One “red” day but it was really barely over maintenance calories. Think Sunday might have been another maintenance day, but had a 900+ deficit all other days. Pretty nice. This week is going to be a bit rough with the mini vacation for two days, but hopefully that won’t derail me too much. Just have to see how it goes. Hope this bloat will pass in another day or two. Am still terribly excited to start the South Beach program next week.

Had a good week.

This week:

Did I get 30 + minutes of exercise 5 days this week? Yes.
Did I eat relatively healthy? Yes.
Did I keep my “free” day around maintenance calories? Yes.
Did I binge? No.

AVERAGED a little over 1000 calorie deficit per day for the week. Very nice. Somehow haven't lost anything. Trying not to get discouraged. Know hormones are playing a part. It's still frustrating. I *know* I put in the work for at least a pound, and prob. closer to two, but just got to keep on keeping on.

I had three minor dairy "slip ups"...Can hopefully do even better, next week. Been 90% dairy free if not more. Had MAYBE three ounces of cheese (high-end guesstimate) throughout the entire week and one scoop of ice-cream. Other then that, no dairy. Don't know if I'm going to make it through the rest of the month or not. I knew this was going to be hard but I didn't think it would be THIS hard. My biggest fear is that "depriving" myself is going to trigger a binge, but hopefully, I can be better/stronger then that.

Feeling a little frustrated, but also determined. If nothing else, it's good for me to be back on track. It's too bad the scale isn't cooperating, but I should still be doing right by my body and that's the most important thing, really.

Tomorrow will be 4 weeks. Love the eGo.

Also got a sampler pack from Vapor Station. I'm loving the tobacco flavors I got (Texas, Tennessee, and Frisco is my favorite) as well as the Seattle. RY4 is interesting, but not quite my thing. VS Cocoa and Cafe Sumatra I almost didn't care for much. Djarum Mild is nicer than the other clove flavor I've tried - subtle and smooth. Haven't gotten around to trying Frost or New York yet.

The tobacco flavors actually taste like tobacco, unlike earlier juices I've tried. It's refreshing, and if I close my eyes, it really does feel like I'm smoking a cigarette.

(Boo!) Then we went to the bowling alley and I got to bowl! Then we went to Casa Ramos and ate Mexican food! Then I got to go home and watch some of my (current) favorite movie, The Sound of Music.

Phew! What a day!

They tell me we’re doing more things on Friday night and Saturday! I can’t wait!

I love birthdays! I want another one tomorrow.

…that’s what everyone’s been telling me.

I know all about birthdays. I’ve been doing research.

My favorite TV show, TEC The Tractor, has an episode where TEC and Katie have a birthday on the same day. A bunch of kids come over and they all eat cake.

Also, Dad has a videotape of me that I watch on the television. He says it’s from my first birthday. And do you know what’s going on in that video? Yep. I’m eating cake.

So, I’m very excited every time someone tells me that my birthday is coming up soon. But then they always ask me, “What do you want for your birthday?”

Isn’t it obvious? CAKE!

They would know that if THEY had done their research.

Yesterday was officially one week. Still going strong. Had a band gig at a private party last night, and while my bandmates were smoking, it didn't bother me in the slightest.

I've been getting to know this eGo better. I've tried carts, dripping, and a 510 cartomizer. Compared to the M40x, carts give me more vapor, slightly less flavor, and less throat hit. Dripping is a step up on flavor and throat hit. But so far I love the cartomizers.

I bought blank cartomizers and filled one with my everyday 24mg menthol from TrueVapor. I get all the flavor of the M4, with lots of vapor and good throat hit. And, I filled it yesterday and it's still going strong. Coupled with that eGo battery, I think I've found a combination that will easily last all day long, and probably longer.

Almost a week with no cigarettes. And I think this new unit is only going to make it easier.

So far, I've only been able to try my new eGo with some Turkish Blend Tobacco flavor juice that I just happened to bring with me to work today. Compared with my M402, I'm getting a little bit less throat hit, maybe a little less flavor, but a LOT more vapor than I'm used to. It might be more difficult to be stealthy at work with this thing. And I might have to reduce my nicotine strength with this guy.

Once I get it home, I'll try it out with my usual menthol juice and go from there. I've got a low-resistance atomizer to try, and some blank cartomizers, and a 501-M402 adapter that might be interesting.

I haven't been getting fatigued, I don't get out of breath near as easily, and every day I seem to be able to smell more things.

I mowed the lawn yesterday, and despite the 90 degrees and high humidity, it was kinda fun. I wasn't huffing and puffing, and I wasn't completely wiped out afterwards.

I stopped by a convenience store yesterday for some soda, and the regular clerk I know asked, "Is that all for you? Need some smokes today?" It was nice (and easy) to say, "No, not today." :)

I've not had any problems not smoking cigarettes so far. Still haven't bought any. Every once in a while, a little bell goes on off in my head saying, "It's time to go outside for a cigarette!", especially at work. But a couple of puffs on the PV cures that.

Now I just can't wait until all the new stuff arrives. I've got M4 attys and blank carts coming, I've got an eGo on it's way, I've got empty 510 carts and cartomizers coming for the eGo, and a sampler pack of juice due next week.

So much for saving money on smokes this month. But I'll probably have enough supplies to last several months.
