Mark you calenders for March 24th! We will be getting together at the Bemidji Evangelical Free Church beginning at 5pm and including a silent auction, dinner, camp updates and great entertainment from camp alumni.

What we’ve done:

We have all been participating well. The girls have all been extraordinary.

How you can pray for our cabin:

That we will be able to strongly push through the end of this week and we will not just have an emotional high, but go home with changed hearts, even more in love with Jesus. Also that we will live with integrity. Please pray for the girls who are confused, that the Lord will replace the confusion with clear understanding and love for Him.

What we’ve done:

We’ve had some good one-on-ones. We’ve talked about how it’s hard to live out our faith at school and around friends.

How you can pray:

For clarity of the Gospel message and for changed priorities and values. Pray that our actions would change and that we would stop justifying wrong actions. Pray for difficult home lives. Pray for campers to be clear on what salvation is, pray that Christ would reach those campers.

What we’ve done:

We are having fun playing carpetball, nuKem, and going swimming at Benjamin. Cabin devotions have been lots of fun as well as we share what we’ve learned at chapel.

How you can pray:

For energy and continued good attitudes and the week continues. Please pray for God to move in mighty ways in everyone’s life and that no camper would leave without experiencing God’s love for them.

For starters we have a very diverse group of girls. We have girls that have been Christians their whole lives and those who are sure who God is. We had a camper accept Christ into her heart Monday night! We are learning a lot through chapels and “God and I” times.

How you can pray:

-that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts of the girls

-unity in the cabin

-strength and wisdom for the counselors

What we’ve done:

Some of us have done some crafts, gone swimming, dominated in games involving our cabin. We have been having a blast!

How you can pray:

That some of the girls can really open up and feel God’s love this week. Also pray that our girls will get along and not put each other down.

staff kids prayer update

The staff kids say: they’re having fun and aren’t fighting, they are helping with the games, they’re being very kind, we got a new tetherball today, S & K are the funniest campers and N, J, & P are the funniest counselors, along with Mrs. Billy Bob Jones. They ask you to pray for the campers to trust in Jesus and to know Jesus.

Chapel time prayer update

The kids are loving the songs and lessons that our speaker Darlene is bringing them. They are listening quite intently overall. Please pray for each of them to trust Jesus and to know Him better.

Maintenance prayer report

Maintenance staff has been busy keeping the bathrooms clean, picking up groceries each day, mowing, keeping the camp clean, etc. Staff ripped off the “lean to” on the caretaker’s garage so a new roof can be put on in the near future. (Fun fact: The lean-to used to be the girls outhouse before we had indoor plumbing here at DLBC. On one of the walls was written, “Brenda Bordeau Walker, Minn 1954″)-the more things change, the more things stay the same.
