Nightmare Distribution Set to Distribute Paris Keeling’s End of Ride Revisited CD Surgeland Records inks worldwide distribution deal for Paris Keeling’s End of Ride Revisited CD featuring vocalist Kelly Keeling, guitarist Marty Paris + rock royalty

Atlanta, GA – Surgeland Records, a division of Serge Entertainment Group LLC, inked a worldwide distribution deal with Nightmare Distribution to distribute the CD “End of Ride Revisited” by rock band Paris Keeling. The deal provides distribution of the physical CD to retailers around the world. The CD features songs previously released on the 2006 Paris Keeling CD “End of Ride” along with bonus tracks and remixes. The CD features the renowned vocal talents of Kelly Keeling (Baton Rouge, Michael Schenker Group, Blue Murder, Carmine Appice’s Guitar Zeus, King Kobra, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, O’2L) and guitarist Marty Paris (The Marty Paris Band, Permanent Reverse) as well as celebrity musicians’ performances by Don Dokken, Carmine Appice, George Lynch, Al Pitrelli, Erik Norlander, and Shane Gaalaas. Along with Paris and Keeling, core band members consist of Rick van Benschoten, Matt Goeke, Gintas Janusonis with additional performances by Nate Howell, and The Aevia Trio featuring Diane Cox, Maud Kelley, and Juli Roach. The collaboration between Paris and Keeling began several years ago with the culmination of their songwriting styles blossoming into melodic rock political and relationship-based songs.

“I’ve known Lance King, owner of Nightmare Distribution, for a good ten years now,” remarks Sandy Serge, owner/president of Surgeland Records. “He distributed some of Surgeland’s previous titles. I look forward to working closely with Lance to promote sales for this astounding melodic rock CD, especially in Europe and Japan.”

Surgeland Records previously released several CDs including a rock collaboration between former Sleeze Beez (Atlantic Records) members Andrew Elt and Don van Spall titled The Moon; a “Best of” CD by legendary Milwaukee rock band Bad Boy (featuring former Cheap Trick member Xeno); and “Seeing in the Dark”, the acoustic-driven CD by Iowa alt band NineDollarMelonBaller. Have you always wanted to be part of a musical project? While now’s your chance on singer songwriter Stacie Rose’s upcoming musical project, The Alter-Ego EPs. When you visit her page on pledgemusic.com you’ll have the opportunity to pledge money towards the project. Besides helping Stacie raise the money necessary to do the project, depending on how much you pledge you’ll receive in return anything from a copy of the release to having an Executive producer’s credit.

As the title The Alter-Ego suggests the two EPs will showcase different sides of Stacie’s music. Here’s how they are described:

EP 1 will be an amalgamation of gritty & pretty! Perhaps, a little rougher around the edges than Stacie’s previous recordings. Think Neil Young meets PJ Harvey, meets Linda Ronstadt, meets early Tom Petty, meets The Pretenders, meets Pat Benatar, meets Blondie…The Working title for EP 1 is, Stiletto.

EP 2 will be a bit more sparkly, glam, and dance. The Free-spirited Rose always believed that life is too short to just stand around when you could be swinging your hips and enjoying life’s pleasures. Having gotten sucked into the minutia of the everyday life, and giving into the chaos and trauma, she needed to break out, and back into living! This will be similar to a mix tape of songs to kiss, sun and sway to. The working title for EP 2 is Raw Sugar.

You need to hurry though to be part of this project as there’s only 15 days left as of this posting’s date to make a pledge. So far Stacie has been able to raise $3,935 of the $5,520 needed for the EPs.

As the story goes, the last time Don Henley sat at the same booth as the rest of the Eagles, he ordered “Concrete Class.” Now, what is “Concrete Class?” “Concrete Class” is the third full-length from Seattle, Washington’s own The Lonely H.

Now a quintet, The Lonely H have added a fifth member. The new member, Casey Frasier, will handle guitar and keyboard duties, allowing front man Mark Fredson to solely sing. The band is rounded out by Brothers Whitman – Eric Whitman (guitar) and Johnny Whitman (bass) – and drummer Ben Eyestone.

Frasier, 20 years old, and the shortest member of the band, had this to say about joining The Lonely H: “Now I gotta grow a mustache?”

There is nothing ordinary about The Lonely H. And, if you haven’t heard “Concrete Class” yet, well, you should give it a spin.

Fronted by the charismatic, 6′7″, 19 year old Mark Fredson, a man hard to miss in any room for both his height and booming voice, and accompanied by the Brothers Whitman – Eric Whitman (guitar) and Johnny Whitman (bass) – drummer Ben Eyestone, and newcomber Casey Fraiser (guitar/keys), The Lonely H not only look the part, but their sound is as authentic as it comes.

But, it doesn’t end there — these 12 tracks were recorded and mixed on miles of analog tape, sweat with the heart and honesty to match. Bearing melodies that pump at the passing of every mile marker, the music radiates a steadfast dedication to not only rock and roll music, but to rock and roll as a way of life. This idea, the boys don’t take lightly.

Don’t let the fresh faces and blonde locks fool you, these northwest gauchos have seen more red, white, and blue than that trucker eyeing your little sister. And they’re not satisfied yet.

ASIA Featuring John Payne Sets USA Release Date for Military Man October 27th 5-song EP release blends the old with the new

Los Angeles, CA – After a successful summer festival tour, classic AOR band ASIA Featuring John Payne is scheduled to release their Military Man EP in the USA via Voiceprint Records on October 27th, 2009. The 5-song EP features new versions of “Military Man” and “Long Way Home” as well as the song “Neurosaur”, penned by Asia Featuring John Payne keyboardist Erik Norlander. Along with Payne (vocals and bass), and Norlander (keyboards), the EP features Guthrie Govan on guitars and Jay Schellen on drums.

Asia Featuring John Payne drew crowds in record numbers at numerous shows such as the Valley Cultural Arts Center in Woodland Hills, CA throughout their summer tour. “I was extremely happy with the welcome we received at our USA shows this year,” remarks frontman/bassist John Payne. “Let’s do it again next year!” The band went so far as to secure an upcoming encore performance at the Isle Casino in Biloxi, MS on November 20th thanks to the popularity of their previous show at the establishment earlier this year.

John Payne became the frontman of the supergroup ASIA in 1992 at the invitation of keyboardist Geoff Downes, replacing vocalist/bassist John Wetton. ASIA extensively toured the world for the next 14 years performing new classics and old favorites. With John Payne fronting the band, ASIA released 8 stunning studio albums and several live recordings. In 2006, Geoff Downes left the band to reform the 1982 line up for their 25th anniversary. On the 9th of May 2006, John Payne, Geoff Downes, John Wetton, Carl Palmer and Steve Howe contractually agreed that John Payne would continue his 14 year legacy with ASIA as “ASIA Featuring John Payne”.

The Arkanes are through to the Finals of the “Peoples music awards”. Having beaten several hundreds of bands to make it through to the last 5 of the competition which was voted on by the likes of Tony Platt (The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley) Mick Glossop (Frank Zappa, John Lee Hooker, Lloyd Cole, Van Morrison) and by no less than two great Dj’s John Kennedy (Xfm) and Alex Baker (Kerrang Radio).

The Arkanes are a four piece Alternative/Rock band from Skelmersdale just outside Liverpool. With influences such as The Vines, Nirvana and the Phonics the band was founded by Vocalist/Guitarist Chris Pate in late 2007 the band was made complete with Guitarist Adam Sheeran, Bassist/Vocalist Lee Dummett and Andy Long on the drums.

The band have been described as an “Untouchable live act”, with high energy live performances. Their first gig just over 2 years back in The Gravy Train,Newton Le Willows, went down a storm and the band have since gone on to play in 25 different city’s and towns across the UK and Europe including Dublin Castle, InTheCity @ Manchesters Drybar, Matthew Street Festival Liverpool (Europe’s biggest free festival), Summer Rockwerk festival and The Boardwalk in Sheffield.

They have also had some truly memorable nights at venues such as ‘Moho Live’ in Manchester, Liverpool’s Zanzibar and The Cavern club, it was there that they where spotted by their current management and the bands cause started to pick up pace.

Just a few months later a journey to Germany was taken upon to record their first Single “Sharpshooter” with talented producer Andre Horstmann (Slash, Rod Stewart, Cher), off the back of a top 10 hit he started to apply his trade to what we call The Arkanes today. Shortly after the recordings were completed the band signed a publishing deal with Fantastic Sounds Publishing bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team surrounding the band.

Since then the band have gone on to play at Festivals such as What Festival, Cockermouth Festival, Birmingham Arts Festival (Kerrang unsigned stage) and soon to the Eastwind Festival in India.

The Arkanes have since enjoyed airplay on such radio stations as BBC Radio 6 with Tom Robinson,CISM FM Canada, Radio 3 Spain,The Undiscovered show US and various other radio stations around the world.

Featuring at Eastwind Festival India for 2010 and soon to be touring Chile, Brazil as well as a return tour to Europe.

BLIND PILOT’S FALL TOUR IN FULL SWING; TOUR BEGINS WITH PACKED HOUSE AT SAN FRANCISCO’S GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC HALL AND SOLD OUT SHOW AT LOS ANGELES’ TROUBADOUR

Rising Portland, OR-based band, Blind Pilot, have kicked off their nationwide tour, starting with a packed house at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall and a sold out show, tonight, at Los Angeles’ famed Troubadour.

The tour arrives on the heels of their full-length debut, “3 Rounds and a Sound” (Expunged Records), which earned the band performances on national radio (NPR’s ‘Morning Edition’ and ‘All Songs Considered’), national television (‘Last Call with Carson Daly’) and a spot on this year’s bill for the esteemed NPR Music Showcase at SXSW in Austin, TX. The album received praise from USA Today, the Boston Globe, the New York Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer, which calls the music a rustic reverie. Additionally, the track “Go On, Say It” was recently selected as the Single of the Week on iTunes.

Blind Pilot just wrapped up their summer touring, supporting The Decemberists, Andrew Bird, and the acclaimed British rock band Gomez. Blind Pilot recently played sets at this year’s Lollapalooza, Sasquatch!, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, and this weekend will be playing at the Sisters Folk Festival.

In 2007, Blind Pilot’s founding members Israel Nebeker (vocals, guitar) and Ryan Dobrowski (drums) embarked on a West Coast bicycle tour playing mostly to unfamiliar listeners at small-town venues. The venturesome duo has since come a long way from their grassroots inception. This summer, Nebeker and Dobrowski rounded out Blind Pilot’s lineup as a six-piece with fellow Oregonians Luke Ydstie (upright bass, backing vocals), Kati Claborn (banjo, dulcimer, backing vocals), Ian Krist (vibraphones) and Dave Jorgensen (keyboards, trumpet).
