Certification for the 2012 Tournament of Champions will take place as follows:

Tuesday, May 22, at 6:00 p.m. Hawaiian Gardens, Plaza and Lakewood Little Leagues will certify at Hawaiian Gardens field at Fedde Middle School (behind Bloomfield Park) in Hawaiian Gardens
Wednesday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m. Greater Bellflower and Lakewood Village Little Leagues will certify at Caruthers Park in Bellflower.
Thursday, May 24, at 6:00 p.m. Long Beach and West Long Beach Little Leagues will certify at Stearns Park in Long Beach.

Safety Class Rosters for 2012

Safety class certifications are good for three years, i.e if you attended class in 2010, 2011 or 2012 your certification is valid for 2012. If your certificate is from a year prior to 2010 then it is no longer valid.

2012 Team Rosters

Little League team rosters should be provided to District 38 as soon as possible. Rosters should include the name, address and birth date for each player and the name and address of each adult volunteer (manager, coaches and team mom).

The easiest way to provide rosters is to use the Team Roster application on this site. This application is easy to use and allows you to securely create and send the required information to District 38.

Detailed instructions for using this program can be found by clicking on the “documents” tab on the District 38 home page.

Challenger Classic at Angel Stadium

The Challenger Classic is an opportunity for challenger teams to come together at Angel stadium for a day filled with baseball and fun.

Angels legends Clyde Wright, Bobby Grich, Rex Huddler and Jim Abbott will be in attendance throughout the day.

Admission is free, and all attendees will be entered to win some great prizes!

New and Improved Tournament Eligibility Application

A new and greatly improved web-app for creating tournament eligibility rosters and maps is now available by clicking here. This app will produce the roster and boundary map required for tournament certification. It is highly recommended that you use this app to create your tournament map.

When entering player addresses please enter the full address, i.e. street address, city and state.

Note that for security purposes the rosters and addresses are saved only on your computer; they are not available to the local league, district or to Little League. At the current time only one team can be saved – to enter a second team under the same account requires the first team to be deleted.

After entering all players DO NOT use your browser’s print button to print; instead use the print button in the application to print your map.

Fourth of July Fireworks

As of this morning the California District 38 Fireworks Stand is open for business. Whether you need sparklers for the kids, piccolo pete’s for the bigger kids or a huge assortment for the whole block, you can find it all down at the fireworks stand.

All proceeds from the stand go to the district.

So if you plan on celebrating Independence Day in one of the communities where fireworks are legal this weekend then please come out and purchase some fireworks.

We look forward to seeing you this week and we’d like to wish everyone a Happy and safe Independence Day.
