Researchers at HP Labs have built a small, multi-angle, glasses-free 3D display that could allow for smartphones, tablets, and watches to produce Princess Leia-like holograms.

The display technology forms 3D images by projecting different 2D images into different regions of space. A viewer located near the display will see a different image from his right and left eye, resulting in a 3D effect without the need for special glasses or eye tracking. As the viewer moves around (or tilts) the display, he or she will perceive a succession of different image stereo pairs, creating the illusion of continuous motion parallax. Have a look:

For the third successive year, we’ve thrown down the gauntlet to all those who live and breathe digital:

Can you guess all 20 web events, intertwined in one intricate illustration by the amazing artist Niark1?

Have a look at the great thesis "Change – Help Make it" of Katharina and Linus, two colleagues at Hi-ReS! Hamburg.

Change is the easiest way to support people in need.
Change is about helping – and encouraging others in the process.
Use Change to learn about the story behind the people and
help bring attention to their plight by publishing your support
in your social network.

Watch Full Sequence

Making of:

Local androids created this great interactive skinfashion:

"Like living organisms; a breathing artificial skin garment with pulsing veins (air is pumping through the veins to simulate a pulse), the pulse increases when you approach and the neckpiece deflates on touch as sign of trust."
