experiments, proved, and recommended again.

V7N Coupon Code

For a limited time, you can get a lovely discount of $12.50 by using coupon code: ALMOSTSUMMER (do not forget to click on Apply Code before checking out). This coupon code is not valid only for their directory but as well the contextual advertisement too (or as they call it, contextual links). So same coupon code can be used in both places (or wherever you prefer most).

The above mentioned coupon code is valid for only a limited time and will end Monday, May 31st at midnight CST, so you better act quick if you want to get this discount.

As summer is getting close, companies are more then happy to give discounted prices to pull some customers. Subscribe to my RSS feed, there are more offers of which I am aware of and will blog about some of them.

If you are into SEO to improve your SERP rankings and drive targeted traffic to your site then you are most likely into the topic of “getting quality links”. Of course, unless your name is Rae Hoffman and have several years of marketing experience in your back to find ways how to get those links come to you naturally (or rather, how to perform that link-bait strategy that everyone speaks about). By the way, the article to which I am linking on Rae Hoffman’s (Suggarrae) blog is a one hell of a good read and inspiration on how to build a branding site from “scratch”.

Perhaps the title of this article should have been “How to determine the quality of sites from which we want links” but heck that would be a really long title, but you got the point.

Sooner or later you WILL realize that your site does need some sort of promotion, would that be promotion to improve your search engine rankings for your keywords, would it be a promotion of a product or service you offer it doesn’t matter, what matters is that you do need to promote your site, not once, but constantly..especially at the first years of your site that will require some heavy promotions to get the word out and let people know that your site DOES EXIST.

Every single link to your site is welcome

True, every single link pointing to your site (or a inner page of your site) is a good thing, it shows that your site can be a good reference, a good place where someone can solve its problems, but what happens when you do need those links but you are not getting them in the natural way as Rae Hoffman does, and you are forced to go out there (yeah, Google) and look for links for your website, where you actually will be investing your time (if not, even your money) for those links, will then still the old say “Every single link to your site is welcome” be valid? To simply answer, NO. And here are two reasons why:

Your business doesn’t have time to waste

Your competitor won’t wait for you to learn the lesson

You have a business because you want to sell products/services so you can earn money, and every wasted hour is a – for your bank account. While you wasting time on low quality (aka low authority) sites related to your products/services your competitors is already looking at strong and authoritative sites to promote his website/product (gosh, I hate slashing like that, I will just try to concentrate and use one single name to define your business) and after an hour of research you will achieve to get 10-20-100 of low quality links, while your competitor has invested the same time and has got 1-2-3 high authority (high quality) links to his site. At the end of the day, you see him outranking you and you keep wondering why. And the answer is simple, the sites that ‘reference’ your competitors product have a greater authority over your 100 gibberish sites.

Imagine it this way

I want to buy a computer, but I don’t know which one would be good for me. What I need is a computer with good performances but nothing extreme, that will last long and won’t cost much. I decide it is time to ask for others opinion to clear up my ideas and figure out what I need.

Then I find 100 regular people that don’t work as tech support or have deep knowledge of computers (aka, zero references) and one of them is a posh girl that does her nails all day long (why a posh? because I want so, its my story). All of them would recommend me to buy a Sony Vaio (and their answers would be,

it is a good computer i recently bought it and had no problems

oh its much better then the previous old computer I have, now I don’t wait 10 mins to load a page

oh my sony vaio is pink, its so sexy, just like me. (I know you got it, this was the posh girl)

While walking to the store to buy me a sony vaio because it: has no problems while its new, won’t make me load a page for 10 minutes and it is sexy, I end up seeing an old friend of mine which happens to be a computer geek, works in a big company that offers tech support and knows what a computer has better then what is in his sandwich (no offense guys, it is a compliment) and previously many of my friends had told me he has fixed their computer so I should better ask him (what a coincidence). I tell him what my intentions are and his answer is: dude, sony vaio costs over 1k with only 2gb of memory ram, 250Gb of hard disk and a 2.0 GHz processor speed, with that money or less you can get a nice HP Pavillion with at least 4GB of ram, 600GB of memory with a 2.6 GHz processor and the quality of their hardware is much better then a sony vaio.

(Note: This is just an example, I am not saying that sony vaio sucks and that HP is much better (which could be, or be the opposite scenario). My knowledge over computer performances can be a paragon with Mother Theresa and bodybuilding scenario, kinda..

Which product do you think I will end up buying after I got 100s of references for sony vaio by people that don’t know the subject and have not been referenced to my by nobody or that one reference I received for HP Pavillion by a person who has been referenced to me by several other people that he knows the subject well? I don’t know about you, but after the reference from a tech support guy for who many of my friends told me I should ask, you still want to buy a pink sony vaio over a well configured HP Pavillion for the same price it is up to you, but let me tell you, in that case you got issues, and if search engines would act that way they would have been out of business for a long time now.

To put it simple and cut off this long article (which kinda slipped out of topic with that story) when you look for a site, which you would want to refer your website/product/service you want that site to:

Be referred by others (aka: have good amount of inbound links)

Be a point of reference (aka: authoritative on the subject)

Has been for awhile now in the market (aka: is established site)

If a site has the above 3 qualities I mentioned then your benefits would be: Better rankings since you get a reference from an established authoritative site on the subject. Have new visitors to your site since old established sites have a good amount of visitors already which will then lead to sales and income on your end.

If you are using FireFox browser you might consider installing Aaron Wall’s SEO Toolbar addon which will give you all the needed information’s regarding the quality of a site.

As I am really slow at blogging and caught up with projects I am always late in publishing the good news (even tho I often happen to catch them on time). The latest one is the free Microsoft SEO toolkit which was released early this year (if I am not wrong). The Microsoft free SEO toolkit does the same thing as any other SEO tools that perform on-page analysis and off-page as well. The part I like about this tool is that it can deep crawl your site (and that’s perfect for blogs with hundreds of posts published) and give you a indepth analysis of each page, detect errors, and help you out on tracking the errors to improve your sites/pages on-page optimization (it doesn’t do magic, but it helps you track down those issues and you can then fix them).

Another great feature the free microsoft seo toolkit has built in is comparison between reports, which helps you see how your sites optimization is improving after the changes you have done. I will let you watch this video to get more information’s, and then you let me know what you think.

Note: To install the Microsoft Search Engine Optimization Toolkit is free and it requires IIS version 7 or higher.
