En los Estados Unidos salio' a la venta el 25 de octubre de 2005, en Europa el 4 de noviembre de 2005, en Sydney el 11 de noviembre de 2005, y en Japon en el 1 de diciembre 2005. Para PC, salio' el 1 de marzo de 2007, realizando un lanzamiento mundialmente. La edition de Wii aparecio' el dia 29 de junio de 2007.

En comparacion, la edition del PlayStation 2 es mas completa y complicada que la edition del GameCube, embargo esta ultima ofrece principal efectos visuales. Minecraft is a separate sand box activity that allows developing using the prevents (cubes) of which the world is made. It was designed by Markus "Notch" Persson and is currently in Try out. The progression of Minecraft started around the Tenth of May 2009. The overall activity play was based on the experience titles Small Adventure, Dungeon Owner and Infiniminer.
