What to look for while buying a Stroller?

Do we ever give a thought before buying anything? I guess no, what we all do is whenever there is a need we just buy it. But, have you ever thought of the long term aspects associated with the product that you want to buy.

Rather the process should, think before buying. Here we have listed 10 things that need to be considered while buying a stroller.

1. No. of kids you plan to have – This will tell you whether you need a multiple occupancy stroller or a single occupancy. And if the gap between the kids is quite enough you might need to consider a good quality stroller that may last long.

2. Easy latch and unlatch system – The latching and unlatching system in a stroller need to comfortable for baby as well as you. You should not jiggle around while latching and unlatching your baby into the stroller.

3. Adjustable canopy and Seat – The canopy helps protect your kid from rain, wind, cold and sun. It should be an adjustable one so that you can set it accordingly. Same is the case with the seat.

4. The Stroller frame – there are strollers made from plastic, steel, aluminum and a combination of different materials. The steel and aluminum ones are long lasting but heavy whereas the plastic ones are lightweight but not long lasting. So here you need to think what is the priority? Lightweight or Durable?

5. Must be washable fabric – The fabric should be easily removable and washable. This is necessary to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.

6. Storage area – You would not want to carry a bag and push a stroller at the same time. Rather look for a stroller that has a storage area where you can keep the necessary items like, diapers, bottle, baby’s favorite toy and other essentials.

7. Adjustable Handle height – Obviously you won’t want carrying your baby in stroller causing you back pain. For this matter, look for a stroller that comes with an adjustable handle height system.

8. Brakes and swivel wheels – these two things are a must in every stroller for easy riding and kids safety

9. Wide wheel base – Wide base wheels provide more stability than others.

10. Easy Open and close mechanism i.e. easy to fold and unfold.
