This is my entry for this year’s Dialogue Free Comics Day (and is also for my good friend Alaric).

I can’t post an icon based comic without giving a shout to The System - the purveyor of regular high class icon based humour. Also, you should check out Lunar Baboon – ’tis very good.

Hourly Comic Day was instigated by John Campbell nearly ten years ago and has grown into something of an institution. The idea is that you draw a quick comic detailing your day every hour and post them online. Sounds simple but it’s strangely fascinating. I’ve wanted to do it for quite a while now, but am usually working. However, I happened to have a day off this year (yeah for the triple dip recession) and managed to plunge in. I only managed eight comics, so it’s not quite the full hourly comic experience, but it’ll do for a first attempt. My daughter even joined in with one and, naturally, hers is the best, so I’ve saved it till last.

There are plenty to enjoy more over at The Beat (I particularly enjoyed Dan Berry’s).

On Jan 16th 2009 today I posted my very first DJ Bogtrotter comic. My little baby is now four years old (and still wets the bed at night). I’m still enjoying churning them out, hope you’re still enjoying reading them. Altogether now, “Four more years! Four more years!”

Notice anything? I didn’t draw this comic digitally, but went back to a pencil and pen. After four years of trying to draw on glass, I’m finally giving up and going old school. This might lead to my artwork actually improving a bit, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Merry Christmas everyone. This is my 100th DJ Bogtrotter cartoon. Woohoo – it only took me four years. Was it worth the wait? (Please don’t actually answer that). Hope you all have a smashing Xmas and see you next year for more patchy and infrequent updates.

Gah, I should draw my ideas when I think of them. I wrote this one a while ago but thought I’d save it for when The Avengers came out. Then I saw this comic from Optipess and thought ‘Oh bugger’. Then I thought, ‘But I want to draw the Hulk’, so I decided to post my comic anyway and to tell you that you should go and read Optipess because it’s very funny.

My other webcomic, Milton’s Life, turned two years old at the weekend and to celebrate, I’m giving away free (yes free) drawings of Milton with any purchase over £2/$3. So, if you make a purchase, just email me (noel@miltonslife.com) with what you’d like to see Milton doing. Please bear in mind the limits of my artistic ability. If you ask for a picture of Milton riding a surfing velociraptor whilst having a light sabre fight with Darth Maul, it’ll probably end up looking a bit shit.
