• all is well on the relationship front — Frank and I are officially engaged! this makes us both extremely happy. for the curious, no date as of yet. I’m sure we’ll figure it out at some point. *grin*
• now that the weather is finally getting to the point where I’m not walking around shivering and half-frozen, I’ve been working to unpack all my belongings and crafty stuff and get some semblance of order out in the Studio. we’ve also been doing major yardwork (Frank tore out all the grass in the front yard) and prepping the back patio for hanging out and de-stressing. I get to do the landscaping for the back, so been idea searching on Pinterest and other web sites. I want it to be very private, relaxing, and full of blooming flowers, not to mention adding a small pond/waterfall feature. it’ll be a small retreat from the crappy world (see below).
• my sweetie adopted a kitty from the local shelter — we’ve named her Pearl and she’s a great addition to the family. check out her pic on my Facebook.
• finished one piece of doodle art, and about to finish another. then gotta start on one for my daughter (she wants to hang it at her house *s*).
• I’m still hating on the whole corporate/retail job thing. I can’t even manage to get promoted or made full time. *insert lots and lots of appropriate curse words here* time to really start job hunting — definitely! (oh, and Anicka and I want to start a mother/daughter biz —  fun, fun!)
• gonna start doing Firm workouts again. Anicka lent me one to start off with and we went in together on a vhs converter so we can get all the other tapes converted to dvd’s.  my faves have always been the first 3 volumes.
• things aren’t so great with the fam front — my Mom and I are not getting along, don’t hear from most other fam members, and I am clueless as to what’s going on with Devon…..but I’m not allowing any of that to interfere with my happiness and with my “new life”….just not f’ing going to happen!
• re: the site….check out my YouTube Electronika playlist over on the sidebar….I’ve been super getting into this music for the past few months. yes, yes, I know I’m a major music fanatic!
• my writing is on hold till I finish out in the Studio (I haven’t even been reading much of late)
• as for the rest of the world and the state it is in…….frankly, I figure we are all fucked. we’re going to kill ourselves off with some sort of epidemic or a war or by not taking care of the sole planet we live on. there’s way too much violence, too much stupidity, a discouraging lack of common sense, and disgusting excessive consumerism running rampant. we’ve gotta give all that childish shit up, grow up, evolve, be the True Lovers and Beings of Light we are.  whoops! there goes my dreamy idealism rearing its peaceful, loving head. *lol*
• oh well, back to something positive, and on to listening to my tunes and drawing….hey, its a day off for me…..so I’m indulging….

But, really, truly…..I’d rather do one (or some, or all) of the following:

• Meditate for an hour for motivational purposes to one of Dr. Jeffrey Thompson’s bad-ass cd’s -

  
  

• Compose music using either the Reaper DAW or Magix Music Maker (wish I could afford Samplitude)

  

• Break my impenetrable writer’s block and do some roleplay, poetry or fiction writing
• Work on doodle art pieces (I want to do a 16×20 canvas piece, too — maybe even do a whole wall!)
• Crochet a case for my HTC Evo
• Finish my beaded mobile/wind chime thingee
• Finish the backstitching on my celestial cross-stitch work that is forever in progress
• Continue graphics, layout and verbiage development of the Fantasia hood in AW and my hood home there (not to mention the one I’m doing on the Chesapeake Bay) {too many other things I’d like to accomplish there to mention!}
• Add more content to this site and my one on depression
• lastly, ponder and brainstorm what  I can do at home to make enough money to quit my job *eg* yay!

Oh well, I try to do a little each day. Not particularly satisfying, but it has to suffice.

For now I’ll just polish my nails, maybe do a little drawing, and then get ready for work this afternoon.

Been journalling for my own recovery process (I’m trying to avoid my cursed depression — by the way, the St. John’s Wort didn’t help much with that; I may go back to trying the 5-HTP).
