Hi everybody! Long time, no blog, but Mexico was super productive and I'm feeling really great about our 4th annual event in November! Somebody asked what my job is, which is sort of hard to explain. Basically, I head up B2B marketing for a digital media company and studio. Within that falls producing offline events for major clients, such as premiere parties or video game launches. There's lots of other facets to the job (people usually introduce me to new co-workers as "she does tons of things"), but my favorite is undoubtedly producing this "thank you" event in Mexico each year for clients. Hope that helps a little?

Tori Spelling seemed to be every place I was. I will say, even with two nannies, she was a super hands on mom. At dinner on the final night, I swear she never sat down between cutting her kids food, cajoling Liam to eat his plain buttered noodles (they are just like what you have at home), and bouncing one baby or another on her hip when they cried. Those babies look practically like twins, they are both such babies!

Jumping back into the blogging with a quick fashion post with some of the many who attended the launch of Domaine, the latest site from the ladies behind Who What Wear. Lea Michele was actually profiled on the site at launch, having a room madeover by the multi-talented Estee Stanley. Not only is she the Editor for Domaine, she has a line of home accessories with Justin Timberlake, runs a Tumblr blog about children's fashion with designer Jenni Kayne, is a working interior decorator, event producer, and fashion stylist to the likes of Lea Michele and Jessica Biel. Talk about a renaissance woman.

Lea was on hand to attend the launch party in Beverly Hills last night, wearing Alon Livne and a darker than usual spray tan. Homegirl hates being pale! This dress reminds me of a painting I've had my eye on; I'm really into pinks and golds together right now.

Sophia Bush has had more misses than hits on the red carpet ever since debuting her bangs. However, I dig this Catherine Malandrino look. It works on her.

Minka Kelly wore a sweet little Christian Dior flared dress with some blue Jimmy Choo heels and super light makeup.

DON's Deal: Punta Mita

Can't believe it's that time again, but I'm off on my annual scouting trip to Mexico! I've decided we are going to switch locations every two years so this scouting trip is back to Punta Mita where I will work on tweaks to change up and perfect the trip we did last year. You can follow along on Twitter and IG where I'm sure to be super obnoxious but hopefully you'll see some really cool things.

Here are some of the stops on my agenda:

St. Regis Punta Mita - where we'll stay, spa, meet with day activity vendors, and party plan
Four Seasons Punta Mita - dine around restaurant options
Imanta Resort - just to check it out, do a property inspection with the GM, and have dinner
Sufi - Maybe for welcome reception? Love the pool area for cocktail hour.
China Blanca - aka the house Bradley Cooper owned in Limitless. May rent for final night party
Casa Tres Soles - the house I rented last year and loved (except for being thrown in the pool in my cocktail dress)

My event planner is from my hometown so I love catching up with her during our downtime. This is my 9th trip to Mexico for work and I gotta say it just never gets old. I look forward to this every year because I truly love all the co-workers and most of the clients that come along each November.

Memorial Day is fast approaching (followed by the oh-so-awesome Independence Day) and my brain is on all things red, white, and blue! Cara Delevingne was gorgeous at Cannes in black lace and silk Burberry. She sure does the brand proud! Stay away from Leo!!

It makes me so happy to see Carey Mulligan wear her hair down for once! She looks so young and lovely. She wore a pale pink Dior gown.

Isla Fisher in a sweet red Oscar de la Renta tiered gown.

Solange has a very quirky sense of style, but this doesn't work for me at all.

Lana del Rey wore a sweetheart gown to perform her song from the Gatsby soundtrack, Young and Beautiful.

Paz Vega in a see-through Cavalli gown.

Julianne Moore has the glossiest locks! She wore a strapless Dior with some sky heels heels. What a weird length for this dress!

Freida Pinto captured a lot of attention in a hot pink halter Gucci gown.

Her braided hair, side bun thing is a little weird though.

Love Nicole Kidman in this Dior gown. She looks youthful in a way I feel like her column gowns never make her look. Love the bright, happy colors.

Cindy Crawford wore a plunging white Cavalli gown.

Georgia May Jagger was also in a plunging Cavalli.

At a photocall earlier, Isla wore a sweet white Dolce dress. She has been very feminine and girly in her clothing choices while promoting this flick. I like it on her.

Star Trek Premiere: Saldana, Beckisale, Morrison, Eve

Zoe Saldana arrived at the LA premiere of Star Trek in a silk, peek-a-boo Rodarte with ruffles.

Alice Eve looks intense in a Zuhair Murad dress. It's gorgeous on her and I bet Zuhair devotee Carrie Underwood would love to shorten this a foot and get her gams in it.

Surprisingly, the best dressed of the night was Jennifer Morrison, who has made some disappointing choices previously. I love her in this sequined jumpsuit by Georges Chakra, the color is just perfect on her.

A peek from the front. Normally "sequined jumpsuit" would make the think "only when performing a pop concert", but I think it works.

Great pony, light done right makeup, and love those earrings.

Maria Menounos also wore a jumpsuit. She is gearing up to promote her reality show launching on Oxygen.

Kate Beckinsale wore an asymmetrical Alberta Ferretti dress and some fun Jimmy Choo heels.

Celebrity Mother's Day: Alba, Witherspoon, Berry, Jones

Hope you all had lovely mother's day celebrations! Jessica Alba, along with her mom, was treated to brunch in Beverly Hills.

They day before she did some shopping with her eldest in the cutest Sam and Lavi maxi. I actually had the shorter version of this dress in my cart from Piperlime before they ran out of my size, but they still have sizes at Farfetch.

Halle Berry, expecting baby number 2, spent time with her daughter, Nahla.

January Jones and her son Xander took their pup for a walk. Yes, I think her baby looks an awful lot like Jason Sudeikis.

Reese Witherspoon and her hubby watched son Deacon play softball. It was awfully hot here yesterday. I took Tamale on a hike up in Agoura Hills and the poor little babe was melting. I hate to think hiking season is already over for us, but I won't be home for the next three weekends anyway.

Met Gala Fashion 2013: A Pinch of Punk

Here's the girls who kinda tried to go punk. Emily Blunt wore Carolina Herrera and spiced it up with (gulp) pink eyeshadow, punky hair, and some sharp accessories.

I really love this dress. It is womanly, sexy, curvy, all those good words.

Nearly everything she wore in Devil Wears Prada was more on punk point.

Cameron Diaz in a Stella McCartney cape dress. And a spiked belt. Too tight, pretty reminiscent of Gwyneth's Tom Ford caped dress, but pretty.

What happened to the always amazing Claire Danes? I find this to be so safe for her. Like how Aniston would do punk. It's not even flattering.

Marion Cotillard could also try a bit harder than a peek of color on her Dior and some houndstooth heels.

So very safe, Emma Roberts. Safe in DVF.

Emmy Rossum is stun-ning in Donna Karan. This is an Oscars dress.

Subtly punk Julianne Hough in Topshop.

If I want Kate's abs, I also want Julianne's back.

I really liked all the black bobby pins making art in her hair. I thought that was a cool, very different touch.

Yes, you found a flattering dress finally, thank you DVF, but a faux hawk doesn't make you punk, Jennifer Morrison.

Met Gala Fashion 2013: Pretty Pretty Princesses

Some of Hollywood's heavy hitters decided it was punk to look "pretty" rather than attempt the theme. Most of them look really beautiful, but not right at all for the occasion.

Heidi Klum was my second biggest frustration of the night in my beloved Marchesa. This is what a beautiful 40 year old bride should look like. This is so not punk and she looks like she ran out of time to do her hair and makeup. For somebody so experimental with fashion, this was a puzzler.

The next post I write will have people who barely tried to incorporate the theme. Emilia Clarke can't even make it into that category with those cross earrings. This dress is way more Oscars than punk.

Really, Gwyneth? I don't understand this choice at all. That sleeve length is the absolute worst.

Hailee Steinfeld is completely adorable in Donna Karan.

Kylie Minogue is super girly in Moschino.

Just get out of here, Renee Zellweger in your Prada and chignon. I did think that was a raccoon tail on her side, which would have been disgusting but kinda punk.

Zooey Deschanel wore a gingham Tommy Hilfiger. And no bangs. Who is she? I can only assume there are black tights under there.

Carey Mulligan in Balenciaga. Perfect for a Gatsby premiere. Not Met worthy.

Michelle Williams in Saint Laurent. Seriously? This is the tamest thing she's ever worn.

How you gonna go from some killer awards season dresses to the only boring Burberry dress on the red carpet? Seriously, this is a dress for the Oscar nomination luncheon. NOT MET.

Another disappointment in Dior. Lee Lee Sobieski never makes me smile.

Katie Holmes was beautiful in Calvin Klein. Just needs a touch of lip color and maybe a bracelet?

Met Gala Fashion 2013: Embellished and Intricate

Lots of these ladies had little or nothing to do with punk, but they arrived in some seriously glam dresses. I love a dress with lots of detail and embellishment and these girls do, too.

Rooney Mara killed it in Givenchy. A delicate lace number that went daring, paired with some of her favorite goth makeup.

She looked incredible. Say that with a French accent like me.

Talk about a vixen. Amber Heard, who is back together with Johnny Depp, never fails to wow me on the red carpet. Her stunning red embellished dress is Emilio Pucci.

Serious siren.

Minka Kelly wore Carolina Herrera. I wavered back and forth on how I felt about this dress. It is too tight, something that makes me nuts when these girls go through multiple fittings, and has a ton going on, but it is really intricate and unusual. Maybe it is just a bit much with the hair, heavy makeup and super detailed dress? Almost all competing for where my eye should land.

Katy Perry loves her a costume and she took her stage persona to the Met in Dolce and Gabbana.

Paloma Faith is not playing games in Michael Cinco. I gag at the gloves into dress thing (worse on Kim), but I do think this is an incredibly impressive appearance.

True to her baby grandma, Mrs. Havisham loving self, Ashley Olsen wore a dress by her line, The Row, that Mrs. Roper would have found grade A fabulous.

Kate Bosworth's heavy metal dress is so beautiful and so Balmain. However, the 80's belt and that extremely short hemline (on her teeny tiny pins) make this seem more club goer than Met. Let's be glad Kim didn't get her hands on this first; she loves her some Balmain. What did you think? Perfection or mis-styled?

Kate Mara in Delpozo by Josef Font cannot touch her sister's look.

This is definitely not Met worthy IMHO.

Taylor Swift doing punk could have been so much worse than Miley trying it. Glad she didn't try to go too far outside of her comfort zone in J.Mendel.

I was so disappointed by Jennifer Lawrence in Dior. Seriously, we've seen this before. So tame. Such a huge bummer.

Ginnifer Goodwin has one knockout Tory Burch dress paired with makeup that makes her look like Bert from Sesame Street.

Brooklyn Decker in a patterned Peter Pilotto. A record number of short dresses this year!

Leslie Mann in J.Mendel. I think it didn't need the necklace, it's a cool dress.

Met Gala Fashion 2013: Goth Glam

There were some dresses that pointed more towards Goth than Punk. Here's some ladies going for drama in black. Let me know who you think made it happen.

Beyonce brought out major drama in Givenchy. This looks like something her mother would have designed for Destiny's Child to wear to the MTV Awards where Kelly would be in a mini dress and matching hat and poor Michelle would be stuck in some hideous embroidered pantsuit. I know a lot of people are loving this, but it's not my favorite at all.

Ashley Greene likes to look sophisticated and often older than she is. She collaborated with Marchesa on this voluminous embroidered ballgown. Not sure about this weird hair.

So is it an upgrade or downgrade from her normal fashion?

Lena Dunham needs some posing lesson in Erdem. One of the better dresses she's worn, but still not super flattering. Given the occasion, I feared for far worse from her.

Big, bold risks taken by Allison Williams in an Altazurra that puddles into the ground.

While her Golden Globes look this year was far more goth, this dress has hints of another time. Maybe an Art Deco punker? Giuliana Rancic's dress is by Falguni and Shane Peacock. I love her new bob, it is so cute on her, but we see it so much, I was hoping for some punk hair!

Speaking of bold hair, Anne Hathaway went blonde and wore a Valentino dress. I know you hated it when she said it's "vintage...from 1992". I actually think this dress looks far better in photographs than it did on the live stream. It's bold and very daring. Not so punk to me with those feather sleeves, more boudoir.

Diane Kruger takes Chanel about as goth as she can.

She tried to play up the theme with her hair. Me likey.

Now this just looks straight off a movie set. Lily Collins in Moschino is a bit much.

Hilary Rhoda did a great job asking the same four questions all night in Wes Gordon.

Nina Dobrev went for it in Monique Lhuillier. She was my favorite pants-wearer.

Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli. Too pretty, not enough edge at all.

Kristen Stewart in Stella McCartney. I think nobody looks good in red/pink eyeshadow, I'm sorry it just looks like allergy season to me. Daring, yes. Flattering not in the least.

Preggo Jaime King wore a Topshop tuxedo with a studded headband.

FINALLY we have the return of Blake Lively to the red carpet! It's about time. And with Emma Stone still red carpet MIA, we needed her. She wore a very pale green Gucci gown with a very dramatic train. Love it.

And I love her hair. Somebody who knows how to be interesting and pretty at the same time.

Look at Kiki! She is beautiful in LV.

Get sassy girl! There was SO MUCH side boob last night. Is that punk?

L-O-V-E Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Gucci. Again, daring, tough, and beautiful all at once.

Uma Thurman went way more pretty than punk, especially with those major shoulder bows, in Zac Posen (but looks really lovely).

Points for trying for Julianne Moore in Balenciaga. I did not expect her to embrace the punk, but she tried. I love this color on her, but this dress isn't the most flattering.

When I saw Kate Upton, I literally yelled at my computer screen "GO HOME!" Ugh!! How are you going to score a ticket to the biggest night in fashion and not even try? You are not cool enough to play the I don't care card and this dress is the most boring thing I saw all night. BOO HISS! (Sorry DVF)

Met Gala Fashion 2013: Studs and Plaids

Part of what was so exciting about last night was that the theme of making punk into couture is practically an oxymoron. It was really interesting to see who gave it there all, who interpreted the theme well, who went way too literal, and, worst of all, who didn't even try. Here's some of the most literal punks in plaid and studs.

Madonna in Givenchy. I mean, it's not a traditional couture gown, but I cannot fault her. She kills it. I also just watched Truth or Dare for the first time (not sure how that is possible) and I am loving her anew.

Gisele Bundchen is always one of the most show-stopping on the red carpet. I have no idea how she was not flashing everything in this dress, but she completely rocks it. Short, chained, with spiky accessories, she made me proud by not going over the top with her hair and makeup.

Christina Ricci in Vivienne Westwood. I give her an A for effort. This is dangerous, but whole-heartedly embraces the idea of punk going couture and not simple being punk. If she ditched the tights, I think I would have liked it even more.

I know I'm inclined to love this look because it is a) Burberry and b) Cara Delevigne, but I really thought it was one of the best punky-couture dresses. It has edge and drama, but is still beautiful and pretty. Maybe it bores you, but I thought it was great.

Stacy Keibler, one I'm inclined to dislike, and it's not my favorite. Tell me if I'm wrong, it's just kind of trying too hard to me with the shoes and dress together.

And here is an example of way too far. This looks like Halloween. Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs coule have actually been nice if she wore her hair in a normal way. What Madonna can get away with, I don't feel Miley can.

Sienna Miller also wore Burberry. Another one I think looks really beautiful while taking the trend to heart.

Workin' It Out: Kate Hudson

I'm completely slammed today and with the anticipation of the Met Ball fashion ahead, I'm trying to get everything in. But I had to stop and share these pics of Kate Hudson. Not many mothers of 2 (or women in their 30s or women period) would feel comfortable and confident in tiny shorts and a belly shirt, but this lady has owned it. Holy cow!

Hi abs. Excuse me while I drop and do some sit-ups.

I love love love that Kate is honest about how hard she works on her body. She does a combo of pilates, yoga, and cardio (mostly running) to look this good, as coached by her long-time trainer Nicole Stuart. Nicole actually has an exercise app that I have used while traveling, but maybe I should be using it on the regular. Kate also kicked it into high gear after both of her pregnancies. After baby #2, she said , "I would do 45 or 55 minutes of cardio, then an hour of Pilates or yoga, three times a day." Did you catch that last part? THREE times a day, or nearly 6 hours of exercise. That is some extreme dedication!

I'm curious as to what you all do for exercise? I was steady with the SPX pilates for the first couple months of the year, but have been jogging, hiking, and doing Zumba as of late. And I finally committed to some weight lifting, it was overdue.

Friday Fashion: Black, White, Pink, Gold

Kristin Cavallari wore matching stripes with her son as she grabbed lunch in Los Angeles. She paired her dress with Chinese Laundry wedges.

Not sure who Hilary Duff's stylist is, but she put her in the same dress as Real Housewife of Orange County Alexis Bellino this week. I actually thought Alexis looked pretty good on WWHL in this Torn dress. But maybe you wait a week or two before trying it yourself, eh Hil?

Speaking of twinsies, Zooey Deschanel sported a Dolce & Gabbana skirt previously worn by Kim Kardashian.

No surprise she hiked it way up, but surprising to see how similarly they styled it!

Julianne Hough wore a red Carolina Herrera to a Women's Cancer Research fundraiser in NYC. TG she didn't wear red shoes! She knows what she is doing.

This morning I started watching Bachelorette starring four chicks I'm all about: Kiki, Janis Ian, Rebel Wilson, and Isla Fisher. I seriously never watch movies, maybe 5 a year, which is the only reason I haven't seen this gem yet. Isla is currently promoting The Great Gatsby, which may actually get me into the theater for the first time this year.

How incredible does Isla look in this Michael Kors top and shorts (previously worn by Nina Dobrev)? I cannot get enough gold right now. I was texting with my friend Dee Dee yesterday who wanted styling advice for an event tonight. When we started talking about accessories, I told her I've started accessorizing like a mob wife so if she wasn't wearing gold, I wasn't going to be a huge help. Basically, I'd wear this look in a heartbeat, but cannot find this shirt for the life of me.

Isla loves wearing white and it sure works for her. She wore Chloe embellished trousers with a Van Cleef chain.

I am in love with this white eyelet Lover dress she worn to a promo interview. I'm fixing to try this on this weekend after some sun time with sissy. But right now I am thinking about how long until I can get home, pour me a Muddle Puddle, and finish Bachelorette with Tamale.

The Great Gatsby NYC Premiere

The Great Gatsby premiered in New York last night with some pretty major dresses on parade. Isla Fisher is just gorgeous in a floral Dolce with a sheer lace skirt. So much going on in one dress, but I think she made it work. Normally, I'd want the hair up, but her hair is too pretty to hide.

I heard you about the lack of makeup on Mulligan and it really shows here. Not even some jewelry? While her red Lanvin dress is beautifully cut, her platform black heels really do nothing for this look. A bummer for me.

Not a bummer was this little Australian spitfire Adelaide Clemens, who plays Isla's sister in the film, in this hot custom A.L.C. dress.

Just look at all that bead work and intricate patterns. I love it.

Nina Dobrev also wore a patterned, beaded dress. Hers is by Versace. She is rocking that fresh Miami tan! I also love her gold heels. They are by the quickly rising in popularity British designer Rupert Sanderson.

Jennifer Morrison in Dolce. Not flattering, bad cuts, bad tone, with a bad shoe pairing and a bad clutch. What a big fat lost opportunity.

Jennifer Lawrence skipped the red carpet and attending in a Viktor and Rolf dress that I can't seem to find a full length photo of. But I love what I see here. Please don't let her be dating Leonardo DiCaprio, who has a penchant for gorgeous, young, tall blondes. He split with VS model Erin Heatherton.

Tobey McGuire came with jewelry designer wife Jennifer Meyers. Her shoes are cool. Love them together, they seem to have a pretty normal relationship.

Jennifer Aniston stepped out to promote her long time yoga instructor's new book, Yogalosophy, in Stella McCartney. Her figure is one of the most admired and requested at plastic surgeon's offices, so I'm guessing this book is going to do well. Last night I went to charity event where Craig Ferguson declared himself as team Jolie. It seemed like kind of a dated joke, but ended up being really hilarious.

Kate Beckinsale is also a client of the yogi, as are Brooke Shields and Helen Hunt, all ladies with enviable figures. Guess this chick knows her stuff!

Not sure if Courteney Cox is a client or was out to support Jennifer, but after 22 years of Jen and Mandy working together, I'm going to guess Courteney has crossed paths with her.

In New York, pre-celebrations continued for The Great Gatsby. By boss asked me why every girl he knows seems so excited for this movie. Oh I don't know, the classic story, the incredible costumes, Baz Luhrman? We like pretty, sparkly things, including DiCaprio. Carey Mulligan wore Prada.

Katy Perry also wore Prada to the event, which featured the dresses from the film.

My favorite was Isla Fisher in, you guessed it, Prada.

Lookie, lookie, more hot pink! Isla did additional promotions in Jenni Kayne and 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Emilia Clarke attended a Actors Fund event in a lovely Christian Dior cocktail dress. She looks flawless.

Zoe Saldana is just built for high fashion. This Balmain dress is more costume that clothing and that skirt length is about the most daring I've ever seen, but she pull is it like a pro. I pity the girl who has to stand next to her.

And that girl is Alice Eve. Alice looks fantastic in a red Pucci dress, but can't compete with the cool factor that is Zoe.

Gwyneth Paltrow went with a classic look for Chelsea Lately in a white tee, black leather leggins, and simple pumps that look red in this pic, but I believe were hot pink. Hot pink is everywhere right now!! It's making me regret packing a simple black dress for my event tonight instead of a hot pink one.

Kaley Cuoco donned the happy color for a charity event in Los Angeles as the new spokeslady for Priceline. Those shoes though...
