The VLDB Conferences constitute one of the most eminent venues for the timely dissemination of research and development results in the field of database management. This series is perhaps the most international (in terms of participation, technical content, organization, and location) among all comparable events. The conference will feature research talks, keynotes, PhD workshops, tutorials, demonstrations, panels, and workshops.

The Cyber Center is very pleased to be able to continue supporting valuable doctoral research at Purdue through our SIRG (Special Incentive Research Grant) award. We received a significant number of very strong proposals, each well deserving of support. We want to express our appreciation to everyone who applied. Awards have been made for the following four proposals, with each award funding one doctoral student for the 2010-2011 Academic Year.
