The emails discussed, among other things, possible repercussions arising from minor girl students being made to do early morning practices (sadhana) without covering their upper bodies.

Later, in another related police complaint filed against Sadhguru and his Isha Foundation, Bharathi Varadaraj testified to the Tamil Nadu Police that Sadhguru did remove the shirts of young girls before initiation (deeksha) and rubbed them on the spine and with his heel below the navel region, and that the email exchanges between her and Maa Pradyuta about stopping these practices did happen.

Bharathi’s part testimony is mentioned in the attached report dated 1st October 2025 by the All Women Police Station, Perur Sub Division, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu. The inquiry report clearly states that, “Bharathi Varadaraj had stated that there was such e-mail correspondence.”

Bharathi’s testimony is extraordinary because she was at the centerstage of Sadhguru and Isha Foundation’s activities since its inception and until about 2017. Sadhguru’s biography, “Sadhguru: More Than a Life”, also mentions Bharathi 78 times.

The case was filed under the Tennessee Public Participation Act, Tenn. Code Ann. § 20-17-101 et seq. ("TPPA"), and Isha's court filing (which is not in the public domain) mentions Isha seeking $10 million in damages. The adjudication/verdict on a few other pending matters, which are also part of the same case, is still pending.

My greetings for Ganesh Chaturthi and my prayers to Lord Ganesha for bestowing success, prosperity, and happiness upon all your family members.

I am a former civil servant who held important posts in the Government, including Under Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy Land and Development Officer in the Ministry of Urban Development, and Deputy Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Textiles before I sought voluntary retirement in 2018 to pursue my passion for writing and teaching dispute resolution through Vedic jurisprudence, and to continue my independent study of the Vedas, Puranas, and Itihasa. In this context, I am disturbed by a certain sect leader spreading falsehoods, which are detailed in the following paragraphs.

Can we imagine a leading figure in the Hindu spiritual world calling Lord Shiva a debauch, Lord Krishna a Romeo who would be killed by common people in today’s world, and Maa Yashoda’s love for Krishna a romance, while openly denigrating Hinduism’s ancient Saatvik practices like a Vamachari Tantrik?

We likely cannot fathom this even in our dreams. Yet, this is happening daily, blatantly, and involves a man with a massive global following, with dangerous repercussions for Bharat, especially for our youth, in both the short and long term.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has been openly insulting Hindu gods, goddesses and scriptures and trying to mislead over 1.2 billion Hindus worldwide using modern tools and technologies like social media.

He has been openly hurting Hindu sentiments and speaking in a horrendous manner against Hindu gods, goddesses, and practices for a very long time now. Please find below a small list of Sadhguru’s reprehensible comments in context of Hinduism:

1. Shiva is a drunkard, debauchee, and drug addict, says Sadhguru

When nothing worked—not even doctors or therapy sessions—just to bring my wife some comfort and spiritual peace, I took her to our family temple, XXXXX XXX temple. There, our family priest confirmed that she was under the strong influences of tamsik practices being performed at Isha foundation.

I believe—firmly—that this was the outcome of spiritual and psychological manipulation that drove my wife to unbearable despair. She was a devoted mother, a strong woman. Something broke her spirit in ways I still cannot comprehend.

Sir, I am a simple middle-class man. I don’t have the resources, influence, or legal knowledge to fight against a large and powerful institution like Isha foundation. All I have is faith in your leadership and hope for justice. It is with folded hands that I request you to please investigate the tantrik or harmful spiritual practices being carried out within Isha Foundation.

My wife trusted this institution, as do many others. If such unregulated spiritual activities continue unchecked, many other innocent sisters and daughters in our country could fall victim to similar harm. Please help protect them.

This is not only about my loss, but about the need to ensure accountability and safety in institutions that hold spiritual influence over countless lives.

From the perspective of Hinduism/Sanatan Dharma and Jainism, consuming non-vegetarian foods, particularly beef, is considered taboo due to the reverence for cows and the principle of ahimsa (non-violence). We are not endorsing vegetarian or non-vegetarian food here or debating what is right or wrong, but it is important to note that people still face the risk of being lynched in India for possessing beef. It would indeed be a shocking revelation for many in India to learn about Sadhguru's eating habits, given that his PR team aggressively promotes him as a representative of Sanatan Dharma, strategically using this image to cover his crimes and misdeeds and deceive his followers.

A former close associate and follower of Sadhguru has made startling revelations regarding group sex orgies passed off as Kama Sutra, sexual misconduct including oral sex under the guise of sadhana, and rape occurring at his home in Coimbatore, India ashram, his home in the US ashram, and in hotels in California, USA during high-priced Inner Engineering programs.

These witness revelations by a former believer disclose how Sadhguru, supported by his handlers, Nathalie and Aparna, frequently engaged in inappropriate sexual activities, including sex with multiple women at the same time, under the guise of spiritual practices during retreats, Inner Engineering programs, and private sadhana meetings.

Coimbatore: Illicit Activities at Sadhguru’s House

According to Sara (name changed), in 2006/2007, Sadhguru invited select women from Lebanon to his residence inside Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, where he maintained a private shrine.

This shrine, which has a Devi photo and is distinct from the Dhyanalinga Temple, was used as a pretext for the secretive activities. The spiritual context, including the presence of the Devi photo inside the shrine, was used to create an atmosphere of legitimacy, dispelling suspicions among participants.

According to Sara, women were brought to Sadhguru’s residence under the pretense of participating in spiritual practices and were told that the Devi inside the shrine was more powerful than even the Dhyanalinga for certain conditions and situations.

Sadhguru also had Nathalie teaching several of the full-time women monks how to masturbate and apply their female juices to the Devi.

A source from India’s national intelligence agency, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), said these orgies, some of which also involved government officials and Isha residents, were often video-recorded by Sadhguru and his handlers and continue to be used for blackmail.

Los Angeles: Illicit activities at a 5-star hotel

A similar scenario emerged from Sadhguru’s numerous Inner Engineering programs in Los Angeles between 2005 and 2006. According to Sara’s account, these programs involved Sadhguru and his handlers staying in luxurious LA hotels where Sadhguru engaged in group sex orgies with select women in his private hotel room, all organized under the pretext of discussing yoga and spiritual practices. Sara claimed that his handlers would set up the rooms for these meetings.

What we have observed with the last 2 batches is that waking up at 3 am during the 60 day silence period is extremely challenging for the kids with the result that they fall asleep in the Surya namaskar or asana postures while doing stabilisation. They are so tired that during the day when they do siddhasana they doze off no matter how much they take a dip in the Suryakund or wet hair.

I feel in the very beginning, we are not establishing the right habit of being wakeful in sadhana. However hard they try to be wakeful, they just cannot sustain. After a certain point they give up because sleep is so overwhelming.

1. Can we wake them up at 4.30 am instead and work the schedule accordingly?

2. During initiation, the girls are asked to removed the upper cloth so the spine is fully exposed. As i have expressed earlier, I have some reservations abput this and feel this needs to be revisited keeping in mind that they are minor girls and …

… to do this before initiation. And they have no way of discussing this with any of us. Also they are grown up girls and start thinking about these things no matter how much explanation is given. Considering the way we are bringing them up, this is quite alien to them. Also there is a huge risk factor involved for the institution in case it goes negative. The type of parents (in understanding or commitment) that are coming these days is not like how it was for the first batch. So from now it's better to initiate the girls with their upper body properly covered.

For a long time, a silent debate has been raging within educated Shia and Sunni circles on whether or not Muslim men are allowed to have sex with their own mahrams (mother, sister, daughter, etc).

The most heated debate on the subject ensued in academic circles many decades ago after the editor of the famous publication Rizwan blamed Shias for this abhorrent practice:

Not only this, the Shia faith is so dirty that it is permissible to have sexual relations even with women in the prohibited degree (Mahram) provided one has wrapped his private part with silk. Zainul Abideen Haeri Mazandarani, a Shia scholar, writes in Zakhiratul Ma’ad (page 95) that: ‘Intercourse (with mother and sisters) is permissible after wrapping silk.’

The above - mentioned claim, that featured in Rizwan, was fiercely countered by Shia scholar Sayyid Sa'eed Akhtar Rizvi in an article titled ‘Imam Abu Hanifah, Wrapping of silk and other issues’ (Link). This rebuttal was published in the Al-Jawwad issue of February 1958. In his article, Rizvi gave many academic references to establish the Shia side of the story.

He literally invalidated the Rizwan claim by using what one calls a ‘selection bias’. He wrote how the reality regarding the issue is exposed the moment one reads the question and answer from Zakhiratul Maad, a book by Shia scholar Zain-ui-Abdin, in its entirety and not selectively. He then went ahead and listed the question and answer in full:

Question: If a person wraps a silk handkerchief or something like it over his sexual organ so that during intercourse or otherwise it does not come in contact with the woman’s body, is ritual bath (Ghusl) obligatory on him?

Answer: The obligation of ritual bath is not bereft of strength. And it is narrated from Abu Hanifah that it is permissible to penetrate the mahrams (mothers, sister, daughter etc.) after wrapping silk.

Rizvi explains that:

… this is the verdict of the Hanafis (Sunnis) and has no connection with the Shias. The editor of Rizwan omitted the words ‘it is narrated from Abu Hanifah’ and tried to grant the Shias that we fulfill our lust through mahrams after wrapping silk.

Rizvi also mocks the Rizwan article by saying:

… the ideology of Abu Hanifah that leave aside the obligation of ritual bath, it is even permitted to fulfill one’s lust in this way through women in the prohibited degree…

In his article, Rizvi explains who Abu Hanifah is:

…let me tell you who this Abu Hanifah is. He is your Imam and a leader of the Hanafis. Among the four Sunni schools of Islamic law, Numan bin Thabit Kufi is the head of the Hanafi school. He is also called ‘Abu Hanifah (r.a.)’.

Rizvi used many instances to show how it was a normal practice for Sunnis to engage in sexual intercourse with their own mahrams (mother, sister, daughter, etc).

He quoted from Pg. 381 of the Hidayah published at Matba Shaykh Yahya:

There was complete freedom that any Hanafi could perform Nikah with his mother, sister, daughter, paternal aunt, maternal aunt, niece, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and all Mahrams and fulfill his lust through them and increase his progeny. It is written in the famous book of Hanafite teachings, Hidayah:

“If a person marries a woman with whom Nikah is prohibited and then, even if he goes to bed with her, according to Abu Hanifah the legal penalty would not be applicable on him.”

Rizvi further quoted from Pg. 381 of the Hidayah to establish the Sunni precedence of the practice:

And, according to Abu Hanifah, this marriage is correct according to the circumstance because it is capable of fulfilling the need. Women are daughters of Adam and capable of bearing children and this is the aim of marriage.

To further bolster his case, Rizvi adds another quote from Pg. 182 of Tafsir Kabir Vol. 3, Jamaliya, Egypt, First edition:

Fakhruddin Razi, a famous Sunni Imam, has described this verdict of Imam Abu Hanifah in his renowned Tafsir Kabir in the exegesis of the verse:

“Forbidden to you are your mothers…” (Surah Nisa 4:23)

“The third point mentioned by Shafei (r.a.) is that if a man marries his mother and even commits incest, the penalty is applicable to him while Abu Hanifah (r.a.) has said that the penalty is not applicable.”

Rizvi explains further, adding another academic source to the origin of the ‘wrapping silk’,:

However, Mazandarani has not used the words ‘wrapping silk’ without any reason because Imam Abu Hanifah did not want to trouble his followers by making it incumbent on them to all the time perform Nikah with mother, sisters etc. hence, he has prescribed this method for them. A verdict is present in Bahrur Raqaiq Sharh Kanzud Daqaiq (Book of Marriage) that fulfilling lust by Mahrams after wrapping silk etc. is permissible. If it is done with mahram women after a cloth is wrapped on one’s organ, its prohibition is not proved.

Rizvi further adds and refers to the Jameur Rumooz:

Similar advice is given to those who do not want to care about Islamic law during fasting days that they should wrap silk and fulfill their desires so that they remain safe of the obligation of atonement (Kaffarah) etc.

Not only this, but even the ritual bath would not become obligatory. This narration is present in Jameur Rumooz.

Hence, Aqa Mazandarani has replied that the ritual bath would be obligatory among we Shias in such a state also. However, according to Abu Hanifah, a great Imam of Ahlul Sunnat, if one copulates after wrapping silk, the ritual bath would not be obligatory on him. Not only this, but according to him, even mahrams can become objects of lust after wrapping silk.

Rizvi also quotes the stricture passed on Abu Hanifah by famous Muslim jurist, theologian, and mystic, Imam Ghazzali:

Abu Hanifah has almost destroyed the Islamic law. He made its ways dubious and changed its system..

Towards the end of his lengthy article, Rizvi adds about the Editor of Rizwan:

The editor of Rizwan would have known as to who that Abu Hanifah is, who permits fulfillment of lust even from mahrams (mother, sister, daughter, etc).

For the readers not very familiar with Abu Hanifah or the Hanafi school of Islam, here is what Encyclopaedia Britannica says about the same (Link):

Abu Hanifah, in full Abu Hanifah al-Nuʿman ibn Thabit, (born 699, Kufah, Iraq - died 767, Baghdad), Muslim jurist and theologian whose systematization of Islamic legal doctrine was acknowledged as one of the four canonical schools of Islamic law (madhhabs). The Hanafi school of Abu Hanifah acquired such prestige that its doctrines were applied by a majority of Muslim dynasties. Even today it is widely followed in India, Pakistan, Turkey, Central Asia, and Arab countries.

Interestingly Abu Hanifah is also the No. 1 source of inspiration for Asia’s largest Sunni Islamic seminary ‘Darul Uloom Deoband’. Darul Uloom Deoband has also issued countless Fatwas endorsing and eulogising him and his ideology.

One of the Fatwas (Link) by Darul Uloom Deoband says and we quote:

In Fiqh-e-Hanafi, Hazrat Imam Azam Abu Hanifah, Hazrat Imam Abu Yusuf and Hazrat Imam Muhammad (may Allah bless them) have the grade of imamah.

(Disclaimer: The article has mostly quoted from an old article of a reputed Shia scholar. Till date, he has not come across a similar counterclaim from the Sunni side.)

After Gulab Singh his son, Maharaja Ranbir Singh, occupied the throne of Jammu and Kashmir. People remember him as an ideal Hindu king because of his interest in Hindutva, Sanskrit and the Indian culture. He opened many centres for the teaching and study of Sanskrit, built libraries and made efforts for re-establishing the values of Hindu life. Under the guidance of this Maharaja a Dharmarth Trust was set up for the construction of many temples. As a result of these efforts a wave of Hindutva swept the state. The Hindu society too started to get up and the people of Kashmir became impatient in restoring to the state its ancient glory.

The impact of the wave of Hindutva was so powerful that even the converted people started making up their mind for adopting the religion of their ancestors. Muslims from Poonch and Rajouri and some from the Kashmir valley assembled and appealed to the court of Maharaja Ranbir Singh praying that they be accepted in their basic Hindu religion. It can be treated a misfortune for the country that some contractors of religion always tried to create hurdles. When the Maharaja asked the Pandits about the reconversion of their relations, the Pandits clearly refused to accept them back in Hindu religion. These very Pandits had not allowed Rinchan to adopt Hindu religion which led to the trampling of Kashmir under the feet of Muslim rulers for 500 years. And when the Muslims expressed their wish to return to the Hindu religion, these very Pandits created obstacles because of their narrow outlook.

Had the Maharaja himself declared the converted people as Hindus, the problem would have ended for ever. History can never forgive the Pandits for this antinational work.

[The shrine of Jog Maya near the Qutb Minar. Built during the reign of Akbar II (r.1806-37) at the site of an ancient temple, the Jogmaya temple is one of the most important Hindu shrines in the city, but no trace of the original survives.]

The Shrine of Jog (‘Worship’) Maya (‘Wealth, also a name for Luchmee the goddess of wealth’) at the Kootoob dedicated to Devee an Hindoo goddess is said to have been from time immemorial the site of idolatrous worship. The two temples represented were built, the one by Rana (‘King- Chief’) Peertee or Pritvy Raj (‘Peertee or Pritvy Raj: Lord of the Earth’), and the other by his chief almoner. Rana Peertee called also Rae (‘King’) Pittorah, the latter a corruption without any meaning, was the King of Ajmere and Indra (‘God of Elements’) Put (‘Town or City’) the ancient Hindoo city of Dehly, the name being derived from Delu or Dehlu, the chief Zumundar or land proprietor of the place.

It was in Pittorah’s Reign that the Afghan Emperor Shahabooddeen (‘Strength of the Fait’) Ghoree (‘Name of Family or Dynasty’) (vide page 74 [f. 72v]) invaded India. In his first expedition A.D. 1186, he took possession of Lahore. He next turned his arms against the Hindoo Princes of Hindoostan, but was defeated in his first attempt by Rae Pittorah in A.D. 1191 at Telowree, one march from Kurnaul: but in 1193 he again returned with and immense army. Pittorah was in his turn defeated and being taken prisoner in the pursuit was put to death in cold blood.

Since the introduction of the British Rule, the shrine has been much enlarged and beautified by the Hindoo nobility of Dehly. It is held in much repute by idolaters and at annual periods is visited from afar by thousands of misguided devotees who liberally according to their several means present offerings to the Goddess and make vows of future pecuniary sacrifice on the fulfilment of their hopes or prayers.

1. Sushila Nayar was only 15 when she came to the Sabarmati Ashram and then became Gandhi's intimate companion, with some periods of alienation and remove, for the rest of his life. Gandhi claimed that Nayar was a natural brahmachari, having observed it from childhood. They bathed together and even used the same bath water, but Gandhi assured everyone that he kept his "eyes tightly shut."

2. Lilavati Asar, associated with Gandhi from 1926-1948, slept in his bed and gave him "service," which meant bathing and massaging.

3. Sharada Parnerkar slept "close" to Gandhi and rendered "service." She was very ill in October, 1940, and Gandhi gave her regular enemas.

4. Amtul Salaam, whom Gandhi called his "crazy daughter," was a Punjabi from Patiala. She was also a bedmate and masseuse. Gandhi once wrote about the joy he gave Salaam when she received a massage from him.

5. Prabhavati Narayan, a Kashmiri, lived in an unconsummated marriage with Jayaprakash Narayan, Indira Gandhi's most famous political foe. Because of her lack of sexual interest or desire, Gandhi thought that Prabhavati would be a perfect married brahmachari. In addition to sleeping with Gandhi, she also gave him "service."

6. Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur, married to a Rajasthani prince, was India’s first health minister and was a Gandhi associate for 30 years. Although older, she slept right along with the younger women in Gandhi's quarters. She also helped with baths and massages.

7. Sucheta Kriplani, a member of Parliament and professor at Benares Hindu University, was a member of Gandhi’s Peace Brigade in East Bengal in 1947. She maintained a brahmachari marriage with J. B. Kriplani, a famous socialist and saint. Gandhi fought their union tooth and nail. Although Gandhi invited Mrs. Kriplani to his bed on a regular basis, he insisted that married couples in his ashrams always sleep in different quarters.

8. Abha Gandhi was a Bengali who accompanied the Mahatma in East Bengal. She started sleeping with Gandhi when she was 16; she also bathed him and washed his clothes.

9. Kanchan Shah, also a married woman, had a "one night stand" with Gandhi and was banned from brahmacharya experiments because she reputedly wanted to have sex with him. Gandhi gave the following instructions on brahmachari marriage to Shah and her husband: "You should not touch each other. You shall not talk to each other. You shall not work together. You should not take service from each other." But Gandhi of course received "service" from his women on a daily basis. On the hypocrisy of taking what he denied to others, Kumar has this to say: "The vow of brahmacharya was a revenge he took upon everyone else."

10. Manu Gandhi was his brother’s granddaughter and she was his constant companion for the last eight years of his life. Interestingly enough, there is a temple to Manu, a powerful rain goddess, in Gandhi’s home city of Porbandar.

The MHA report lists, among others, godman Chandraswami and notorious criminal Babloo Srivastava as close associates of Dawood.

Just last year they had called it a damp squib. Now it looks like another political tinderbox, awaiting ignition. In mid-1995, when the N.N. Vohra Committee report on the criminal-politician nexus was tabled in Parliament, the Opposition was united in heaping scorn on it. The perception was that the 12-page report was incomplete and politically sensitive information had been suppressed. Months later, after the episode had receded from public memory, there is evidence to confirm that suspicion. Some documents submitted to the committee by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and procured by Outlook reveal shocking charges of the murky link between prominent politicians and the underworld.

The MHA report alleges that there was a definite nexus between underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's associates and former Maharashtra chief minister Sharad Pawar. According to the report, Mool Chand Shah alias Choksi—a hawala racketeer also involved in the Jain case and "close to Dawood Ibrahim and gang"—had, on various occasions between December 1979 and October 1992,transferred or paid Rs 72 crore to Pawar. Many other Congress leaders have also been listed as recipients of money from Shah.

The report states that "between December 1979 and February 1980, Mool Chand Choksi paid Rs 7 crore to Sharad Pawar, which was received from an undisclosed source in the West". It also confirms that Choksi had "developed closeness" with Dawood and his gang way back in 1980. Shah was also responsible for transferring money for "various important people of Bombay to the Middle-East and other countries for safe caching".

Choksi is said to have paid another instalment of Rs 5 crore around May 1991 to Pawar. According to the report, "the amount was reportedly transferred from a Middle-Eastern country through the hawala channel. Reportedly, the above amounts were paid for election purposes". Shah not only provided Pawar with funds for elections but was also used by the latter to siphon money abroad. Says the report: "On behalf of the chief minister of Maharashtra, Pappu Kalyani (Kalani) had handed over Rs 20 crore to Cho-ksi in September 1990 for transferring abroad. Another amount of Rs 50 crore was transferred by Choksi on behalf of the chief minister." The deal was executed through an advocate.

The report says that Choksi had been in constant touch with Pawar till a few months before the Bombay blasts. A major transaction of Rs 10 crore allegedly took place in October 1992. In this transaction, say the documents, "Choksi delivered an amount of Rs 10 crore to the nephew of Sharad Pawar. The amount had reportedly come from the Middle-East." Shah was arrested under TADA on May 4, 1993, for funding Tiger Memon with Rs 2.5 crore for the blasts.

During the interrogation of Usman Ghani, an accused in the Bombay blasts case, it was revealed that he had established contacts with the glitterati of Bombay for siphoning their black money through the hawala conduit to foreign accounts. The report names "a very top politician of Bombay" apart from a few film stars. "Some of the important personalities whose money he (Ghani) transacted are Dilip Kumar, Feroz Khan and one Banerjee, an advocate of Bombay, who is reported to be very close to a very top politician of Bombay."

Hawala operators like Choksi mentioned in the MHA report are also involved in the new multi-crore Jain hawala scandal. Apart from Shah, the name of a Delhi-based hawala dealer, Shambhu Dayal Sharma alias Guptaji, figures in the report. It was Sharma's arrest in 1991 and his subsequent interrogation which led the CBI to raid J.K. Jain's residence, where it stumbled across the now-famous diaries. Sharma had told the CBI that he used to work for J.K Jain. The MHA reports say that Sharma had been funnelling money to politicians for over a decade.

Sharma's name first came to the notice of the authorities in May 1985 when he allegedly acted as a conduit for Choksi in a Rs 3-crore payoff to Arun Nehru, the then internal security minister.

Inquiries made by the Government agencies, on which the MHA report is based, reveals that Mool Chand Shah lived in 604, Rajendra Vihar, Guildern Lane, Lamington Road in Bombay. The hawala kingpin hails from Dhinmal village in Jalore district, Rajasthan. His father migrated to Bombay and tried his hand at the textile business. Later, the Shahs switched to the diamond trade.

Choksi's underworld activities aroused enough curiosity to prompt investigations by various agencies. But he managed to skip the dragnet of the law, thanks to his political clout. In March 1989, a detention order—No. SPL 3(A)PSA 0189/107 under COFEPOSA was issued against him. But this order was "revoked by the Government of Maharashtra" on May 10, 1990, "without assigning any reason".

The MHA report points out that "the revocation was done at the behest of the Home Minister of the Ruling Party (sic)," Arun Mehta, a close Pawar confidant. "For this action, Arun Mehta and other politicians were paid Rs 2 crore by Choksi," it notes.

The Enforcement Directorate and the Marine and Preventive Wing of the Customs, Bombay, also registered cases against Choksi in 1989 and 1990 respectively. He was arrested on November 30, 1990, in connection with one of the cases but was immediately released on bail. A development which the report clearly ascribes to his political connections. "Every time he procured his bail either on technical grounds through his lawyers or through money power."

It is also admitted that Choksi could never be interrogated at length because of the fact that he had "sympathisers" at the Centre and in the state government. He was held again in April 1991 following Sharma's arrest in connection with "an international conspiracy of funding terrorist organisations in Kashmir". Even when he was being interrogated by the Bombay police, Choksi used to claim that he could not be kept under detention for long because of his "high political connection". The report says: "He was dropping the name of Chandra Shekhar, former Prime Minister, in this connection."

A part of Dawood's operations were based in Gujarat, particularly along the coast. The MHA report also lists politicians from the state who had links with the underworld. Among those named is the then chief minister, late Chimanbhai Patel, and AICC General Secretary Ahmed Patel ( see box ).

The report, had it been tabled in Parliament along with the much-maligned Vohra panel report, would have fulfilled the objective set before it when it was constituted on July 9, 1993. After the Bombay blasts, when the then internal security minister Rajesh Pilot ordered that the committee be set up, it was asked "to take stock of all available information about the activities of crime syndicate/mafia organisations which had developed links with and were being protected by Government functionaries and political personalities."

The Vohra Committee had the information but no one in the Congress wanted it to see the light of day. The procrastinations that followed resulted in the 12 pages of generalities that has now come into the open and nothing specific about the vicious nexus in operation in three countries.

शरद पवार ने सबसे पहले किया था 'हिंदू आतंकवाद’ शब्द का प्रयोग

मुंबई [ओमप्रकाश तिवारी] हिंदू संगठनों पर आतंकवाद का ठप्पा लगाने का काम सबसे पहले शरद पवार ने किया था। वह भी 2008 में हुई साध्वी प्रज्ञा की गिरफ्तारी से ठीक पहले। केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री का पद संभालने वाले पी.चिदंबरम् एवं सुशील कुमार शिंदे ने इसके बाद ‘हिंदू आतंकवाद’ शब्द का प्रयोग किया।

29 सितंबर, 2008 को नासिक के मालेगांव कस्बे में हुए दो विस्फोटों में छह लोग मारे गए थे और करीब 100 लोग घायल हुए थे। इस घटना के छह दिन बाद ही 5-6 अक्टूबर को मुंबई से सटे रायगढ़ जिले के अलीबाग में शरद पवार की राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी का अधिवेशन था। इसी अधिवेशन के समापन समारोह में मराठा छत्रप शरद पवार यह कहते हुए पुलिस पर दोहरा मापदंड अपनाने का आरोप लगाया था। उन्होंने कहा था कि पुलिस आतंकी घटनाओं में सिर्फ सिमी जैसे मुस्लिम संगठनों की जांच करती है, बजरंग दल जैसे हिंदू संगठनों की नहीं।

पवार ने अपने संबोधन में साफ कहा था कि यदि आतंक के लिए मुस्लिमों को निशाने पर लिया जा सकता है, तो सनातन प्रभात और बजरंग दल जैसे हिंदू संगठनों के विरुद्ध कोई कार्रवाई क्यों नहीं होती ? पवार ने अपने इसी संबोधन में गृह विभाग के अधिकारियों को अपने नजरिए में बदलाव लाने के निर्देश दिए थे और कहा था कि अंततोगत्वा देश की एकता सर्वोपरि है। अन्यथा इसकी कीमत समाज को चुकानी पड़ सकती है।

पवार ने अपने इसी संबोधन में कहा था कि जो भी लोग गैरकानूनी गतिविधियों में शामिल हैं, चाहें वे बजरंगदल के हों या सिमी के, उनके साथ समान व्यवहार किया जाना चाहिए। पवार ने आगे कहा था कि समाज के किसी एक हिस्से पर ही आतंकवादी का ठप्पा लगा देना अच्छे संकेत नहीं हैं। पवार ने संवाददाता सम्मेलनों में पुलिस द्वारा आतंकियों के नाम जाहिर करने पर भी आपत्ति जताई थी।

उन्होंने कहा था कि ऐसा करने से जांच में बाधा पैदा हो सकती है। पवार ने जिस दौरान ये बातें कही थीं, उस दौरान महाराष्ट्र के गृहमंत्री उनकी ही पार्टी के आर.आर.पाटिल थे। स्वयं शरद पवार केंद्र में कृषिमंत्री थे और केंद्रीय गृहमंत्रालय के प्रभारी शिवराज पाटिल थे। राज्य में आर.आर.पाटिल एवं केंद्र में शिवराज पाटिल को अपनी कुर्सी करीब डेढ़ माह बाद हुए 26/11 के हमले के बाद छोड़नी पड़ी थी। पी.चिंदबरम् ने उसके बाद केंद्रीय गृहमंत्रालय संभाला था।

बता दें कि पवार के इस बयान के अगले दिन, यानी सात अक्टूबर, 2008 को ही मालेगांव कांड की जांच कर रहे एक पुलिस अधिकारी सावंत ने साध्वी प्रज्ञा ठाकुर को फोन करके उनके नाम से पंजीकृत एलएमएल फ्रीडम मोटरसाइकिल के बारे में पूछताछ की थी। नासिक एटीएस कोर्ट में दाखिल साध्वी प्रज्ञा के शपथपत्र में कहा गया है कि फोन पर हुई उस बातचीत में ही सावंत ने उन्हें सूरत आने को कहा, जहां साध्वी के माता-पिता रह रहे थे। 10 अक्टूबर को साध्वी सूरत पहुंचीं।

एटीएस अधिकारी सावंत ने वहीं साध्वी को बताया कि उनकी मोटरसाइकिल का इस्तेमाल मालेगांव विस्फोट में हुआ है। तब साध्वी ने सावंत को जानकारी दी कि यह मोटरसाइकिल वह अक्टूबर 2004 में ही मध्यप्रदेश निवासी सुनील जोशी को बेच चुकी हैं। सावंत 10 अक्टूबर को ही साध्वी को उनके एक साथी के साथ मुंबई ले आए, जहां उनसे पूछताछ के दौरान उनपर वो सारे जुल्म हुए, जिनकी चर्चा आजकल साध्वी प्रज्ञा प्रेस के सामने कर रही हैं। उस दौरान हेमंत करकरे ही एटीएस प्रमुख थे।

Indiabulls - Malegaon blasts connection: RVS Mani's letter to HM Amit Shah

I am the author of the book titled "Myth of Hindu Terror". I am a former officer of the Government of India who had worked in different Ministries and Departments, which includes a tenure as Under Secretary in the Internal Security Division of Ministry of Home Affairs. In the above book I have captured the manipulations of some of the political leaders during my period for furthering the false narrative of Hindu Terror.

On 3.5.2019 a discussion on Hindi Version of my book was held in Bhopal. In the said event Shri Sangle one of the Advocates of Sadhvi Pragya ji met me. Later on 14.5.2019 he had visited my residence and sought to know certain details regarding the prosecution sanction issued. I had guided him to obtain a model copy of the sanction from the same court which I had given regarding a different case, which I believe he made efforts to obtain on 15.5.2019.

On 16.5.2019 while I was coming out after performing Pradhosha Puja, at Sree Vinayaka Temple located in AB Block Sarojni Nagar, New Delhi at about 8.10 PM this incident happened. While walking toward the main road, Sree Vinayaka Mandir Marg, just opposite to AB 845 (The house in under demolition) one gentleman called me out. Since redevelopment project is going on there is a dark spot. He identified himself as from India Bulls. But what he said was surprising. He told me not to guide Shri Sangle or any other person on this Malegaon case. He said that not to advise anyone on prosecution sanction or infirmities in it. Further he also said that their man is going to be DGP Maharashtra shortly and this issue could affect his appointment as DGP. He further told me that they purchased Sandesh. I replied that I do not take sweets because of high sugar. Without further responding I walked towards my car. This person was extremely polite, persuasive and dignified.

However, I did inform one of my lawyer friends.

After further research from my team, I have been informed that Sandesh is not any sweet, but he is lawyer for NIA. Further, they have advised me that although the demeanour of the person was polite, dignified etc. I should not take this at face value and that I should inform the police.

Kindly take note of this and take appropriate action in this regard.

Is ATS Protecting Terror Groups in India at the Behest of Pakistan's ISI?

The much celebrated super cop Julio Ribeiro who was once the Police Commissioner of Mumbai had written an article titled "CM brings good cops in, keeps bad cops out" in the Times of India of July 5, 2018. In this he congratulated the then chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for resisting pressure to appoint Param Bir Singh and another “bad cop” as Mumbai Police Commissioner without naming either of the two “bad cops”. The other bad cop kept quiet, but Param Bir Singh let the world know that Ribeiro had referred to him as one of the two “bad cops” by writing an angry rejoinder to Ribeiro and demanding an apology for defamation. He himself ensured that his letter in which he lavished generous praise on himself, was published by most leading newspapers of India. Needless to say, Mr. Ribeiro did not apologize nor even bothered to engage with Param Bir Singh.

The fact that a luminary like Ribeiro chose to indict Param Bir Singh through a signed article in the Times of India speaks volumes. It is an open secret that Param Bir Singh is held in disdain by the honest among Maharashtra Police. I have heard from insiders that whenever a police officer has to refer to fellow cops who are outrageous in matters of corruption and crime, as Param Bir Singh is reputed to be, they often say, “अरे भाई, इतनी परमबीरी नहीं करनी चाहिए” (Buddies, our cops should not indulge in such brazen Parambiri).

All this is only to point out that the allegations of covering up the murderer of Sushant Singh Rajput or the draconian and lawless actions being taken by Param Bir Singh against editors, reporters and CEOs of Republic TV are totally in sync with his past history.

In my previous article posted on October 12, 2020 I had provided evidence of how Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh used Indiabulls Aviation Ltd as an accomplice in forcibly and illegally abducting Sudhakar Chaturvedi in order to coerce him into implicating himself and others like Col. Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya in the Malegaon blasts case of 2008. Col. Purohit was at that time assigned the job of cracking the SIMI terror networks set up by the ISI in India while Sudhakar Chaturvedi was an official Army source who provided Col. Purohit information on SIMI and other Islamist networks. By arresting and brutalizing both Col. Purohit and Chaturvedi, Maharashtra ATS led by Param Bir Singh and Hemant Karkare effectively sabotaged the Military Intelligence operation against SIMI in addition to exposing to Pakistan and the Islamist forces the entire network set up by Col. Purohit.

In this article, I bring evidence of some more heinous crimes committed by Maharashtra ATS under Param Bir Singh’s direct charge. These relate to the murder of Dilip Patidar.

Who was Dilip Patidar & why was he picked up by Maharashtra ATS? Dilip Patidar, a 28-year-old electrician working with a premier private hospital, was picked up by a Maharashtra ATS team on the intervening night of November 10-11 in 2008. He was picked up by a Maharashtra ATS unit from his home in Indore’s Shanti Vihar Colony. Dilip’s family is based Dupada village in Madhya Pradesh’s Shajapur district.

The only charge the Maharashtra ATS could come up with against Patidar is that at one point of time, he had been a tenant of Ramchandra Kalsangra, another person falsely accused by the ATS in the Malegaon blast case. According to sources in the ATS, Dilip was dragged into the Malegaon Blast case because the ATS wanted to blackmail Dilip into giving ATS a tutored testimony against Kalsangra and others which Dilip resisted and refused.

In sheer desperation, Dilip’s family had filed a habeas corpus petition before the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court in December 2008. The Indore bench directed the CBI to probe Dilip’s disappearance. CBI finished the investigations and found Maharashtra ATS officers Rajan Ghule and Ramesh More responsible for his disappearance.

A Special CBI judge Raghvendra Singh Chouhan had also held later that prima facie there is evidence against Ghule and More for their prosecution for criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, fabrication of evidence and other offences under the IPC.

All along the Maharashtra ATS has been using its clout through the Godfather of all mafias in Maharashtra - namely Sharad Pawar - who in turn has been using his influence to scuttle action against the two guilty cops. The statutory permission to prosecute Ghule and More was to come from the office of the Governor of Maharashtra who obliged Pawar by denying permission for prosecution.

Incidentally Param Bir Singh’s blue-eyed boy ATS officer Rajan Ghule was also a passenger on the surreptitious Indiabulls charter flight which forcibly and illegally abducted Sudhakar Chaturvedi. According to ATS sources Ghule and More worked very closely with Param Bir Singh. In all likelihood Dilip was murdered in cold blood by the two under orders from “bad cop” Param Bir Singh and his body was tagged under “unidentified bodies from the 26/11 Mumbai Terror attack”.

The allegations regarding Dilip Patidar’s unaccounted disappearance without a trace are now being probed by the National Investigative Agency (NIA) as part of its overall probe of the Malegaon blasts case of 2008.

How Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh Used Indiabulls as an Accomplice in Manufacturing Fake “Hindu Terror” Bogey in 2008

Among the many sinister acts of Sonia Congress is its dubious role in facilitating the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks in cohorts with rogue officers of Mumbai Police and in manufacturing the Fake Narrative of “Hindu Terror” in order to crush nationalist forces in India in cohorts with ISI of Pakistan.

Param Bir Singh, the present Commissioner of Mumbai Police, who is embroiled in massive controversy over his role in Sushant Singh Rajput Murder case and for filing fake criminal cases against Republic TV, was a key player in implicating many innocent persons in order to support the fake narrative of “Hindu Terror.” He was at the time Additional Commissioner of Police Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). His elevation to the Police Commissioner’s rank in Mumbai—the most coveted police posting in all of India, despite a consistently dubious track record, appears to be a reward for his role in brutalizing a number of innocent persons such as Sadhavi Pragya and Colonel Purohit at the behest of Sonia Congress backed by the D-Gang.

Case 1: 'Malegaon Blast’ Related Misdeeds of IPS Param Bir Singh & the India Bulls Connection: Among his many misdeeds in that domain, let me share a glaring crime committed by Param Bir Singh in the course of investigation into Malegaon 2008 blasts while he was Additional CP, Maharashtra ATS.

On August 9, 2010, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, one of the persons falsely implicated by Param Bir Singh in Malegaon 2008 blasts case, filed an affidavit in the Sessions Court, Nasik, describing how on October 24, 2008 he was illegally kidnapped from Nasik by officers of Maharashtra ATS under direct supervision of Param Bir Singh.

In his affidavit, Chaturvedi describes how on the night of 23rd October, 2008 he was forcibly shoved into an ATS vehicle. He was blindfolded and taken to an unknown destination. The next day (i.e. October 24) he was presented before Param Bir Singh at the ATS office in Kala Chowki, Mumbai. There he was brutally beaten up by the team of four ATS officers who also threatened to kill him. Thus far he had not been told for what crime he was being thus incarcerated.

On the night of October 24, he was taken to Santa Cruz Airport from where he was bundled into a plane chartered by India Bulls Aviation Ltd. and flown to Bhopal along with Sachin Kadam, Rajan Gole, Sunil Yadav, Sanjay Patil, Krishna Sawant, etc. Chaturvedi later found out through an RTI inquiry that the ATS registered him as a traveller in that plane under a fake name – Sangram Singh. No such person of that name flew in that aircraft.

In a Bhopal hotel, ATS officers beat him up again and forced him to sign a false confession. In Bhopal they picked up another person by the name of Sharad Kulkarni and on October 25 brought Chaturvedi and Kulkarni to Mumbai in yet another plane chartered by India Bulls. The information about the charter flights and fake name (Sangram Singh) given to Chaturvedi was obtained through an RTI application. (The two screenshots of the RTI response are given at the end of the article which list Sangram Singh as passenger No 10. See Annexure 1).

After reaching Mumbai they were driven straight to ATS office where Chaturvedi met other innocents likewise forcibly abducted by the ATS under Param Bir Singh’s charge. These included Sadhavi Pragya, Shyam Shahu, Shivnarayan, Gopal Singh Kalsangra and Major Ramesh Upadhyaya.

Chaturvedi alleges that he was kept in the ATS custody till November 4, 2008 and tortured both physically and mentally. Thereafter he was locked up in Taloja Jail.

It is noteworthy that IPS Param Bir Singh's wife, Savita Singh is currently a Director with India Bulls Properties as per a report from business research platform Tofler.

The arrest of Sangram Singh was also reported by Hindustan Times but there is no accused by the name of Sangram Singh in the Malegaon 2008 blasts case. To quote from that report dated October 27, 2008:

Malegaon blast: Focus on new outfits: The arrest of two more people on Sunday for their alleged involvement in the Malegaon bomb blast of September 29 has brought the activities of a couple of little known Hindu radical organisations into sharp focus: the Rashtriya Jagran Manchand Abhinav Bharat. The Maharashtra Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) which is probing the blast, arrested Sameer Kulkarni from Bhopal and Sangram Singh from Indore, bringing the total number of arrests to seven. Both are office bearers of Abhinav Bharat.

ATS sources admitted that they had mistakenly named the ‘Hindu Jagran Manch’ as being under their scanner. They had actually meant the Rashtriya Jagran Manch. Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, the president of the Manch, has already been held for her alleged involvement in the blast. "Brochures we have collected indicate she is its president,” said an ATS source.

The ATS also raided Pragya's rented residence in Jabalpur on Sunday, but admitted to have found nothing incriminating….

Reason For Targeting Chaturvedi: In my article on the incarceration of Lt Col Purohit by Maharashtra ATS, there is a section on why Chaturvedi was targeted by Param Bir Singh and his boss Karkare. To quote from that article:

“…there are two eyewitnesses namely Subedar Pawar and Major Praveen Khanzode - who have testified before the army Court of Inquiry that they saw Assistant Police Inspector (API) Bagade planting traces of RDX in the house of Sudhakar Chaturvedi who was one of the key links in the Intelligence Network cultivated by Purohit while he was posted at Nashik.

Sudhakar Chaturvedi was also arrested as Accused No 11 in [Malegaon Blast] case even though he was a registered intelligence operator and was entered as such in the army’s official records by Purohit. The ATS claimed him arrested on 20 November 2008 and have shown his house, which was provided to him in the cantonment area, searched under panchnama on 25 November 2008. In the charge-sheet the ATS have claimed that the traces of RDX explosives which were recovered from Chaturvedi’s house during the claimed search on 25 November 2008 prove that the bomb used in the Malegaon blast was prepared and assembled at Chaturvedi’s house at Devlali, Nashik at the behest of Purohit who was ideologically motivated to undertake bomb blasts on account of his alleged “saffron” affiliation.

However during the Army’s Court of Inquiry, Major Praveen Khanzode and Subedar Keshav R Pawar, stated that on 3 November 2008, i.e. 2 days before Purohit’s official arrest and 17 days before the arrest of Chaturvedi, that they had caught Shekhar Bagade of ATS red handed while he was planting evidence at Chaturvedi’s house. On getting caught Bagade pleaded with them with folded hands not to report his presence at Chaturvedi’s house to any one as it would create lot of problems for him and may even cost him his job. This incident was reported by Major Khanzode to all his seniors in Devlali and also to Headquarters Southern Command, Pune. (Page 330 of the Court of Inquiry Report of 8 July 2009).

Sharad Pawar as the Master Mind: It is an open secret that Sharad Pawar was the mastermind of this plot because of his cosy links with the D Gang. This fake narrative was then used by Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, P. Chidambaram, Digvijay Singh, Sushil Kumar Shinde and numerous others along with senior bureaucrats like the then Home Secretary GK Pillai and later by Home Secretary RK Singh to run a vicious demonization campaign against Hindus, both at the national as well as international level. To quote one of the many such noxious statements by Rahul Gandhi:

According to Wikileaks, Mr Gandhi told a US envoy last year there was some support among Indian Muslims for militants such as Lashkar-e-Taiba. But he told ambassador Timothy Roemer the greater threat could come from the growth of radical Hindu groups. Opposition politicians were angered, suggesting Mr Gandhi has "a sick mind".

Mr Gandhi was at a lunch hosted by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in July 2009, Ambassador Roemer wrote in a cable a month later.

He recalls Mr Gandhi saying: "Although there was evidence of some support for Laskar-e-Taiba among certain elements in India's indigenous Muslim community, the bigger threat may be the growth of radicalised Hindu groups, which create religious tensions and political confrontations with the Muslim community." The main purpose of providing these details is to point to the following criminal acts (among countless others) committed under the direct charge of Param Bir Singh in cooking up the “Hindu Terror” bogey / theory so as to protect Islamic terrorists:

1. Arrest of Chaturvedi without warrant after forcible abduction;

2. Third degree torture of Chaturvedi who had absolutely no criminal history and was in fact an official Army Intelligence source;

3. Using a charter plane paid for by India Bulls (a private company) to undertake a surreptitious trip to Bhopal instead of showing the Bhopal trip as an official one;

4. Giving Chaturvedi a false identity in the records of Santa Cruz airport plus India Bulls charter flight. Was Chaturvedi given a false name because the ATS wanted to kill him like, as according to CBI, ATS killed Dilip Patidar?

5. Falsely implicating Chaturvedi and several others in Malegaon 2008 blasts in order to protect Islamist forces working within and outside India.

Case Two: Covering Up Murder in Cohorts with India Bulls: Param Bir Singh’s name is also linked to covering up a murder case while he was Commissioner Police, Thane. I quote verbatim the report published in The Free Press Journal on March 19, 2017:

Mumbai: In what can spell trouble for Thane Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, a writ petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court seeking registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against him.

The petition filed by a Dombivli-based businessman – Kishor Sohoni – has alleged that Singh had ‘conspired’ to kill Vakola police station’s senior police inspector Vilas Joshi in 2015. Reportedly, Joshi was shot dead in the police station by police inspector Dilip Shirke. The incident was then considered as a result of the rift between the two officers over duty hours.

However, Sohoni has claimed that the incident was planned by Thane’s top cop along with his junior and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vilas Mane.

In the petition filed through his advocate Sadhna Kumar, Sohoni has stated, “Singh and Mane had conspired in this murder to save their face and to favour their friend India Bulls Director Ashok Kacker in a recovery case of Rs 100 crore belonging to a group of Indian Revenue Service officers. It is pertinent to note that Singh’s wife is associated with India Bulls.”

According to Sohoni, the director of India Bulls had allegedly duped a retired Income Tax (IT) officer of Rs 50 crore and that later the IT officer planned to kidnap India Bulls’ director. It is claimed that Joshi (who was posted at Vakola police station) had picked up the boys who were allegedly planning to abduct Kacker, but the latter refused to lodge any complaint against them. It is argued that despite Kacker’s move, these boys were illegally detained by the Thane police after taking their custody from Joshi. It is claimed that all this was done at the behest of Singh.

Sohoni has claimed that Joshi knew about the wrongdoings of the top cop and was accordingly killed.

“The petitioner (Sohoni) decided to find out the truth on his level and was shocked to know that Singh and his associates were the key conspirators behind the murder of a police officer,” the petition reads.

Needless to say that Param Bir Singh used his clout to let the case languish in courts so that the guilty have thus far escaped punishment. These are mere tip of the iceberg of the crimes committed by Param Bir Singh. Thanks to the political patronage he enjoys from Sharad Pawar and D. Company, he has continued to be rewarded for his misdeeds instead of being taken to task for them.
