I’m looking for fellow bloggers that wish to assist in the launch, help getting the word out and so forth.

If you recall about two months ago I wrote how I wanted you to review me. Surprisingly, that post was a total failure in drawing attention; a mere two answered the call and they offered to do it for free, thanks guys! Dunno, perhaps everyone is independently wealthy. LOL.  No matter. No worries. I’m going a somewhat different route…

No reviews, no banner/link ads (yet), I’m going with plugs; easier for you, cheaper for me. In essence, I write up about the site and you simply post it up on your blog.

In return, you have a choice:

1. Up to 3 do-follow backlinks in a “linkluv” style post. Home Page, About Page, One Social Profile (assuming you have all 3) w/keywords of your choice. There will be multiple posts; each linkluv style post will have no more then 3 blogs each, allowing each blog more exposure.

2. $20 via PayPal (including fees). No links. Choosing this option kicks in my right to analyze your traffic stats, down to subscribers and comment count.

Remember, you’re responsibility is exactly ZERO. I write the plug, all you do is post it. I promise NO HYPE and you will be given the article ahead of time for perusal. Of course, if you love me and wish to add a few words of your own, that’s OK too.

So, the choice is yours if you wish to take me up on it. Not to sway you one way or the other, I’m thinkin’ #1 would most likely bring better Karma in the long run…

Move news - Things are progressing quite well here and I hope the same for you! The move is IMMINENT (very very soon), so please keep a close eye.

Domain name news - If you recall in my 2nd to last post, I once again asked you to help me choose domain names for future blogs.

I chose….. EasyAdContests.com and EasyEntrecardContests.com for the trifecter (sp?) with my EasyCashContest.com, blog. However, I ALSO chose EntrecardContests.com.

I plan to use one, most likely “easy” as the dominant and simply forward the other as many people may use it…you know how especially word of mouth can get confused.

I was also looking for my new personal blog domain name and as per last time, offered $10 if anyone could come up with one I hadn’t thought about.

Again as per last time, ANDREW WINS AGAIN! with his suggestion of DennisEdellSays.com - oh how I hope that’s not too “EF Hutton”; that would be sad. LOL (Those in their mid/late 30’s - early 40’s will get that. )

I’m definitely thinking of making him my official domain name goto guy; he seems to have an uncanny knack for these things; thanks buddy!

Side-note: I also purchased DennisEdell.net because it makes sense, and DennisEdell.org (curious as a boy in a brothel now, aren’t-cha? )

Hmm, I did say there was more, didn’t I. Well, either I lied or forgot; we’ll go with forgot and see what happens. C-ya!

UPDATE: A day later, but I remember what else…if you recall last time, I was also  picking names for a niche paranormal blog. I picked TalkingParanormal.com, but Andrew suggested RealParanormalStories.com due to the awesome keywords…..I preferred the shortness of TP and could still use the awesome keywords throughout; best of both worlds!

I have now re-purchased RealParanormalStories.com. Why? A blog and forum! What-cha think?

OK, I currently have 300+ subscribers to this blog and however many readers from the outside. I would like as many comments to this post as possible, even if you never commented before and may never again…it’s that important .

I am moving as quickly and diligently as possible to get the new DennisEdell.com/DSWM to open. I have installed the new, albeit bare, theme and am now installing plugins.

Now, if you’ve ever installed a plugin, you know that within a week of release there’s at least a dozen or more alternatives to the same damn thing. Being a certified (or is that certifiable?) plugin junkie, I spend a considerable amount of time choosing the best possible “version” to each one.

I LOVE my current subscribe-to-comments plugin for a cool extra feature it provides…it enables the visitor to subscribe to comments WITHOUT having to leave a comment first. A very handy dandy feature for those shy or busy readers that want to keep tabs on the comments before leaving their own, don’t-cha think?

Well for one reason or another, be it the new theme or the new version of WP or whatever, this plugin is now glitching. It’s a minor glitch and one we’ve all seen before, where the tick box is 10 feet to the side of where it should be…..minor but irritating; irritating to all hell for some of us.

I knew something was bound to go wrong, when I was informed the new WP 2.9 needs two plugins to make this one plugin work. Gotta love it when that happens, but I digress…

Sooooo I ask you, have you ever taken advantage of this feature? Would you like it to be available to you? If the response is a resounding NO, then screw it, I’ll search for a plugin that doesn’t glitch. If YES, then I’ll either deal with it, or try to find the glitch and fix it.

The fate of this cool plugin resides in your hands, what say you?

Long story short (I hope) - I just got off a 60+minute phone call with the #1 tech support of Hostgator…

Yesterday, I was having issues with incoming mail. They said my disk quota was maxed out and I had to boost it a bit. Fine and done; boosted 200mb, enough for months or more.

Today, I was not receiving incoming email; back on the phone with tech support…..oh it looks like your disk quota is maxed, would you like to boost it? Excuuuuuse me?!?!? The gentleman yesterday, about 12hrs ago, boosted it TWO HUNDRED MEGABYTES, what the !#%^$& are you people doin’ over there!

I didn’t exactly respond like that as I know they are the best support team on the planet, but I was a bit peeved.

He searched faaaar and wiiiide until he came upon the MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer plugin which appears to be the culprit in boosting my error log up 246mb OVERNIGHT.

Oy vey indeed.

Plugin now deactivated, support reset things, and all is right with the world again. My next email is to Pawan, the creator of this awesome plugin…it is a very important and necessary plugin, so I hope he can do something about it.

Anyhoo, I thought I’d get the word out to all, seeing how it is a popular plugin. If you can, please share this post.

Not a bad tech support experience for Christmas day, wouldn’t you agree? If you’re on the hunt for the best poible hosting available, allow me to make a very strong recommendation.
