By, Andrew Guy

What is a Leader?:

You were born a leader before you became one. The heart of leadership is just that; it's a matter of the heart. It is not the position which makes one a leader, nor the amount of responsibilities that determines how well you lead; rather, it is the unseen duties you perform and the purpose you were called by. Leadership is more than just telling others why, when, where, and what to do, it is the ability to bring about an insightful level of awareness among a group of people or individual regarding a current position or state you desire to change. Having done so, it is the duty of a leader to express, wittily, his/her vision to accomplish the task(s). There are no blueprints for effective leadership, only the one you create. This means, you must lead by example. Never be timid to take a position; after all, it is your difference in viewpoint which makes you unique. Not your ability to speak.

Quick example: Moses of the Bible was one of the greatest leaders ever recorded in history, but in his mind he doubted his ability to speak and God gave his Joshua. Therefore, if you doubt your speaking powers, find the problem that causes the glitch to occur and work on it. Get others to help you if you must, but get it done. Having done it for more than twenty-one days, overcoming your fears will become a lasting habit. Plus, if you have a heart for others you are a leader; your only challenge is to step into it.

Traits of leader:

Leaders seldom criticize others; that is, a good leader should not. Because, the time spent critiquing others could be used to develop a point of weakness in you. Effective leaders never look for excuses to make a change, they look for causes worthy of a change-a futuristic change that will benefit the community. A leader who seeks accolades never achieves anything noteworthy; instead, a good leader is one who believes that all things are possible with time and is dedicated to seeing a set goal come to pass.

Great leaders never seek to find the right team or environment to work with or in; they sought for opportunities to make the refused and cast-out become acceptable and remembered.

Discovering Your Leadership niche:

Your greatness is never out there, but inside of you. Your leadership will take you to places you only dreamed of, but the power to lead is not what others think about you; it is how you see and think about yourself. To be a great leader you must be anxious to hear and slow to speak. You will find that we have two ears for a reason. Your goal as a leader is to do the math; that is, pay close attention to everything that you have in pairs of two and use them! You have them for a reason. Use them more often than the ones that come in singles. Leading begins with you and ends with others in mind. Remember, while patience may be an asset, timing is everything. Step to the plate and hit a grand slam... Lead the world!

Book Andrew for your next meeting or school event. Real communication is a process, not a moment of verbal exchange:

The communication process is different for men and women. For most men, I know I do, prefers notes in the form a messages. So ladies do us a favor: Send a postcard or Send an email. Men; ask, ask, ask, and then ask your wife some more: what can I do for you today? And really mean it. Because women were created to help; so men, share your dreams and aspirations with your wife. It makes for an even greater partnership. Better yet, if you want to see her bloom right in front of your face, even in the middle of winter, just start by allowing her to help you with your visions.
Guys, she loves this kind of stuff; plus, it's really fun working together--that is, after you've worked out some of the kinks. You stand to benefit from the great conversation and bonding time you'll have. Go for walks, share in the activities that the other person does: sports, leisure, reading, spiritual, sensual, physical, intellectual and educational.

So why do marriages fail?

Marriage never fails anyone; it is people who fail marriage. Better yet, a marriage is ONLY as good as the two people in it, the ingredients. Hence, is the ingredients are bad, chances are the product will be too. The only problem with marriage is that you cannot recall the product after the damage has been done. You may remember how Toyota's massive recall caused hundreds of thousands of Toyota owners to lose faith in their product. The key here is faith. If you lose faith in anything you do, failure is inevitable. Yet even though you may go through the fire for your marriage, having the right communication tools can restore your marriage. You can begin today! I've provided some helpful steps below:

Another reason why most marriages fail is because we expect more from it than we are willing to put in. Take for example, you go to the bank, the teller says, "next please!" You then walked up to the counter and demanded a ten thousand dollar withdrawal, ($10,000) when in fact, you are quite aware that you do not have an account with that bank. The same is true with marriage. How can you draw from something you did not invest in? Divorce is a result of people whom have lost faith in their ability to invest the necessary time to make marriage work. But on the contrary, they still expect to receive the ten-fold benefits that comes with it. A best practice to defeat divorce is to be mindful of the things you focus on. If you are negative, negatives you'll get. Put up some pluses, they will make a fence around you and keep you protected. Divorce-proof your marriage today! And remember, marriage is like love, they never fails; we fail them!

Focus on the pluses: Men, we've got work to do

More...Do the little things, kiss her as frequent as possible:

More...Don't wait for her to say, "I Need"...just do it, meet her needs

More..Beef up your communication skills. Learn to listen more than you speak.
Chances are, you stand to learn more listening than speaking.

More...Mold her into what you want her to be...remember, they did not come pre-designed with all your expectations, so, you need to motivate her to accommodate. I can't say it enough: invest more into foot rubs, back rubs, pampering, and instead of taking her out to dinner, you cook the food...believe me...there's another road to the heart for men as well as women...the stomach...

Ladies, you too, have much work to do also:

Pick the right time to bring issues to the table
Don't be a nag
Always meet him at the door when he returns from work or other outings
Kiss him goodnight
Always wear sexy underwear to bed
Find a reason to whisper in his ears, even if none of what you say makes sense, just (gibberish)!!!

The difference between the RICH AND THE POOR IS A DREAM!
If you really believe this, then there's no separation between the classes, only thinking makes it so.
The power to emancipate yourself from mental slavery is in your power to dream: think the unthinkable, the never-before-thought-of, and in so doing you must be prepared for adversity once you begin to dream.

No one likes a dreamer, but life embraces the results of his dream because he has given birth to something never done before, and life in itself will never be the same...change is a result of dreamers. You are rich if you dream, and you are poor if you fail to see the importance of a dream. Hence, don't just have them, follow them to the depths of the sea and to the dawn of the rise moon.

From a psychological perspective, our responses to environmental stimulus, and issues pertaining to life, anxiety level is said to be a key factor in how humans perceive and react. It comes without saying; everyone does not posses the same abilities, especially where test taking is concerned, but all can adopt and improve. Each individual may vary, and in most cases, significantly, depending on their level of exposure and adaptability.
The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Anxiety: A Guide to Breaking Free from Anxiety, Phobias, and Worry Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

While test taking may just be a tip of the iceberg, there is a great deal of mental acuity that is involved in becoming efficient at any task that requires a high level of concentration. I am what you consider a "not-so-good" test taker; at least, I used to be. This problem has affected me throughout my college career, but I have learned how to overcome by applying a few techniques, which I deemed might also help you.

It has been since recent that I am becoming more comfortable with taking tests. Consequently, I don't think the problem lies in the actual taking of the test, but rather, the moments prior to performing the actual task. I have tried many suggestions, including those offered to me by friends and college professors. Did they work? Well, a few of them did, but the results were questionable. I am a good student, and for the most part, can very good when I put things into perspective. I study hard, sometimes even more than I should, but I still do not produce the way I know I can.

I have had some of the toughest classes in my career, but none so hard that distorted my confidence. Mind you, I posses a high self esteem and great poise in abilities. Therefore, I do not think my study habits are appalling; in fact, they just don't measure up to the amount of effort I put in tests preparation. For example, the night before the test, I would review what I have studied days in advance. I get adequate sleep, and set aside ample time for relaxation. However, moments before the test, I start to question myself; wondering whether or not I had covered everything. Deep down I know I have, but, based on the subject matter, I somehow feel under prepared. Does that ever happen to you?

I mean, moments leading up to the test, my palms began to sweat and my mind became discombobulated with information irrelevant to the actual test. My next reaction would be to try and figure out which parts, if any, of the material had I left out. By this time, I begin to feel the need to review again; and it is at this time that all the material became unfamiliarly foreign to me.

According to psychologists, Good tests define and energize the teaching/learning process; bad tests ruin it. Both teachers and students benefit from tests. Teachers need to know what students have internalized from their lessons in order to select and focus subsequent lessons. Tests provide that information. Students need to review, organize, structure, recall and apply new learning to make it their own. Tests measure their progress toward that goal said, School psychologist Beth Bruno.

During the test, I would normally start by scanning to the entire test to see what, if anything, looked familiar, and if not, I would then proceed to the area that seem easiest. More times than any, I would start with the multiple choices. By doing this, I felt it would boost my chances of obtaining a reasonable score. Sometimes it works, and other times it shatters my score and tarnished my performance.

I have always loved the Sciences because I thought scientist were the wisest of all people among humans. Their ability to collect data, analyze and interpret and synthesize the world through test and experiments seemed adventurous. Although, among the Sciences Physics and Organic Chemistry remain the hardest for me. And often times, after having reviewed the test and saw my foolish mistakes, I knew that I could have done better.

Having thoroughly researched information on test anxiety, I have come to this conclusion; as a test-taker thinks, so does his environment materializes. The reality of that statement when simply put, is that, we all have some control over the final outcome.

Whether temporary or permanent, what we receive is a direct result of that which we perceive mentally. As a result, negative thinking is the root of poor test performance, and I was the patient. As stated in a report, thought awareness, rational thinking and positive thinking tools help foster the right environment for the mind to function at its best. Experts call this process cognitive therapy or "Cognitive Restructuring." Thought awareness is a technique whereby the individual examines his or her thought process, and determines if the current thought promotes a positive outlook or a negative one. If the thought does not coincide with the desired goal, the individual is advised to reconstruct their mental state by refocusing only on those things which lead to positive results. Examples of negative thoughts can be lack of confidence in test-taking abilities; believing the worst at all times, and been overwhelm with the feeling of ill-equipped and doubts. All these and many others aid in suppressing the positive feedback mechanism which increases creativity and optimal performance.

On the other hand, Drs. D. Greenberger and C. Padesky, from their book (Mind over Mood) suggest that in order for poor test-takers to become more proficient at test taking, they need to apply the following strategies:

1. Write down the situation that triggered the negative thoughts
2. Identify the moods felt in the situation
3. Record the automatic thoughts that are experienced when they are felt
4. Identify the evidence that supports these hot thoughts
5. Identify the evidence that does supports these hot thoughts
6. Identify fair, balanced thoughts about the situation
7. Observe your mood now and think about what you are going to do

Scientist believe that this procedure will force the individual to analyze his thoughts, before and after, then determine the priority of the thought in terms of whether or not it useful for dealing with the current situation.

After reexamining my reaction to text taking, I now see how positive thinking can be used to foster a better frame of mind. I believe if I had applied one or more of the techniques listed above, my level of anxiety would have been lessened. Sometimes the pressures of doing well, getting the GPA needed for entrance into college programs, can be enough to change the course of a test result, but they do not have to be the determining factor; mental preparation, self control and positive thinking can transform your experience into astonishing endings.
Never far and always near

I am there when you are scared
Between the bushes come rain or shine
I am there for the call of freedom
Ready to join the line

There in the morning
There in the evening
I am there when duty comes a calling
The fight is on and so we go

It’s a matter of will and not of thrill

Families are lost and dreams put on hold
For a sacrifice worth more than gold

How To Thank A Veteran? How do we civilians thank those who gave their all: their hobbies, beliefs, desires, families, and their lives for a worthy cause? Something greater than they will ever one day become...trading their lives for the lame, the unspoken, and the visible for the invisible—those the unborn, whom will one day reap the benefit of a sacrifice done today for the good of tomorrow and generations to come.

http://www.nyissues.com/
veterans-day-thank-you.html

Are there words noteworthy enough to express the true gratitude we should feel towards our Vets? Yes, there should be, but in actuality, there’s really none good enough to express such feelings. In short, you simply can't! There are no words (Big, Tall, High, Deep, or even wide, and encompassing) to express the gratitude necessary that will capture the moments in time to keep us remembering what they have done for us. We may try, but I believe once we begin, our vision may become glossy and blurred from the tears welling up in our hearts as they flood our eyes and make their ways down our chins. The mere memories of the fallen are enough to elicit tears.

Now, there’s something compelling and profound about tears. They speak a language that only the heart from whence they came is capable of interpreting. Tears are language that only a heart can understand. They are silent, but speak volume. If they could talk the world would not have enough books to store the abundance of the contents of our hearts combined. So, in our aim to say thanks to our Vets, and while words may be difficult to utter, our memory of them will live on for generations to come.

Remembering our Vets should not just be a day of rememberance, but a lifestyle of thanks and gratitude. Saying thanks is more than just the utterance of words. It is a feeling deeply expressed through the manifestation of what we see in various forms. Some through music, songs, deeds of gratitude, movies, dancing, art, visual aids and the list goes on. In retrospect, your thanks is your way of saying: “Even though I could not be there with you physically, I was, I am, and will be there in spirit as long as the noon day shows its face. I am there!
with Speaker: Andrew Guy

You are far too original to be a copy, and by far, too extremely sophisticated to be second-best. In a world filled with followers, copy-cats, photocopies and only a few professed-originals, you are second-to-none. You are too unique to be forgotten, and too AMAZING to be overlooked. You and I were created to be greater than we can ever imagine…in actuality, your only trouble is finding the path to REDISCOVERING the real “YOU” inside of you!

It’s apparent that most people are not satisfied with the perceived “who” they’ve been living with, and as a result have traded their perception for someone else. Now, there’s a crippling danger in all of this. In the same breath, it’s like someone who inherited a bank account with millions of dollars, from a deceased relative, and refused the account because of some news he received about the bank holding the account.

He gave up millions of dollars without verifying the facts for himself. Like this person, so are we; most times we make uniformed rash decisions without the facts. We take in and accept anything that others have to say about us without verification, and live our lives based on what we were told. Don’t do that! There’s more to you than you can ever imagine.

In fact, you owe it to yourself to find out and discover who you really are before calling it quits. The worse thing anyone can ever do in life is to say: I wonder what could have happened, if I tried. The fact is, no one knows; and only time will tell. Giving up on “you” is like never taking the time to breathe—when in essence the exchange of gases (carbon dioxide for oxygen) is the process of living. Without this vital exchange, there’s no life. In a nutshell, the dead is breathless, and the living is breathing! On the same token, if your goal in life is not fixed on discovering your potential (talents, aspirations, and gifts or T.A.Gs), and becoming the best “YOU” there is, then living becomes a chore that amounts to nothing more than a routine without hope.

Boost For Your Youth Program? Book Andrew Guy Today

Your style is your patent, and there’s only one. You! And since it is a rare commodity, the demands are high for your contribution to making this world the greatest place ever. An oasis; a place where the spirits people soar like eagles upon mountains of dreams they long to see; true living—bursting from the seams of doubt into the fullness of self-awareness and confidence to see the unseen. Your style is your original signature. No one can take this away from you. It’s part of your DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acids), your make-up—the building blocks to your every being. Like a finger print, it belongs to you.

A man once said, “We live in a broken world”, but I beg to differ. I think we have more broken people than the world can hold. If the people were fixed, the world would follow the path of restoration. Broken people break things. Not the other way around. And in most cases, it is people who live life clueless cause the most damage.

Finding your style is like having the perfect combination to a safe or key a specific lock, it opens up a world of endless possibilities. So just be you, because there are no other you coming back after “you” are gone, forever! Begin today.

Who are you, anyway? Do you really know who you are, and whom you've been living with all these years? If not, and even if you think you do, follow me on this path to rediscovering the real you. When you truly discover the real “YOU”, you’ll never wish to be any other, than the gem you’ve just discovered. Every one of us has this miscued vision of who we think we are, but who are we really fooling? Do you really know you? Do I really know me?
Book Andrew Guy As Your Speaker

The truth is we’ve only just begun to unravel the vast complexities of the human species, made in the image of God himself. And only then will you truly begin to live when you know you. Anything less than the real you is a relentless waiting for the grave, because the very thing (hope) which keeps you alive will have been blinded by unending tasks, jobs and careers. Let your process begin today.

You are like a baby, full of greatness but underdeveloped. Your years are meant to reveal the true you. So, how do you get past this lack of living, and on to the path of self-discovery, success, self-actualization, and impact people to a greater change? I’ll tell you, it’s no easy-cookie-cutter, ten-steps to fame, walk. It requires an in-depth analysis of self—digging deeper down into the very fiber of your being. Finding the real you requires steadfastness to a rare path that no one has ever traveled before. The good news is that it will become obvious to you when you begin. Your values will change, and you will begin to value people more instead of things. Let the journey begin. But first, remember, a journey has nothing to do with a destination; but everything to do with each stops along the way.

On this path all streets lead to success, and ever highway and bridges are named after you, and they all say in unisons “GO! Give it your best shot! You have nothing to lose only losing itself!” Along this path you’ll find people who really care about you; they honestly want you to make it. In fact, you making it mean more to them than the very words they use to motivate you.

Finding the real “YOU” requires having the right perspective, and the people in your corner, Ones who will tell you the truth regardless of the pain incured. They will not sugar-coat the facts, because being true to self is what makes all the difference in the world, so you can one day make the world a different place. And for you to truly know you, there must be honesty and accountability. Also, it’s not an overnight ordeal; it takes commitment, work, and dedication to an expected end. Plus, you have to believe that all things are possible, and that you are the greatest possibility ever happened to mankind.

It begins with knowing that you were created for greatness. And like a cake, you have everything (all the necessary ingredients) in you to become as the manufacturer (God) envisioned; second-to-none, and simply, Great! However, these ingredients must be activated and exercised to recreate the original product, the real you.

Yes, you may have some idea of what you are; human, but whom you are takes on a much deeper endeavor. It’s a process of “Rediscovering the real you.” This process is vital to understanding your purpose. And not knowing who you are is detrimental to both you, and everyone that comes in contact with you.

Visit us today: Andrewguyspeaks.com

You see, if you really knew that you came from heaven, and your job was to bring heaven to earth, and what it will take for this to happen--your head spin. Yes; a little too much to swallow, but He who created you said that you are more than a conqueror, you are an overcomer, set apart for His works and to reveal His Glory in times to come. Now, if you had foreknowledge of this mandate, what would you say? Chances are, you response would be just like Moses, "Who am I to go tell Pharaoh to let your people go? I'm nobody", you'd say: "I can't do this, send someone else"; when in fact, you were made for this very thing.

You may say, this has nothing to do with me. Moses and I are far too different; plus, he was raised by royalty. It doesn't make sense. Truth be told, the gap to self-discovery has increased significantly, and has been widened to guess-work and assumptions. Frankly, we really don’t know who we are. We know more about the next person than we do about ourselves. If that’s not surprising, then the little we “THINK” we know is only a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. Our problem is that we rely too much on being spoon fed with tainted information (he said-she said) which paints a false picture of what we really see instead of what we should look for.

Having a keen sense of self-awareness is key to experiencing self-actualization. To find out who you really are, go to the creator, the manufacturer of the product call you! In him you are sure to find every answer to your unanswered questions. Every house has a blueprint, and every blueprint is a design purposed to create something, but the purpose of the product is found only in the mind of the creator. In your case, it’s God the father, creator of all mankind.

To the gift that gives, and keeps on giving
How are you, mom?

I'm sittin' here thinkin' 'bout you, and the wonderful
things you've done for me. Yes, indeed, you sure are a blessing.
So much so, that hardly a day goes by without
me thanking God for making you the way he did.

I often wondered why He made some people, but that answer is never too farfetched. I get it now--some people are blessed to be a blessing to the world. It's like a wonderful blend and, I guess I'm on the receiving end.

I can't speak for every child, though, but if I were to,
I'd tell 'em how fortunate, blessed and highly favored I am to
know you, to have, and to be called your son. And to everyone else you second to none.

I find it hard to assemble the right combination words to
tell you how much I love you, appreciate you, and would do anything for you. And with only 26 letters in the alphabet, I am sometimes puzzled how we end up with thousands of words from that small bunch.

Now if I were to choose a from the thousands available, I would choose the following: Thank you for never failing to answer the phone when I call,
morning, noon, or night, you are always there.

And I guess it comes easy for you because I know you care.
Don't know what I'll ever do when you leave this earth, but this one
thing I know, I will cherrish every moment and the memories of you.

Another thing, I don't know how some people live without having parents, especially ones like you. I guess, God really cares about me a whole bunch to give me such a grand deal. He really hooked me up.

You are awesome, mom, and I just wanted to let you know.
Thank you for never giving up on me, thinks the best of me, and for never ceasing to pray for me.

To my dear mother, you are a gift from God. The gift that keeps on giving.
Thank you.

Strength 'N Numbers

By: Andrew Guy

We achieve much more when we team up, less when we are selfish, but nothing in isolation. A fist is the greatest demonstration of how powerful we can be when we come together, join resources, mental capacity, and believe that the best is still yet to come. Most people will not tell you this without charging you a fee, but I am here to tell you that there's no me without you. We need each other; and the more us there are (many becoming one) the greater our chances of success, and longevity.

Where there's a team, there's a winning spirit. You are at your best when you have help. Our true goal in life is to score, and score big; that is, to impact the world. And we can only do this when we come together. It is easy to break a piece of still, but put five pieces together and you've got yourself struggle. Hence, it requires more strength to break them. A Kingdom or family divided can't stand, but a village that stands together shall never fall.

Be proactive. Never take the "I am an Island" route, but join up with someone else today. Who knows, they may have the keys to open that door you've been waiting for.

Here's a quick example; I hate to use Hollywood as my feature, but it paints a better picture. Most families are ruined over divorce. While drugs may still be a setback for some, the breaking up of the family is most likely related to divorces. Mind you, there are no perfect families out there, except the "virtual" Cosbys, and they are only a memory for us in the form of a TV show.

Bottom line, what I want you to take away from reading this article is that, your family is the greatest treasure you will ever have. But, who really is your family? Simple; they are not just the people whom you live with, it's people you meet on daily. It is these repeated occurencies that presence the greatest opportunity to impact lives.

So, in essence, anyone can be your family. Your family is more than skin deep; they are across the seas, speak different language, come in various color, race, creed, religion and backgrounds. Just embrace them, and the change for a better world will follow. Let's team up with your them today for a greater tomorrow.

Start the process today, leave a comment and pass this on to a friend.

How to Budget With Confidence

By: Andrew Guy
Tweet

Are you the type to overspend, and find it hard to live within your means and stick to a budget? In an unpredictable economy where budgeting may not come as easy for some, knowing where to draw the line with your finance is crucial to maintaining your spending and borrowing power. While self control is necessary to keeping a budget, being confident with your money is the first step in starting and managing a budget.

The purpose of this article is to help you control your spending habits while maintaining a set budget to guide your money management. You may have heard it said before, credit cards are a trap especially for college students and young adults. Others have also said the best way to keep out of debt is to avoid credit cards entirely. Although these sayings may be popular, they are not entirely true for every individual. Below you will find some key and simple steps to begin your budget with confidence.

Success Strategies to boost your budgeting confidence
1. The problem is not money-money-money, monee! it's you, you, you! But that can be easily fix. Now don't feel bad because we all have these problems one time or another. Lucky for us, it's not permanent. First things first, take charge of your finance and your spending habits. The key to budgeting is balance: it is your ability to control your income versus what you spend. If you spend more than you earn poverty is at your front door. If you spend less than you earn, then your ability to make financial decisions increases dramatically, while at the same time empowering you to determine your level of desired wealth.

Therefore, budgeting is the continuous process of monitoring your ability to accumulate and manage your potential wealth. If you fail to budget you fail to spend wisely; and any failure to manage your money is an absolute ignorance to appreciate the sweat it took to get it in the first place.

2. If you work hard for your money, then you should work hard to protect it. Prevention is always better than a great cure. Therefore setting guidelines to prevent overspending is vital to starting a successful budget. Only spend what you must; only buy what you need, and not the things you want. Your needs supersedes your wants. While needs may be urgent, wants are temporary urges to your perpetual inability to suppress your ongoing self-gratification.

3. The best way to control your budget is to first control how much you spend. The most effective way to do this is to set up checkpoints to outgoing funds by purchasing a prepaid credit card. This way, you can only spend what is on your card. Next, only carry enough monies for your journey. Cook your food and bring it along, and avoid fast food establishments. Take the public transportation at least ten times per month; this will reduce your gasoline consumption significantly. If you work nearby, try riding your bicycle instead of using your car, truck or SUV. You may also want to team up with people in your area and carpool, that way, you are not only saving money, you are also protecting the environment.

4. Always buy your grocery items and household products in bulk form. You will prevent unnecessary trips to the store. The problem with frequent store shopping is more than just repetitive visitations; it is also the temptation to purchase things you do not need. I call those, "idle shopping," which is the fastest way to throw money away. Next, you want to get a Sam's Club Card. Initially, you may pay anywhere from $35 to $100 per year for a membership based on your preference, but the savings are great, and your products last longer.

Finally, if you still need help, seek a financial planner for added assistance.
Do some research to help you make informative decisions, books, etc.
And while there are no fast-tracks, easy-overnight steps to managing your money, but if you desire to have less stress and confidence in managing your finances, then starting and maintaining a budget may be right for you. Why not start today, your benefit awaits!

The surest way to achieve success is to help someone else become successful. Another's success is your success; there is no separation of greatness. Remember, all the wealth in the world is still here, it did not go anywhere. And if you hold on for just a little while, yours will be just around the corner. Just don't give in nor give up.

True success is the receiving of the tangle as a result of; seeing the intangible.
You are what you see, and what see defines how you act, and how you act; dictates your habits and your habits determines your character; and character exemplifies who you really are when no one is watching you. Basically, you are whom you are as sure as the mirror will not lie. Your reflection is a signature of the spirit which occupies your earthly shell, the body.

For the remaining part of this year, never forget to:
Act as if it were impossible to fail ..
Because for people like you and I , the word failure does not exist ...

Your success is non-negotiable...
This will be the greatest year of your life and the beginning of unprecedented success in your life!

Those who laughed at you before shall come to laugh with you...
However bad it has been with you till this point, you shall from henceforth enter into the rest and;
God shall take you to the place of your greatness and destiny.

You shall have victory that is certain...
In place of breakdown you shall have breakthrough; In confusion, you shall be enlightened; and in weakness, you shall be strengthened... There shall be for you beauty in place of ashes, the oil of gladness in place of spirit of heaviness...

Every closed door against your goodness, greatness and destiny shall open of their own accord...
You shall be instructed and illuminated within by the Spirit of God....
You shall rise above every obstacle and be carried on the wings of eagle...
God will remember you for good...

You shall fulfil and not frustrate destiny... Each and everyone one of us is going through some issues right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.
Please pass this to people you want to be blessed.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another.
Every now and again, you'll receive a gift that will keep on giving you: grace, encouragement, peace, tranquility, hope and endurance for the long hall. That special gift is the power of encouragement. Today is such a day; yes, today you will be blessed and are blessed to have the opportunity to read this blog and be encouraged. Everyone has tough days, but nothing makes life worth living than to have a breath of fresh air blowing your way in the form of a positive word, to help lift those heavy days off your shoulders.

By the way, the purpose of this blog to empower you to encourage others, to be a beacon of light in this dark and misguided world, a guide through the world wide web untrodened by spiders, and to sew seeds that will bring forth lasting fruit in the lives of everyone you touch.

This drive is what motivates me to write material to uplift my readers. And so, I am always looking for ways to make your time spent well worth it. I recently receive this prayer from a great friend of mine and decided to share it with you all. please read it and pass it on to everyone you want to receive a blessing today. Also, be sure to post a comment as to how I can pray for you that God will minister to you in your situation and give you strength to endure the vallies of life 'till you reach your mountain of victory.

Remember, things happen; some good and some bad, but they happen to us all. The goal is to press foward because better days are coming. Plus, you have not seen the best of you yet; hang in there.

MY EARNEST PRAYER FOR YOU

Because you will see the invisible , you will do the impossible ...

Because you will touch the intangible you will achieve the incredible.... Because you will hear the inaudible, you will have the unimaginable ....

Because of you, your family will not know poverty. You will go in and out of your house in peace....

Violence and crying of sorrow shall not be heard in your camp...

Favor shall overwhelm your endeavors

You shall not struggle to be recognized...

Every darkness in your life shall give way to the light of God...

All your lack will give way to abundance...

The rejected shall become the selected...

People shall hear your testimony and follow you to God...

In everything you do, you will succeed. ..

By the time 2010 ends, you will look back with joy; and ahead with great expectations ...

Because you know where you are going, the whole world will step aside and follow you...

May you find favor with God and men...

May you grow in wisdom and stature...

May you walk in dominion over every circumstance and situation...

You'll always get what you expect. So, expect great things then greatness will follow. Manifestations are a direct result of thought...thinking makes all the difference in the world; in most cases, your live depends on it.
Also, if you expect to always see the bad in every area of your life, that you will see. Your thoughts are like a paintbrush to a blank canvas, it always paints a picture. And every stroke of the brush leaves a stain.

You will see what you look for. This may include places, events, and the people you interact with, your actions will produce what you think.

You may also view your thinking (mind) as an extremely fertile ground that is easily impregnated by daily events via wayward thoughts. Your goal is to make sure that the seeds you sew (mentally) in your (thinking soil) produces the kind of harvest that is life enriching. This means, thoughts of racist, inequality, injustice, hatred, religious wars can be avoided if when we begin to cultivate the right mentality.

If your expectations are to have a bad day, a bad day you'll have. No doubt. Now the surprising thing is this, do not be surprise when you reap what you've sewn.

Let's change tomorrow today. Begin with the right thought in mind. Greatness is on it's way and are you ready. Tomorrow may never come, but today is certain; so make it count. Value the now with hopes for tomorrow. And just in case you are looking, Happiness is not out there; it's in there; right inside of you. Just tap into it. Just know, things do get better after the storm; be encouraged!

Let's talk: what things do you think hinders you from having a good day?
Post your comments.

Life Can Be As Good As...

By: Andrew Guy

Life can be as good as you want it to be. It starts with appreciating the little moments in hopes of the big ones. Find something to be thankful for in your life; it can't be that bad, unless, you are living the wrong life...and find at least one lousy excuse to be nice to someone this week; who knows, that someone could be you. "There's no definition for Faith; simply put, is a process!" (Aguy).

Be conscious in all you do. Do nothing under the influence, be it people or things; absolutely nothing, Drunk or not. And just in case you are looking, Happiness is not out there; it's in there; right inside of you. Just tap into it, and then share it with others.

Most people if you ask them for help would say: Nah, I am fresh out; got Natta, nothing. But the good news is that we all have something to share, freely, everyday, everywhere, every time, and to everyone—Love! Nothing else can mend the broken hearts of this society, put relationships back together, and forgive the unforgiveable like love. Absolutely nothing else will do, but plain 'ole Love.

And while you pray and seek for meaning in life, your prayers are sure be answered if you sincerely pray with a heart of love. Hearing from God is no trick of the imagination, it about love and sincerity.

Have you ever had a prayer answered in less than 30mins after praying? If you haven't, you really are missing out on infinite living. Prayer breaks the chains of hindrances, opens close doors, and frees the spirit to soar like the eagle it was design to be. Give God the praise!

True love shares, so, pass this only to someone you really care about.

Student Success: Surviving Freshmen Year & Beyond

By: Andrew Guy

As a Freshmen, you may not have a clue what to expect in your first year of college: study-skills, learning your teacher, type of friends to make (because this makes a major difference and does affect your success), partying, drinking, dating; wow, have I said enough? Not even close!

Okay, here is what I've found to be true. While it is very important to study your lesson for all your subjects, but the MOST important thing you can do to be successful in college is STUDY YOUR PROFESSOR OR TEACHERS!

Always listen carefully to the things he/she stresses during the lecture, and be sure to thoroughly review those areas before your test (along with others) and in most cases, you can almost guarantee to see some of those questions on the test/exam...

Other College success tips:
-Find other students who are good at what you want to master
-Never wait to ask for help
-Network with others
The heart of leadership is just that; it's a matter of the heart. It is not the position which makes one a leader, nor the amount of responsibilities that determines how well you lead; rather, it is the unseen duties you perform and the purpose you were called by.

Leadership is more than just telling others why, when, where, and what to do, it is the ability to bring about an insightful level awareness among a people regarding a current position or state you desire to change. Having done so, it is the duty of a leader to express, wittily, his/her vision to accomplish the task(s). There are no blueprints to effective leadership, only the one you create.

The Power to lead:

Doing It Better 2-gether

Moving forward has in it the power of teaming up with others. Therefore, the greatest way to experience life is to help someone...the most profitable investment one can ever make is in humans...."Not money, but people makes the world go 'round." Begin your investment today!
You and I need people in our lives to help make the journeys possible, and to enjoy the awaited destination. But in all actuality, you need the right people to make it happen.

The key here is to have the right people in your corner that will help you get to the right destination, while at the same time maintaining the right perspective. Not getting bull-headed, high minded, nor overly self-indulged. In other words, moving forward requires you to remain grounded and leave the helium for the hot air balloons. Hope you get the pun.

Next, take some time from your busy schedule to help someone this week or even this month. Give something, anything, to someone or even a stranger today. The bible puts it this way, paraphrasing… “Do not forget to entertain strangers because in doing so we entertain angels unawares" (Heb.13:2). So could you imagine helping a total stranger who just happens to be an angel? Wow! Now that’s living!

Teamwork 101: What Every Leader Needs to Know (101 (Thomas Nelson))Never wait for tomorrow to do what you have to do today. I believe NIKE says it best, “Just Do IT.” On the other hand, there are those who think otherwise. They believe later is always better when it comes to doing well or giving back. No; that’s incorrect. Tomorrow is only a “hope” not a promise. In fact, ever heard this saying? “I don’t have anything right now, but I can’t wait to make it, so I can give back!” Truth is, most never look back once they’ve “made-it” to whatever destination they had previously imagined. Whether your current location is in the Ghetto, suburbs, behind the gates or in the hills of Hollywood and your desire is to move forward, start reaching out to others today.

There's one thing about giving that makes all the difference in the world: it's never about the giver; it's about the creator of all things. Think of it this way, you can't give what you don't have; at least, so we often think. But the creator, God had it all planned out for the conduit, you and I. Everything is in you to give, and the greatest of all, which everyone has the same amount, is your time.
If we give only the tangible things, which anyone can give without any attachments, what good is that to the receiver? Only dependency is created. But if we give the intangible things, then we would have made a connection with others to last a life time.

With all the glooms and glitter, comes setbacks, but remember every setback is a setup for an even greater victory. Look for the good in everything you do. Believe me; they are only visible to those who seek. And find something to laugh about this week; it can change your day.
It's never how much you have that makes life worth living, but how much you've given away out of a pure heart....So give; it will be given back to you, in more ways that you could ever imagine.

Remember, giving has nothing to do with the giver, but He who created both the giver, and the receiver, and all things.

It's all about moving forward, and the most effective way is teaming up with others. The greatest way to experience life is to help someone...the most profitable investment one can ever make is in humans...."Not money, but people makes the world go 'round" Begin your investment today!

Whether your current location is in the Ghetto, suburbs, behind the gates or in the hills of Hollywood; start reaching out to others today. Things will dissappear long after you're gone. The only thing that will remain is people. There's no such thing as an everlasting battery, even they die after awhile.

With all the glooms and glitter, comes setbacks. But remember every setback is a setup for an even greater victory. Look for the good in everything you do; believe me, they are only visible to those who seek. And find something to laugh about this week, it can change your day.

Now take a deep breath and then exhale. What did you feel? But much more, how much did it cost you? Now stop and think what it would cost if you had to pay for each breath you took? Be thankful if it was Free. And even if it weren’t, keep praying, there’s healing on the way.

Okay, so what’s the point to all this? In order to understand moving forward, we must start cherishing the little-BIG things in life: from the lifting of our hands to the free air we breathe; give thanks. That means, admonishing the baby steps before we can walk, and the short walks before we can run. All of this is part of the grand destination comprised of small journeys.

On your quest to moving forward, you must realize that it is people that makes everything move, not things. Some say money makes the world go ‘round, but I beg to differ; it’s people. Money will not move a muscle unless someone moves it, use it, spent or put it to good use. Mind you, money is all mental, and only a small part of an even much greater picture in the grand scheme of things; it will do only what you desire it to do. So in essence, you were already wealthy, and filthy rich before you got the money in your hands.

My reason for saying this is that, many people are moved by money, and as a result become slaves to it. Some lose their minds, “goo goo-gaa-gaa!” In the end, lives are lost. Listen, you are as rich as you think you are, but as poor as you want to be. Change your situation by thinking the right things. Everything else will follow. Remember, actions are only a manifestation of thought, and pain is only a symptom or a resulting sign of something already gone wrong. Your job is to do the diagnosis, check it out before it’s too late.

So, having the right perspective, lifestyle and being active in your pursuit are just a few keys in your ability to move forward at any stage of life.

This week we are focusing on college students, mostly freshmen and sophomores, but this is also applicable to all youth and students. First, I would like to thank you for viewing our website. We trust that you learn something vital today, something that will change your life for the better.

College Drinking: Reframing a Social Problem
Today we are discussing the importance of being responsible, especially when drinking and driving is involved. Lives are lost, for good; homes are wrecked and families destroyed. Students and youth, IF YOU DRINK, DON'T DRIVE...PLEASE! A few sips of alcohol is not worth your eternity and the misery your loved ones are left to endure. Although I do not condone drinking, please get a designated driver if you decide to drink alcohol. There are many catastrophes that are preventable; driving drunk or under the influence is one of them. It is your responsibility to say no to drunk driving. "LOSE THE BOTTLE. SAVE A LIFE."

Driving Under The Influence ls a bad combination for college students and socializing, especially those living away from home. "If you Have to drink, Don't Drive." There's More Riding on your tires than Metal! Put your family first, and think about the agony they will have to endure when you are gone. "Say No To The Bottle and Yes To LiFe" (copyright 2010 for Andrewguyspeaks.com)

Many college freshmen leave home, some watch as their families wave goodbye, and never return. They end up dead. You don't have to be a statistic; show your family how much you care by doing your best to return home safely to them. Do your part, the rest is yours to live!

Your Relationship Tip of The Week:

Ladies, if you want your relationship to work listen up! Never outsource manly duties to a third party; especially another male: like fixing stuff around the house, or mending small things. Get your man involved in your life and affairs. Let him be option number one, always. Give him the first look at whatever you are thinking about getting repaired: your car before you take it to the mechanic.

Have him check out your computer before taking it for repair or even check out that rattling noise behind the old refrigerator; Allow him to give your son a hair cut instead of taking him to the barbershop; and if he doesn't know how to, tell him to learn! Quick, and in a hurry!
Ladies, here's the deal, by not empowering him to participate in your everyday affairs, cripples the man or husband and transfers his power to someone else. Provide a praise opportunity. Ask them for help! Don’t tell or order him to do this or that. And remember, make your requests with No ultimatum or holdouts (on bed talks or touchy-feely stuff), especially if what you asked did not pan-out the way you expected. Just ask! Also, let him know how much it means when he does anything for you.

Also, don’t nag. It's not cool. No man likes that sort of treatment. It’s just something about men; it doesn’t jive with us. But you can get us to climb a mountain, swim a frigid lake in a Toto or bottomless, if you would simply just ask! Try it; sincerely ask him for help and see what happens. And here is the best part, praise him when he does anything. Don’t nag, just praise, appreciate and affirm him.

I don’t care if he just wiped the snot off your grill, or used his callus hands to apply some Johnson Baby Lotion to your cracked heel; scrubbed down that old car that your great, great granddad gave you, which he drove for three hundred years back in the slave days, after dating Harriot Tubman following her nineteenth trip on the Underground Railroad. Let him know you really, really appreciate what he did, and continues to do for you. Praise him in front of the children, and especially your male child.

Here’s a secret; shhhhhh! Don’t let this one out of the cookie jar or else crumbs will fall in the wrong place and I will get in Big-Big-Biiiig trouble! You heard! Okay, are you listening? You sure? Okay, here goes: Listen up; even if he knows "Didly-squat" about any of what you are talking about or asking him to do, still ask. I know this may seem foolish and awkward for most of you, but it just works!

By doing this you would have empowered your man to assist you in the little things, or even more, encourage him to feel as if he's contributing, at least to some degree around the crib, house, villa or in Spanish, Mi Castillo, or Italian, "La mia casa tua casa!" Whatever you call it, who, cares! If you have a good man and want to keep him. Be like NIKE, AND JUST DO THE DARN THING! Trust me on this; you will reap the “Ben-HE-Fits!” This works; I’m a manly man, I’m telling you the truth!
