In 2007 he made his debut in the 60 cc Mini class for Top Kart and started racing in Italy. He continued in the Mini class in 2008 and became the Lombardia Region champion, winner of the Vega Trophy as well as a strong ninth place in the highly competitive Torneo Industrie in Parma.
